الصافات

وَٱلصَّـٰٓفَّـٰتِ

By those lined

wal-ṣāfāti

صَفًّۭا

(in) rows

ṣaffan

١

Juro por [los ángeles] ordenados en filas,

فَٱلزَّٰجِرَٰتِ

And those who drive

fal-zājirāti

زَجْرًۭا

strongly

zajran

٢

que advierten

فَٱلتَّـٰلِيَـٰتِ

And those who recite

fal-tāliyāti

ذِكْرًا

(the) Message

dhik'ran

٣

y recitan el Mensaje.

إِنَّ

Indeed

inna

إِلَـٰهَكُمْ

your Lord

ilāhakum

لَوَٰحِدٌۭ

(is) surely One

lawāḥidun

٤

Que vuestra divinidad es una sola,

رَّبُّ

Lord

rabbu

ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ

(of) the heavens

l-samāwāti

وَٱلْأَرْضِ

and the earth

wal-arḍi

وَمَا

and what

wamā

بَيْنَهُمَا

(is) between both of them

baynahumā

وَرَبُّ

and Lord

warabbu

ٱلْمَشَـٰرِقِ

(of) each point of sunrise

l-mashāriqi

٥

el Señor de los cielos, de la Tierra, de todo cuanto existe entre ellos; el Señor de los amaneceres.

Indeed, We

زَيَّنَّا

[We] adorned

zayyannā

ٱلسَّمَآءَ

the sky

ٱلدُّنْيَا

بِزِينَةٍ

with an adornment

ٱلْكَوَاكِبِ

(of) the stars

l-kawākibi

٦

He adornado el cielo más bajo con los astros

And (to) guard

مِّن

against

كُلِّ

شَيْطَـٰنٍۢ

وَيُقْذَفُونَ

are pelted

مِن

from

كُلِّ

every

جَانِبٍۢ

side

jānibin

٨

para que no puedan escuchar lo que revelo a la asamblea más elevada [de ángeles y para que, si lo intentan,] les sean arrojados [los astros] por todas partes,

Repelled

وَلَهُمْ

and for them

عَذَابٌۭ

(is) a punishment

وَاصِبٌ

Aquellos que furtivamente alcancen a oír algo de los ángeles serán alcanzados por una centella fulminante.

فَٱسْتَفْتِهِمْ

Then ask them

أَهُمْ

Are they

أَشَدُّ

a stronger

خَلْقًا

خَلَقْنَآ ۚ

We have created

khalaqnā

إِنَّا

Indeed, We

innā

خَلَقْنَـٰهُم

created them

khalaqnāhum

مِّن

from

طِينٍۢ

a clay

ṭīnin

لَّازِبٍۭ

sticky

lāzibin

١١

Pregúntales [a quienes desmienten la Resurrección]: “¿Acaso creen que la creación del ser humano fue más difícil que la del resto [del universo]?” Los creé de barro pegajoso.

Nay

عَجِبْتَ

you wonder

ʿajib'ta

وَيَسْخَرُونَ

while they mock

wayaskharūna

١٢

Tú te maravillas, pero ellos se burlan,

And when

wa-idhā

ذُكِّرُوا۟

they are reminded

dhukkirū

لَا

not

lā

يَذْكُرُونَ

they receive admonition

١٣

And when

wa-idhā

رَأَوْا۟

they see

ءَايَةًۭ

a Sign

يَسْتَسْخِرُونَ

And they say

إِنْ

Not

هَـٰذَآ

(is) this

إِلَّا

سِحْرٌۭ

a magic

مُّبِينٌ

Y dicen: “Esto no es más que hechicería evidente,

أَءِذَا

Is it when

a-idhā

مِتْنَا

we are dead

mit'nā

وَكُنَّا

and have become

wakunnā

تُرَابًۭا

dust

turāban

وَعِظَـٰمًا

and bones

waʿiẓāman

أَءِنَّا

shall we then

a-innā

لَمَبْعُوثُونَ

be certainly resurrected

lamabʿūthūna

١٦

¿acaso cuando muramos y seamos polvo y huesos, seremos resucitados?

أَوَءَابَآؤُنَا

Or our fathers

awaābāunā

ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ

former

١٧

¿Acaso nuestros antepasados también [serán resucitados]?”

Yes

وَأَنتُمْ

and you

wa-antum

دَٰخِرُونَ

(will be) humiliated

Diles [¡Oh, Muhámmad!]: “Sí, y sufriréis una gran humillación”.

فَإِنَّمَا

Then only

fa-innamā

هِىَ

it

hiya

زَجْرَةٌۭ

(will be) a cry

zajratun

وَٰحِدَةٌۭ

single

wāḥidatun

فَإِذَا

then, behold

fa-idhā

هُمْ

They

hum

يَنظُرُونَ

will see

yanẓurūna

١٩

Solo bastará que se sople una vez [la trompeta y resucitarán], y entonces comenzarán a observar

وَقَالُوا۟

And they will say

waqālū

يَـٰوَيْلَنَا

O woe to us

yāwaylanā

هَـٰذَا

This

hādhā

يَوْمُ

(is the) Day

yawmu

ٱلدِّينِ

(of) the Recompense

l-dīni

٢٠

y dirán: “¡Ay de nosotros! En este día deberemos rendir cuentas [por nuestras obras]”.

This

يَوْمُ

(is the) Day

yawmu

ٱلْفَصْلِ

(of) Judgment

l-faṣli

ٱلَّذِى

which

alladhī

كُنتُم

you used to

bihi

تُكَذِّبُونَ

deny

tukadhibūna

٢١

[Se les dirá:] “Este es el Día del Juicio que negabais”.

۞ ٱحْشُرُوا۟

Gather

uḥ'shurū

ٱلَّذِينَ

those who

alladhīna

ظَلَمُوا۟

wronged

ẓalamū

وَأَزْوَٰجَهُمْ

and their kinds

wa-azwājahum

وَمَا

and what

wamā

كَانُوا۟

they used (to)

kānū

يَعْبُدُونَ

worship

yaʿbudūna

٢٢

[Se les ordenará a los ángeles:] “Congregad a quienes fueron [idólatras y] cometieron injusticias junto con sus pares [en la incredulidad] y a los [ídolos] que adoraban

ٱللَّهِ

Allah

فَٱهْدُوهُمْ

then lead them

fa-ih'dūhum

إِلَىٰ

to

ilā

صِرَٰطِ

(the) Path

ṣirāṭi

ٱلْجَحِيمِ

(of) the Hellfire

l-jaḥīmi

٢٣

en lugar de Dios, luego arrojadlos por el camino que los conducirá al Infierno,

وَقِفُوهُمْ ۖ

And stop them

waqifūhum

إِنَّهُم

indeed, they

innahum

مَّسْـُٔولُونَ

(are) to be questioned

masūlūna

٢٤

pero detenedlos [antes de arrojarlos] porque serán interrogados.

you help one another

[Se les preguntará:] “¿Qué sucede que no os ayudáis unos a otros?”

ٱلْيَوْمَ

(on) that Day

مُسْتَسْلِمُونَ

(will) surrender

٢٦

Pero ese día estarán entregados,

وَأَقْبَلَ

And will approach

wa-aqbala

بَعْضُهُمْ

some of them

baʿḍuhum

عَلَىٰ

to

ʿalā

بَعْضٍۢ

others

baʿḍin

يَتَسَآءَلُونَ

questioning one another

yatasāalūna

٢٧

y comenzarán a reclamarse unos a otros.

قَالُوٓا۟

They will say

إِنَّكُمْ

Indeed, you

innakum

كُنتُمْ

[you] used (to)

kuntum

تَأْتُونَنَا

come (to) us

tatūnanā

عَنِ

from

ٱلْيَمِينِ

the right

l-yamīni

٢٨

Dirán [a sus ídolos]: “Vosotros, con vuestro poder, nos forzasteis a seguiros”.

قَالُوا۟

They will say

Nay

لَّمْ

not

lam

تَكُونُوا۟

you were

takūnū

مُؤْمِنِينَ

believers

mu'minīna

٢٩

Pero [los ídolos] responderán: “No, simplemente no fuisteis creyentes [en Dios y nos idolatraron],

وَمَا

And not

wamā

كَانَ

was

kāna

لَنَا

for us

lanā

عَلَيْكُم

over you

ʿalaykum

مِّن

any

min

سُلْطَـٰنٍۭ ۖ

authority

بَلْ

Nay

bal

كُنتُمْ

you were

kuntum

قَوْمًۭا

a people

qawman

طَـٰغِينَ

transgressing

ṭāghīna

٣٠

pues nosotros no teníamos poder alguno sobre vosotros [y elegisteis libremente la incredulidad]; fuisteis un pueblo transgresor.

فَحَقَّ

So has been proved true

faḥaqqa

عَلَيْنَا

against us

ʿalaynā

قَوْلُ

(the) Word

رَبِّنَآ ۖ

(of) our Lord

rabbinā

إِنَّا

indeed, we

لَذَآئِقُونَ

(will) certainly taste

ladhāiqūna

٣١

Hoy se cumple la amenaza que Nuestro Señor nos hizo, y sufriremos el castigo [por nuestra incredulidad].

فَأَغْوَيْنَـٰكُمْ

So we led you astray

fa-aghwaynākum

إِنَّا

indeed, we

innā

كُنَّا

were

kunnā

غَـٰوِينَ

astray

ghāwīna

٣٢

Nosotros solo os sedujimos y vosotros nos seguisteis, desviándoos igual que nosotros”.

فَإِنَّهُمْ

Then indeed, they

fa-innahum

يَوْمَئِذٍۢ

that Day

yawma-idhin

فِى

in

fī

ٱلْعَذَابِ

the punishment

l-ʿadhābi

مُشْتَرِكُونَ

(will be) sharers

mush'tarikūna

٣٣

[Entonces Dios dirá:] “Todos vosotros compartiréis el castigo.

Indeed, We

كَذَٰلِكَ

thus

kadhālika

نَفْعَلُ

We deal

nafʿalu

بِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ

with the criminals

bil-muj'rimīna

٣٤

Indeed, they

كَانُوٓا۟

were

إِذَا

it was said

(There is) no

إِلَّا

except

illā

ٱللَّهُ

Allah

l-lahu

يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ

were arrogant

yastakbirūna

٣٥

Cuando se les decía: “No hay nada ni nadie con derecho a ser adorado salvo Dios”, respondían con arrogancia

And they say

أَئِنَّا

Are we

a-innā

لَتَارِكُوٓا۟

to leave

latārikū

ءَالِهَتِنَا

our gods

ālihatinā

لِشَاعِرٍۢ

for a poet

lishāʿirin

مَّجْنُونٍۭ

mad

majnūnin

٣٦

diciendo: “¿Acaso vamos a dejar a nuestros ídolos por las palabras de un poeta loco?”

Nay

جَآءَ

he has brought

بِٱلْحَقِّ

the truth

bil-ḥaqi

وَصَدَّقَ

and confirmed

waṣaddaqa

ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

the Messengers

l-mur'salīna

٣٧

[Dios les dirá:] “Él se presentó con la Verdad, y corroboró el Mensaje de los Profetas que lo precedieron”.

إِنَّكُمْ

Indeed, you

لَذَآئِقُوا۟

(will) surely taste

ladhāiqū

ٱلْعَذَابِ

the punishment

ٱلْأَلِيمِ

Vosotros [que rechazasteis el Mensaje] sufriréis un castigo doloroso.

تُجْزَوْنَ

you will be recompensed

Pero sabed que solo se os retribuirá por lo que [vosotros mismos] hicisteis

Los frutos que deseen, y serán honrados

Gardens

ٱلنَّعِيمِ

(of) Delight

en los Jardines de las Delicias,

سُرُرٍۢ

thrones

sururin

مُّتَقَـٰبِلِينَ

facing each other

mutaqābilīna

٤٤

donde estarán reclinados sobre sofás, unos frente a otros.

Will be circulated

عَلَيْهِم

among them

ʿalayhim

بِكَأْسٍۢ

a cup

مِّن

مَّعِينٍۭ

a flowing spring

Y [bellos sirvientes] circularán entre ellos con una copa de un manantial eterno,

لِّلشَّـٰرِبِينَ

for the drinkers

(will be) companions of modest gaze

ٱلطَّرْفِ

(having) beautiful eyes

ʿīnun

٤٨

También tendrán mujeres [huríes] de mirar recatado, y de ojos hermosos y grandes,

As if they were

بَيْضٌۭ

eggs

مَّكْنُونٌۭ

well protected

como si fueran perlas celosamente guardadas.

And (will) approach

بَعْضُهُمْ

some of them

عَلَىٰ

Y se preguntarán [los creyentes en el Paraíso] unos a los otros.

Are you indeed

ٱلْمُصَدِّقِينَ

those who believe

que me decía: ¿Acaso tú eres de los que creen en la Resurrección?

مِتْنَا

we have died

وَكُنَّا

and become

تُرَابًۭا

وَعِظَـٰمًا

and bones

will we

a-innā

لَمَدِينُونَ

surely be brought to Judgment

lamadīnūna

٥٣

¿Acaso después de morir y convertirnos en tierra y huesos vamos a ser condenados?”

مُّطَّلِعُونَ

Dirá [el creyente a sus compañeros del Paraíso]: “¿Queréis observar [el Infierno a ver qué ha sido de él]?”

Then he (will) look

fa-iṭṭalaʿa

فَرَءَاهُ

and see him

faraāhu

فِى

in

fī

سَوَآءِ

(the) midst

sawāi

ٱلْجَحِيمِ

(of) the Hellfire

٥٥

Y cuando observe lo verá [a quien era su compañero] en medio del fuego del Infierno.

By Allah

tal-lahi

إِن

verily

كِدتَّ

you almost

kidtta

لَتُرْدِينِ

ruined me

Entonces le dirá: “¡Por Dios! Poco faltó para que me arruinaras,

And if not

نِعْمَةُ

(for the) Grace

niʿ'matu

رَبِّى

(of) my Lord

لَكُنتُ

certainly, I (would) have been

مِنَ

ٱلْمُحْضَرِينَ

those brought

l-muḥ'ḍarīna

٥٧

y de no ser por la gracia de mi Señor, habría sido uno de los condenados.

we

بِمَيِّتِينَ

(to) die

Ahora no hemos de morir

ٱلْأُولَىٰ

وَمَا

نَحْنُ

l-zaqūmi

٦٢

¿Qué es mejor, esta morada [del Paraíso] o el árbol de Zaqqum?,

Indeed, We

جَعَلْنَـٰهَا

[We] have made it

jaʿalnāhā

فِتْنَةًۭ

a trial

fit'natan

لِّلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

for the wrongdoers

Indeed, it

(of) the Hellfire

l-jaḥīmi

٦٤

Es un árbol que crece en lo más profundo del Infierno;

Its emerging fruit

كَأَنَّهُۥ

(is) as if it

ka-annahu

رُءُوسُ

(was) heads

ٱلشَّيَـٰطِينِ

sus frutos son como cabezas de demonios.

فَإِنَّهُمْ

And indeed, they

لَـَٔاكِلُونَ

(will) surely eat

مِنْهَا

from it

فَمَالِـُٔونَ

and fill

ٱلْبُطُونَ

(their) bellies

l-buṭūna

٦٦

De él comerán y llenarán sus vientres [los condenados].

عَلَيْهَا

in it

لَشَوْبًۭا

(is) a mixture

boiling water

ḥamīmin

٦٧

Luego beberán una mezcla de agua hirviente,

إِنَّ

indeed

inna

مَرْجِعَهُمْ

their return

marjiʿahum

لَإِلَى

(will) surely be to

la-ilā

ٱلْجَحِيمِ

the Hellfire

y serán regresados al fuego.

Indeed, they

أَلْفَوْا۟

ءَابَآءَهُمْ

Ellos [en la vida mundanal] encontraron que sus padres estaban descarriados,

And verily

ضَلَّ

went astray

قَبْلَهُمْ

أَكْثَرُ

La mayoría de los pueblos que les precedieron también se habían extraviado.

وَلَقَدْ

And verily

walaqad

أَرْسَلْنَا

We sent

arsalnā

فِيهِم

among them

مُّنذِرِينَ

warners

mundhirīna

٧٢

Por ello les envié [Profetas] amonestadores.

فَٱنظُرْ

Then see

fa-unẓur

كَيْفَ

how

kayfa

كَانَ

was

kāna

عَـٰقِبَةُ

(the) end

ʿāqibatu

ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ

(of) those who were warned

٧٣

Pero observa dónde terminaron aquellos que fueron advertidos,

Except

عِبَادَ

ٱللَّهِ

ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ

the chosen ones

And verily

نَادَىٰنَا

called Us

نُوحٌۭ

Nuh

nūḥun

فَلَنِعْمَ

ٱلْمُجِيبُونَ

(are We as) Responders

l-mujībūna

٧٥

Cuando Noé Me invocó, ¡y qué mejor que invocar a Quien responde todas las súplicas!,

وَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُ

And We saved him

wanajjaynāhu

وَأَهْلَهُۥ

and his family

wa-ahlahu

مِنَ

from

mina

ٱلْكَرْبِ

the distress

the great

l-ʿaẓīmi

٧٦

le salvé a él y a su familia de la gran angustia,

وَجَعَلْنَا

And We made

wajaʿalnā

ذُرِّيَّتَهُۥ

his offspring

هُمُ

ٱلْبَاقِينَ

e hice que su descendencia fueran los sobrevivientes.

And We left

عَلَيْهِ

the later generations

¡Que la paz sea con Noé entre todas las criaturas!

Indeed, We

كَذَٰلِكَ

نَجْزِى

[We] reward

najzī

ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ

the good-doers

Así es como recompenso a los que hacen el bien.

Indeed, he

مِنْ

(was) of

عِبَادِنَا

Our slaves

ʿibādinā

ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

أَغْرَقْنَا

We drowned

And indeed

شِيعَتِهِۦ

his kind

about (the) Lord

Then he glanced

نَظْرَةًۭ

a glance

فِى

ٱلنُّجُومِ

the stars

Entonces echó una mirada a las estrellas,

فَقَالَ

And he said

faqāla

إِنِّى

Indeed, I am

innī

سَقِيمٌۭ

sick

saqīmun

٨٩

y exclamó: “Estoy enfermo”.

فَتَوَلَّوْا۟

So they turned away

عَنْهُ

from him

ʿanhu

مُدْبِرِينَ

departing

mud'birīna

٩٠

Entonces le abandonaron dándole la espalda.

فَرَاغَ

Then he turned

farāgha

إِلَىٰٓ

to

ilā

ءَالِهَتِهِمْ

their gods

ālihatihim

فَقَالَ

and said

أَلَا

Do not

تَأْكُلُونَ

you eat

[Abraham] se dirigió hacia los ídolos [de su pueblo] y dijo: “¿Por qué no coméis?

What (is)

لَكُمْ

for you

تَنطِقُونَ

you speak

¿Por qué no pronunciáis palabra?”

عَلَيْهِمْ

upon them

ضَرْبًۢا

striking

ḍarban

بِٱلْيَمِينِ

with the right hand

فَأَقْبَلُوٓا۟

Then they advanced

إِلَيْهِ

towards him

يَزِفُّونَ

[Abraham les dijo:] “¿Acaso adoráis lo que vosotros mismos talláis?

وَٱللَّهُ

While Allah

خَلَقَكُمْ

created you

وَمَا

and what

wamā

تَعْمَلُونَ

you make

Dios es Quien os ha creado a vosotros y a vuestras acciones”.

They said

Build

لَهُۥ

فَأَلْقُوهُ

ٱلْجَحِيمِ

the blazing Fire

l-jaḥīmi

٩٧

Dijeron: “Construiremos una hoguera y te arrojaremos al fuego llameante”.

فَأَرَادُوا۟

And they intended

fa-arādū

بِهِۦ

for him

bihi

كَيْدًۭا

a plot

kaydan

فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمُ

but We made them

fajaʿalnāhumu

ٱلْأَسْفَلِينَ

the lowest

l-asfalīna

٩٨

Tramaron contra él, pero Dios [desbarató sus planes y] les humilló.

وَقَالَ

And he said

waqāla

إِنِّى

Indeed, I am

innī

ذَاهِبٌ

going

dhāhibun

إِلَىٰ

to

ilā

رَبِّى

my Lord

rabbī

سَيَهْدِينِ

He will guide me

٩٩

Dijo [Abraham]: “Emigraré a donde mi Señor me ordene. ¡Él me guiará!

ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ

the righteous

فَبَشَّرْنَـٰهُ

So We gave him the glad tidings

بِغُلَـٰمٍ

of a boy

bighulāmin

حَلِيمٍۢ

forbearing

ḥalīmin

Le anuncié que le daría un niño sensato.

فَلَمَّا

Then when

falammā

بَلَغَ

he reached

balagha

مَعَهُ

the (age of) working with him

maʿahu

ٱلسَّعْىَ

the (age of) working with him

قَالَ

he said

qāla

يَـٰبُنَىَّ

O my son

yābunayya

إِنِّىٓ

Indeed, I

innī

أَرَىٰ

have seen

arā

فِى

in

fī

ٱلْمَنَامِ

the dream

l-manāmi

أَنِّىٓ

that I am

annī

أَذْبَحُكَ

sacrificing you

adhbaḥuka

فَٱنظُرْ

so look

fa-unẓur

مَاذَا

what

mādhā

تَرَىٰ ۚ

you see

tarā

قَالَ

He said

qāla

يَـٰٓأَبَتِ

O my father

yāabati

ٱفْعَلْ

Do

if'ʿal

مَا

what

mā

تُؤْمَرُ ۖ

you are commanded

tu'maru

سَتَجِدُنِىٓ

You will find me

satajidunī

إِن

if

in

شَآءَ

Allah wills

shāa

ٱللَّهُ

Allah wills

l-lahu

مِنَ

of

mina

ٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ

the patient ones

l-ṣābirīna

١٠٢

Cuando [Ismael] alcanzó la pubertad, [Abraham] le dijo: “¡Oh, hijito mío! He visto en sueños que te sacrificaba; dime, qué opinas”. Le dijo:

فَلَمَّآ

Then when

falammā

أَسْلَمَا

both of them had submitted

aslamā

وَتَلَّهُۥ

and he put him down

watallahu

لِلْجَبِينِ

upon his forehead

lil'jabīni

١٠٣

Cuando ambos se resignaron, y [Abraham] le puso la frente [a Ismael contra el suelo para sacrificarlo],

وَنَـٰدَيْنَـٰهُ

And We called out to him

wanādaynāhu

أَن

that

an

يَـٰٓإِبْرَٰهِيمُ

O Ibrahim

yāib'rāhīmu

١٠٤

Le llamé: “¡Oh, Abraham!

قَدْ

Verily

qad

صَدَّقْتَ

you have fulfilled

ṣaddaqta

ٱلرُّءْيَآ ۚ

the vision

l-ru'yā

إِنَّا

Indeed, We

innā

كَذَٰلِكَ

thus

kadhālika

نَجْزِى

[We] reward

najzī

ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ

the good-doers

l-muḥ'sinīna

١٠٥

Has cumplido con lo que viste [en tus sueños]. Así recompenso a los que hacen el bien”.

Indeed

inna

هَـٰذَا

this

hādhā

لَهُوَ

(was) surely [it]

lahuwa

ٱلْبَلَـٰٓؤُا۟

the trial

l-balāu

ٱلْمُبِينُ

Esa fue una dura prueba.

وَفَدَيْنَـٰهُ

And We ransomed him

wafadaynāhu

بِذِبْحٍ

with a sacrifice

bidhib'ḥin

عَظِيمٍۢ

great

ʿaẓīmin

١٠٧

Pero le rescaté [a su hijo, ordenando a Abraham que sacrificara en su lugar un cordero] e hiciera una gran ofrenda,

وَتَرَكْنَا

And We left

wataraknā

عَلَيْهِ

for him

ʿalayhi

فِى

among

fī

ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ

the later generations

l-ākhirīna

١٠٨

the righteous

Lo albricié con [el nacimiento de] Isaac, quien sería un Profeta virtuoso.

وَبَـٰرَكْنَا

And We blessed

wabāraknā

عَلَيْهِ

him

ʿalayhi

وَعَلَىٰٓ

and [on]

waʿalā

إِسْحَـٰقَ ۚ

Isaac

is'ḥāqa

وَمِن

And of

wamin

ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا

their offspring

dhurriyyatihimā

مُحْسِنٌۭ

(are) good-doers

muḥ'sinun

وَظَالِمٌۭ

and unjust

waẓālimun

لِّنَفْسِهِۦ

to himself

linafsihi

مُبِينٌۭ

clear

mubīnun

١١٣

Lo bendije a él y a Isaac, y decreté que en su descendencia hubiera quien obrara el bien y quien fuera abiertamente [incrédulo e] injusto consigo mismo.

وَلَقَدْ

And verily

walaqad

مَنَنَّا

We conferred Favor

manannā

عَلَىٰ

upon

ʿalā

مُوسَىٰ

Musa

mūsā

وَهَـٰرُونَ

and Harun

wahārūna

١١٤

Agracié a Moisés y a Aarón,

وَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُمَا

And We saved both of them

wanajjaynāhumā

وَقَوْمَهُمَا

and their people

waqawmahumā

مِنَ

from

mina

ٱلْكَرْبِ

the distress

l-karbi

ٱلْعَظِيمِ

the great

l-ʿaẓīmi

١١٥

y les salvé junto con su pueblo de una gran angustia.

وَنَصَرْنَـٰهُمْ

And We helped them

wanaṣarnāhum

فَكَانُوا۟

so they became

fakānū

هُمُ

so they became

humu

ٱلْغَـٰلِبِينَ

the victors

Les socorrí, y fueron ellos los vencedores.

And We gave both of them

waātaynāhumā

ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ

the Book

وَهَدَيْنَـٰهُمَا

And We guided both of them

wahadaynāhumā

ٱلصِّرَٰطَ

(to) the Path

l-ṣirāṭa

ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمَ

the Straight

l-mus'taqīma

١١٨

y les guie por el sendero recto.

And We left

عَلَيْهِمَا

for both of them

فِى

ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ

Musa

and Harun

Indeed, We

كَذَٰلِكَ

نَجْزِى

reward

najzī

ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ

the good-doers

Así es como recompenso a los que hacen el bien.

Indeed, both of them

مِنْ

(were) of

عِبَادِنَا

Our slaves

ʿibādinā

ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

believing

And indeed

إِلْيَاسَ

Elijah

لَمِنَ

(was) surely of

to his people

أَلَا

you fear

Dijo a su pueblo: “¿Es que no vais a tener temor de Dios?

أَتَدْعُونَ

Do you call

atadʿūna

بَعْلًۭا

Baal

baʿlan

وَتَذَرُونَ

and you forsake

watadharūna

أَحْسَنَ

(the) Best

aḥsana

ٱلْخَـٰلِقِينَ

(of) Creators

l-khāliqīna

١٢٥

Invocáis a Ba‘l, y dejáis de lado al mejor de los creadores:

ٱللَّهَ

Allah

al-laha

رَبَّكُمْ

your Lord

rabbakum

وَرَبَّ

and (the) Lord

warabba

ءَابَآئِكُمُ

(of) your forefathers

ābāikumu

ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

(of) your forefathers

l-awalīna

١٢٦

Dios, es vuestro Señor y el de vuestros antepasados”.

فَكَذَّبُوهُ

But they denied him

fakadhabūhu

فَإِنَّهُمْ

so indeed, they

fa-innahum

لَمُحْضَرُونَ

(will) surely be brought

lamuḥ'ḍarūna

Pero lo desmintieron, y tendrán que comparecer.

We saved him

وَأَهْلَهُۥٓ

and his family

أَجْمَعِينَ

Le salvé a él y a toda su familia,

إِلَّا

Except

عَجُوزًۭا

an old woman

ʿajūzan

فِى

(was) among

fī

ٱلْغَـٰبِرِينَ

those who remained behind

excepto a su mujer, que se sentenció [a ella misma] junto a los condenados.

ثُمَّ

Then

thumma

دَمَّرْنَا

We destroyed

dammarnā

ٱلْـَٔاخَرِينَ

the others

١٣٦

Luego aniquilé a los demás.

وَإِنَّكُمْ

And indeed, you

wa-innakum

لَتَمُرُّونَ

surely pass

latamurrūna

عَلَيْهِم

by them

ʿalayhim

مُّصْبِحِينَ

(in the) morning

muṣ'biḥīna

١٣٧

Vosotros [¡oh, incrédulos!] pasáis por sus ruinas de día

وَبِٱلَّيْلِ ۗ

And at night

wabi-al-layli

أَفَلَا

Then will not

afalā

تَعْقِلُونَ

you use reason

taʿqilūna

١٣٨

y de noche. ¿Es que no reflexionáis?

وَإِنَّ

And indeed

wa-inna

يُونُسَ

Yunus

yūnusa

لَمِنَ

(was) surely of

lamina

ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

the Messengers

Jonás también fue de Mis Mensajeros.

he ran away

Cuando se fugó en el barco abarrotado,

Then he drew lots

فَكَانَ

and was

مِنَ

ٱلْمُدْحَضِينَ

Then swallowed him

Cuando [fue arrojado al mar] una ballena se lo tragó. Jonás cometió un acto reprochable,

And if not

أَنَّهُۥ

ٱلْمُسَبِّحِينَ

those who glorify

y si no fuera porque él era de los que glorifican a Dios,

لَلَبِثَ

Certainly, he (would have) remained

lalabitha

فِى

in

fī

بَطْنِهِۦٓ

its belly

baṭnihi

إِلَىٰ

until

يَوْمِ

the Day

يُبْعَثُونَ

they are resurrected

yub'ʿathūna

١٤٤

hubiera permanecido en su vientre hasta el Día de la Resurrección.

۞ فَنَبَذْنَـٰهُ

But We cast him

fanabadhnāhu

بِٱلْعَرَآءِ

onto the open shore

bil-ʿarāi

وَهُوَ

while he

wahuwa

سَقِيمٌۭ

(was) ill

saqīmun

١٤٥

Pero le arrojé a un lugar desolado, y su piel estaba tan débil

وَأَنۢبَتْنَا

And We caused to grow

wa-anbatnā

عَلَيْهِ

over him

ʿalayhi

شَجَرَةًۭ

a plant

shajaratan

مِّن

of

min

يَقْطِينٍۢ

gourd

yaqṭīnin

١٤٦

que ordené crecer una planta de calabaza para que lo cubriera.

وَأَرْسَلْنَـٰهُ

And We sent him

wa-arsalnāhu

إِلَىٰ

to

ilā

مِا۟ئَةِ

a hundred

mi-ati

أَلْفٍ

thousand

alfin

أَوْ

or

aw

يَزِيدُونَ

more

yazīdūna

١٤٧

Luego lo envié a [una población de] más de cien mil personas

فَـَٔامَنُوا۟

And they believed

faāmanū

فَمَتَّعْنَـٰهُمْ

so We gave them enjoyment

famattaʿnāhum

إِلَىٰ

for

ilā

حِينٍۢ

a while

ḥīnin

١٤٨

y todos creyeron, y los dejé disfrutar hasta que la muerte les llegó.

فَٱسْتَفْتِهِمْ

Then ask them

fa-is'taftihim

أَلِرَبِّكَ

Does your Lord

alirabbika

ٱلْبَنَاتُ

(have) daughters

وَلَهُمُ

while for them

walahumu

ٱلْبَنُونَ

(are) sons

l-banūna

١٤٩

Pregúntales [¡Oh, Muhámmad!, a los idólatras de tu pueblo]: “¿[Qué argumentos tienen para afirmar] Que tu Señor tiene hijas mujeres y ellos los hijos varones?”

أَمْ

Or

am

خَلَقْنَا

did We create

khalaqnā

ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةَ

the Angels

l-malāikata

إِنَـٰثًۭا

females

ināthan

وَهُمْ

while they

wahum

شَـٰهِدُونَ

(were) witnesses

shāhidūna

١٥٠

¿Acaso fuisteis testigos cuando creé a los ángeles, para afirmar que son de sexo femenino?

أَلَآ

No doubt

إِنَّهُم

indeed, they

innahum

مِّنْ

of

min

إِفْكِهِمْ

their falsehood

لَيَقُولُونَ

[they] say

Entre las mentiras que inventaron:

Allah has begotten

وَإِنَّهُمْ

and indeed, they

an authority

مُّبِينٌۭ

¿O acaso tenéis una prueba válida [de lo que afirmáis]?

فَأْتُوا۟

Then bring

بِكِتَـٰبِكُمْ

your book

bikitābikum

إِن

if

in

كُنتُمْ

you are

kuntum

صَـٰدِقِينَ

truthful

ṣādiqīna

Traed entonces el libro, si sois veraces.

وَجَعَلُوا۟

And they have made

wajaʿalū

بَيْنَهُۥ

between Him

وَبَيْنَ

and between

wabayna

ٱلْجِنَّةِ

the jinn

نَسَبًۭا ۚ

a relationship

nasaban

وَلَقَدْ

but certainly

walaqad

عَلِمَتِ

know

ʿalimati

ٱلْجِنَّةُ

the jinn

l-jinatu

إِنَّهُمْ

that they

innahum

لَمُحْضَرُونَ

(will) surely be brought

lamuḥ'ḍarūna

١٥٨

También inventaron un parentesco entre Dios y los yinn, pero los yinn saben bien que comparecerán [ante Dios] para ser juzgados.

Glory be

sub'ḥāna

ٱللَّهِ

عَمَّا

Vosotros [¡oh, idólatras!] y lo que adoráis en lugar de Dios

عَلَيْهِ

from Him

بِفَـٰتِنِينَ

can tempt away (anyone)

١٦٢

solo podréis desviar

Except

مَنْ

man

هُوَ

he

huwa

صَالِ

(is) to burn

ṣāli

ٱلْجَحِيمِ

(in) the Hellfire

a quien Dios permitió que se desvíe y arda en el fuego del Infierno.

And not

مِنَّآ

among us

إِلَّا

[Los ángeles dicen:] “No hay entre nosotros quien no tenga un lugar asignado,

وَإِنَّا

And indeed, we

wa-innā

لَنَحْنُ

surely, [we]

lanaḥnu

ٱلصَّآفُّونَ

stand in rows

l-ṣāfūna

١٦٥

y nos ordenamos en filas [para adorar a nuestro Señor].

وَإِنَّا

And indeed, we

wa-innā

لَنَحْنُ

surely, [we]

lanaḥnu

ٱلْمُسَبِّحُونَ

glorify (Allah)

Todos nosotros Le glorificamos”.

a reminder

مِّنَ

ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

“Si nos llegara el Mensaje como les llegó a los pueblos anteriores,

لَكُنَّا

Certainly, we (would) have been

lakunnā

عِبَادَ

slaves

ʿibāda

ٱللَّهِ

(of) Allah

l-lahi

ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ

the chosen

l-mukh'laṣīna

١٦٩

sin duda seríamos fervientes siervos de Dios”.

فَكَفَرُوا۟

But they disbelieved

بِهِۦ ۖ

in it

bihi

فَسَوْفَ

so soon

fasawfa

يَعْلَمُونَ

they will know

yaʿlamūna

١٧٠

Pero cuando les llegó lo negaron. ¡Ya verán [el castigo que les aguarda]!

وَلَقَدْ

And verily

walaqad

سَبَقَتْ

has preceded

sabaqat

كَلِمَتُنَا

Our Word

kalimatunā

لِعِبَادِنَا

for Our slaves

liʿibādinā

ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

the Messengers

l-mur'salīna

١٧١

Fue decretado para Mis siervos Mensajeros

إِنَّهُمْ

Indeed they

innahum

لَهُمُ

surely they

lahumu

ٱلْمَنصُورُونَ

(would be) the victorious

l-manṣūrūna

١٧٢

que serían auxiliados,

وَإِنَّ

And indeed

wa-inna

جُندَنَا

Our host

jundanā

لَهُمُ

surely, they

lahumu

ٱلْغَـٰلِبُونَ

(will be) those who overcome

l-ghālibūna

١٧٣

y que Mi ejército sería el vencedor.

فَتَوَلَّ

So turn away

fatawalla

عَنْهُمْ

from them

ʿanhum

حَتَّىٰ

until

ḥattā

حِينٍۢ

a time

ḥīnin

١٧٤

Apártate [¡Oh, Muhámmad!] de los que rechazan el Mensaje por un tiempo,

وَأَبْصِرْهُمْ

And see them

wa-abṣir'hum

فَسَوْفَ

so soon

fasawfa

يُبْصِرُونَ

they will see

yub'ṣirūna

١٧٥

y ten paciencia con ellos, que ya pronto verán.

أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا

Then is (it) for Our punishment

afabiʿadhābinā

يَسْتَعْجِلُونَ

they hasten

yastaʿjilūna

١٧٦

¿Acaso quieren que se precipite Mi castigo?

فَإِذَا

But when

fa-idhā

نَزَلَ

it descends

nazala

بِسَاحَتِهِمْ

in their territory

bisāḥatihim

فَسَآءَ

then evil (will be)

fasāa

صَبَاحُ

(the) morning

ṣabāḥu

ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ

(for) those who were warned

l-mundharīna

١٧٧

¡Qué terrible despertar les aguardaría a los que fueron advertidos, si Mi castigo se desencadenase sobre ellos [como pretenden]!

وَتَوَلَّ

So turn away

watawalla

عَنْهُمْ

from them

ʿanhum

حَتَّىٰ

for

ḥattā

حِينٍۢ

a time

ḥīnin

١٧٨

Apártate [¡Oh, Muhámmad!] de los que rechazan el Mensaje por un tiempo,

وَأَبْصِرْ

And see

wa-abṣir

فَسَوْفَ

so soon

fasawfa

يُبْصِرُونَ

they will see

yub'ṣirūna

١٧٩

y observa, que ya pronto verán [el castigo que les aguarda].

Glory

sub'ḥāna

رَبِّكَ

(be to) your Lord

rabbika

رَبِّ

(the) Lord

rabbi

ٱلْعِزَّةِ

(of) Honor

عَمَّا

يَصِفُونَ

they attribute

yaṣifūna

١٨٠

¡Glorificado sea tu Señor, el dueño del poder absoluto! Él está por encima de lo que Le atribuyen.

And peace be

عَلَى

ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

وَٱلْحَمْدُ

And all praise

wal-ḥamdu

لِلَّهِ

(be) to Allah

lillahi

رَبِّ

ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ

¡Y alabado sea Dios, Señor del universo!
