سُبْحَـٰنَ

Exalted

sub'ḥāna

ٱلَّذِىٓ

(is) the One Who

alladhī

أَسْرَىٰ

took

asrā

بِعَبْدِهِۦ

His servant

biʿabdihi

لَيْلًۭا

(by) night

laylan

مِّنَ

from

mina

ٱلْمَسْجِدِ

Al-Masjid Al-Haraam

l-masjidi

ٱلْحَرَامِ

Al-Masjid Al-Haraam

l-ḥarāmi

إِلَى

to

ilā

ٱلْمَسْجِدِ

Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa

l-masjidi

ٱلْأَقْصَا

Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa

l-aqṣā

ٱلَّذِى

which

alladhī

بَـٰرَكْنَا

We blessed

bāraknā

حَوْلَهُۥ

its surroundings

ḥawlahu

لِنُرِيَهُۥ

that We may show him

linuriyahu

مِنْ

of

min

ءَايَـٰتِنَآ ۚ

Our Signs

āyātinā

إِنَّهُۥ

Indeed He

innahu

هُوَ

He

huwa

ٱلسَّمِيعُ

(is) the All-Hearer

l-samīʿu

ٱلْبَصِيرُ

the All-Seer

l-baṣīru

١

Glorificado sea Quien transportó a Su Siervo durante la noche, desde la mezquita sagrada a la mezquita lejana cuyos alrededores he bendecido, para mostrarle algunos de Mis signos. Él todo lo oye, todo lo ve.

And We gave

Musa

ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ

the Book

وَجَعَلْنَـٰهُ

and made it

هُدًۭى

a guidance

hudan

لِّبَنِىٓ

for the Children

libanī

إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ

(of) Israel

is'rāīla

أَلَّا

That not

allā

تَتَّخِذُوا۟

you take

tattakhidhū

مِن

other than Me

min

دُونِى

other than Me

dūnī

وَكِيلًۭا

(as) a Disposer of affairs

wakīlan

٢

He revelado a Moisés el Libro como guía para el pueblo de Israel, y les ordené: “No toméis protector fuera de Mí”.

And We decreed

إِلَىٰ

بَنِىٓ

إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ

فِى

ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ

the Book

l-kitābi

لَتُفْسِدُنَّ

Surely you will cause corruption

latuf'sidunna

فِى

in

fī

ٱلْأَرْضِ

the earth

l-arḍi

مَرَّتَيْنِ

twice

marratayni

وَلَتَعْلُنَّ

and surely you will reach

walataʿlunna

عُلُوًّۭا

haughtiness

ʿuluwwan

كَبِيرًۭا

great

kabīran

٤

He revelado en el Libro lo que decreté para el pueblo de Israel: “Corromperéis la Tierra dos veces y os convertiréis en tiranos soberbios.

فَإِذَا

So when

fa-idhā

جَآءَ

وَعْدُ

(the) promise

waʿdu

أُولَىٰهُمَا

(for) the first of the two

ūlāhumā

بَعَثْنَا

We raised

baʿathnā

عَلَيْكُمْ

against you

ʿalaykum

عِبَادًۭا

servants

ʿibādan

لَّنَآ

of Ours

lanā

أُو۟لِى

those of great military might

ulī

بَأْسٍۢ

those of great military might

basin

شَدِيدٍۢ

those of great military might

shadīdin

فَجَاسُوا۟

and they entered

fajāsū

خِلَـٰلَ

the inner most part

khilāla

ٱلدِّيَارِ ۚ

(of) the homes

l-diyāri

وَكَانَ

and (it) was

wakāna

وَعْدًۭا

a promise

waʿdan

مَّفْعُولًۭا

fulfilled

mafʿūlan

٥

Cuando corrompáis por primera vez, enviaré contra vosotros siervos Míos en huestes de gran fortaleza y rudeza, que atacarán vuestros hogares. Esta promesa será cumplida.

ثُمَّ

Then

thumma

رَدَدْنَا

We gave back

radadnā

لَكُمُ

to you

lakumu

ٱلْكَرَّةَ

the return victory

عَلَيْهِمْ

over them

ʿalayhim

وَأَمْدَدْنَـٰكُم

And We reinforced you

wa-amdadnākum

بِأَمْوَٰلٍۢ

with the wealth

bi-amwālin

وَبَنِينَ

and sons

wabanīna

وَجَعَلْنَـٰكُمْ

and made you

wajaʿalnākum

أَكْثَرَ

more

akthara

نَفِيرًا

numerous

nafīran

٦

Luego os permitiré que retornéis a vuestros hogares [victoriosos] expulsándoles. Os agraciaré con bienes materiales e hijos y os convertiré en un pueblo numeroso.

إِنْ

If

أَحْسَنتُمْ

you do good

aḥsantum

أَحْسَنتُمْ

you do good

aḥsantum

لِأَنفُسِكُمْ ۖ

for yourselves

li-anfusikum

وَإِنْ

and if

wa-in

أَسَأْتُمْ

you do evil

asatum

فَلَهَا ۚ

then it is for it

falahā

فَإِذَا

So when

fa-idhā

جَآءَ

came

jāa

وَعْدُ

promise

waʿdu

ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ

the last

l-ākhirati

لِيَسُـۥٓـُٔوا۟

to sadden

liyasūū

وُجُوهَكُمْ

your faces

wujūhakum

وَلِيَدْخُلُوا۟

and to enter

waliyadkhulū

ٱلْمَسْجِدَ

the Masjid

l-masjida

كَمَا

just as

kamā

دَخَلُوهُ

they (had) entered it

dakhalūhu

أَوَّلَ

first

awwala

مَرَّةٍۢ

time

marratin

وَلِيُتَبِّرُوا۟

and to destroy

waliyutabbirū

مَا

what

mā

عَلَوْا۟

they had conquered

ʿalaw

تَتْبِيرًا

(with) destruction

tatbīran

٧

Si obráis bien será en beneficio propio, pero si obráis mal será en vuestra contra. Cuando corrompáis por segunda vez, os vencerán [vuestros enemigos] e ingresarán al Templo como lo hicieron la primera vez y devastarán todo lo que encuentren.

عَسَىٰ

(It) may be

ʿasā

رَبُّكُمْ

that your Lord

rabbukum

أَن

that your Lord

an

يَرْحَمَكُمْ ۚ

(may) have mercy upon you

yarḥamakum

وَإِنْ

But if

wa-in

عُدتُّمْ

you return

ʿudttum

عُدْنَا ۘ

We will return

ʿud'nā

وَجَعَلْنَا

And We have made

wajaʿalnā

جَهَنَّمَ

Hell

jahannama

لِلْكَـٰفِرِينَ

for the disbelievers

lil'kāfirīna

حَصِيرًا

a prison-bed

ḥaṣīran

٨

Luego vuestro Señor se apiadará de vosotros pero, si reincidís [en la corrupción], os volveré a castigar. El Infierno será prisión para los que se nieguen a creer.

Indeed

inna

هَـٰذَا

this

hādhā

ٱلْقُرْءَانَ

the Quran

l-qur'āna

يَهْدِى

guides

yahdī

لِلَّتِى

to that

lillatī

هِىَ

which

hiya

أَقْوَمُ

(is) most straight

aqwamu

وَيُبَشِّرُ

and gives glad tidings

wayubashiru

ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

to the believers

l-mu'minīna

ٱلَّذِينَ

those who

alladhīna

يَعْمَلُونَ

do

yaʿmalūna

ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ

the righteous deeds

l-ṣāliḥāti

أَنَّ

that

anna

لَهُمْ

for them

lahum

أَجْرًۭا

(is) a reward

ajran

كَبِيرًۭا

great

kabīran

٩

El Corán guía por el sendero más justo y firme y di a los creyentes que obran rectamente que recibirán una gran recompensa.

And that

wa-anna

ٱلَّذِينَ

those who

لَا

(do) not

يُؤْمِنُونَ

believe

yu'minūna

بِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ

in the Hereafter

bil-ākhirati

أَعْتَدْنَا

We have prepared

aʿtadnā

لَهُمْ

for them

lahum

عَذَابًا

a punishment

ʿadhāban

أَلِيمًۭا

painful

alīman

١٠

Pero a quienes no crean en la otra vida les he preparado un castigo doloroso.

وَيَدْعُ

And prays

wayadʿu

ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ

the man

l-insānu

بِٱلشَّرِّ

for evil

bil-shari

دُعَآءَهُۥ

(as) he prays

duʿāahu

بِٱلْخَيْرِ ۖ

for the good

bil-khayri

وَكَانَ

And is

wakāna

ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ

the man

l-insānu

عَجُولًۭا

ever hasty

ʿajūlan

١١

El ser humano ruega a Dios el mal con la misma facilidad con que ruega pidiendo el bien: el ser humano es muy precipitado.

وَجَعَلْنَا

And We have made

wajaʿalnā

ٱلَّيْلَ

the night

al-layla

وَٱلنَّهَارَ

and the day

wal-nahāra

ءَايَتَيْنِ ۖ

(as) two signs

āyatayni

فَمَحَوْنَآ

Then We erased

famaḥawnā

ءَايَةَ

(the) sign

āyata

ٱلَّيْلِ

(of) the night

al-layli

وَجَعَلْنَآ

and We made

wajaʿalnā

ءَايَةَ

(the) sign

āyata

ٱلنَّهَارِ

(of) the day

l-nahāri

مُبْصِرَةًۭ

visible

mub'ṣiratan

لِّتَبْتَغُوا۟

that you may seek

litabtaghū

فَضْلًۭا

bounty

faḍlan

مِّن

from

min

رَّبِّكُمْ

your Lord

rabbikum

وَلِتَعْلَمُوا۟

and that you may know

walitaʿlamū

عَدَدَ

(the) number

ʿadada

ٱلسِّنِينَ

(of) the years

l-sinīna

وَٱلْحِسَابَ ۚ

and the account

wal-ḥisāba

وَكُلَّ

And every

wakulla

شَىْءٍۢ

thing

shayin

فَصَّلْنَـٰهُ

We have explained it

faṣṣalnāhu

تَفْصِيلًۭا

(in) detail

tafṣīlan

١٢

He hecho del día y de la noche dos signos: el signo de la noche es la oscuridad, y el signo del día es la luminosidad para que busquéis el favor de vuestro Señor, y he hecho que con estos dos signos pudierais saber el número de los años y el cómputo de los meses. Todas las cosas las he explicado detalladamente.

وَكُلَّ

And (for) every

wakulla

إِنسَـٰنٍ

man

insānin

أَلْزَمْنَـٰهُ

We have fastened to him

alzamnāhu

طَـٰٓئِرَهُۥ

his fate

ṭāirahu

فِى

in

fī

عُنُقِهِۦ ۖ

his neck

ʿunuqihi

وَنُخْرِجُ

and We will bring forth

wanukh'riju

لَهُۥ

for him

lahu

يَوْمَ

(on the) Day

yawma

ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ

(of) the Resurrection

l-qiyāmati

كِتَـٰبًۭا

a record

kitāban

يَلْقَىٰهُ

which he will find

yalqāhu

مَنشُورًا

wide open

manshūran

١٣

Todo ser humano será responsable por sus actos y el Día de la Resurrección le entregaré un libro abierto.

ٱقْرَأْ

Read

Sufficient

حَسِيبًۭا

١٤

[Se le dirá:] “Lee tu libro, pues hoy será suficiente con que tú mismo leas el registro de tus obras [para saber cuál será tu destino]”.

مَّنِ

Whoever

mani

ٱهْتَدَىٰ

(is) guided

ih'tadā

فَإِنَّمَا

then only

fa-innamā

يَهْتَدِى

he is guided

yahtadī

لِنَفْسِهِۦ ۖ

for his soul

linafsihi

وَمَن

And whoever

waman

ضَلَّ

goes astray

ḍalla

فَإِنَّمَا

then only

fa-innamā

يَضِلُّ

he goes astray

yaḍillu

عَلَيْهَا ۚ

against it

ʿalayhā

وَلَا

And not

walā

تَزِرُ

will bear

taziru

وَازِرَةٌۭ

a bearer of burden

wāziratun

وِزْرَ

burden

wiz'ra

أُخْرَىٰ ۗ

(of) another

ukh'rā

وَمَا

And not

wamā

كُنَّا

We

kunnā

مُعَذِّبِينَ

are to punish

muʿadhibīna

حَتَّىٰ

until

ḥattā

نَبْعَثَ

We have sent

nabʿatha

رَسُولًۭا

a Messenger

rasūlan

١٥

Quien siga la guía será en beneficio propio, pero quien se desvíe solo se perjudicará a sí mismo. Nadie cargará con pecados ajenos. No he castigado a ningún pueblo sin antes haberle enviado un Mensajero.

وَإِذَآ

And when

أَرَدْنَآ

We intend

نُّهْلِكَ

We destroy

nuh'lika

قَرْيَةً

a town

qaryatan

أَمَرْنَا

We order

مُتْرَفِيهَا

its wealthy people

mut'rafīhā

فَفَسَقُوا۟

but they defiantly disobey

fafasaqū

فِيهَا

therein

fīhā

فَحَقَّ

so (is) proved true

faḥaqqa

عَلَيْهَا

against it

ʿalayhā

ٱلْقَوْلُ

the word

l-qawlu

فَدَمَّرْنَـٰهَا

and We destroy it

fadammarnāhā

تَدْمِيرًۭا

(with) destruction

tadmīran

١٦

Cuando quiero destruir una ciudad permito que sus dirigentes siembren la corrupción, entonces la sentencia contra ella se cumple y la destruyo totalmente.

And how many

أَهْلَكْنَا

We destroyed

ٱلْقُرُونِ

the generations

Nuh

nūḥin

وَكَفَىٰ

And sufficient

wakafā

بِرَبِّكَ

(is) your Lord

birabbika

بِذُنُوبِ

concerning the sins

bidhunūbi

عِبَادِهِۦ

(of) His servants

ʿibādihi

خَبِيرًۢا

All-Aware

khabīran

بَصِيرًۭا

All-Seer

baṣīran

١٧

Así es como he destruido a muchas generaciones después de Noé. ¡Es suficiente con que Dios vea y sepa de los pecados que cometen Sus siervos!

لِمَن

to whom

نُّرِيدُ

We intend

ثُمَّ

Then

جَعَلْنَا

We have made

jaʿalnā

لَهُۥ

for him

lahu

جَهَنَّمَ

Hell

jahannama

يَصْلَىٰهَا

he will burn

yaṣlāhā

مَذْمُومًۭا

disgraced

madhmūman

مَّدْحُورًۭا

rejected

madḥūran

١٨

Quienes prefieran los placeres transitorios de la vida mundanal sepan que se los concederé a quien Yo quiera, pero les destinaré el Infierno, donde ingresarán humillados y condenados [por haberse olvidado de obrar para la otra vida].

And whoever

ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةَ

the Hereafter

وَسَعَىٰ

and exerts

wasaʿā

لَهَا

for it

the effort

saʿyahā

وَهُوَ

while he

wahuwa

مُؤْمِنٌۭ

(is) a believer

mu'minun

فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ

then those

fa-ulāika

كَانَ

[are]

kāna

سَعْيُهُم

their effort

saʿyuhum

مَّشْكُورًۭا

(is) appreciated

mashkūran

١٩

Mientras que a quienes anhelen la vida del más allá, sean creyentes y se esfuercen por alcanzarla, se les retribuirá por su esfuerzo.

مَحْظُورًا

restricted

٢٠

A todos [en esta vida] se les concederá de los favores de tu Señor, a los unos y a los otros. Sus favores no le son vedados a nadie.

And surely the Hereafter

أَكْبَرُ

(is) greater

دَرَجَـٰتٍۢ

Observa cómo he agraciado a unos sobre otros [con bienes materiales en este mundo], pero en la otra vida la distinción será mayor [entre los que creen y los que no creen].

No adoréis a otros junto a Dios, porque seréis condenados y humillados.

And has decreed

رَبُّكَ

your Lord

أَلَّا

تَعْبُدُوٓا۟

worship

إِلَّآ

Him Alone

iyyāhu

وَبِٱلْوَٰلِدَيْنِ

and to the parents

wabil-wālidayni

إِحْسَـٰنًا ۚ

(be) good

iḥ'sānan

إِمَّا

Whether

immā

يَبْلُغَنَّ

reach

yablughanna

عِندَكَ

with you

ʿindaka

ٱلْكِبَرَ

the old age

l-kibara

أَحَدُهُمَآ

one of them

aḥaduhumā

أَوْ

or

aw

كِلَاهُمَا

both of them

kilāhumā

فَلَا

then (do) not

falā

تَقُل

say

taqul

لَّهُمَآ

to both of them

lahumā

أُفٍّۢ

a word of disrespect

uffin

وَلَا

and (do) not

walā

تَنْهَرْهُمَا

repel them

tanharhumā

وَقُل

but speak

waqul

لَّهُمَا

to them

lahumā

قَوْلًۭا

a word

qawlan

كَرِيمًۭا

noble

karīman

٢٣

Tu Señor ha ordenado que no adoréis sino a Él y que honréis a vuestros padres. Si uno de ellos o ambos llegan a la vejez, no seáis insolentes con ellos, ni siquiera les digáis: “¡Uf!” Habladles siempre con bondad.

And lower

wa-ikh'fiḍ

لَهُمَا

ٱلذُّلِّ

ٱلرَّحْمَةِ

[the] mercy

l-raḥmati

وَقُل

and say

رَّبِّ

My Lord

rabbi

ٱرْحَمْهُمَا

Have mercy on both of them

ir'ḥamhumā

كَمَا

as

kamā

رَبَّيَانِى

they brought me up

rabbayānī

صَغِيرًۭا

(when I was) small

ṣaghīran

٢٤

Tratadlos con humildad y compasión, y rogad [por ellos diciendo]: “¡Señor mío! Ten misericordia de ellos como ellos la tuvieron conmigo cuando me criaron siendo niño”.

Your Lord

أَعْلَمُ

(is) most knowing

aʿlamu

بِمَا

فِى

(is) in

نُفُوسِكُمْ ۚ

yourselves

تَكُونُوا۟

you are

takūnū

صَـٰلِحِينَ

righteous

ṣāliḥīna

فَإِنَّهُۥ

then indeed, He

fa-innahu

كَانَ

is

kāna

لِلْأَوَّٰبِينَ

to those who often turn (to Him)

lil'awwābīna

غَفُورًۭا

Most Forgiving

ghafūran

٢٥

Vuestro Señor es Quien mejor conoce lo que hay en vuestros corazones. Si sois piadosos, sabed que Él perdona a los que se arrepienten.

And give

the relatives

dhā

ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ

the relatives

حَقَّهُۥ

his right

ḥaqqahu

وَٱلْمِسْكِينَ

وَٱبْنَ

and the wayfarer

wa-ib'na

ٱلسَّبِيلِ

and the wayfarer

l-sabīli

وَلَا

and (do) not

walā

تُبَذِّرْ

spend

tubadhir

تَبْذِيرًا

wastefully

tabdhīran

٢٦

Da a los parientes lo que es su derecho, también al pobre y al viajero insolvente, pero no derroches,

ٱلْمُبَذِّرِينَ

the spendthrifts

كَانُوٓا۟

إِخْوَٰنَ

brothers

(of) the devils

l-shayāṭīni

وَكَانَ

And is

wakāna

ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ

the Shaitaan

l-shayṭānu

لِرَبِّهِۦ

to his Lord

lirabbihi

كَفُورًۭا

ungrateful

kafūran

٢٧

porque los que derrochan son hermanos de los demonios, y el demonio ha sido ingrato con su Señor.

And if

تُعْرِضَنَّ

you turn away

عَنْهُمُ

from them

ٱبْتِغَآءَ

مِّن

from

min

رَّبِّكَ

your Lord

rabbika

تَرْجُوهَا

which you expect

tarjūhā

فَقُل

then say

faqul

لَّهُمْ

to them

lahum

قَوْلًۭا

a word

qawlan

مَّيْسُورًۭا

gentle

maysūran

٢٨

Pero si no puedes darles una ayuda, y esperas una misericordia de tu Señor, excúsate con amabilidad.

كُلَّ

(to its) utmost

ٱلْبَسْطِ

reach

l-basṭi

فَتَقْعُدَ

so that you sit

fataqʿuda

مَلُومًۭا

blameworthy

malūman

مَّحْسُورًا

insolvent

maḥsūran

٢٩

No seas avaro ni tampoco derrochador, porque te verás censurado [en el primer caso] y arruinado [en el segundo].

بِعِبَادِهِۦ

of His slaves

خَبِيرًۢا

All-Aware

khabīran

بَصِيرًۭا

All-Seer

baṣīran

٣٠

Tu Señor concede un sustento abundante a quien quiere, y se lo restringe a quien quiere. Él a Sus siervos los conoce bien, y los ve siempre.

تَقْتُلُوٓا۟

kill

أَوْلَـٰدَكُمْ

your children

awlādakum

خَشْيَةَ

(for) fear

إِمْلَـٰقٍۢ ۖ

(of) poverty

im'lāqin

نَّحْنُ

We

naḥnu

نَرْزُقُهُمْ

(We) provide for them

narzuquhum

وَإِيَّاكُمْ ۚ

and for you

wa-iyyākum

إِنَّ

Indeed

inna

قَتْلَهُمْ

their killing

qatlahum

كَانَ

is

kāna

خِطْـًۭٔا

a sin

khiṭ'an

كَبِيرًۭا

great

kabīran

٣١

No matéis a vuestros hijos por temor a la pobreza. Yo les sustento a ellos y a vosotros. Matarles es un pecado gravísimo.

And (do) not

تَقْرَبُوا۟

go near

taqrabū

ٱلزِّنَىٰٓ ۖ

adultery

إِنَّهُۥ

Indeed, it

an immorality

fāḥishatan

وَسَآءَ

and (an) evil

wasāa

سَبِيلًۭا

way

sabīlan

٣٢

No os acerquéis a lo que lleve a la fornicación, pues es una inmoralidad y un mal camino.

إِلَّا

بِٱلْحَقِّ ۗ

by right

bil-ḥaqi

وَمَن

And whoever

قُتِلَ

(is) killed

مَظْلُومًۭا

wrongfully

maẓlūman

فَقَدْ

verily

faqad

جَعَلْنَا

We have made

jaʿalnā

لِوَلِيِّهِۦ

for his heir

liwaliyyihi

سُلْطَـٰنًۭا

an authority

sul'ṭānan

فَلَا

but not

falā

يُسْرِف

he should exceed

yus'rif

فِّى

in

fī

ٱلْقَتْلِ ۖ

the killing

l-qatli

إِنَّهُۥ

Indeed, he

innahu

كَانَ

is

kāna

مَنصُورًۭا

helped

manṣūran

٣٣

No matéis pues Dios lo ha prohibido, salvo con motivo justo. A quien se le dé muerte injustamente le concedo a su familiar directo o apoderado el derecho, pero que éste no mate buscando venganza. Su derecho [a exigir justicia] está legalmente garantizado.

تَقْرَبُوا۟

come near

مَالَ

(the) wealth

māla

ٱلْيَتِيمِ

(of) the orphan

l-yatīmi

إِلَّا

بِٱلَّتِى

bi-allatī

هِىَ

[it] is

hiya

أَحْسَنُ

best

aḥsanu

حَتَّىٰ

until

ḥattā

يَبْلُغَ

he reaches

yablugha

أَشُدَّهُۥ ۚ

his maturity

ashuddahu

وَأَوْفُوا۟

And fulfil

wa-awfū

بِٱلْعَهْدِ ۖ

the covenant

bil-ʿahdi

إِنَّ

Indeed

inna

ٱلْعَهْدَ

the covenant

l-ʿahda

كَانَ

will be

kāna

مَسْـُٔولًۭا

questioned

masūlan

٣٤

No utilicéis los bienes del huérfano a menos que sea para beneficiarle, y entregádselos cuando alcance la madurez. Cumplid con vuestros compromisos porque se os interrogará por ellos.

وَأَوْفُوا۟

And give full

ٱلْكَيْلَ

[the] measure

إِذَا

وَزِنُوا۟

with the balance

bil-qis'ṭāsi

ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمِ ۚ

the straight

l-mus'taqīmi

ذَٰلِكَ

That

dhālika

خَيْرٌۭ

(is) good

khayrun

وَأَحْسَنُ

and best

wa-aḥsanu

تَأْوِيلًۭا

(in) result

tawīlan

٣٥

Medid y pesad con equidad. Esto es lo más conveniente y mejor para vosotros.

pursue

Indeed

ٱلسَّمْعَ

the hearing

وَٱلْبَصَرَ

and the sight

wal-baṣara

وَٱلْفُؤَادَ

and the heart

wal-fuāda

كُلُّ

all

kullu

أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ

those

ulāika

كَانَ

will be

kāna

عَنْهُ

[about it]

ʿanhu

مَسْـُٔولًۭا

questioned

masūlan

٣٦

No hagáis ni digáis nada si no tenéis conocimiento. Seréis interrogados acerca de [lo que hayáis hecho con] vuestro oído, vista y corazón.

تَمْشِ

walk

فِى

in

fī

ٱلْأَرْضِ

the earth

مَرَحًا ۖ

maraḥan

تَخْرِقَ

tear

takhriqa

ٱلْأَرْضَ

the earth

l-arḍa

وَلَن

and will never

walan

تَبْلُغَ

reach

tablugha

ٱلْجِبَالَ

the mountains

l-jibāla

طُولًۭا

(in) height

ṭūlan

٣٧

No caminéis por la Tierra con arrogancia, pues ella no se abrirá por vuestro andar, ni tampoco podréis igualar a las montañas en altura [para ser tan imponentes como ellas].

Todos estos comportamientos son perjudiciales para vosotros y detestables ante vuestro Señor.

ٱلْحِكْمَةِ ۗ

the wisdom

l-ḥik'mati

وَلَا

And (do) not

walā

تَجْعَلْ

make

tajʿal

مَعَ

maʿa

ٱللَّهِ

Allah

l-lahi

إِلَـٰهًا

god

ilāhan

ءَاخَرَ

other

ākhara

فَتُلْقَىٰ

lest you should be thrown

fatul'qā

فِى

in

fī

جَهَنَّمَ

Hell

jahannama

مَلُومًۭا

blameworthy

malūman

مَّدْحُورًا

abandoned

madḥūran

٣٩

Esto es parte de la sabiduría que tu Señor te ha revelado. No adoréis a nadie junto a Dios porque seréis arrojados en el Infierno, condenados y humillados.

أَفَأَصْفَىٰكُمْ

Then has your Lord chosen (for) you

afa-aṣfākum

رَبُّكُم

Then has your Lord chosen (for) you

بِٱلْبَنِينَ

and He has taken

wa-ittakhadha

مِنَ

from

mina

ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ

the Angels

l-malāikati

إِنَـٰثًا ۚ

daughters

ināthan

إِنَّكُمْ

Indeed, you

innakum

لَتَقُولُونَ

surely say

lataqūlūna

قَوْلًا

a word

qawlan

عَظِيمًۭا

grave

ʿaẓīman

٤٠

¿Acaso creéis que vuestro Señor ha preferido para vosotros los hijos varones y para Sí hijas, que son los ángeles? Lo que decís es muy grave.

وَلَقَدْ

And verily

walaqad

صَرَّفْنَا

We have explained

ṣarrafnā

فِى

fī

هَـٰذَا

this

hādhā

ٱلْقُرْءَانِ

the Quran

لِيَذَّكَّرُوا۟

that they may take heed

liyadhakkarū

وَمَا

but not

wamā

يَزِيدُهُمْ

it increases them

yazīduhum

إِلَّا

except

illā

نُفُورًۭا

(in) aversion

nufūran

En este Corán he expuesto todo tipo de argumentos para que reflexionéis, pero [a algunos] esto les hace extraviarse aún más.

إِلَىٰ

ٱلْعَرْشِ

(of) the Throne

l-ʿarshi

سَبِيلًۭا

a way

sabīlan

٤٢

Diles: “Si junto a Dios hubiera otros dioses, como dicen [los idólatras], éstos buscarían acercarse al Señor del Trono [para complacerle]”.

سُبْحَـٰنَهُۥ

Glorified is He

sub'ḥānahu

وَتَعَـٰلَىٰ

and Exalted is He

wataʿālā

عَمَّا

above what

ʿammā

يَقُولُونَ

(by) height

ʿuluwwan

كَبِيرًۭا

great

kabīran

٤٣

¡Glorificado sea! Él está por encima de lo que dicen.

يُسَبِّحُ

glorifies

yusabbiḥu

بِحَمْدِهِۦ

His Praise

biḥamdihi

وَلَـٰكِن

but

walākin

لَّا

not

lā

تَفْقَهُونَ

you understand

tafqahūna

تَسْبِيحَهُمْ ۗ

their glorification

tasbīḥahum

إِنَّهُۥ

Indeed, He

innahu

كَانَ

is

kāna

حَلِيمًا

Ever-Forbearing

ḥalīman

غَفُورًۭا

Oft-Forgiving

ghafūran

٤٤

Le glorifican los siete cielos, la Tierra y todo cuanto hay en ellos. No existe nada que no Le glorifique con alabanzas, aunque no podáis percibir sus glorificaciones. Él es Magnánimo, Perdonador.

قَرَأْتَ

ٱلْقُرْءَانَ

the Quran

جَعَلْنَا

We place

wabayna

ٱلَّذِينَ

those who

alladhīna

لَا

(do) not

يُؤْمِنُونَ

believe

yu'minūna

بِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ

in the Hereafter

bil-ākhirati

حِجَابًۭا

a barrier

ḥijāban

مَّسْتُورًۭا

hidden

mastūran

٤٥

Cuando recitas el Corán ponemos un velo imperceptible entre ti y quienes no creen en la otra vida.

And We have placed

عَلَىٰ

قُلُوبِهِمْ

their hearts

أَكِنَّةً

yafqahūhu

وَفِىٓ

and in

wafī

ءَاذَانِهِمْ

their ears

ādhānihim

وَقْرًۭا ۚ

deafness

waqran

وَإِذَا

And when

wa-idhā

ذَكَرْتَ

you mention

dhakarta

رَبَّكَ

your Lord

rabbaka

فِى

in

fī

ٱلْقُرْءَانِ

the Quran

l-qur'āni

وَحْدَهُۥ

Alone

waḥdahu

وَلَّوْا۟

they turn

wallaw

عَلَىٰٓ

on

ʿalā

أَدْبَـٰرِهِمْ

their backs

adbārihim

نُفُورًۭا

(in) aversion

nufūran

٤٦

[Como respuesta a su rechazo] he hecho sus corazones duros y sus oídos sordos para que no pudieran comprender [el Mensaje]. Cuando mencionas en el Corán que tu Señor es la única divinidad [con derecho a ser adorada], te dan la espalda, disgustados.

إِلَّا

مَّسْحُورًا

bewitched

masḥūran

٤٧

Yo bien sé cómo se burlan cuando te escuchan [recitar el Corán] o cuando hablan en secreto; y dicen los idólatras: “Están siguiendo a un hombre hechizado”.

Dicen: “¿Acaso cuando seamos huesos y polvo seremos resucitados y creados nuevamente?”

يُعِيدُنَا ۖ

will restore us

yuʿīdunā

قُلِ

Say

quli

ٱلَّذِى

He Who

alladhī

فَطَرَكُمْ

created you

faṭarakum

أَوَّلَ

(the) first

awwala

مَرَّةٍۢ ۚ

time

marratin

فَسَيُنْغِضُونَ

Then they will shake

fasayun'ghiḍūna

إِلَيْكَ

at you

ilayka

رُءُوسَهُمْ

their heads

ruūsahum

وَيَقُولُونَ

and they say

wayaqūlūna

مَتَىٰ

When (will)

matā

هُوَ ۖ

it (be)

huwa

قُلْ

Say

qul

عَسَىٰٓ

Perhaps

ʿasā

أَن

that

an

يَكُونَ

(it) will be

yakūna

قَرِيبًۭا

soon

qarīban

٥١

o cualquier otra materia que veneréis en vuestro pensamiento”. Dirán: “¿Quién nos resucitará?” Respóndeles: “Quien os creó por primera vez”. Pero negando con su cabeza te dirán: “¿Cuándo?” Diles: “Es posible que sea pronto”.

(On) the Day

yawma

يَدْعُوكُمْ

He will call you

yadʿūkum

فَتَسْتَجِيبُونَ

and you will respond

fatastajībūna

بِحَمْدِهِۦ

with His Praise

biḥamdihi

وَتَظُنُّونَ

and you will think

wataẓunnūna

إِن

not

in

لَّبِثْتُمْ

you had remained

labith'tum

إِلَّا

except

illā

قَلِيلًۭا

a little (while)

qalīlan

٥٢

El día que os convoque responderéis alabándole y os parecerá que no habéis permanecido [en las tumbas] sino poco tiempo.

And say

waqul

لِّعِبَادِى

to My slaves

liʿibādī

يَقُولُوا۟

(to) say

yaqūlū

ٱلَّتِى

that

allatī

هِىَ

which

hiya

أَحْسَنُ ۚ

(is) best

aḥsanu

إِنَّ

Indeed

inna

ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنَ

the Shaitaan

l-shayṭāna

يَنزَغُ

sows discord

yanzaghu

بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ

between them

baynahum

إِنَّ

Indeed

inna

ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنَ

the Shaitaan

l-shayṭāna

كَانَ

is

kāna

لِلْإِنسَـٰنِ

to the man

lil'insāni

عَدُوًّۭا

an enemy

ʿaduwwan

مُّبِينًۭا

clear

mubīnan

٥٣

Exhorta a Mis siervos a hablar con respeto, porque el demonio quiere sembrar la discordia entre ellos. El demonio es el enemigo declarado del ser humano.

رَّبُّكُمْ

Your Lord

rabbukum

أَعْلَمُ

(is) most knowing

aʿlamu

بِكُمْ ۖ

of you

bikum

إِن

If

in

يَشَأْ

He wills

yasha

يَرْحَمْكُمْ

He will have mercy on you

yarḥamkum

أَوْ

or

aw

إِن

if

in

يَشَأْ

He wills

yasha

يُعَذِّبْكُمْ ۚ

He will punish you

yuʿadhib'kum

وَمَآ

And not

wamā

أَرْسَلْنَـٰكَ

We have sent you

arsalnāka

عَلَيْهِمْ

over them

ʿalayhim

وَكِيلًۭا

(as) a guardian

wakīlan

٥٤

Vuestro Señor conoce lo que hay en vuestros corazones. Si quiere tendrá misericordia con vosotros, o si quiere os castigará [con justicia]. Pero tú [¡Oh, Muhámmad!] no eres responsable de lo que ellos hagan.

وَرَبُّكَ

And your Lord

warabbuka

أَعْلَمُ

(is) most knowing

aʿlamu

بِمَن

of whoever

biman

فِى

(is) in

fī

ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ

the heavens

l-samāwāti

وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۗ

and the earth

wal-arḍi

وَلَقَدْ

And verily

walaqad

فَضَّلْنَا

We have preferred

faḍḍalnā

بَعْضَ

some

baʿḍa

ٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ

(of) the Prophets

l-nabiyīna

عَلَىٰ

to

ʿalā

بَعْضٍۢ ۖ

others

baʿḍin

وَءَاتَيْنَا

And We gave

waātaynā

دَاوُۥدَ

Dawood

dāwūda

زَبُورًۭا

Zaboor

zabūran

٥٥

Tu Señor conoce bien a quienes están en los cielos y en la Tierra. He favorecido a los Profetas unos sobre otros: a David le revelé los Salmos.

you claimed

مِّن

besides Him

فَلَا

[then] not

يَمْلِكُونَ

they have power

yamlikūna

كَشْفَ

(to) remove

kashfa

ٱلضُّرِّ

the misfortunes

l-ḍuri

عَنكُمْ

from you

ʿankum

وَلَا

and not

walā

تَحْوِيلًا

(to) transfer (it)

taḥwīlan

٥٦

Diles: “Aquellos que invocáis en lugar de Dios no pueden salvaros de ningún mal, ni siquiera evitarlo”.

أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ

Those

ulāika

ٱلَّذِينَ

whom

alladhīna

يَدْعُونَ

they call

yadʿūna

يَبْتَغُونَ

seek

yabtaghūna

إِلَىٰ

to

ilā

رَبِّهِمُ

their Lord

rabbihimu

ٱلْوَسِيلَةَ

the means of access

l-wasīlata

أَيُّهُمْ

which of them

ayyuhum

أَقْرَبُ

(is) nearest

aqrabu

وَيَرْجُونَ

and they hope

wayarjūna

رَحْمَتَهُۥ

(for) His mercy

raḥmatahu

وَيَخَافُونَ

and fear

wayakhāfūna

عَذَابَهُۥٓ ۚ

His punishment

ʿadhābahu

إِنَّ

Indeed

inna

عَذَابَ

(the) punishment

ʿadhāba

رَبِّكَ

(of) your Lord

rabbika

كَانَ

is

kāna

مَحْذُورًۭا

(ever) feared

maḥdhūran

٥٧

[Aquellos] a los que invocáis buscan el medio de acercarse más a su Señor, anhelan Su misericordia y temen Su castigo. ¡Porque el castigo de tu Señor es temible!

And not

مِّن

(is) any

قَرْيَةٍ

town

qaryatin

إِلَّا

but

نَحْنُ

We

naḥnu

مُهْلِكُوهَا

(will) destroy it

قَبْلَ

before

qabla

يَوْمِ

(the) Day

yawmi

ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ

(of) the Resurrection

l-qiyāmati

أَوْ

or

aw

مُعَذِّبُوهَا

punish it

muʿadhibūhā

عَذَابًۭا

with a punishment

ʿadhāban

شَدِيدًۭا ۚ

severe

shadīdan

كَانَ

That is

kāna

ذَٰلِكَ

That is

dhālika

فِى

in

fī

ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ

the Book

l-kitābi

مَسْطُورًۭا

written

masṭūran

٥٨

No hay ninguna ciudad [de incrédulos] que no vaya a destruir o castigar antes del Día de la Resurrección. Esto es lo que ha sido decretado y registrado en el Libro [preservado].

And not

wamā

مَنَعَنَآ

stopped Us

manaʿanā

أَن

that

an

نُّرْسِلَ

We send

nur'sila

بِٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِ

the Signs

bil-āyāti

إِلَّآ

except

illā

أَن

that

an

كَذَّبَ

denied

kadhaba

بِهَا

them

bihā

ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ ۚ

the former (people)

l-awalūna

وَءَاتَيْنَا

And We gave

waātaynā

ثَمُودَ

Thamud

thamūda

ٱلنَّاقَةَ

the she-camel

l-nāqata

مُبْصِرَةًۭ

(as) a visible sign

mub'ṣiratan

فَظَلَمُوا۟

but they wronged

faẓalamū

بِهَا ۚ

her

bihā

وَمَا

And not

wamā

نُرْسِلُ

We send

nur'silu

بِٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِ

the Signs

bil-āyāti

إِلَّا

except

illā

تَخْوِيفًۭا

(as) a warning

takhwīfan

٥٩

No les envié los milagros que pedían porque los desmentirían como lo hicieron los pueblos del pasado. Al pueblo de Zamud le envié la camella como un milagro evidente, pero cometieron la injusticia [de matarla]. Entonces les envié signos para atemorizarlos.

And when

wa-idh

قُلْنَا

We said

qul'nā

لَكَ

to you

laka

إِنَّ

Indeed

inna

رَبَّكَ

your Lord

rabbaka

أَحَاطَ

has encompassed

aḥāṭa

بِٱلنَّاسِ ۚ

the mankind

bil-nāsi

وَمَا

And not

wamā

جَعَلْنَا

We made

jaʿalnā

ٱلرُّءْيَا

the vision

l-ru'yā

ٱلَّتِىٓ

which

allatī

أَرَيْنَـٰكَ

We showed you

araynāka

إِلَّا

except

illā

فِتْنَةًۭ

(as) a trial

fit'natan

لِّلنَّاسِ

for mankind

lilnnāsi

وَٱلشَّجَرَةَ

and the tree

wal-shajarata

ٱلْمَلْعُونَةَ

the accursed

l-malʿūnata

فِى

in

fī

ٱلْقُرْءَانِ ۚ

the Quran

l-qur'āni

وَنُخَوِّفُهُمْ

And We threaten them

wanukhawwifuhum

فَمَا

but not

famā

يَزِيدُهُمْ

it increases them

yazīduhum

إِلَّا

except

illā

طُغْيَـٰنًۭا

(in) transgression

ṭugh'yānan

كَبِيرًۭا

great

kabīran

٦٠

Cuando te dije [¡Oh, Muhámmad!]: “Tu Señor tiene poder total sobre las personas [y Él te protegerá]”. Lo que te mostré y el árbol maldito mencionado en el Corán, no es sino para probar la fe de las personas. Les atemorizo [con Mis signos], pero esto les incrementa aún más la desobediencia.

وَإِذْ

And when

wa-idh

قُلْنَا

We said

qul'nā

لِلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ

to the Angels

lil'malāikati

ٱسْجُدُوا۟

Prostrate

us'judū

لِـَٔادَمَ

to Adam

liādama

فَسَجَدُوٓا۟

So they prostrated

fasajadū

إِلَّآ

except

illā

إِبْلِيسَ

Iblis

ib'līsa

قَالَ

He said

qāla

ءَأَسْجُدُ

Shall I prostrate

a-asjudu

لِمَنْ

to (one) whom

liman

خَلَقْتَ

You created

khalaqta

طِينًۭا

(from) clay

ṭīnan

٦١

[Recuerda] cuando dije a los ángeles: “Haced una reverencia ante Adán”.

He said

أَرَءَيْتَكَ

Do You see

ara-aytaka

هَـٰذَا

this

hādhā

ٱلَّذِى

whom

alladhī

كَرَّمْتَ

You have honored

karramta

عَلَىَّ

above me

ʿalayya

لَئِنْ

If

la-in

أَخَّرْتَنِ

You give me respite

akhartani

إِلَىٰ

till

ilā

يَوْمِ

(the) Day

yawmi

ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ

(of) the Resurrection

l-qiyāmati

لَأَحْتَنِكَنَّ

I will surely destroy

la-aḥtanikanna

ذُرِّيَّتَهُۥٓ

his offspring

dhurriyyatahu

إِلَّا

except

illā

قَلِيلًۭا

a few

qalīlan

٦٢

Dijo también: “¿Por qué le has honrado más que a mí?” Si me das tiempo hasta el Día de la Resurrección, desviaré a la mayoría de sus descendientes.

He said

ٱذْهَبْ

Go

idh'hab

فَمَن

and whoever

faman

تَبِعَكَ

follows you

tabiʿaka

مِنْهُمْ

among them

min'hum

فَإِنَّ

then indeed

fa-inna

جَهَنَّمَ

Hell

jahannama

جَزَآؤُكُمْ

(is) your recompense

jazāukum

جَزَآءًۭ

a recompense

jazāan

مَّوْفُورًۭا

ample

mawfūran

٦٣

Dijo [Dios]: “¡Vete! Y quienes de ellos te sigan merecerán el Infierno, pues es el castigo que les tengo reservado.

وَٱسْتَفْزِزْ

And incite

wa-is'tafziz

مَنِ

whoever

mani

ٱسْتَطَعْتَ

you can

is'taṭaʿta

مِنْهُم

among them

min'hum

بِصَوْتِكَ

with your voice

biṣawtika

وَأَجْلِبْ

and assault

wa-ajlib

عَلَيْهِم

[on] them

ʿalayhim

بِخَيْلِكَ

with your cavalry

bikhaylika

وَرَجِلِكَ

and infantry

warajilika

وَشَارِكْهُمْ

and be a partner

washārik'hum

فِى

in

fī

ٱلْأَمْوَٰلِ

the wealth

l-amwāli

وَٱلْأَوْلَـٰدِ

and the children

wal-awlādi

وَعِدْهُمْ ۚ

and promise them

waʿid'hum

وَمَا

And not

wamā

يَعِدُهُمُ

promises them

yaʿiduhumu

ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ

the Shaitaan

l-shayṭānu

إِلَّا

except

illā

غُرُورًا

delusion

ghurūran

٦٤

Seduce con tus palabras a quien puedas de ellos, arremete con tu caballería y con tu infantería. Hazte su socio inseparable en sus bienes e hijos y hazles las promesas que quieras. Pero sabed que el demonio solo hace promesas falsas”.

Indeed

inna

عِبَادِى

My slaves

ʿibādī

لَيْسَ

not

laysa

لَكَ

for you

laka

عَلَيْهِمْ

over them

ʿalayhim

سُلْطَـٰنٌۭ ۚ

any authority

sul'ṭānun

وَكَفَىٰ

And sufficient

wakafā

بِرَبِّكَ

(is) your Lord

birabbika

وَكِيلًۭا

(as) a Guardian

wakīlan

٦٥

[Dijo Dios:] “Pero no tienes poder alguno sobre Mis siervos creyentes”. Es suficiente con tu Señor como protector [para quienes se encomiendan a Él].

رَّبُّكُمُ

Your Lord

rabbukumu

ٱلَّذِى

(is) the One Who

alladhī

يُزْجِى

drives

yuz'jī

لَكُمُ

for you

lakumu

ٱلْفُلْكَ

the ship

l-ful'ka

فِى

in

fī

ٱلْبَحْرِ

the sea

l-baḥri

لِتَبْتَغُوا۟

that you may seek

litabtaghū

مِن

of

min

فَضْلِهِۦٓ ۚ

His Bounty

faḍlihi

إِنَّهُۥ

Indeed, He

innahu

كَانَ

is

kāna

بِكُمْ

to you

bikum

رَحِيمًۭا

Ever Merciful

raḥīman

٦٦

Vuestro Señor es Quien impulsa los barcos en el mar para que con ellos podáis procurar Su favor. Él es Misericordioso con vosotros.

وَإِذَا

And when

wa-idhā

مَسَّكُمُ

touches you

massakumu

ٱلضُّرُّ

the hardship

l-ḍuru

فِى

in

fī

ٱلْبَحْرِ

the sea

l-baḥri

ضَلَّ

lost

ḍalla

مَن

(are) who

man

تَدْعُونَ

you call

tadʿūna

إِلَّآ

except

illā

إِيَّاهُ ۖ

Him Alone

iyyāhu

فَلَمَّا

But when

falammā

نَجَّىٰكُمْ

He delivers you

najjākum

إِلَى

to

ilā

ٱلْبَرِّ

the land

l-bari

أَعْرَضْتُمْ ۚ

you turn away

aʿraḍtum

وَكَانَ

And is

wakāna

ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ

man

l-insānu

كَفُورًا

ungrateful

kafūran

٦٧

Cuando os alcanza una desgracia en el mar os dais cuenta de que cuanto invocabais fuera de Dios no puede salvaros y que solo Dios es Quien puede hacerlo. Pero cuando os salva llevándoos a tierra firme, Le niegan nuevamente. ¡El ser humano es ingrato!

أَفَأَمِنتُمْ

Do you then feel secure

afa-amintum

أَن

that (not)

an

يَخْسِفَ

He will cause to swallow

yakhsifa

بِكُمْ

you

bikum

جَانِبَ

side

jāniba

ٱلْبَرِّ

(of) the land

l-bari

أَوْ

or

aw

يُرْسِلَ

send

yur'sila

عَلَيْكُمْ

against you

ʿalaykum

حَاصِبًۭا

a storm of stones

ḥāṣiban

ثُمَّ

Then

thumma

لَا

not

lā

تَجِدُوا۟

you will find

tajidū

لَكُمْ

for you

lakum

وَكِيلًا

a guardian

wakīlan

٦٨

¿Acaso os sentís a salvo de que Dios os haga tragar por la tierra o que os envíe un huracán? Si así lo hiciera, no encontraríais quién os pudiera proteger.

أَمْ

Or

am

أَمِنتُمْ

do you feel secure

amintum

أَن

that (not)

an

يُعِيدَكُمْ

He will send you back

yuʿīdakum

فِيهِ

into it

fīhi

تَارَةً

another time

tāratan

أُخْرَىٰ

another time

ukh'rā

فَيُرْسِلَ

and send

fayur'sila

عَلَيْكُمْ

upon you

ʿalaykum

قَاصِفًۭا

a hurricane

qāṣifan

مِّنَ

of

mina

ٱلرِّيحِ

the wind

l-rīḥi

فَيُغْرِقَكُم

and drown you

fayugh'riqakum

بِمَا

because

bimā

كَفَرْتُمْ ۙ

you disbelieved

kafartum

ثُمَّ

Then

thumma

لَا

not

lā

تَجِدُوا۟

you will find

tajidū

لَكُمْ

for you

lakum

عَلَيْنَا

against Us

ʿalaynā

بِهِۦ

therein

bihi

تَبِيعًۭا

an avenger

tabīʿan

٦٩

¿U os sentís seguros de que cuando os encontréis en el mar otra vez, Él no os envíe una tormenta y os ahogue como castigo a vuestra ingratitud? Si así lo hiciera, no tendríais quién Le reclamara por vosotros.

۞ وَلَقَدْ

And certainly

walaqad

كَرَّمْنَا

We have honored

karramnā

بَنِىٓ

(the) children of Adam

banī

ءَادَمَ

(the) children of Adam

ādama

وَحَمَلْنَـٰهُمْ

and We carried them

waḥamalnāhum

فِى

on

fī

ٱلْبَرِّ

the land

l-bari

وَٱلْبَحْرِ

and the sea

wal-baḥri

وَرَزَقْنَـٰهُم

and We have provided them

warazaqnāhum

مِّنَ

of

mina

ٱلطَّيِّبَـٰتِ

the good things

l-ṭayibāti

وَفَضَّلْنَـٰهُمْ

and We preferred them

wafaḍḍalnāhum

عَلَىٰ

over

ʿalā

كَثِيرٍۢ

many

kathīrin

مِّمَّنْ

of those whom

mimman

خَلَقْنَا

We have created

khalaqnā

تَفْضِيلًۭا

(with) preference

tafḍīlan

٧٠

He honrado a los hijos de Adán y les he facilitado los medios para viajar por la tierra y por el mar, les he provisto de todo lo bueno y les he favorecido sobre muchas otras criaturas.

يَوْمَ

(The) Day

yawma

نَدْعُوا۟

We will call

nadʿū

كُلَّ

all

kulla

أُنَاسٍۭ

human beings

unāsin

بِإِمَـٰمِهِمْ ۖ

with their record

bi-imāmihim

فَمَنْ

then whoever

faman

أُوتِىَ

is given

ūtiya

كِتَـٰبَهُۥ

his record

kitābahu

بِيَمِينِهِۦ

in his right hand

biyamīnihi

فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ

then those

fa-ulāika

يَقْرَءُونَ

will read

yaqraūna

كِتَـٰبَهُمْ

their records

kitābahum

وَلَا

and not

walā

يُظْلَمُونَ

they will be wronged

yuẓ'lamūna

فَتِيلًۭا

(even as much as) a hair on a date seed

fatīlan

٧١

El día que convoque a todos los seres humanos junto a sus guías y les entregue sus registros, a quien le sea entregado el libro de sus obras en la derecha, [se alegrará] leyendo su libro porque verá que no ha sido defraudado en lo más mínimo.

وَمَن

And whoever

waman

كَانَ

is

kāna

فِى

in

fī

هَـٰذِهِۦٓ

this (world)

hādhihi

أَعْمَىٰ

blind

aʿmā

فَهُوَ

then he

fahuwa

فِى

in

fī

ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ

the Hereafter

l-ākhirati

أَعْمَىٰ

(will be) blind

aʿmā

وَأَضَلُّ

and more astray

wa-aḍallu

سَبِيلًۭا

(from the) path

sabīlan

٧٢

Pero quien haya estado en esta vida ciego [en la incredulidad], en la otra también lo estará y más perdido aún.

وَإِن

And indeed

wa-in

كَادُوا۟

they were about (to)

kādū

لَيَفْتِنُونَكَ

tempt you away

layaftinūnaka

عَنِ

from

ʿani

ٱلَّذِىٓ

that which

alladhī

أَوْحَيْنَآ

We revealed

awḥaynā

إِلَيْكَ

to you

ilayka

لِتَفْتَرِىَ

that you invent

litaftariya

عَلَيْنَا

about Us

ʿalaynā

غَيْرَهُۥ ۖ

other (than) it

ghayrahu

وَإِذًۭا

And then

wa-idhan

لَّٱتَّخَذُوكَ

surely they would take you

la-ittakhadhūka

خَلِيلًۭا

(as) a friend

khalīlan

٧٣

Los idólatras [¡Oh, Muhámmad!] querían persuadirte de que cedieras a favor de sus peticiones, contrariando las instrucciones que te había revelado. Si lo hubieras hecho, te habrían convertido en su aliado.

وَلَوْلَآ

And if not

walawlā

أَن

[that]

an

ثَبَّتْنَـٰكَ

We (had) strengthened you

thabbatnāka

لَقَدْ

certainly

laqad

كِدتَّ

you almost

kidtta

تَرْكَنُ

(would) have inclined

tarkanu

إِلَيْهِمْ

to them

ilayhim

شَيْـًۭٔا

(in) something

shayan

قَلِيلًا

a little

qalīlan

٧٤

Si no te hubiera fortalecido, te habrías inclinado a aceptar parte de sus peticiones.

Then

idhan

لَّأَذَقْنَـٰكَ

We (would) have made you taste

la-adhaqnāka

ضِعْفَ

double

ḍiʿ'fa

ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ

(in) the life

l-ḥayati

وَضِعْفَ

and double

waḍiʿ'fa

ٱلْمَمَاتِ

(after) the death

l-mamāti

ثُمَّ

Then

thumma

لَا

not

lā

تَجِدُ

you (would) have found

tajidu

لَكَ

for you

laka

عَلَيْنَا

against Us

ʿalaynā

نَصِيرًۭا

any helper

naṣīran

٧٥

Y si hubieras cedido en algo, te habría hecho sufrir un castigo doble en esta vida y en la otra. No hubieras encontrado quien te protegiera de Mí.

And indeed

they were about

لَيَسْتَفِزُّونَكَ

(to) scare you

مِنَ

mina

ٱلْأَرْضِ

the land

لِيُخْرِجُوكَ

that they evict you

liyukh'rijūka

مِنْهَا ۖ

from it

min'hā

وَإِذًۭا

But then

wa-idhan

لَّا

not

lā

يَلْبَثُونَ

they (would) have stayed

yalbathūna

خِلَـٰفَكَ

after you

khilāfaka

إِلَّا

except

illā

قَلِيلًۭا

a little

qalīlan

٧٦

Casi logran intimidarte para que abandones tu tierra [La Meca] pero, si lo hubiesen logrado, no habrían permanecido en ella sino poco tiempo [porque habría enviado sobre ellos el castigo].

لِسُنَّتِنَا

(in) Our way

any alteration

Lo mismo sucedió con los Mensajeros que envié antes de ti. No encontrarás cambio alguno en Mi proceder.

ٱلْفَجْرِ ۖ

indeed

قُرْءَانَ

the Quran

qur'āna

ٱلْفَجْرِ

(at) the dawn

l-fajri

كَانَ

is

kāna

مَشْهُودًۭا

ever witnessed

mashhūdan

Observa las oraciones prescritas desde pasado el mediodía hasta la oscuridad de la noche y también la oración del alba y prolonga la recitación en ella, pues ésta es atestiguada [por los ángeles de la noche y el día].

arise from sleep for prayer

عَسَىٰٓ

it may be

ʿasā

أَن

يَبْعَثَكَ

will raise you

yabʿathaka

رَبُّكَ

your Lord

مَقَامًۭا

(to) a station

maqāman

مَّحْمُودًۭا

praiseworthy

maḥmūdan

٧٩

También levántate parte de la noche a realizar oraciones voluntarias, para que tu Señor te conceda un rango digno de alabanza.

Cause me to enter

and cause me to exit

مُخْرَجَ

an exit

صِدْقٍۢ

وَٱجْعَل

and make

wa-ij'ʿal

لِّى

for me

مِن

from

min

لَّدُنكَ

near You

ladunka

سُلْطَـٰنًۭا

an authority

sul'ṭānan

نَّصِيرًۭا

helping

naṣīran

٨٠

Di: “¡Señor mío! Concédeme una entrada y una salida dignas [en todos los asuntos de mi vida], y concédeme los medios para lograr el triunfo”.

And say

Has come

ٱلْحَقُّ

the truth

وَزَهَقَ

and perished

ٱلْبَـٰطِلُ ۚ

Indeed

inna

ٱلْبَـٰطِلَ

the falsehood

l-bāṭila

كَانَ

is

kāna

زَهُوقًۭا

(bound) to perish

zahūqan

Y di: “Ha triunfado la Verdad y se ha disipado la falsedad; la falsedad siempre se desvanece”.

And We reveal

وَرَحْمَةٌۭ

and a mercy

waraḥmatun

لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ۙ

for the believers

lil'mu'minīna

وَلَا

but not

walā

يَزِيدُ

it increases

yazīdu

ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

the wrongdoers

l-ẓālimīna

إِلَّا

except

illā

خَسَارًۭا

(in) loss

khasāran

٨٢

He revelado el Corán, que es cura para los corazones y misericordia para los creyentes, pero al mismo tiempo no hace sino aumentar la perdición de los idólatras.

And when

wa-idhā

أَنْعَمْنَا

We bestow favor

عَلَى

ʿalā

ٱلْإِنسَـٰنِ

man

أَعْرَضَ

he turns away

وَنَـَٔا

and becomes remote

wanaā

بِجَانِبِهِۦ ۖ

on his side

bijānibihi

وَإِذَا

And when

wa-idhā

مَسَّهُ

touches him

massahu

ٱلشَّرُّ

the evil

l-sharu

كَانَ

he is

kāna

يَـُٔوسًۭا

(in) despair

yaūsan

٨٣

El incrédulo, cuando le agracio, no Me agradece por arrogancia; pero, cuando le aflige un mal, se desespera.

أَهْدَىٰ

(is) best guided

(in) way

Diles: “Que cada uno obre como le plazca, pero sabed que vuestro Señor conoce a quien está mejor encaminado”.

And they ask you

ٱلْعِلْمِ

the knowledge

l-ʿil'mi

إِلَّا

except

illā

قَلِيلًۭا

a little

qalīlan

Te preguntan acerca del espíritu. Diles: “El espíritu es una de las creaciones de Dios, de las que solo Él tiene conocimiento. No se os ha permitido acceder sino a una pequeña parte del inmenso conocimiento de Dios”.

We (would) have surely taken away

إِلَيْكَ

to you

ilayka

ثُمَّ

Then

تَجِدُ

you would find

لَكَ

for you

بِهِۦ

concerning it

عَلَيْنَا

against Us

ʿalaynā

وَكِيلًا

any advocate

wakīlan

Si quisiera, borraría todo lo que te he revelado, y entonces no encontrarías quién abogara por ti ante Mí [para que lo pudieras recordar].

ٱلْقُرْءَانِ

Quran

يَأْتُونَ

they (could) bring

yatūna

بِمِثْلِهِۦ

the like of it

bimith'lihi

وَلَوْ

even if

walaw

كَانَ

were

kāna

بَعْضُهُمْ

some of them

baʿḍuhum

لِبَعْضٍۢ

to some others

libaʿḍin

ظَهِيرًۭا

assistants

ẓahīran

٨٨

Diles: “Si los seres humanos y los yinn se unieran para redactar un texto similar al Corán, no podrían lograrlo, aunque se ayudaran mutuamente”.

And verily

We have explained

to mankind

مَثَلٍۢ

فَأَبَىٰٓ

but refused

أَكْثَرُ

ٱلنَّاسِ

(of) the mankind

l-nāsi

إِلَّا

except

كُفُورًۭا

disbelief

kufūran

He expuesto a los seres humanos en este Corán toda clase de ejemplos. Pero la mayoría de las personas no creen y rechazan la Verdad.

Dicen [los que se niegan a creer]: “No creeremos en ti hasta que no hagas fluir para nosotros manantiales de la tierra

ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرَ

the rivers

خِلَـٰلَهَا

within them

khilālahā

تَفْجِيرًا

abundantly

o poseas un huerto con palmeras y vides, y hagas brotar en él ríos,

قَبِيلًا

before (us)

qabīlan

o hagas descender sobre nosotros un castigo del cielo como advertiste, o nos traigas a Dios y a los ángeles para que los podamos ver,

كِتَـٰبًۭا

a book

نَّقْرَؤُهُۥ ۗ

we could read it

naqra-uhu

قُلْ

Say

سُبْحَانَ

Glorified (is)

sub'ḥāna

رَبِّى

my Lord

rabbī

هَلْ

What

hal

كُنتُ

am I

kuntu

إِلَّا

but

بَشَرًۭا

a human

basharan

رَّسُولًۭا

a Messenger

rasūlan

٩٣

o poseas una casa de oro o asciendas al cielo y aun así no creeremos en ti a menos que nos traigas del cielo un libro que podamos leer”. Diles: “¡Glorificado sea mi Señor! Pero, ¿no soy acaso solo un ser humano enviado como Mensajero?”

Has Allah sent

بَشَرًۭا

a human

Messenger

Lo que impidió que creyera la gente cuando se les presentaron los Mensajeros con la guía fue la misma retórica: [Decían] “¿No ha encontrado Dios nada mejor que enviar a un ser humano como Mensajero?”

the heaven

مَلَكًۭا

an Angel

malakan

رَّسُولًۭا

(as) a Messenger

rasūlan

٩٥

Diles: “Si los ángeles habitaran la Tierra, entonces les habría enviado del cielo un ángel como Mensajero”.

Sufficient is

إِنَّهُۥ

Indeed, He

All-Aware

بَصِيرًۭا

All-Seer

baṣīran

٩٦

Diles: “Dios es suficiente testigo de mi veracidad entre vosotros y yo. Él está bien informado sobre Sus siervos y les observa”.

And whoever

Allah guides

Allah guides

فَهُوَ

then he (is)

and whoever

waman

يُضْلِلْ

He lets go astray

yuḍ'lil

فَلَن

then never

falan

تَجِدَ

you will find

tajida

لَهُمْ

for them

lahum

أَوْلِيَآءَ

protectors

awliyāa

مِن

besides Him

min

دُونِهِۦ ۖ

besides Him

dūnihi

وَنَحْشُرُهُمْ

And We will gather them

wanaḥshuruhum

يَوْمَ

(on) the Day

yawma

ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ

(of) the Resurrection

l-qiyāmati

عَلَىٰ

on

ʿalā

وُجُوهِهِمْ

their faces

wujūhihim

عُمْيًۭا

blind

ʿum'yan

وَبُكْمًۭا

and dumb

wabuk'man

وَصُمًّۭا ۖ

and deaf

waṣumman

مَّأْوَىٰهُمْ

Their abode

mawāhum

جَهَنَّمُ ۖ

(is) Hell

jahannamu

كُلَّمَا

every time

kullamā

خَبَتْ

it subsides

khabat

زِدْنَـٰهُمْ

We (will) increase (for) them

zid'nāhum

سَعِيرًۭا

the blazing fire

saʿīran

٩٧

A quien Dios guíe estará bien encaminado, pero a quienes permita que se extravíen nadie les podrá socorrer salvo Él. Les congregaré de cabeza el Día de la Resurrección, ciegos, mudos y sordos. El Infierno será su morada; siempre que el fuego se atenúe avivaré su llama.

(is) their recompense

بِأَنَّهُمْ

because they

bi-annahum

كَفَرُوا۟

disbelieved

in Our Verses

biāyātinā

وَقَالُوٓا۟

and said

waqālū

أَءِذَا

When

a-idhā

كُنَّا

we are

kunnā

عِظَـٰمًۭا

bones

ʿiẓāman

وَرُفَـٰتًا

and crumbled particles

warufātan

أَءِنَّا

will we

a-innā

لَمَبْعُوثُونَ

surely (be) resurrected

lamabʿūthūna

خَلْقًۭا

(as) a creation

khalqan

جَدِيدًا

new

jadīdan

٩٨

Ése será su castigo por no haber creído en Mis milagros y haber dicho: “¿Acaso cuando seamos huesos y polvo seremos resucitados y creados nuevamente?”

Do not

(is) Able

عَلَىٰٓ

يَخْلُقَ

create

yakhluqa

مِثْلَهُمْ

the like of them

mith'lahum

وَجَعَلَ

And He has made

wajaʿala

لَهُمْ

for them

lahum

أَجَلًۭا

a term

ajalan

لَّا

no

lā

رَيْبَ

doubt

rayba

فِيهِ

in it

fīhi

فَأَبَى

But refused

fa-abā

ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ

the wrongdoers

l-ẓālimūna

إِلَّا

except

illā

كُفُورًۭا

disbelief

kufūran

٩٩

¿Acaso no ven que Dios, Quien ha creado los cielos y la Tierra, tiene el poder de crearles nuevamente? Les ha establecido un plazo determinado para su resurrección, pero los idólatras lo niegan con incredulidad.

surely you would withhold

خَشْيَةَ

(out of) fear

ٱلْإِنفَاقِ ۚ

(of) spending

l-infāqi

وَكَانَ

And is

wakāna

ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ

man

l-insānu

قَتُورًۭا

stingy

qatūran

Diles: “Si tuvierais en vuestras manos las arcas de mi Señor, no las compartiríais por temor a empobrecer. ¡Qué avaro es el ser humano!”

And certainly

We had given

مُوسَىٰ

Musa

تِسْعَ

ءَايَـٰتٍۭ

Signs

بَيِّنَـٰتٍۢ ۖ

clear

bayyinātin

فَسْـَٔلْ

so ask

fasal

بَنِىٓ

(the) Children of Israel

banī

إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ

(the) Children of Israel

is'rāīla

إِذْ

when

idh

جَآءَهُمْ

he came to them

jāahum

فَقَالَ

then said

faqāla

لَهُۥ

to him

lahu

فِرْعَوْنُ

Firaun

fir'ʿawnu

إِنِّى

Indeed, I

innī

لَأَظُنُّكَ

[I] think you

la-aẓunnuka

يَـٰمُوسَىٰ

O Musa

yāmūsā

مَسْحُورًۭا

(you are) bewitched

masḥūran

١٠١

Concedí a Moisés nueve milagros evidentes. Pregunta [¡Oh, Muhámmad!] al pueblo de Israel si no es verdad que cuando [Moisés] se presentó ante el Faraón, éste le dijo: “¡Oh, Moisés! Creo que estás afectado por un hechizo”.

وَٱلْأَرْضِ

and the earth

wal-arḍi

بَصَآئِرَ

(as) evidence

baṣāira

وَإِنِّى

and indeed, I

wa-innī

لَأَظُنُّكَ

[I] surely think you

la-aẓunnuka

يَـٰفِرْعَوْنُ

O Firaun

yāfir'ʿawnu

مَثْبُورًۭا

(you are) destroyed

mathbūran

١٠٢

Dijo [Moisés]: “Tú sabes bien que solo el Señor de los cielos y de la Tierra ha enviado estos milagros claros. ¡Oh, Faraón! Creo que estás perdido”.

فَأَرَادَ

So he intended

يَسْتَفِزَّهُم

drive them out

yastafizzahum

مِّنَ

from

mina

ٱلْأَرْضِ

the land

l-arḍi

فَأَغْرَقْنَـٰهُ

but We drowned him

fa-aghraqnāhu

وَمَن

and who

waman

مَّعَهُۥ

(were) with him

maʿahu

جَمِيعًۭا

all

jamīʿan

١٠٣

[El Faraón] quiso expulsarles de la tierra, pero le ahogué junto a su ejército.

وَقُلْنَا

And We said

waqul'nā

مِنۢ

after him

min

بَعْدِهِۦ

after him

baʿdihi

لِبَنِىٓ

to the Children of Israel

libanī

إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ

to the Children of Israel

is'rāīla

ٱسْكُنُوا۟

Dwell

us'kunū

ٱلْأَرْضَ

(in) the land

l-arḍa

فَإِذَا

then when

fa-idhā

جَآءَ

comes

jāa

وَعْدُ

(the) promise

waʿdu

ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ

(of) the Hereafter

l-ākhirati

جِئْنَا

We will bring

ji'nā

بِكُمْ

you

bikum

لَفِيفًۭا

(as) a mixed crowd

lafīfan

١٠٤

Luego dije al pueblo de Israel: “Habitad la tierra y sabed que, cuando llegue el Día del Juicio del que Dios os ha advertido, os haré comparecer a todos”.

وَبِٱلْحَقِّ

And with the truth

wabil-ḥaqi

أَنزَلْنَـٰهُ

We sent it down

anzalnāhu

وَبِٱلْحَقِّ

and with the truth

wabil-ḥaqi

نَزَلَ ۗ

it descended

nazala

وَمَآ

And not

wamā

أَرْسَلْنَـٰكَ

We sent you

arsalnāka

إِلَّا

except

illā

مُبَشِّرًۭا

(as) a bearer of glad tidings

mubashiran

وَنَذِيرًۭا

and a warner

wanadhīran

١٠٥

Lo he revelado [al Corán] con la verdad y lo he protegido para que así os llegue. No te he enviado [¡Oh, Muhámmad!] sino como albriciador y amonestador.

وَقُرْءَانًۭا

And the Quran

waqur'ānan

فَرَقْنَـٰهُ

We have divided

faraqnāhu

لِتَقْرَأَهُۥ

that you might recite it

litaqra-ahu

عَلَى

to

ʿalā

ٱلنَّاسِ

the people

l-nāsi

عَلَىٰ

at

ʿalā

مُكْثٍۢ

intervals

muk'thin

وَنَزَّلْنَـٰهُ

And We have revealed it

wanazzalnāhu

تَنزِيلًۭا

(in) stages

tanzīlan

١٠٦

Te he revelado el Corán en partes para que se lo recites gradualmente a la gente. Te lo he ido revelando poco a poco.

قُلْ

Say

qul

ءَامِنُوا۟

Believe

āminū

بِهِۦٓ

in it

bihi

أَوْ

or

aw

لَا

(do) not

lā

تُؤْمِنُوٓا۟ ۚ

believe

tu'minū

إِنَّ

Indeed

inna

ٱلَّذِينَ

those who

alladhīna

أُوتُوا۟

were given

ūtū

ٱلْعِلْمَ

the knowledge

l-ʿil'ma

مِن

before it

min

قَبْلِهِۦٓ

before it

qablihi

إِذَا

when

idhā

يُتْلَىٰ

it is recited

yut'lā

عَلَيْهِمْ

to them

ʿalayhim

يَخِرُّونَ

they fall

yakhirrūna

لِلْأَذْقَانِ

on their faces

lil'adhqāni

سُجَّدًۭا

(in) prostration

sujjadan

١٠٧

Diles: “Creed o no creáis en él [es vuestra responsabilidad]”. Quienes fueron agraciados con el conocimiento de las revelaciones anteriores, cuando escuchan la recitación del Corán se prosternan ante Dios.

وَيَقُولُونَ

And they say

wayaqūlūna

سُبْحَـٰنَ

Glory be to

sub'ḥāna

رَبِّنَآ

our Lord

rabbinā

إِن

Indeed

in

كَانَ

is

kāna

وَعْدُ

(the) promise

waʿdu

رَبِّنَا

(of) our Lord

rabbinā

لَمَفْعُولًۭا

surely fulfilled

lamafʿūlan

١٠٨

Y dicen: “¡Glorificado sea nuestro Señor! La promesa de nuestro Señor se ha cumplido”.

وَيَخِرُّونَ

And they fall

wayakhirrūna

لِلْأَذْقَانِ

on their faces

lil'adhqāni

يَبْكُونَ

weeping

yabkūna

وَيَزِيدُهُمْ

and it increases them

wayazīduhum

خُشُوعًۭا ۩

(in) humility

khushūʿan

١٠٩

Se prosternan ante Dios con los ojos llenos de lágrimas, y [el Corán] les aumenta su humildad y sumisión.

Say

ٱدْعُوا۟

Invoke

id'ʿū

ٱللَّهَ

Allah

l-laha

أَوِ

ٱدْعُوا۟

ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنَ ۖ

the Most Gracious

l-raḥmāna

أَيًّۭا

By whatever (name)

ayyan

مَّا

By whatever (name)

mā

تَدْعُوا۟

you invoke

tadʿū

فَلَهُ

to Him (belongs)

falahu

ٱلْأَسْمَآءُ

the Most Beautiful Names

l-asmāu

ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ ۚ

the Most Beautiful Names

l-ḥus'nā

وَلَا

And (do) not

walā

تَجْهَرْ

be loud

tajhar

بِصَلَاتِكَ

in your prayers

biṣalātika

وَلَا

and not

walā

تُخَافِتْ

be silent

tukhāfit

بِهَا

therein

bihā

وَٱبْتَغِ

but seek

wa-ib'taghi

بَيْنَ

between

bayna

ذَٰلِكَ

that

dhālika

سَبِيلًۭا

a way

sabīlan

١١٠

Diles: “Ya sea que Le invoquéis diciendo: ¡Oh, Dios!, ¡Oh, Compasivo! o cualquier otro nombre con el que Le invoquéis, Él os oirá. sabed que Él posee los nombres [y atributos] más sublimes. Cuando realicéis una oración, moderad vuestra voz en la recitación, no la hagáis con voz muy alta ni tampoco en silencio”.

وَقُلِ

And say

waquli

ٱلْحَمْدُ

All Praise

l-ḥamdu

لِلَّهِ

(is) for Allah

lillahi

ٱلَّذِى

the One Who

alladhī

لَمْ

has not taken

lam

يَتَّخِذْ

has not taken

yattakhidh

وَلَدًۭا

a son

waladan

وَلَمْ

and not

walam

يَكُن

is

yakun

لَّهُۥ

for Him

lahu

شَرِيكٌۭ

a partner

sharīkun

فِى

in

fī

ٱلْمُلْكِ

the dominion

l-mul'ki

وَلَمْ

and not

walam

يَكُن

is

yakun

لَّهُۥ

for Him

lahu

وَلِىٌّۭ

any protector

waliyyun

مِّنَ

out of

mina

ٱلذُّلِّ ۖ

weakness

l-dhuli

وَكَبِّرْهُ

And magnify Him

wakabbir'hu

تَكْبِيرًۢا

(with all) magnificence

takbīran

١١١

Di: “¡Alabado sea Dios! Él no tiene ningún hijo ni tiene asociado alguno en Su soberanía ni necesita de ningún socorredor”. ¡Glorifica a Dios proclamando Su grandeza!
