ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ

(of) the Book

l-kitābi

ٱلْحَكِيمِ

the wise

l-ḥakīmi

Álif. Lam. Ra’. Éstos son los versículos del Libro sabio.

for the mankind

عَجَبًا

a wonder

We revealed

رَجُلٍۢ

a man

rajulin

مِّنْهُمْ

from (among) them

min'hum

أَنْ

that

an

أَنذِرِ

Warn

andhiri

ٱلنَّاسَ

the mankind

l-nāsa

وَبَشِّرِ

and give glad tidings

wabashiri

ٱلَّذِينَ

(to) those who

alladhīna

ءَامَنُوٓا۟

believe

āmanū

أَنَّ

that

anna

لَهُمْ

for them

lahum

قَدَمَ

(will be) a respectable position

qadama

صِدْقٍ

(will be) a respectable position

ṣid'qin

عِندَ

near

ʿinda

رَبِّهِمْ ۗ

their Lord

rabbihim

قَالَ

Said

qāla

ٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ

the disbelievers

l-kāfirūna

إِنَّ

Indeed

inna

هَـٰذَا

this

hādhā

لَسَـٰحِرٌۭ

(is) surely a magician

lasāḥirun

مُّبِينٌ

obvious

mubīnun

٢

¿Acaso se sorprende la gente de que [Dios] le haya concedido la revelación a uno de ellos: “Advierte a la gente y albricia a los creyentes que por sus buenas obras obtendrán una hermosa recompensa ante su Señor?” Los que se niegan a creer dicen: “Éste es evidentemente un hechicero”.

your Lord

(is) Allah

ٱلَّذِى

the One Who

خَلَقَ

created

khalaqa

ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ

the heavens

l-samāwāti

وَٱلْأَرْضَ

and the earth

wal-arḍa

فِى

in

fī

سِتَّةِ

six

sittati

أَيَّامٍۢ

periods

ayyāmin

ثُمَّ

then

thumma

ٱسْتَوَىٰ

He established

is'tawā

عَلَى

on

ʿalā

ٱلْعَرْشِ ۖ

the Throne

l-ʿarshi

يُدَبِّرُ

disposing

yudabbiru

ٱلْأَمْرَ ۖ

the affairs

l-amra

مَا

Not

mā

مِن

(is) any intercessor

min

شَفِيعٍ

(is) any intercessor

shafīʿin

إِلَّا

except

illā

مِنۢ

after

min

بَعْدِ

after

baʿdi

إِذْنِهِۦ ۚ

His permission

idh'nihi

ذَٰلِكُمُ

That

dhālikumu

ٱللَّهُ

(is) Allah

l-lahu

رَبُّكُمْ

your Lord

rabbukum

فَٱعْبُدُوهُ ۚ

so worship Him

fa-uʿ'budūhu

أَفَلَا

Then will not

afalā

تَذَكَّرُونَ

you remember

tadhakkarūna

٣

Vuestro Señor es Dios. Creó los cielos y la Tierra en seis eras y luego se estableció sobre el Trono. Él es Quien decide todos los asuntos, nadie podrá interceder ante Él sin Su permiso. Ése es Dios, vuestro Señor; adoradle. ¿Es que no reflexionáis?

To Him

مَرْجِعُكُمْ

(will be) your return

marjiʿukum

جَمِيعًۭا ۖ

[all]

jamīʿan

وَعْدَ

Promise

waʿda

ٱللَّهِ

(of) Allah

l-lahi

حَقًّا ۚ

(is) true

ḥaqqan

إِنَّهُۥ

Indeed, He

innahu

يَبْدَؤُا۟

originates

yabda-u

ٱلْخَلْقَ

the creation

l-khalqa

ثُمَّ

then

thumma

يُعِيدُهُۥ

He repeats it

yuʿīduhu

لِيَجْزِىَ

that He may reward

liyajziya

ٱلَّذِينَ

those who

alladhīna

ءَامَنُوا۟

believed

āmanū

وَعَمِلُوا۟

and did

waʿamilū

ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ

the good deeds

l-ṣāliḥāti

بِٱلْقِسْطِ ۚ

in justice

bil-qis'ṭi

وَٱلَّذِينَ

But those who

wa-alladhīna

كَفَرُوا۟

disbelieved

kafarū

لَهُمْ

for them

lahum

شَرَابٌۭ

(will be) a drink

sharābun

مِّنْ

of

min

حَمِيمٍۢ

boiling fluids

ḥamīmin

وَعَذَابٌ

and a punishment

waʿadhābun

أَلِيمٌۢ

painful

alīmun

بِمَا

because

bimā

كَانُوا۟

they used (to)

kānū

يَكْفُرُونَ

disbelieve

yakfurūna

٤

Ante Él deberéis comparecer todos, pues la promesa de Dios es verdadera. Él es Quien origina la creación y luego la reproduce para retribuir con equidad a los creyentes que han obrado rectamente. En cambio, los que se hayan negado a creer beberán agua hirviendo y recibirán un castigo doloroso por su incredulidad.

a shining light

and the moon

wal-qamara

نُورًۭا

a reflected light

وَقَدَّرَهُۥ

and determined for it

waqaddarahu

مَنَازِلَ

phases

manāzila

لِتَعْلَمُوا۟

that you may know

litaʿlamū

عَدَدَ

(the) number

ʿadada

ٱلسِّنِينَ

(of) the years

l-sinīna

وَٱلْحِسَابَ ۚ

and the count (of time)

wal-ḥisāba

مَا

Not

mā

خَلَقَ

created

khalaqa

ٱللَّهُ

Allah

l-lahu

ذَٰلِكَ

that

dhālika

إِلَّا

except

illā

بِٱلْحَقِّ ۚ

in truth

bil-ḥaqi

يُفَصِّلُ

He explains

yufaṣṣilu

ٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِ

the Signs

l-āyāti

لِقَوْمٍۢ

for a people

liqawmin

يَعْلَمُونَ

(who) know

yaʿlamūna

٥

Él es Quien hizo que el Sol tuviese luz propia y determinó que la Luna reflejara su luz en distintas fases para que podáis computar el número de años y los meses. Dios creó esto con la verdad. Él explica los signos para gente de conocimiento.

ٱخْتِلَـٰفِ

(the) alternation

ikh'tilāfi

ٱلَّيْلِ

(of) the night

al-layli

وَٱلنَّهَارِ

and the day

wal-nahāri

وَمَا

and what

wamā

خَلَقَ

(has been) created

khalaqa

ٱللَّهُ

(by) Allah

l-lahu

فِى

in

fī

ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ

the heavens

l-samāwāti

وَٱلْأَرْضِ

and the earth

wal-arḍi

لَـَٔايَـٰتٍۢ

(are) Signs

laāyātin

لِّقَوْمٍۢ

for a people

liqawmin

يَتَّقُونَ

who are God conscious

yattaqūna

٦

En la sucesión de la noche y el día, y en lo que Dios ha creado en los cielos y en la Tierra, hay signos para la gente piadosa.

Indeed

those who

يَرْجُونَ

expect

لِقَآءَنَا

the meeting with Us

liqāanā

وَرَضُوا۟

and are pleased

waraḍū

بِٱلْحَيَوٰةِ

with the life

bil-ḥayati

ٱلدُّنْيَا

(of) the world

l-dun'yā

وَٱطْمَأَنُّوا۟

and feel satisfied

wa-iṭ'ma-annū

بِهَا

with it

bihā

وَٱلَّذِينَ

and those

wa-alladhīna

هُمْ

they

hum

عَنْ

(are) of

ʿan

ءَايَـٰتِنَا

Our Signs

āyātinā

غَـٰفِلُونَ

heedless

ghāfilūna

٧

Para aquellos que no esperan comparecer ante Mí, se complacen con la vida mundanal, se sienten satisfechos en ella, y son indiferentes con Mis signos,

Those

ulāika

مَأْوَىٰهُمُ

their abode

mawāhumu

ٱلنَّارُ

(will be) the Fire

l-nāru

بِمَا

for what

bimā

كَانُوا۟

they used (to)

يَكْسِبُونَ

earn

yaksibūna

٨

su morada será el Fuego por cuanto cometieron.

Indeed

ٱلَّذِينَ

those who

ءَامَنُوا۟

believed

وَعَمِلُوا۟

and did

waʿamilū

ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ

good deeds

l-ṣāliḥāti

يَهْدِيهِمْ

(will) guide them

yahdīhim

رَبُّهُم

their Lord

rabbuhum

بِإِيمَـٰنِهِمْ ۖ

by their faith

biīmānihim

تَجْرِى

Will flow

tajrī

مِن

from

min

تَحْتِهِمُ

underneath them

taḥtihimu

ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ

the rivers

l-anhāru

فِى

in

fī

جَنَّـٰتِ

Gardens

jannāti

ٱلنَّعِيمِ

(of) Delight

l-naʿīmi

٩

[Pero] a quienes crean y obren rectamente, su Señor les guiará por medio de la fe hacia los Jardines de las Delicias por donde corren ríos.

دَعْوَىٰهُمْ

Their prayer

daʿwāhum

فِيهَا

therein

fīhā

سُبْحَـٰنَكَ

(will be), "Glory be to You

sub'ḥānaka

ٱللَّهُمَّ

O Allah

l-lahuma

وَتَحِيَّتُهُمْ

And their greeting

wataḥiyyatuhum

فِيهَا

therein (will be)

fīhā

سَلَـٰمٌۭ ۚ

Peace

salāmun

وَءَاخِرُ

And the last

waākhiru

دَعْوَىٰهُمْ

(of) their call

daʿwāhum

أَنِ

(will be) [that]

ani

ٱلْحَمْدُ

All the Praise be

l-ḥamdu

لِلَّهِ

to Allah

lillahi

رَبِّ

Lord

rabbi

ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ

(of) the worlds

l-ʿālamīna

١٠

Allí invocarán: “¡Glorificado seas, oh, Dios [a Ti te imploramos]!” El saludo entre ellos será: “¡Paz!” y al finalizar sus súplicas dirán: “¡Todas las alabanzas pertenecen a Dios, Señor del universo!”

And if

walaw

يُعَجِّلُ

hastens

yuʿajjilu

ٱللَّهُ

(by) Allah

l-lahu

لِلنَّاسِ

for the mankind

lilnnāsi

ٱلشَّرَّ

the evil

l-shara

ٱسْتِعْجَالَهُم

(as) He hastens for them

is'tiʿ'jālahum

بِٱلْخَيْرِ

the good

bil-khayri

لَقُضِىَ

surely, would have been decreed

laquḍiya

إِلَيْهِمْ

for them

ilayhim

أَجَلُهُمْ ۖ

their term

ajaluhum

فَنَذَرُ

But We leave

fanadharu

ٱلَّذِينَ

those who

alladhīna

لَا

(do) not

lā

يَرْجُونَ

expect

yarjūna

لِقَآءَنَا

the meeting with Us

liqāanā

فِى

in

fī

طُغْيَـٰنِهِمْ

their transgression

ṭugh'yānihim

يَعْمَهُونَ

wandering blindly

yaʿmahūna

١١

Si Dios precipitara el castigo a la gente de la misma forma en que la gente se precipita a buscar los bienes materiales, ya les habría llegado su hora. Pero abandoné, ciegos en su extravío, a quienes no esperan comparecer ante Mí.

وَإِذَا

And when

ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ

the man

l-insāna

ٱلضُّرُّ

the affliction

l-ḍuru

دَعَانَا

he calls Us

daʿānā

لِجَنۢبِهِۦٓ

(lying) on his side

lijanbihi

أَوْ

or

aw

قَاعِدًا

sitting

qāʿidan

أَوْ

or

aw

قَآئِمًۭا

standing

qāiman

فَلَمَّا

But when

falammā

كَشَفْنَا

We remove

kashafnā

عَنْهُ

from him

ʿanhu

ضُرَّهُۥ

his affliction

ḍurrahu

مَرَّ

he passes on

marra

كَأَن

as if he

ka-an

لَّمْ

(had) not

lam

يَدْعُنَآ

called Us

yadʿunā

إِلَىٰ

for

ilā

ضُرٍّۢ

(the) affliction

ḍurrin

مَّسَّهُۥ ۚ

(that) touched him

massahu

كَذَٰلِكَ

Thus

kadhālika

زُيِّنَ

(it) is made fair seeming

zuyyina

لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ

to the extravagant

lil'mus'rifīna

مَا

what

mā

كَانُوا۟

they used (to)

kānū

يَعْمَلُونَ

do

yaʿmalūna

١٢

Cuando a la persona le acontece un mal Me implora recostado, sentado o de pie. Pero en cuanto le libro del mal, continúa desobediente como si nunca Me hubiera invocado. Así es como los transgresores ven sus obras malas como buenas.

وَلَقَدْ

And verily

walaqad

أَهْلَكْنَا

We destroyed

ahlaknā

ٱلْقُرُونَ

the generations

l-qurūna

مِن

before you

min

قَبْلِكُمْ

before you

qablikum

لَمَّا

when

lammā

ظَلَمُوا۟ ۙ

they wronged

ẓalamū

وَجَآءَتْهُمْ

and came to them

wajāathum

رُسُلُهُم

their Messengers

rusuluhum

بِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ

with clear proofs

bil-bayināti

وَمَا

but not

wamā

كَانُوا۟

they were

kānū

لِيُؤْمِنُوا۟ ۚ

to believe

liyu'minū

كَذَٰلِكَ

Thus

kadhālika

نَجْزِى

We recompense

najzī

ٱلْقَوْمَ

the people

l-qawma

ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ

(who are) criminals

l-muj'rimīna

١٣

Destruí a muchas generaciones que os precedieron porque fueron opresores. Sus Mensajeros se presentaron ante ellos con las evidencias, pero no les creyeron. Así castigué al pueblo pecador.

We made you

jaʿalnākum

خَلَـٰٓئِفَ

successors

khalāifa

فِى

ٱلْأَرْضِ

the earth

بَعْدِهِمْ

after them

baʿdihim

لِنَنظُرَ

so that We may see

linanẓura

كَيْفَ

how

kayfa

تَعْمَلُونَ

you do

taʿmalūna

١٤

Luego hice que os sucedierais en generaciones unos a otros en la Tierra, para observar vuestra forma de obrar.

And when

ءَايَاتُنَا

Our Verses

(as) clear proofs

قَالَ

ٱلَّذِينَ

those who

alladhīna

لَا

(do) not

يَرْجُونَ

hope

yarjūna

لِقَآءَنَا

(for the) meeting (with) Us

liqāanā

ٱئْتِ

Bring us

i'ti

بِقُرْءَانٍ

a Quran

biqur'ānin

غَيْرِ

other (than)

ghayri

هَـٰذَآ

this

hādhā

أَوْ

or

aw

بَدِّلْهُ ۚ

change it

baddil'hu

قُلْ

Say

qul

مَا

Not

mā

يَكُونُ

(it) is

yakūnu

لِىٓ

for me

lī

أَنْ

that

an

أُبَدِّلَهُۥ

I change it

ubaddilahu

مِن

of

min

تِلْقَآئِ

my own accord

til'qāi

نَفْسِىٓ ۖ

my own accord

nafsī

إِنْ

Not

in

أَتَّبِعُ

I follow

attabiʿu

إِلَّا

except

illā

مَا

what

mā

يُوحَىٰٓ

is revealed

yūḥā

إِلَىَّ ۖ

to me

ilayya

إِنِّىٓ

Indeed, I

innī

أَخَافُ

[I] fear

akhāfu

إِنْ

if

in

عَصَيْتُ

I were to disobey

ʿaṣaytu

رَبِّى

my Lord

rabbī

عَذَابَ

(the) punishment

ʿadhāba

يَوْمٍ

(of) a Day

yawmin

عَظِيمٍۢ

Great

ʿaẓīmin

١٥

Cuando se les recitan Mis versículos, quienes no esperan comparecer ante Mí dicen: “Tráenos otro Corán distinto o modifícalo”. Respóndeles: “No me es permitido modificarlo, solo sigo lo que me ha sido revelado. Temo que si desobedezco a mi Señor me azote el castigo de un día terrible”.

فِيكُمْ

among you

عُمُرًۭا

a lifetime

ʿumuran

مِّن

before it

قَبْلِهِۦٓ ۚ

before it

qablihi

أَفَلَا

Then will not

afalā

تَعْقِلُونَ

you use reason

taʿqilūna

١٦

Di [¡Oh, Muhámmad!]: “Si Dios no hubiera querido, yo no os habría recitado [el Corán] y no lo hubierais conocido jamás. He vivido toda mi vida entre vosotros antes de la revelación. ¿Acaso no vais a reflexionar?”

أَظْلَمُ

(is) more wrong

than he who

mimmani

ٱفْتَرَىٰ

invents

if'tarā

عَلَى

against

ʿalā

ٱللَّهِ

Allah

l-lahi

كَذِبًا

a lie

kadhiban

أَوْ

or

aw

كَذَّبَ

denies

kadhaba

بِـَٔايَـٰتِهِۦٓ ۚ

His Signs

biāyātihi

إِنَّهُۥ

Indeed

innahu

لَا

not

lā

يُفْلِحُ

will succeed

yuf'liḥu

ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ

the criminals

l-muj'rimūna

١٧

¿Hay alguien más injusto que quien atribuye a Dios sus propias invenciones y desmiente Sus signos? Los que hacen el mal no tendrán éxito.

وَيَعْبُدُونَ

And they worship

وَلَا

and not

walā

يَنفَعُهُمْ

benefit them

yanfaʿuhum

وَيَقُولُونَ

and they say

wayaqūlūna

هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ

These

hāulāi

شُفَعَـٰٓؤُنَا

(are) our intercessors

shufaʿāunā

عِندَ

with

ʿinda

ٱللَّهِ ۚ

Allah

l-lahi

قُلْ

Say

qul

أَتُنَبِّـُٔونَ

Do you inform

atunabbiūna

ٱللَّهَ

Allah

l-laha

بِمَا

of what

bimā

لَا

not

lā

يَعْلَمُ

he knows

yaʿlamu

فِى

in

fī

ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ

the heavens

l-samāwāti

وَلَا

and not

walā

فِى

in

fī

ٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ

the earth

l-arḍi

سُبْحَـٰنَهُۥ

Glorified is He

sub'ḥānahu

وَتَعَـٰلَىٰ

and Exalted

wataʿālā

عَمَّا

above what

ʿammā

يُشْرِكُونَ

they associate (with Him)

yush'rikūna

١٨

Adoran en vez de Dios lo que no puede perjudicarles ni beneficiarles, y dicen: “Éstos son nuestros intercesores ante Dios”. Diles: “¿Acaso pretendéis informar a Dios de algo que suceda en los cielos o en la Tierra que Él no sepa? ¡Glorificado sea! Está por encima de lo que Le asocian”.

And not

wamā

كَانَ

was

kāna

ٱلنَّاسُ

the mankind

l-nāsu

إِلَّآ

but

illā

أُمَّةًۭ

a community

ummatan

وَٰحِدَةًۭ

one

wāḥidatan

فَٱخْتَلَفُوا۟ ۚ

then they differed

fa-ikh'talafū

وَلَوْلَا

And had (it) not been

walawlā

كَلِمَةٌۭ

a word

kalimatun

سَبَقَتْ

(that) preceded

sabaqat

مِن

from

min

رَّبِّكَ

your Lord

rabbika

لَقُضِىَ

surely, it (would) have been judged

laquḍiya

بَيْنَهُمْ

between them

baynahum

فِيمَا

concerning what

fīmā

فِيهِ

[therein]

fīhi

يَخْتَلِفُونَ

they differ

yakhtalifūna

١٩

La humanidad conformaba una sola nación1, pero luego discreparon y se dividieron. Si no fuera por el designio de tu Señor, ya habrían sido juzgados.

And they say

لَوْلَآ

Why not

lawlā

أُنزِلَ

is sent down

unzila

عَلَيْهِ

to him

ʿalayhi

ءَايَةٌۭ

a Sign

مِّن

from

رَّبِّهِۦ ۖ

his Lord

rabbihi

فَقُلْ

So say

faqul

إِنَّمَا

Only

innamā

ٱلْغَيْبُ

the unseen

l-ghaybu

لِلَّهِ

(is) for Allah

lillahi

فَٱنتَظِرُوٓا۟

so wait

fa-intaẓirū

إِنِّى

indeed, I am

innī

مَعَكُم

with you

maʿakum

مِّنَ

among

mina

ٱلْمُنتَظِرِينَ

the ones who wait

l-muntaẓirīna

٢٠

Dicen: “¿Por qué no se le ha concedido [a Muhámmad] un milagro de su Señor?” Respóndeles: “El conocimiento de lo oculto pertenece solo a Dios. Esperad, que yo también esperaré”.

We let [the] mankind taste

ضَرَّآءَ

adversity

مَسَّتْهُمْ

has touched them

لَهُم

They have

lahum

مَّكْرٌۭ

a plot

فِىٓ

against

fī

ءَايَاتِنَا ۚ

Our Verses

āyātinā

قُلِ

Say

quli

ٱللَّهُ

Allah

l-lahu

أَسْرَعُ

(is) more swift

asraʿu

مَكْرًا ۚ

(in) planning

makran

إِنَّ

Indeed

inna

رُسُلَنَا

Our Messengers

rusulanā

يَكْتُبُونَ

write down

yaktubūna

مَا

what

mā

تَمْكُرُونَ

you plot

tamkurūna

٢١

Cuando agracio a la gente con una misericordia después de haber padecido alguna adversidad, no agradecen Mi favor. Diles: “Dios os retribuirá por todo lo que hagáis”. Mis emisarios registran todo cuanto hacéis.

(is) the One Who

يُسَيِّرُكُمْ

enables you to travel

yusayyirukum

فِى

fī

ٱلْبَرِّ

the land

l-bari

وَٱلْبَحْرِ ۖ

and the sea

wal-baḥri

حَتَّىٰٓ

until

ḥattā

إِذَا

when

idhā

كُنتُمْ

you are

kuntum

فِى

in

fī

ٱلْفُلْكِ

the ships

l-ful'ki

وَجَرَيْنَ

and they sail

wajarayna

بِهِم

with them

bihim

بِرِيحٍۢ

with a wind

birīḥin

طَيِّبَةٍۢ

good

ṭayyibatin

وَفَرِحُوا۟

and they rejoice

wafariḥū

بِهَا

therein

bihā

جَآءَتْهَا

comes to it

jāathā

رِيحٌ

a wind

rīḥun

عَاصِفٌۭ

stormy

ʿāṣifun

وَجَآءَهُمُ

and comes to them

wajāahumu

ٱلْمَوْجُ

the waves

l-mawju

مِن

from

min

كُلِّ

every

kulli

مَكَانٍۢ

place

makānin

وَظَنُّوٓا۟

and they assume

waẓannū

أَنَّهُمْ

that they

annahum

أُحِيطَ

are surrounded

uḥīṭa

بِهِمْ ۙ

with them

bihim

دَعَوُا۟

They call

daʿawū

ٱللَّهَ

Allah

l-laha

مُخْلِصِينَ

sincerely

mukh'liṣīna

لَهُ

to Him

lahu

ٱلدِّينَ

(in) the religion

l-dīna

لَئِنْ

(saying), "If

la-in

أَنجَيْتَنَا

You save us

anjaytanā

مِنْ

from

min

هَـٰذِهِۦ

this

hādhihi

لَنَكُونَنَّ

surely we will be

lanakūnanna

مِنَ

among

mina

ٱلشَّـٰكِرِينَ

the thankful

l-shākirīna

٢٢

Él es Quien ha facilitado que podáis transitar por la tierra y por el mar. Cuando navegáis con buenos vientos os complacéis, pero si os sacude una fuerte tormenta y las olas os golpean por todos lados y creéis que ya no tenéis salvación, entonces invocáis solamente a Dios con toda sinceridad diciendo: “Si nos salvas de ésta seremos de los agradecidos”.

فَلَمَّآ

But when

falammā

أَنجَىٰهُمْ

He saved them

anjāhum

إِذَا

behold

idhā

هُمْ

They

hum

يَبْغُونَ

rebel

yabghūna

فِى

in

fī

ٱلْأَرْضِ

the earth

l-arḍi

بِغَيْرِ

without

bighayri

ٱلْحَقِّ ۗ

[the] right

l-ḥaqi

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا

O mankind

yāayyuhā

ٱلنَّاسُ

O mankind

l-nāsu

إِنَّمَا

Only

innamā

بَغْيُكُمْ

your rebellion

baghyukum

عَلَىٰٓ

(is) against

ʿalā

أَنفُسِكُم ۖ

yourselves

anfusikum

مَّتَـٰعَ

(the) enjoyment

matāʿa

ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ

(of) the life

l-ḥayati

ٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ

(of) the world

l-dun'yā

ثُمَّ

Then

thumma

إِلَيْنَا

to Us

ilaynā

مَرْجِعُكُمْ

(is) your return

marjiʿukum

فَنُنَبِّئُكُم

and We will inform you

fanunabbi-ukum

بِمَا

of what

bimā

كُنتُمْ

you used (to)

kuntum

تَعْمَلُونَ

do

taʿmalūna

٢٣

Pero cuando Dios os salva, Le desobedecéis nuevamente sembrando la corrupción en la Tierra con injusticias. ¡Oh, gente! Vuestra corrupción recaerá sobre vosotros mismos. Solo disfrutaréis del placer transitorio de esta vida, pero luego compareceréis ante Mí y os comunicaré todo lo que hacíais.

ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ

(of) the life

l-ḥayati

ٱلدُّنْيَا

(of) the world

كَمَآءٍ

(is) like (the) water

kamāin

أَنزَلْنَـٰهُ

which We sent down

anzalnāhu

مِنَ

from

mina

ٱلسَّمَآءِ

the sky

l-samāi

فَٱخْتَلَطَ

so absorbs

fa-ikh'talaṭa

بِهِۦ

[with] it

bihi

نَبَاتُ

(the) plants

nabātu

ٱلْأَرْضِ

(of) the earth

l-arḍi

مِمَّا

from which

mimmā

يَأْكُلُ

eat

yakulu

ٱلنَّاسُ

the men

l-nāsu

وَٱلْأَنْعَـٰمُ

and the cattle

wal-anʿāmu

حَتَّىٰٓ

until

ḥattā

إِذَآ

when

idhā

أَخَذَتِ

takes

akhadhati

ٱلْأَرْضُ

the earth

l-arḍu

زُخْرُفَهَا

its adornment

zukh'rufahā

وَٱزَّيَّنَتْ

and is beautified

wa-izzayyanat

وَظَنَّ

and think

waẓanna

أَهْلُهَآ

its people

ahluhā

أَنَّهُمْ

that they

annahum

قَـٰدِرُونَ

have the power

qādirūna

عَلَيْهَآ

over it

ʿalayhā

أَتَىٰهَآ

comes (to) it

atāhā

أَمْرُنَا

Our command

amrunā

لَيْلًا

(by) night

laylan

أَوْ

or

aw

نَهَارًۭا

(by) day

nahāran

فَجَعَلْنَـٰهَا

and We make it

fajaʿalnāhā

حَصِيدًۭا

a harvest clean-mown

ḥaṣīdan

كَأَن

as if

ka-an

لَّمْ

not

lam

تَغْنَ

it had flourished

taghna

بِٱلْأَمْسِ ۚ

yesterday

bil-amsi

كَذَٰلِكَ

Thus

kadhālika

نُفَصِّلُ

We explain

nufaṣṣilu

ٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِ

the Signs

l-āyāti

لِقَوْمٍۢ

for a people

liqawmin

يَتَفَكَّرُونَ

who reflect

yatafakkarūna

٢٤

La vida mundanal es como el agua que hago descender del cielo con la que se riegan los cultivos de la tierra, de los cuales se alimentan los seres humanos y los animales. Cuando los frutos maduran, la tierra se embellece, y piensan las personas que tienen total disposición sobre ella. Entonces arraso los cultivos de noche o de día, devastando la tierra como si no hubiera sido cultivada. Con ejemplos como éste explico los signos para gente que reflexiona.

وَٱللَّهُ

And Allah

wal-lahu

يَدْعُوٓا۟

calls

yadʿū

إِلَىٰ

to

ilā

دَارِ

(the) Home

dāri

ٱلسَّلَـٰمِ

(of) the Peace

l-salāmi

وَيَهْدِى

and guides

wayahdī

مَن

whom

man

يَشَآءُ

He wills

yashāu

إِلَىٰ

to

ilā

صِرَٰطٍۢ

(the) straight path

ṣirāṭin

مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ

(the) straight path

mus'taqīmin

٢٥

Dios convoca a la morada de la paz y guía a quien quiere por el sendero recto.

۞ لِّلَّذِينَ

For those who

lilladhīna

أَحْسَنُوا۟

do good

aḥsanū

ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ

(is) the best

l-ḥus'nā

وَزِيَادَةٌۭ ۖ

and more

waziyādatun

وَلَا

And not

walā

يَرْهَقُ

(will) cover

yarhaqu

وُجُوهَهُمْ

their faces

wujūhahum

قَتَرٌۭ

dust

qatarun

وَلَا

and not

walā

ذِلَّةٌ ۚ

humiliation

dhillatun

أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ

Those

ulāika

أَصْحَـٰبُ

(are the) companions

aṣḥābu

ٱلْجَنَّةِ ۖ

(of) Paradise

l-janati

هُمْ

they

hum

فِيهَا

in it

fīhā

خَـٰلِدُونَ

(will) abide forever

khālidūna

٢٦

Quienes obren el bien obtendrán la mejor recompensa y una gracia aún mayor. Sus rostros no serán ensombrecidos ni sentirán humillación. Ellos serán los moradores del Paraíso en el que vivirán eternamente.

وَٱلَّذِينَ

And those who

wa-alladhīna

كَسَبُوا۟

earned

kasabū

ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ

the evil deeds

l-sayiāti

جَزَآءُ

(the) recompense

jazāu

سَيِّئَةٍۭ

(of) an evil deed

sayyi-atin

بِمِثْلِهَا

(is) like it

bimith'lihā

وَتَرْهَقُهُمْ

and (will) cover them

watarhaquhum

ذِلَّةٌۭ ۖ

humiliation

dhillatun

مَّا

They will not have

mā

لَهُم

They will not have

lahum

مِّنَ

from

mina

ٱللَّهِ

Allah

l-lahi

مِنْ

any

min

عَاصِمٍۢ ۖ

defender

ʿāṣimin

كَأَنَّمَآ

As if

ka-annamā

أُغْشِيَتْ

had been covered

ugh'shiyat

وُجُوهُهُمْ

their faces

wujūhuhum

قِطَعًۭا

(with) pieces

qiṭaʿan

مِّنَ

from

mina

ٱلَّيْلِ

the darkness (of) night

al-layli

مُظْلِمًا ۚ

the darkness (of) night

muẓ'liman

أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ

Those

ulāika

أَصْحَـٰبُ

(are the) companions

aṣḥābu

ٱلنَّارِ ۖ

(of) the Fire

l-nāri

هُمْ

they

hum

فِيهَا

in it

fīhā

خَـٰلِدُونَ

(will) abide forever

khālidūna

٢٧

Pero quienes hayan obrado el mal recibirán como pago un mal equivalente y una humillación. No encontrarán quien les proteja de Dios. Sus rostros se ennegrecerán como la oscuridad de la noche. Ellos serán los habitantes del Fuego, en el que permanecerán eternamente.

وَيَوْمَ

And (the) Day

We will gather them

naḥshuruhum

جَمِيعًۭا

all together

ثُمَّ

thumma

نَقُولُ

We will say

لِلَّذِينَ

to those who

lilladhīna

أَشْرَكُوا۟

associate partners (with Allah)

ashrakū

مَكَانَكُمْ

(Remain in) your place

makānakum

أَنتُمْ

you

antum

وَشُرَكَآؤُكُمْ ۚ

and your partners

washurakāukum

فَزَيَّلْنَا

Then We will separate

fazayyalnā

بَيْنَهُمْ ۖ

[between] them

baynahum

وَقَالَ

and (will) say

waqāla

شُرَكَآؤُهُم

their partners

shurakāuhum

مَّا

Not

mā

كُنتُمْ

you used (to)

kuntum

إِيَّانَا

worship us

iyyānā

تَعْبُدُونَ

worship us

taʿbudūna

٢٨

El día que los congregue a todos les diré a los idólatras: “Permaneced en vuestros sitios vosotros y vuestros ídolos”. Luego les separaremos a unos de otros y sus ídolos dirán: “Nosotros no les obligamos a que nos adorasen.

فَكَفَىٰ

So sufficient

fakafā

بِٱللَّهِ

(is) Allah

bil-lahi

شَهِيدًۢا

(as) a witness

shahīdan

بَيْنَنَا

between us

baynanā

وَبَيْنَكُمْ

and between you

wabaynakum

إِن

that

in

كُنَّا

we were

kunnā

عَنْ

of

ʿan

عِبَادَتِكُمْ

your worship

ʿibādatikum

لَغَـٰفِلِينَ

certainly unaware

laghāfilīna

٢٩

Dios es suficiente como testigo de que no sabíamos que nos adoraban”.

There

تَبْلُوا۟

will be put to trial

كُلُّ

نَفْسٍۢ

مَّآ

وَرُدُّوٓا۟

and they will be returned

waruddū

إِلَى

to

ilā

ٱللَّهِ

Allah

l-lahi

مَوْلَىٰهُمُ

their Lord

mawlāhumu

ٱلْحَقِّ ۖ

the true

l-ḥaqi

وَضَلَّ

and will be lost

waḍalla

عَنْهُم

from them

ʿanhum

مَّا

what

mā

كَانُوا۟

they used (to)

kānū

يَفْتَرُونَ

invent

yaftarūna

٣٠

Todos serán retribuidos según sus obras. Comparecerán ante Dios, su verdadero Señor, y sus mentiras se desvanecerán.

يَرْزُقُكُم

يَمْلِكُ

controls

yamliku

ٱلسَّمْعَ

the hearing

l-samʿa

وَٱلْأَبْصَـٰرَ

and the sight

wal-abṣāra

وَمَن

And who

waman

يُخْرِجُ

brings out

yukh'riju

ٱلْحَىَّ

the living

l-ḥaya

مِنَ

from

mina

ٱلْمَيِّتِ

the dead

l-mayiti

وَيُخْرِجُ

and brings forth

wayukh'riju

ٱلْمَيِّتَ

the dead

l-mayita

مِنَ

from

mina

ٱلْحَىِّ

the living

l-ḥayi

وَمَن

And who

waman

يُدَبِّرُ

disposes

yudabbiru

ٱلْأَمْرَ ۚ

the affairs

l-amra

فَسَيَقُولُونَ

Then they will say

fasayaqūlūna

ٱللَّهُ ۚ

Allah

l-lahu

فَقُلْ

Then say

faqul

أَفَلَا

Then will not

afalā

تَتَّقُونَ

you fear (Him)

tattaqūna

٣١

Pregúntales: “¿Quién os sustenta con las gracias del cielo y de la Tierra? ¿Quién os ha agraciado con el oído y la vista? ¿Quién hace surgir lo vivo de lo muerto y lo muerto de lo vivo? ¿Quién tiene bajo Su poder todas las cosas?” Responderán: “¡Dios!” Diles: “¿Acaso no vais a tener temor de Él [y abandonar la idolatría]?”

For that

ٱللَّهُ

(is) Allah

رَبُّكُمُ

your Lord

rabbukumu

ٱلْحَقُّ ۖ

the true

l-ḥaqu

فَمَاذَا

So what (can be)

famādhā

بَعْدَ

after

baʿda

ٱلْحَقِّ

the truth

l-ḥaqi

إِلَّا

except

illā

ٱلضَّلَـٰلُ ۖ

the error

l-ḍalālu

فَأَنَّىٰ

So how

fa-annā

تُصْرَفُونَ

(are) you turned away

tuṣ'rafūna

٣٢

Ése es Al-lah, vuestro verdadero Señor. ¿Qué hay más allá de la Verdad sino el extravío? ¿Cómo podéis ser tan desviados?

يُعِيدُهُۥ ۖ

فَأَنَّىٰ

So how

fa-annā

تُؤْفَكُونَ

you are deluded

٣٤

Di: “¿Acaso alguno de vuestros ídolos puede originar una creación y luego reproducirla?” Diles: “Dios es Quien origina la creación y luego la reproduce. ¿Cómo podéis ser tan desviados [de adorar a otros]?”

أَفَمَن

Is then (he) who

afaman

يَهْدِىٓ

guides

إِلَى

ilā

ٱلْحَقِّ

the truth

أَحَقُّ

more worthy

aḥaqqu

أَن

that

an

يُتَّبَعَ

he should be followed

yuttabaʿa

أَمَّن

or (he) who

amman

لَّا

(does) not

lā

يَهِدِّىٓ

guide

yahiddī

إِلَّآ

unless

illā

أَن

[that]

an

يُهْدَىٰ ۖ

he is guided

yuh'dā

فَمَا

Then what

famā

لَكُمْ

(is) for you

lakum

you judge

Di: “¿Acaso alguno de vuestros ídolos puede guiar a alguien a la verdad?” Di: “Dios es Quien guía hacia la verdad”. ¿Acaso no es más sensato seguir a Quien guía hacia la verdad, en vez de seguir a quienes no pueden guiar a nadie y necesitan ellos mismos ser guiados? ¿Cómo podéis actuar de esa forma?

ٱلْحَقِّ

the truth

شَيْـًٔا ۚ

anything

shayan

إِنَّ

Indeed

inna

ٱللَّهَ

Allah

l-laha

عَلِيمٌۢ

(is) All-Knower

ʿalīmun

بِمَا

of what

bimā

يَفْعَلُونَ

they do

yafʿalūna

٣٦

Pero la mayoría de ellos no sigue sino conjeturas. Las conjeturas no son un argumento válido frente a la Verdad. Dios bien sabe lo que hacen.

ٱللَّهِ

l-lahi

وَلَـٰكِن

but

تَصْدِيقَ

(it is) a confirmation

taṣdīqa

ٱلَّذِى

(of that) which

alladhī

بَيْنَ

(was) before it

bayna

يَدَيْهِ

(was) before it

yadayhi

وَتَفْصِيلَ

and a detailed explanation

watafṣīla

ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ

(of) the Book

l-kitābi

لَا

(there is) no

lā

رَيْبَ

doubt

rayba

فِيهِ

in it

fīhi

مِن

from

min

رَّبِّ

(the) Lord

rabbi

ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ

(of) the worlds

l-ʿālamīna

٣٧

El Corán no puede provenir sino de Dios. Confirma las revelaciones anteriores y explica detalladamente Sus preceptos, no hay duda alguna de que proviene del Señor del universo.

وَٱدْعُوا۟

and call

ٱسْتَطَعْتُم

you can

is'taṭaʿtum

مِّن

besides Allah

min

دُونِ

besides Allah

dūni

ٱللَّهِ

besides Allah

l-lahi

إِن

if

in

كُنتُمْ

you are

kuntum

صَـٰدِقِينَ

truthful

ṣādiqīna

٣٨

Dicen: “[Muhámmad] lo ha inventado”. Diles: “Entonces producid un capítulo similar [a un capítulo del Corán]. Recurrid para ello a quienes queráis fuera de Dios, si es que decís la verdad”.

its interpretation

كَذَٰلِكَ

Thus

kadhālika

كَذَّبَ

denied

kadhaba

ٱلَّذِينَ

those

alladhīna

مِن

before them

min

قَبْلِهِمْ ۖ

before them

qablihim

فَٱنظُرْ

then see

fa-unẓur

كَيْفَ

how

kayfa

كَانَ

was

kāna

عَـٰقِبَةُ

(the) end

ʿāqibatu

ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

(of) the wrongdoers

l-ẓālimīna

٣٩

Desmienten lo que no conocen y aquello cuya interpretación no han recibido aún. Así también desmintieron sus ancestros. Pero observa cómo fue el final de los opresores.

بِهِۦ ۚ

وَرَبُّكَ

And your Lord

warabbuka

أَعْلَمُ

(is) All-Knower

aʿlamu

بِٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ

of the corrupters

bil-muf'sidīna

Entre ellos hay quienes creen en él y quienes no. Tu Señor conoce bien a los que siembran la corrupción.

they deny you

(are) your deeds

أَنتُم

You

بَرِيٓـُٔونَ

from what

أَعْمَلُ

I do

وَأَنَا۠

and I am

wa-anā

بَرِىٓءٌۭ

مِّمَّا

mimmā

تَعْمَلُونَ

you do

taʿmalūna

Pero si te desmienten, diles: “Yo soy responsable de mis obras y vosotros de las vuestras. Vosotros no sois responsables de lo que yo haga, como yo tampoco soy responsable de lo que hagáis”.

And among them

إِلَيْكَ ۚ

to you

cause the deaf to hear

ٱلصُّمَّ

cause the deaf to hear

وَلَوْ

even though

كَانُوا۟

they [were]

لَا

(do) not

يَعْقِلُونَ

use reason

yaʿqilūna

Algunos de ellos te escuchan, pero, ¿acaso tú puedes hacer oír a quien Dios le ha impedido oír y razonar?

Algunos de ellos te miran, pero, ¿acaso tú puedes hacer ver a quien Dios ha enceguecido?

يَظْلِمُونَ

Dios no oprime a las personas en absolutamente nada, sino que son las personas las que se oprimen a sí mismas.

And the Day

يَحْشُرُهُمْ

He will gather them

they had not remained

يَلْبَثُوٓا۟

إِلَّا

سَاعَةًۭ

an hour

sāʿatan

مِّنَ

mina

ٱلنَّهَارِ

the day

l-nahāri

يَتَعَارَفُونَ

they will recognize each other

yataʿārafūna

بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ

between them

baynahum

قَدْ

Certainly

qad

خَسِرَ

(will have) lost

khasira

ٱلَّذِينَ

those who

alladhīna

كَذَّبُوا۟

denied

kadhabū

بِلِقَآءِ

the meeting

biliqāi

ٱللَّهِ

(with) Allah

l-lahi

وَمَا

and not

wamā

كَانُوا۟

they were

kānū

مُهْتَدِينَ

the guided ones

muh'tadīna

٤٥

El día que los congregue, les parecerá no haber permanecido más que una hora. Se reconocerán entre ellos. Quienes desmintieron el encuentro con Dios habrán perdido, porque no seguían la guía.

وَإِمَّا

And whether

wa-immā

نُرِيَنَّكَ

We show you

nuriyannaka

بَعْضَ

some

baʿḍa

ٱلَّذِى

(of) that which

alladhī

نَعِدُهُمْ

We promised them

naʿiduhum

أَوْ

or

aw

نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ

We cause you to die

natawaffayannaka

فَإِلَيْنَا

then to Us

fa-ilaynā

مَرْجِعُهُمْ

(is) their return

marjiʿuhum

ثُمَّ

then

thumma

ٱللَّهُ

Allah

l-lahu

شَهِيدٌ

(is) a Witness

shahīdun

عَلَىٰ

over

ʿalā

مَا

what

mā

يَفْعَلُونَ

they do

yafʿalūna

٤٦

Ya sea que te permita presenciar el castigo con el que los amenazo o que te haga morir antes, de igual manera ellos comparecerán ante Mí. Dios es testigo de lo que hacen.

وَلِكُلِّ

And for every

walikulli

أُمَّةٍۢ

nation

ummatin

رَّسُولٌۭ ۖ

(is) a Messenger

rasūlun

فَإِذَا

So when

fa-idhā

جَآءَ

comes

jāa

رَسُولُهُمْ

their Messenger

rasūluhum

قُضِىَ

it will be judged

quḍiya

بَيْنَهُم

between them

baynahum

بِٱلْقِسْطِ

in justice

bil-qis'ṭi

وَهُمْ

and they

wahum

لَا

(will) not

lā

يُظْلَمُونَ

be wronged

yuẓ'lamūna

٤٧

A cada comunidad le envié un Mensajero. Cada vez que le desmintieron los destruí, salvando al Mensajero y a los creyentes, pero nadie fue castigado injustamente.

وَيَقُولُونَ

And they say

مَتَىٰ

When

هَـٰذَا

(will) this

ٱلْوَعْدُ

the promise (be fulfilled)

صَـٰدِقِينَ

truthful

Y dijeron: “¿Cuándo se cumplirá esta amenaza, si es que dices la verdad?”

لِكُلِّ

For every

أُمَّةٍ

nation

أَجَلٌ ۚ

(is) a term

ajalun

إِذَا

When

idhā

جَآءَ

comes

jāa

أَجَلُهُمْ

their term

ajaluhum

فَلَا

then not

falā

يَسْتَـْٔخِرُونَ

they remain behind

yastakhirūna

سَاعَةًۭ ۖ

an hour

sāʿatan

وَلَا

and not

walā

يَسْتَقْدِمُونَ

they can precede (it)

yastaqdimūna

٤٩

Diles: “Yo no puedo perjudicar ni beneficiar, a menos que Dios así lo quiera”. Toda comunidad tiene un plazo prefijado; cuando éste llega no pueden retrasarlo ni adelantarlo, ni siquiera una hora.

Do you see

أَوْ

نَهَارًۭا

(by) day

مَّاذَا

what (portion)

يَسْتَعْجِلُ

of it would (wish to) hasten

yastaʿjilu

مِنْهُ

of it would (wish to) hasten

min'hu

ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ

the criminals

l-muj'rimūna

٥٠

Di: “¿Y si el castigo os alcanzara súbitamente de noche o de día? ¿Aun así querrían los pecadores adelantarlo?

Is (it) then

¿Acaso vais a creer cuando ya haya ocurrido? ¿No era eso lo que, despectivamente, queríais que fuera adelantado?”

the everlasting

هَلْ

Are you (being) recompensed

تُجْزَوْنَ

Are you (being) recompensed

tuj'zawna

إِلَّا

except

بِمَا

for what

bimā

كُنتُمْ

you used (to)

kuntum

تَكْسِبُونَ

earn

taksibūna

٥٢

Luego se les dirá a los opresores: “Sufrid el castigo eterno. ¿Acaso no es esta una retribución justa, acorde a lo que solíais hacer?”

And they ask you to inform

(is) surely the truth

بِمُعْجِزِينَ

(can) escape (it)

bimuʿ'jizīna

٥٣

Te preguntan: “Es real [el Día del Juicio]?” Di: “¡Juro por mi Señor que sí! Es la verdad de la que no podréis huir”.

it (would) seek to ransom

بِهِۦ ۗ

with it

bihi

وَأَسَرُّوا۟

and they (will) confide

wa-asarrū

ٱلنَّدَامَةَ

the regret

l-nadāmata

لَمَّا

when

lammā

رَأَوُا۟

they see

ra-awū

ٱلْعَذَابَ ۖ

the punishment

l-ʿadhāba

وَقُضِىَ

But will be judged

waquḍiya

بَيْنَهُم

between them

baynahum

بِٱلْقِسْطِ ۚ

in justice

bil-qis'ṭi

وَهُمْ

and they

wahum

لَا

(will) not

lā

يُظْلَمُونَ

(be) wronged

yuẓ'lamūna

٥٤

Si los opresores tuvieran cuanto hay en la Tierra, querrían darlo como rescate para salvarse. Pero cuando vean el castigo no podrán mostrar su arrepentimiento. Serán juzgados con equidad y no serán tratados injustamente.

وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۗ

and the earth

wal-arḍi

أَلَآ

No doubt

alā

إِنَّ

indeed

inna

وَعْدَ

(the) Promise of Allah

waʿda

ٱللَّهِ

(the) Promise of Allah

l-lahi

حَقٌّۭ

(is) true

ḥaqqun

وَلَـٰكِنَّ

But

walākinna

أَكْثَرَهُمْ

most of them

aktharahum

لَا

(do) not

lā

يَعْلَمُونَ

know

yaʿlamūna

٥٥

A Dios pertenece cuanto hay en los cielos y en la Tierra. La promesa de Dios se cumplirá, a pesar de que la mayoría lo ignora.

وَإِلَيْهِ

an instruction

مِّن

رَّبِّكُمْ

your Lord

rabbikum

وَشِفَآءٌۭ

and a healing

washifāon

لِّمَا

for what

limā

فِى

(is) in

fī

ٱلصُّدُورِ

your breasts

l-ṣudūri

وَهُدًۭى

and guidance

wahudan

وَرَحْمَةٌۭ

and mercy

waraḥmatun

لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

for the believers

lil'mu'minīna

٥٧

¡Oh, gente! Os ha llegado el Mensaje de vuestro Señor, que es un motivo de reflexión, cura para toda incertidumbre que hubiera en vuestros corazones, guía y misericordia para los creyentes.

Say

بِفَضْلِ

In the Bounty

bifaḍli

ٱللَّهِ

(of) Allah

l-lahi

وَبِرَحْمَتِهِۦ

and in His Mercy

wabiraḥmatihi

فَبِذَٰلِكَ

so in that

fabidhālika

فَلْيَفْرَحُوا۟

let them rejoice

falyafraḥū

هُوَ

It

huwa

خَيْرٌۭ

(is) better

khayrun

مِّمَّا

than what

mimmā

يَجْمَعُونَ

they accumulate

yajmaʿūna

٥٨

Diles: “Que se alegren por esta gracia y misericordia de Dios. Eso es superior a todas las riquezas que pudieran acumular”.

فَجَعَلْتُم

and you have made

مِّنْهُ

حَرَامًۭا

unlawful

وَحَلَـٰلًۭا

and lawful

waḥalālan

قُلْ

Say

qul

ءَآللَّهُ

Has Allah

āllahu

أَذِنَ

permitted

adhina

لَكُمْ ۖ

[to] you

lakum

أَمْ

or

am

عَلَى

about

ʿalā

ٱللَّهِ

Allah

l-lahi

تَفْتَرُونَ

you invent (lies)

taftarūna

Diles: “Dios os ha provisto de sustento, pero considerasteis lícita una parte y prohibida otra parte. Decidme: ¿Acaso Dios os dio esa orden, o estáis atribuyendo a Dios lo que os parece?”

ٱلْكَذِبَ

the lie

يَوْمَ

(on) the Day

yawma

ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ۗ

(of) the Judgment

l-qiyāmati

إِنَّ

Indeed

inna

ٱللَّهَ

Allah

l-laha

لَذُو

(is) surely Full (of) Bounty

ladhū

فَضْلٍ

(is) surely Full (of) Bounty

faḍlin

عَلَى

to

ʿalā

ٱلنَّاسِ

the mankind

l-nāsi

وَلَـٰكِنَّ

but

walākinna

أَكْثَرَهُمْ

most of them

aktharahum

لَا

(are) not

lā

يَشْكُرُونَ

grateful

yashkurūna

٦٠

¿Qué creen que se hará con ellos, los que atribuyen a Dios sus propias invenciones, el Día del Juicio? Dios concede grandes favores a la gente, pero la mayoría no Le agradece.

عَلَيْكُمْ

شُهُودًا

witnesses

إِذْ

تُفِيضُونَ

you are engaged

tufīḍūna

فِيهِ ۚ

in it

fīhi

وَمَا

And not

wamā

يَعْزُبُ

escapes

yaʿzubu

عَن

from

ʿan

رَّبِّكَ

your Lord

rabbika

مِن

of

min

مِّثْقَالِ

(the) weight

mith'qāli

ذَرَّةٍۢ

(of) an atom

dharratin

فِى

in

fī

ٱلْأَرْضِ

the earth

l-arḍi

وَلَا

and not

walā

فِى

in

fī

ٱلسَّمَآءِ

the heavens

l-samāi

وَلَآ

and not

walā

أَصْغَرَ

smaller

aṣghara

مِن

than

min

ذَٰلِكَ

that

dhālika

وَلَآ

and not

walā

No hay situación en la que os encontréis, no hay pasaje del Corán que recitéis ni otra obra que realicéis, sin que Yo sea testigo de lo que hacéis. A tu Señor no se Le escapa nada en la Tierra ni en el cielo, ni siquiera algo del peso de un átomo. No existe nada menor o mayor a eso que no esté registrado en un Libro claro.

No doubt

أَوْلِيَآءَ

وَلَا

and not

walā

هُمْ

they

hum

يَحْزَنُونَ

will grieve

Los protegidos de Dios no habrán de sentir temor ni tristeza,

(is there) in the Words

likalimāti

ٱللَّهِ ۚ

(of) Allah

l-lahi

ذَٰلِكَ

That

dhālika

هُوَ

is

huwa

ٱلْفَوْزُ

the success

l-fawzu

ٱلْعَظِيمُ

the great

l-ʿaẓīmu

٦٤

Ellos recibirán la albricia en esta vida y en la otra. La promesa de Dios es inalterable. Ése es el éxito grandioso.

جَمِيعًا ۚ

(is) the All-Hearer

the All-Knower

l-ʿalīmu

No te apenes por lo que dicen. El triunfo será de Dios, Él todo lo oye, todo lo sabe.

مِن

other than Allah

دُونِ

other than Allah

dūni

ٱللَّهِ

other than Allah

l-lahi

شُرَكَآءَ ۚ

partners

shurakāa

إِن

Not

in

يَتَّبِعُونَ

they follow

yattabiʿūna

إِلَّا

but

illā

ٱلظَّنَّ

the assumption

l-ẓana

وَإِنْ

and not

wa-in

هُمْ

they

hum

إِلَّا

but

illā

يَخْرُصُونَ

guess

yakhruṣūna

٦٦

A Dios pertenece todo cuanto hay en los cielos y en la Tierra. ¿Y qué siguen, entonces, quienes invocan a ídolos en vez de invocar a Dios? Solo siguen conjeturas y no hacen más que suponer.

Indeed

ذَٰلِكَ

that

dhālika

لَـَٔايَـٰتٍۢ

surely (are) Signs

laāyātin

لِّقَوْمٍۢ

for a people

liqawmin

يَسْمَعُونَ

(who) listen

yasmaʿūna

٦٧

Él es Quien ha hecho la noche para que descanséis y el día para que veáis. En ello hay signos para quienes reflexionan.

Allah has taken

هُوَ

He

ٱلْغَنِىُّ ۖ

To Him (belongs)

ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ

the heavens

وَمَا

and whatever

ٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ

the earth

إِنْ

Not

عِندَكُم

you have

ʿindakum

مِّن

any

min

سُلْطَـٰنٍۭ

authority

sul'ṭānin

بِهَـٰذَآ ۚ

for this

bihādhā

أَتَقُولُونَ

Do you say

ataqūlūna

عَلَى

about

ʿalā

ٱللَّهِ

Allah

l-lahi

مَا

what

mā

لَا

not

lā

تَعْلَمُونَ

you know

taʿlamūna

٦٨

Dicen: “Dios ha tenido un hijo”. ¡Glorificado sea! Él es el Opulento, Le pertenece cuanto hay en los cielos y en la Tierra. No tenéis ninguna prueba de lo que inventáis. ¿Acaso vais a atribuir a Dios algo que no sabéis?

An enjoyment

We will make them taste

ٱلْعَذَابَ

the punishment

ٱلشَّدِيدَ

the severe

بِمَا

because

bimā

كَانُوا۟

they used to

kānū

يَكْفُرُونَ

disbelieve

yakfurūna

٧٠

Disfrutarán transitoriamente en la vida mundanal, pero luego comparecerán ante Mí y sufrirán un castigo severo por haberse negado a creer.

And recite

to them

نَبَأَ

نُوحٍ

لِقَوْمِهِۦ

to his people

liqawmihi

يَـٰقَوْمِ

O my people

yāqawmi

إِن

If

in

كَانَ

kāna

كَبُرَ

hard

عَلَيْكُم

on you

ʿalaykum

مَّقَامِى

my stay

maqāmī

وَتَذْكِيرِى

and my reminding

watadhkīrī

بِـَٔايَـٰتِ

the Signs of Allah

biāyāti

ٱللَّهِ

the Signs of Allah

l-lahi

فَعَلَى

then on

faʿalā

ٱللَّهِ

Allah

l-lahi

تَوَكَّلْتُ

I put my trust

tawakkaltu

فَأَجْمِعُوٓا۟

So you all resolve

fa-ajmiʿū

أَمْرَكُمْ

your plan

amrakum

وَشُرَكَآءَكُمْ

and your partners

washurakāakum

ثُمَّ

Then

thumma

لَا

let not be

lā

يَكُنْ

let not be

yakun

أَمْرُكُمْ

(in) your plan

amrukum

عَلَيْكُمْ

for you

ʿalaykum

غُمَّةًۭ

any doubt

ghummatan

ثُمَّ

Then

thumma

ٱقْضُوٓا۟

carry (it out)

iq'ḍū

إِلَىَّ

upon me

ilayya

وَلَا

and (do) not

walā

تُنظِرُونِ

give me respite

tunẓirūni

٧١

Relátales la historia de Noé, cuando dijo a su gente: “¡Oh, pueblo mío! Si os molesta que viva con vosotros y que os recuerde el mensaje de Dios, a Él me encomiendo. Decidid lo que vais a hacer [conmigo] vosotros y vuestros ídolos. Tomad una decisión y aplicádmela, y no me hagáis esperar.

(is) my reward

ʿalā

ٱللَّهِ ۖ

وَأُمِرْتُ

and I have been commanded

wa-umir'tu

أَنْ

that

an

أَكُونَ

I be

akūna

مِنَ

of

mina

ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ

the Muslims

l-mus'limīna

٧٢

Pero si lo rechazáis sabed que no os pido ningún pago, solo de Dios espero recompensa. Me ha sido ordenado que me cuente entre quienes se entregan a Él.

فَكَذَّبُوهُ

But they denied him

fakadhabūhu

فَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُ

so We saved him

fanajjaynāhu

وَمَن

and (those) who

waman

مَّعَهُۥ

(were) with him

maʿahu

فِى

in

fī

ٱلْفُلْكِ

the ship

l-ful'ki

وَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمْ

and We made them

wajaʿalnāhum

خَلَـٰٓئِفَ

successors

khalāifa

وَأَغْرَقْنَا

and We drowned

wa-aghraqnā

ٱلَّذِينَ

those who

alladhīna

كَذَّبُوا۟

denied

kadhabū

بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا ۖ

Our Signs

biāyātinā

فَٱنظُرْ

Then see

fa-unẓur

كَيْفَ

how

kayfa

كَانَ

was

kāna

عَـٰقِبَةُ

(the) end

ʿāqibatu

ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ

(of) those who were warned

l-mundharīna

٧٣

Pero le desmintieron, entonces le salvé junto a sus seguidores que abordaron el arca, e hice que fueran los sucesores. Ahogué a quienes desmintieron Mi mensaje. Observa el resultado de quienes fueron advertidos.

We sent

Messengers

their people

فَجَآءُوهُم

and they came to them

fajāūhum

بِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ

with clear proofs

bil-bayināti

فَمَا

But not

famā

كَانُوا۟

they were

kānū

لِيُؤْمِنُوا۟

to believe

liyu'minū

بِمَا

what

bimā

كَذَّبُوا۟

they had denied

kadhabū

بِهِۦ

[it]

bihi

مِن

before

min

قَبْلُ ۚ

before

qablu

كَذَٰلِكَ

Thus

kadhālika

نَطْبَعُ

We seal

naṭbaʿu

عَلَىٰ

[on]

ʿalā

قُلُوبِ

the hearts

qulūbi

ٱلْمُعْتَدِينَ

(of) the transgressors

l-muʿ'tadīna

٧٤

Luego envié otros Mensajeros, quienes se presentaron ante sus pueblos con las evidencias, pero al igual que sus predecesores no creyeron. Así es como sellamos los corazones de los que transgreden.

We sent

Musa

and Harun

إِلَىٰ

to

ilā

فِرْعَوْنَ

Firaun

fir'ʿawna

وَمَلَإِي۟هِۦ

and his chiefs

wamala-ihi

بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا

with Our Signs

biāyātinā

فَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟

but they were arrogant

fa-is'takbarū

وَكَانُوا۟

and were

wakānū

قَوْمًۭا

a people

qawman

مُّجْرِمِينَ

criminal

muj'rimīna

٧٥

Luego envié a Moisés y a Aarón con Mis signos ante el Faraón y su nobleza. Pero respondieron con soberbia porque eran criminales.

came to them

Cuando les llegó Mi Mensaje dijeron: “Esto es claramente hechicería”.

أَسِحْرٌ

Is this magic

هَـٰذَا

وَلَا

But (will) not

يُفْلِحُ

succeed

ٱلسَّـٰحِرُونَ

the magicians

l-sāḥirūna

٧٧

Moisés dijo: “¿Esto es lo que decís cuando os llega la Verdad? ¿Qué es hechicería? Los hechiceros no tendrán éxito”.

قَالُوٓا۟

They said

أَجِئْتَنَا

Have you come to us

aji'tanā

لِتَلْفِتَنَا

to turn us away

litalfitanā

عَمَّا

from that

ʿammā

وَجَدْنَا

we found

عَلَيْهِ

on it

ʿalayhi

ءَابَآءَنَا

our forefathers

ābāanā

وَتَكُونَ

and you two (may) have

watakūna

لَكُمَا

and you two (may) have

lakumā

ٱلْكِبْرِيَآءُ

the greatness

l-kib'riyāu

فِى

in

fī

ٱلْأَرْضِ

the land

l-arḍi

وَمَا

And we (are) not

wamā

نَحْنُ

And we (are) not

naḥnu

لَكُمَا

(in) you two

lakumā

بِمُؤْمِنِينَ

believers

bimu'minīna

٧٨

Dijeron: “¿Habéis venido para alejarnos de la religión de nuestros padres, y así ser vosotros dos quienes tengáis el dominio en la tierra? Nosotros no os creeremos”.

And Firaun said

فِرْعَوْنُ

And Firaun said

ٱئْتُونِى

Bring to me

i'tūnī

بِكُلِّ

عَلِيمٍۢ

learned

ʿalīmin

٧٩

El Faraón dijo: “Convocad ante mí a todo hechicero experto”.

Cuando se presentaron los magos, Moisés les dijo: “Arrojad lo que tengáis que arrojar”.

ٱلسِّحْرُ ۖ

Indeed

ٱللَّهَ

سَيُبْطِلُهُۥٓ ۖ

will nullify it

sayub'ṭiluhu

إِنَّ

Indeed

inna

ٱللَّهَ

Allah

l-laha

لَا

(does) not

lā

يُصْلِحُ

amend

yuṣ'liḥu

عَمَلَ

the work

ʿamala

ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ

(of) the corrupters

l-muf'sidīna

٨١

Y cuando arrojaron [sus varas, poniendo un hechizo en los ojos de la gente], Moisés dijo: “Lo que hacéis es hechicería y Dios la va a anular. Dios no permite que prosperen las obras de los que siembran la corrupción.

And Allah will establish

خَوْفٍۢ

وَمَلَإِي۟هِمْ

and their chiefs

wamala-ihim

أَن

lest

an

يَفْتِنَهُمْ ۚ

they persecute them

yaftinahum

وَإِنَّ

And indeed

wa-inna

فِرْعَوْنَ

Firaun

fir'ʿawna

لَعَالٍۢ

(was) a tyrant

laʿālin

فِى

in

fī

ٱلْأَرْضِ

the earth

l-arḍi

وَإِنَّهُۥ

and indeed, he

wa-innahu

لَمِنَ

(was) of

lamina

ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ

the ones who commit excesses

l-mus'rifīna

٨٣

No creyeron en Moisés sino unos pocos de su pueblo que temían que el Faraón y su nobleza les persiguieran. El Faraón era un tirano arrogante y un transgresor en su propia tierra.

And Musa said

مُوسَىٰ

And Musa said

O my people

بِٱللَّهِ

in Allah

bil-lahi

فَعَلَيْهِ

then on Him

faʿalayhi

تَوَكَّلُوٓا۟

put your trust

tawakkalū

إِن

if

in

كُنتُم

you are

kuntum

مُّسْلِمِينَ

Muslims

mus'limīna

٨٤

Dijo Moisés: “¡Oh, pueblo mío! Si creéis, encomendaos a Dios, si es

تَجْعَلْنَا

فِتْنَةًۭ

a trial

fit'natan

لِّلْقَوْمِ

for the people

lil'qawmi

ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

the wrongdoers

l-ẓālimīna

٨٥

Dijeron: “A Dios nos encomendamos, ¡Señor nuestro! No permitas que nos domine este pueblo opresor.

And save us

wanajjinā

بِرَحْمَتِكَ

by Your Mercy

مِنَ

ٱلْقَوْمِ

٨٦

Y por Tu misericordia, sálvanos de la gente que se niega a creer”.

And We inspired

وَأَخِيهِ

and his brother

Settle

tabawwaā

لِقَوْمِكُمَا

your people

liqawmikumā

بِمِصْرَ

in Egypt

bimiṣ'ra

بُيُوتًۭا

(in) houses

buyūtan

وَٱجْعَلُوا۟

and make

wa-ij'ʿalū

بُيُوتَكُمْ

your houses

buyūtakum

قِبْلَةًۭ

(as) places of worship

qib'latan

وَأَقِيمُوا۟

and establish

wa-aqīmū

ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ ۗ

the prayer

l-ṣalata

وَبَشِّرِ

And give glad tidings

wabashiri

ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

(to) the believers

l-mu'minīna

٨٧

Le inspiré a Moisés y a su hermano: “Reservad algunas casas en la ciudad para su pueblo. Convertid vuestras casas en lugares de culto, y sed constantes en la oración. [Oh, Moisés]: Albricia [con el auxilio de Dios]a todos los creyentes”.

Our Lord

إِنَّكَ

fir'ʿawna

وَمَلَأَهُۥ

and his chiefs

wamala-ahu

زِينَةًۭ

splendor

zīnatan

وَأَمْوَٰلًۭا

and wealth

wa-amwālan

فِى

in

fī

ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ

the life

l-ḥayati

ٱلدُّنْيَا

(of) the world

l-dun'yā

رَبَّنَا

Our Lord

rabbanā

لِيُضِلُّوا۟

That they may lead astray

liyuḍillū

عَن

from

ʿan

سَبِيلِكَ ۖ

Your way

sabīlika

رَبَّنَا

Our Lord

rabbanā

ٱطْمِسْ

Destroy

iṭ'mis

عَلَىٰٓ

[on]

ʿalā

أَمْوَٰلِهِمْ

their wealth

amwālihim

وَٱشْدُدْ

and harden

wa-ush'dud

عَلَىٰ

[on]

ʿalā

قُلُوبِهِمْ

their hearts

qulūbihim

فَلَا

so (that) not

falā

يُؤْمِنُوا۟

they believe

yu'minū

حَتَّىٰ

until

ḥattā

يَرَوُا۟

they see

yarawū

ٱلْعَذَابَ

the punishment

l-ʿadhāba

ٱلْأَلِيمَ

the painful

l-alīma

٨٨

Dijo Moisés: “¡Señor nuestro! Has concedido al Faraón y su nobleza suntuosidad y riqueza en la vida mundanal. ¡Señor nuestro! Eso ha hecho que se extravíen y desvíen a la gente de Tu camino. ¡Señor nuestro! Devasta sus riquezas y endurece sus corazones, porque no creerán hasta que vean el castigo doloroso”.

قَالَ

He said

qāla

قَدْ

Verily

qad

أُجِيبَت

has been answered

ujībat

دَّعْوَتُكُمَا

(the) invocation of both of you

daʿwatukumā

فَٱسْتَقِيمَا

So you two (keep to the) straight way

fa-is'taqīmā

وَلَا

And (do) not

walā

تَتَّبِعَآنِّ

follow

tattabiʿānni

سَبِيلَ

(the) way

sabīla

ٱلَّذِينَ

(of) those who

alladhīna

لَا

(do) not

lā

يَعْلَمُونَ

know

yaʿlamūna

٨٩

Dijo [Dios]: “El ruego que habéis hecho ha sido respondido. Sed rectos y no sigáis el camino de los ignorantes”.

۞ وَجَـٰوَزْنَا

And We took across

wajāwaznā

بِبَنِىٓ

(the) Children

bibanī

إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ

(of) Israel

is'rāīla

ٱلْبَحْرَ

the sea

l-baḥra

فَأَتْبَعَهُمْ

and followed them

fa-atbaʿahum

فِرْعَوْنُ

Firaun

fir'ʿawnu

وَجُنُودُهُۥ

and his hosts

wajunūduhu

بَغْيًۭا

(in) rebellion

baghyan

وَعَدْوًا ۖ

and enmity

waʿadwan

حَتَّىٰٓ

until

ḥattā

إِذَآ

when

idhā

أَدْرَكَهُ

overtook him

adrakahu

ٱلْغَرَقُ

the drowning

l-gharaqu

قَالَ

he said

qāla

ءَامَنتُ

I believe

āmantu

أَنَّهُۥ

that

annahu

لَآ

(there is) no

lā

إِلَـٰهَ

god

ilāha

إِلَّا

except

illā

ٱلَّذِىٓ

the One

alladhī

ءَامَنَتْ

in Whom believe

āmanat

بِهِۦ

in Whom believe

bihi

بَنُوٓا۟

the Children of Israel

banū

إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ

the Children of Israel

is'rāīla

وَأَنَا۠

and I am

wa-anā

مِنَ

of

mina

ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ

the Muslims

l-mus'limīna

٩٠

Hice que los Hijos de Israel cruzaran el mar. Pero el Faraón y su ejército los persiguieron injustamente, empujados por el odio. Cuando [el Faraón] sintió que se ahogaba y no tenía salvación, dijo: “Creo en una única divinidad como lo hace el pueblo de Israel, y a Él me entrego”.

ءَآلْـَٔـٰنَ

Now

āl'āna

وَقَدْ

And verily

waqad

عَصَيْتَ

you (had) disobeyed

ʿaṣayta

قَبْلُ

before

qablu

وَكُنتَ

and you were

wakunta

مِنَ

of

mina

ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ

the corrupters

l-muf'sidīna

٩١

¿Ahora crees? Mientras que antes eras de los rebeldes [a Dios] y de los que sembraban la corrupción.

فَٱلْيَوْمَ

So today

fal-yawma

نُنَجِّيكَ

We will save you

nunajjīka

بِبَدَنِكَ

in your body

bibadanika

لِتَكُونَ

that you may be

litakūna

لِمَنْ

for (those) who

liman

خَلْفَكَ

succeed you

khalfaka

ءَايَةًۭ ۚ

a sign

āyatan

وَإِنَّ

And indeed

wa-inna

كَثِيرًۭا

many

kathīran

مِّنَ

among

mina

ٱلنَّاسِ

the mankind

l-nāsi

عَنْ

of

ʿan

ءَايَـٰتِنَا

Our Signs

āyātinā

لَغَـٰفِلُونَ

(are) surely heedless

laghāfilūna

٩٢

Conservaré tu cuerpo [después de que te ahogues] y te convertirás en un signo para que reflexionen las generaciones que te sucedan. Pero muchas personas son indiferentes a Mis signos.

وَلَقَدْ

And verily

walaqad

بَوَّأْنَا

We settled

bawwanā

بَنِىٓ

(the) Children

banī

إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ

(of) Israel

is'rāīla

مُبَوَّأَ

(in) a settlement

mubawwa-a

صِدْقٍۢ

honorable

ṣid'qin

وَرَزَقْنَـٰهُم

and We provided them

warazaqnāhum

مِّنَ

with

mina

ٱلطَّيِّبَـٰتِ

the good things

l-ṭayibāti

فَمَا

and not

famā

ٱخْتَلَفُوا۟

they differ

ikh'talafū

حَتَّىٰ

until

ḥattā

جَآءَهُمُ

came to them

jāahumu

ٱلْعِلْمُ ۚ

the knowledge

l-ʿil'mu

إِنَّ

Indeed

inna

رَبَّكَ

your Lord

rabbaka

يَقْضِى

will judge

yaqḍī

بَيْنَهُمْ

between them

baynahum

يَوْمَ

(on) the Day

yawma

ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ

(of) the Resurrection

l-qiyāmati

فِيمَا

concerning what

fīmā

كَانُوا۟

they used (to)

kānū

فِيهِ

[in it]

fīhi

يَخْتَلِفُونَ

differ

yakhtalifūna

٩٣

Establecí al pueblo de Israel en un lugar próspero y lo sustenté con las cosas buenas de la vida. Pero cuando se les presentó la revelación, algunos creyeron y otros no. Tu Señor los juzgará el Día de la Resurrección acerca de lo que discrepaban.

فَإِن

So if

كُنتَ

you are

فِى

in

fī

شَكٍّۢ

doubt

shakkin

مِّمَّآ

of what

mimmā

أَنزَلْنَآ

We have revealed

anzalnā

إِلَيْكَ

to you

ilayka

فَسْـَٔلِ

then ask

fasali

ٱلَّذِينَ

those who

alladhīna

يَقْرَءُونَ

(have been) reading

yaqraūna

ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ

the Book

l-kitāba

مِن

before you

min

قَبْلِكَ ۚ

before you

qablika

لَقَدْ

Verily

laqad

جَآءَكَ

has come to you

jāaka

ٱلْحَقُّ

the truth

l-ḥaqu

مِن

from

min

رَّبِّكَ

your Lord

rabbika

فَلَا

so (do) not

falā

تَكُونَنَّ

be

takūnanna

مِنَ

among

mina

ٱلْمُمْتَرِينَ

the doubters

l-mum'tarīna

٩٤

[¡Oh, Muhámmad!] Si tienes alguna duda sobre lo que te ha sido revelado, pregúntales a quienes leían la revelación que te precedió. Te ha llegado la Verdad de tu Señor, no seas de los indecisos.

وَلَا

And (do) not

walā

تَكُونَنَّ

be

takūnanna

مِنَ

of

mina

ٱلَّذِينَ

those who

alladhīna

كَذَّبُوا۟

deny

kadhabū

بِـَٔايَـٰتِ

(the) Signs of Allah

biāyāti

ٱللَّهِ

(the) Signs of Allah

l-lahi

فَتَكُونَ

then you will be

fatakūna

مِنَ

among

mina

ٱلْخَـٰسِرِينَ

the losers

l-khāsirīna

٩٥

Y no seas como quienes desmintieron las palabras de Dios, porque te contarías entre los perdedores.

Indeed

inna

ٱلَّذِينَ

those [whom]

alladhīna

حَقَّتْ

has become due

ḥaqqat

عَلَيْهِمْ

on them

ʿalayhim

كَلِمَتُ

(the) Word

kalimatu

رَبِّكَ

(of) your Lord

rabbika

لَا

will not

lā

يُؤْمِنُونَ

believe

yu'minūna

٩٦

Aquellos sobre los que se ha confirmado la palabra de tu Señor no creerán,

Even if

جَآءَتْهُمْ

comes to them

jāathum

كُلُّ

every

kullu

ءَايَةٍ

Sign

āyatin

حَتَّىٰ

until

ḥattā

يَرَوُا۟

they see

yarawū

ٱلْعَذَابَ

the punishment

l-ʿadhāba

ٱلْأَلِيمَ

the painful

l-alīma

٩٧

aunque les llegara todo tipo de evidencia, hasta que finalmente les llegue el castigo doloroso.

فَلَوْلَا

So why not

كَانَتْ

was

kānat

قَرْيَةٌ

any town

qaryatun

ءَامَنَتْ

that believed

āmanat

فَنَفَعَهَآ

and benefited it

fanafaʿahā

إِيمَـٰنُهَآ

its faith

īmānuhā

إِلَّا

except

illā

قَوْمَ

the people

qawma

يُونُسَ

(of) Yunus

yūnusa

لَمَّآ

When

lammā

ءَامَنُوا۟

they believed

āmanū

كَشَفْنَا

We removed

kashafnā

عَنْهُمْ

from them

ʿanhum

عَذَابَ

(the) punishment

ʿadhāba

ٱلْخِزْىِ

(of) the disgrace

l-khiz'yi

فِى

in

fī

ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ

the life

l-ḥayati

ٱلدُّنْيَا

of the world

l-dun'yā

وَمَتَّعْنَـٰهُمْ

and We granted them enjoyment

wamattaʿnāhum

إِلَىٰ

for

ilā

حِينٍۢ

a time

ḥīnin

٩٨

No hubo pueblo que al momento de azotarles el castigo, les haya beneficiado creer en ese instante, excepto el pueblo de Jonás. Cuando creyeron les salvé del castigo humillante en esta vida y les dejé disfrutar algún tiempo más.

وَلَوْ

And if

walaw

شَآءَ

(had) willed

shāa

رَبُّكَ

your Lord

rabbuka

لَـَٔامَنَ

surely, (would) have believed

laāmana

مَن

who

man

فِى

(are) in

fī

ٱلْأَرْضِ

the earth

l-arḍi

كُلُّهُمْ

all of them

kulluhum

جَمِيعًا ۚ

together

jamīʿan

أَفَأَنتَ

Then, will you

afa-anta

تُكْرِهُ

compel

tuk'rihu

ٱلنَّاسَ

the mankind

l-nāsa

حَتَّىٰ

until

ḥattā

يَكُونُوا۟

they become

yakūnū

مُؤْمِنِينَ

believers

mu'minīna

٩٩

Si tu Señor hubiera querido [imponérseles], todos los habitantes de la Tierra habrían creído. ¿Y tú piensas que puedes obligar a la gente a ser creyente?

وَمَا

And not

wamā

كَانَ

is

kāna

لِنَفْسٍ

for a soul

linafsin

أَن

to

an

تُؤْمِنَ

believe

tu'mina

إِلَّا

except

illā

بِإِذْنِ

by (the) permission

bi-idh'ni

ٱللَّهِ ۚ

(of) Allah

l-lahi

وَيَجْعَلُ

And He will place

wayajʿalu

ٱلرِّجْسَ

the wrath

l-rij'sa

عَلَى

on

ʿalā

ٱلَّذِينَ

those who

alladhīna

لَا

(do) not

lā

يَعْقِلُونَ

use reason

yaʿqilūna

١٠٠

Nadie podrá creer a menos que Dios se lo permita, y Él dejará en el extravío a quienes no usen su razonamiento.

Say

quli

ٱنظُرُوا۟

See

unẓurū

مَاذَا

what

mādhā

فِى

(is) in

fī

ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ

the heavens

l-samāwāti

وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ

and the earth

wal-arḍi

وَمَا

But not

wamā

تُغْنِى

will avail

tugh'nī

ٱلْـَٔايَـٰتُ

the Signs

l-āyātu

وَٱلنُّذُرُ

and the warners

wal-nudhuru

عَن

to

ʿan

قَوْمٍۢ

a people

qawmin

لَّا

(who do) not

lā

يُؤْمِنُونَ

believe

yu'minūna

١٠١

Diles: “Reflexionad sobre todo cuanto hay en los cielos y en la Tierra”, pero no se benefician de los signos ni de las advertencias aquellos que se niegan a creer.

فَهَلْ

Then do

fahal

يَنتَظِرُونَ

they wait

yantaẓirūna

إِلَّا

except

illā

مِثْلَ

like

mith'la

أَيَّامِ

the days

ayyāmi

ٱلَّذِينَ

(of) those who

alladhīna

خَلَوْا۟

passed away

khalaw

مِن

before them

min

قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ

before them

qablihim

قُلْ

Say

qul

فَٱنتَظِرُوٓا۟

Then wait

fa-intaẓirū

إِنِّى

indeed, I (am)

innī

مَعَكُم

with you

maʿakum

مِّنَ

among

mina

ٱلْمُنتَظِرِينَ

the ones who wait

l-muntaẓirīna

١٠٢

¿Acaso esperan que lleguen días como los que cayeron sobre los pueblos que les precedieron? Diles: “Esperad, que yo también estaré con vosotros esperando.

ثُمَّ

Then

thumma

نُنَجِّى

We will save

nunajjī

رُسُلَنَا

Our Messengers

rusulanā

وَٱلَّذِينَ

and those who

wa-alladhīna

ءَامَنُوا۟ ۚ

believe

āmanū

كَذَٰلِكَ

Thus

kadhālika

حَقًّا

(it is) an obligation

ḥaqqan

عَلَيْنَا

upon Us

ʿalaynā

نُنجِ

(that) We save

nunji

ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

the believers

l-mu'minīna

١٠٣

[Pero cuando llega el castigo a un pueblo] doy socorro a Mis Mensajeros y a los que han creído, porque es Mi compromiso socorrer a los creyentes.

Say

qul

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا

O mankind

yāayyuhā

ٱلنَّاسُ

O mankind

l-nāsu

إِن

If

in

كُنتُمْ

you are

kuntum

فِى

in

fī

شَكٍّۢ

doubt

shakkin

مِّن

of

min

دِينِى

my religion

dīnī

فَلَآ

then not

falā

أَعْبُدُ

I worship

aʿbudu

ٱلَّذِينَ

those whom

alladhīna

تَعْبُدُونَ

you worship

taʿbudūna

مِن

besides Allah

min

دُونِ

besides Allah

dūni

ٱللَّهِ

besides Allah

l-lahi

وَلَـٰكِنْ

but

walākin

أَعْبُدُ

I worship

aʿbudu

ٱللَّهَ

Allah

l-laha

ٱلَّذِى

the One Who

alladhī

يَتَوَفَّىٰكُمْ ۖ

causes you to die

yatawaffākum

وَأُمِرْتُ

And I am commanded

wa-umir'tu

أَنْ

that

an

أَكُونَ

I be

akūna

مِنَ

of

mina

ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

the believers

l-mu'minīna

١٠٤

Di: “¡Oh, gente! Si dudáis de la religión que vivo, sabed que no adoro a los que adoráis fuera de Dios. Yo solo adoro a Dios, que es Quien os hará morir. A mí me ha sido ordenado ser de los creyentes,

And that

wa-an

أَقِمْ

Direct

aqim

وَجْهَكَ

your face

wajhaka

لِلدِّينِ

to the religion

lilddīni

حَنِيفًۭا

upright

ḥanīfan

وَلَا

and (do) not

walā

تَكُونَنَّ

be

takūnanna

مِنَ

of

mina

ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ

the polytheists

l-mush'rikīna

١٠٥

consagrarme a la religión monoteísta pura, y no ser de los que asocian divinidades [en la adoración] a Dios,

And (do) not

walā

تَدْعُ

invoke

tadʿu

مِن

besides Allah

min

دُونِ

besides Allah

dūni

ٱللَّهِ

besides Allah

l-lahi

مَا

what

mā

لَا

(will) not

lā

يَنفَعُكَ

benefit you

yanfaʿuka

وَلَا

and not

walā

يَضُرُّكَ ۖ

harm you

yaḍurruka

فَإِن

But if

fa-in

فَعَلْتَ

you did so

faʿalta

فَإِنَّكَ

indeed, you

fa-innaka

إِذًۭا

then (will be)

idhan

مِّنَ

of

mina

ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

the wrongdoers

l-ẓālimīna

١٠٦

y jamás invocar en vez de Dios lo que no puede beneficiarme ni perjudicarme, porque si lo hiciera sería de los injustos”.

وَإِن

And if

wa-in

يَمْسَسْكَ

Allah touches you

yamsaska

ٱللَّهُ

Allah touches you

l-lahu

بِضُرٍّۢ

with adversity

biḍurrin

فَلَا

(there is) no

falā

كَاشِفَ

remover

kāshifa

لَهُۥٓ

of it

lahu

إِلَّا

except

illā

هُوَ ۖ

Him

huwa

وَإِن

and if

wa-in

يُرِدْكَ

He intends for you

yurid'ka

بِخَيْرٍۢ

any good

bikhayrin

فَلَا

then (there is) no

falā

رَآدَّ

repeller

rādda

لِفَضْلِهِۦ ۚ

(of) His Bounty

lifaḍlihi

يُصِيبُ

He causes it to reach

yuṣību

بِهِۦ

He causes it to reach

bihi

مَن

whom

man

يَشَآءُ

He wills

yashāu

مِنْ

of

min

عِبَادِهِۦ ۚ

His slaves

ʿibādihi

وَهُوَ

And He

wahuwa

ٱلْغَفُورُ

(is) the Oft-Forgiving

l-ghafūru

ٱلرَّحِيمُ

the Most Merciful

l-raḥīmu

١٠٧

Si Dios te azota con una desgracia, nadie excepto Él podrá librarte de ella. Y si te concede un bien, nadie podrá impedir que te alcance. Dios concede Su gracia a quien quiere de Sus siervos. Él es el Absolvedor, el Misericordioso.

قُلْ

Say

qul

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا

O mankind

yāayyuhā

ٱلنَّاسُ

O mankind

l-nāsu

قَدْ

Verily

qad

جَآءَكُمُ

has come to you

jāakumu

ٱلْحَقُّ

the truth

l-ḥaqu

مِن

from

min

رَّبِّكُمْ ۖ

your Lord

rabbikum

فَمَنِ

So whoever

famani

ٱهْتَدَىٰ

(is) guided

ih'tadā

فَإِنَّمَا

then only

fa-innamā

يَهْتَدِى

(he is) guided

yahtadī

لِنَفْسِهِۦ ۖ

for his soul

linafsihi

وَمَن

and whoever

waman

ضَلَّ

goes astray

ḍalla

فَإِنَّمَا

then only

fa-innamā

يَضِلُّ

he strays

yaḍillu

عَلَيْهَا ۖ

against it

ʿalayhā

وَمَآ

And I am not

wamā

أَنَا۠

And I am not

anā

عَلَيْكُم

over you

ʿalaykum

بِوَكِيلٍۢ

a guardian

biwakīlin

١٠٨

Di: “¡Oh, gente! Os ha llegado la Verdad de vuestro Señor. Quien siga la guía lo hará en beneficio propio; pero quien se descarríe, solo se perjudicará a sí mismo. Yo no soy responsable de lo que hagáis”.

وَٱتَّبِعْ

And follow

wa-ittabiʿ

مَا

what

mā

يُوحَىٰٓ

is revealed

yūḥā

إِلَيْكَ

to you

ilayka

وَٱصْبِرْ

and be patient

wa-iṣ'bir

حَتَّىٰ

until

ḥattā

يَحْكُمَ

Allah gives judgment

yaḥkuma

ٱللَّهُ ۚ

Allah gives judgment

l-lahu

وَهُوَ

And He

wahuwa

خَيْرُ

(is) the Best

khayru

ٱلْحَـٰكِمِينَ

(of) the Judges

l-ḥākimīna

١٠٩

[¡Oh, Muhámmad!] Aférrate a lo que te ha sido revelado y sé paciente hasta que Dios juzgue. Él es el mejor de los jueces.
