وَجَآءَهُمْ

and came to them

wajāahum

رَسُولٌۭ

a Messenger

كَرِيمٌ

noble

Antes de ellos probé al pueblo del Faraón, cuando se les presentó un Mensajero noble,

exalt yourselves

[I] have come to you

بِسُلْطَـٰنٍۢ

with an authority

bisul'ṭānin

مُّبِينٍۢ

clear

mubīnin

١٩

No seáis soberbios con Dios. Os he presentado pruebas evidentes.

وَإِنِّى

And indeed, I

wa-innī

عُذْتُ

[I] seek refuge

ʿudh'tu

بِرَبِّى

with my Lord

وَرَبِّكُمْ

and your Lord

you stone me

tarjumūni

٢٠

Me refugio en mi Señor y el vuestro para que no me injurien.

تُؤْمِنُوا۟

فَٱعْتَزِلُونِ

Pero invocó a su Señor diciendo: “Éste es un pueblo de criminales”.

Then "Set out

بِعِبَادِى

with My slaves

لَيْلًا

(by) night

إِنَّكُم

Indeed, you

innakum

مُّتَّبَعُونَ

(will be) followed

٢٣

[Entonces Dios le respondió:] “Marcha con Mis siervos por la noche, pero sabe que ellos van a perseguiros.

وَٱتْرُكِ

And leave

wa-ut'ruki

ٱلْبَحْرَ

the sea

رَهْوًا ۖ

at rest

إِنَّهُمْ

Indeed, they

جُندٌۭ

مُّغْرَقُونَ

(to be) drowned

mugh'raqūna

٢٤

Deja el mar [después de que se haya abierto para ti] tal como está, que el ejército será ahogado.

وَعُيُونٍۢ

Cuántos huertos y manantiales abandonaron,

And cornfields

وَمَقَامٍۢ

And pleasant things

كَانُوا۟

they used to

فِيهَا

فَـٰكِهِينَ

كَذَٰلِكَ ۖ

Thus

وَأَوْرَثْنَـٰهَا

And We made it (an) inherit(ance)

wa-awrathnāhā

قَوْمًا

(for) a people

ءَاخَرِينَ

Así fue. Pero se lo di en herencia a otro pueblo.

And not

بَكَتْ

كَانُوا۟

the worlds

[Al pueblo de Israel,] basado en un conocimiento, lo elegí entre sus contemporáneos,

And We gave them

waātaynāhum

مِّنَ

mina

ٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِ

the Signs

(was) a trial

balāon

مُّبِينٌ

clear

mubīnun

٣٣

“Solo moriremos una vez, y no seremos resucitados.

our forefathers

كُنتُمْ

صَـٰدِقِينَ

Resucita a nuestros padres, si es que eres veraz”.

We destroyed them

إِنَّهُمْ

indeed, they

كَانُوا۟

مُجْرِمِينَ

criminals

muj'rimīna

٣٧

¿Acaso ellos son mejores que los pueblos que he destruido, como el pueblo de Tubba’ y los que les precedieron? Todos ellos fueron criminales.

We created

ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ

the heavens

وَٱلْأَرْضَ

and the earth

(is) between them

baynahumā

لَـٰعِبِينَ

(in) play

lāʿibīna

٣٨

No he creado a los cielos, la Tierra y todo lo que hay entre ellos como un simple juego.

the righteous

Pero los piadosos estarán en una situación segura,

Wearing garments

fine silk

وَإِسْتَبْرَقٍۢ

and heavy silk

مُّتَقَـٰبِلِينَ

facing each other

mutaqābilīna

٥٣

Vestirán fina seda y brocado, y se sentarán unos frente a otros.

كَذَٰلِكَ

Thus

kadhālika

وَزَوَّجْنَـٰهُم

And We will marry them

wazawwajnāhum

بِحُورٍ

(to) companions with beautiful eyes

biḥūrin

عِينٍۢ

(to) companions with beautiful eyes

ʿīnin

٥٤

Los desposaremos con huríes de grandes ojos.

يَدْعُونَ

They will call

yadʿūna

فِيهَا

therein

بِكُلِّ

for every (kind)

فَـٰكِهَةٍ

(of) fruit

ءَامِنِينَ

Allí podrán pedir toda clase de frutas. Estarán en total seguridad.

ٱلْأُولَىٰ ۖ

the first

l-ūlā

وَوَقَىٰهُمْ

And He will protect them

wawaqāhum

عَذَابَ

(from the) punishment

ʿadhāba

ٱلْجَحِيمِ

(of) the Hellfire

٥٦

No experimentarán otra vez la muerte, salvo la que ya conocieron. Él los preservará del castigo infernal.

فَضْلًۭا

A Bounty

faḍlan

مِّن

your Lord

ٱلْعَظِيمُ

the great

l-ʿaẓīmu

Ese es el favor de tu Señor. ¡Ese es el gran éxito!

فَإِنَّمَا

Indeed

fa-innamā

يَسَّرْنَـٰهُ

We have made it easy

yassarnāhu

بِلِسَانِكَ

in your tongue

bilisānika

لَعَلَّهُمْ

so that they may

laʿallahum

يَتَذَكَّرُونَ

take heed

yatadhakkarūna

٥٨

فَٱرْتَقِبْ

So watch

fa-ir'taqib

إِنَّهُم

indeed, they

innahum

مُّرْتَقِبُونَ

(too are) watching

mur'taqibūna
