El Envuelto en El Manto

المزمل
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا O you yāayyuhā who wraps himself l-muzamilu
¡Oh, tú [Muhámmad] que estás arropado!
قُمِ Stand qumi (in) the night al-layla except illā a little qalīlan
Levántate a orar en la noche, salvo una pequeña parte de ella,
نِّصْفَهُۥٓ Half of it niṣ'fahu or awi lessen unquṣ from it min'hu a little qalīlan
la mitad, o un poco menos,
أَوْ Or aw add zid to it ʿalayhi and recite warattili the Quran l-qur'āna (with) measured rhythmic recitation tartīlan
o un poco más, y recita el Corán claramente y meditando en su significado.
إِنَّا Indeed, We innā will cast sanul'qī upon you ʿalayka a Word qawlan heavy thaqīlan
Porque he de transmitirte una revelación de gran peso.
إِنَّ Indeed inna (the) rising nāshi-ata (at) the night al-layli it hiya (is) very hard ashaddu and most potent waṭan and more suitable wa-aqwamu (for) Word qīlan
Si te levantas a orar en el seno de la noche encontrarás mayor quietud y podrás concentrarte mejor,
إِنَّ Indeed inna for you laka in fī the day l-nahāri (is) occupation sabḥan prolonged ṭawīlan
pues durante el día tienes muchas ocupaciones.
وَٱذْكُرِ And remember wa-udh'kuri (the) name is'ma (of) your Lord rabbika and devote yourself watabattal to Him ilayhi (with) devotion tabtīlan
Celebra el nombre de tu Señor y conságrate a Él con total devoción.
رَّبُّ (The) Lord rabbu (of) the east l-mashriqi and the west wal-maghribi (there is) no lā god ilāha except illā Him huwa so take Him fa-ittakhidh'hu (as) Disposer of Affairs wakīlan
Él es el Señor del oriente y del occidente. No hay nada ni nadie con derecho a ser adorado salvo Él. Tómalo como tu protector.
وَٱصْبِرْ And be patient wa-iṣ'bir over ʿalā what mā they say yaqūlūna and avoid them wa-uh'jur'hum an avoidance hajran gracious jamīlan
Ten paciencia con lo que dicen [insultándote], pero apártate de ellos discretamente.
وَذَرْنِى And leave Me wadharnī and the deniers wal-mukadhibīna possessors ulī (of) the ease l-naʿmati and allow them respite wamahhil'hum a little qalīlan
Deja que Yo me ocupe de los que niegan la verdad, los que ahora tienen opulencia. Tenles paciencia brevemente.
إِنَّ Indeed inna with Us ladaynā (are) shackles ankālan and burning fire wajaḥīman
[Porque] dispongo de cadenas y del fuego del Infierno [para castigarles],
وَطَعَامًۭا And food waṭaʿāman that dhā chokes ghuṣṣatin and a punishment waʿadhāban painful alīman
de una comida que [por su repugnancia] se atraganta, un castigo doloroso.
يَوْمَ (On the) Day yawma will quake tarjufu the earth l-arḍu and the mountains wal-jibālu and will become wakānati the mountains l-jibālu a heap of sand kathīban pouring down mahīlan
El día que la tierra y las montañas convulsionen, y las montañas se conviertan en arena dispersa.
إِنَّآ Indeed, We innā [We] have sent arsalnā to you ilaykum a Messenger rasūlan (as) a witness shāhidan upon you ʿalaykum as kamā We sent arsalnā to ilā Firaun fir'ʿawna a Messenger rasūlan
[¡Oh, gente!] Os he enviado un Mensajero para que dé testimonio de la verdad ante vosotros, tal como antes había enviado un Mensajero al Faraón.
فَعَصَىٰ But disobeyed faʿaṣā Firaun fir'ʿawnu the Messenger l-rasūla so We seized him fa-akhadhnāhu (with) a seizure akhdhan ruinous wabīlan
[Pero] el Faraón desmintió al Mensajero y por eso le castigué duramente.
فَكَيْفَ Then how fakayfa will you guard yourselves tattaqūna if in you disbelieve kafartum a Day yawman (that) will make yajʿalu the children l-wil'dāna gray-haired shīban
Si no creéis, no podréis libraros del castigo del día terrible [del Juicio], que hará encanecer hasta a los niños.
ٱلسَّمَآءُ The heaven al-samāu (will) break apart munfaṭirun therefrom bihi is kāna His Promise waʿduhu to be fulfilled mafʿūlan
El cosmos se romperá y Su promesa se cumplirá.
إِنَّ Indeed inna this hādhihi (is) a Reminder tadhkiratun then whoever faman wills shāa (let him) take ittakhadha to ilā his Lord rabbihi a way sabīlan
Esto es una advertencia real; en consecuencia, quien quiera que emprenda un camino hacia su Señor.
۞ إِنَّ Indeed inna your Lord rabbaka knows yaʿlamu that you annaka stand taqūmu (a little) less adnā than min two-thirds thuluthayi (of) the night al-layli and half of it waniṣ'fahu and a third of it wathuluthahu and (so do) a group waṭāifatun of mina those who alladhīna (are) with you maʿaka And Allah wal-lahu determines yuqaddiru the night al-layla and the day wal-nahāra He knows ʿalima that an not lan you count it tuḥ'ṣūhu so He has turned fatāba to you ʿalaykum so recite fa-iq'raū what mā is easy tayassara of mina the Quran l-qur'āni He knows ʿalima that an there will be sayakūnu among you minkum sick marḍā and others waākharūna traveling yaḍribūna in fī the land l-arḍi seeking yabtaghūna of min (the) Bounty faḍli (of) Allah l-lahi and others waākharūna fighting yuqātilūna in fī (the) way sabīli (of) Allah l-lahi So recite fa-iq'raū what mā is easy tayassara of it min'hu and establish wa-aqīmū the prayer l-ṣalata and give waātū the zakah l-zakata and loan wa-aqriḍū Allah l-laha a loan qarḍan goodly ḥasanan And whatever wamā you send forth tuqaddimū for yourselves li-anfusikum of min good khayrin you will find it tajidūhu with ʿinda Allah l-lahi It huwa (will be) better khayran and greater wa-aʿẓama (in) reward ajran And seek forgiveness wa-is'taghfirū (of) Allah l-laha Indeed inna Allah l-laha (is) Oft-Forgiving ghafūrun Most Merciful raḥīmun
Tu Señor bien sabe que te levantas a orar casi dos tercios de la noche, otras la mitad o un tercio de ella, así como lo hacen algunos de los creyentes que te siguen. Dios es Quien determina cuánto dura la noche y el día, sabe que no pueden hacerlo siempre, por lo que os perdona aligerando vuestra obligación. Así que recitad durante la oración lo que sepáis del Corán. Dios sabe que habrá entre vosotros alguien enfermo [al que se le dificulte la oración], otros que estén de viaje recorriendo la tierra en busca del sustento de Dios, y otros combatiendo por Su causa. Así que recitad durante la oración de lo que sepáis del Corán. Cumplid con la oración obligatoria y pagad el zakat. Prestad a la causa de Dios generosamente, porque toda obra de bien que hagáis será en favor de vosotros mismos, y Dios os recompensará grandemente. Pedid a Dios el perdón [de vuestras faltas y omisiones] porque Él es Absolvedor, Misericordioso.
