قُرْءَانًا

(in) Arabic

ʿarabiyyan

لِّقَوْمٍۢ

for a people

liqawmin

يَعْلَمُونَ

(who) know

yaʿlamūna

un Libro en que los signos son explicados detalladamente. Expresado en idioma árabe para gente que comprende.

A giver of glad tidings

and a warner

فَأَعْرَضَ

لَا

(do) not

يَسْمَعُونَ

hear

And they say

Our hearts

فِىٓ

أَكِنَّةٍۢ

coverings

مِّمَّا

from what

تَدْعُونَآ

you call us

tadʿūnā

إِلَيْهِ

to it

ilayhi

وَفِىٓ

and in

wafī

ءَاذَانِنَا

our ears

ādhāninā

وَقْرٌۭ

(is) deafness

waqrun

وَمِنۢ

and between us

wamin

بَيْنِنَا

and between us

bayninā

وَبَيْنِكَ

and between you

wabaynika

حِجَابٌۭ

(is) a screen

ḥijābun

فَٱعْمَلْ

So work

fa-iʿ'mal

إِنَّنَا

indeed, we

innanā

عَـٰمِلُونَ

(are) working

ʿāmilūna

٥

Dicen: “Nuestros corazones son insensibles a lo que nos invitas, nuestros oídos son sordos, y entre tú y nosotros hay un velo. Haz lo que quieras, que nosotros haremos lo que queramos”.

Say

إِنَّمَآ

Only

innamā

أَنَا۠

I am

anā

بَشَرٌۭ

a man

basharun

مِّثْلُكُمْ

like you

mith'lukum

يُوحَىٰٓ

it is revealed

yūḥā

إِلَىَّ

to me

ilayya

أَنَّمَآ

that

annamā

إِلَـٰهُكُمْ

your god

ilāhukum

إِلَـٰهٌۭ

(is) God

ilāhun

وَٰحِدٌۭ

One

wāḥidun

فَٱسْتَقِيمُوٓا۟

so take a Straight Path

fa-is'taqīmū

إِلَيْهِ

to Him

ilayhi

وَٱسْتَغْفِرُوهُ ۗ

and ask His forgiveness

wa-is'taghfirūhu

وَوَيْلٌۭ

And woe

wawaylun

لِّلْمُشْرِكِينَ

to the polytheists

lil'mush'rikīna

٦

Diles [¡Oh, Muhámmad!]: “Soy un hombre igual que vosotros, pero me ha sido revelado que vuestra divinidad es una sola. Seguid el camino recto que Él ha establecido y pedid Su perdón”. ¡Ay de los idólatras,

ٱلَّذِينَ

Those who

alladhīna

لَا

(do) not

lā

يُؤْتُونَ

give

yu'tūna

ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ

the zakah

l-zakata

وَهُم

and they

wahum

بِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ

in the Hereafter

bil-ākhirati

هُمْ

they

hum

كَـٰفِرُونَ

(are) disbelievers

kāfirūna

٧

los que no pagan el zakat ni creen en la otra vida!

Indeed

inna

ٱلَّذِينَ

those who

alladhīna

ءَامَنُوا۟

believe

āmanū

وَعَمِلُوا۟

and do

waʿamilū

ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ

righteous deeds

l-ṣāliḥāti

لَهُمْ

for them

lahum

أَجْرٌ

(is) a reward

ajrun

غَيْرُ

never ending

ghayru

مَمْنُونٍۢ

never ending

mamnūnin

٨

Los que crean y obren rectamente recibirán una recompensa ininterrumpida.

Say

qul

أَئِنَّكُمْ

Do you indeed

a-innakum

لَتَكْفُرُونَ

[surely] disbelieve

latakfurūna

بِٱلَّذِى

in the One Who

bi-alladhī

خَلَقَ

created

khalaqa

ٱلْأَرْضَ

the earth

l-arḍa

فِى

in

fī

يَوْمَيْنِ

two periods

yawmayni

وَتَجْعَلُونَ

and you set up

watajʿalūna

لَهُۥٓ

with Him

lahu

أَندَادًۭا ۚ

rivals

andādan

ذَٰلِكَ

That

dhālika

رَبُّ

(is the) Lord

rabbu

ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ

(of) the worlds

l-ʿālamīna

٩

Diles: “¿Cómo es que no creéis en Quien creó la Tierra en dos días e inventáis ídolos a los que adoráis como si tuvieran poderes igual que Él? Él es el Señor del universo.

وَجَعَلَ

And He placed

wajaʿala

فِيهَا

therein

fīhā

رَوَٰسِىَ

firmly-set mountains

rawāsiya

مِن

above it

min

فَوْقِهَا

above it

fawqihā

وَبَـٰرَكَ

and He blessed

wabāraka

فِيهَا

therein

fīhā

وَقَدَّرَ

and determined

waqaddara

فِيهَآ

therein

fīhā

أَقْوَٰتَهَا

its sustenance

aqwātahā

فِىٓ

in

fī

أَرْبَعَةِ

four

arbaʿati

أَيَّامٍۢ

periods

ayyāmin

سَوَآءًۭ

equal

sawāan

لِّلسَّآئِلِينَ

for those who ask

lilssāilīna

١٠

Dispuso sobre la Tierra montañas firmes, la bendijo y determinó el sustento en cuatro eras completas, para los que preguntan.

ثُمَّ

Then

thumma

ٱسْتَوَىٰٓ

He directed (Himself)

is'tawā

إِلَى

towards

ilā

ٱلسَّمَآءِ

the heaven

l-samāi

وَهِىَ

while it (was)

wahiya

دُخَانٌۭ

smoke

dukhānun

فَقَالَ

and He said

faqāla

لَهَا

to it

lahā

وَلِلْأَرْضِ

and to the earth

walil'arḍi

ٱئْتِيَا

Come both of you

i'tiyā

طَوْعًا

willingly

ṭawʿan

أَوْ

or

aw

كَرْهًۭا

unwillingly

karhan

قَالَتَآ

They both said

qālatā

أَتَيْنَا

We come

ataynā

طَآئِعِينَ

willingly

ṭāiʿīna

١١

Luego se dirigió al cielo, el cual era nebuloso, y le dijo al cielo y a la Tierra: ‘¿Vendréis a mí de buen grado o por la fuerza?’ Respondieron: ‘Iremos a Ti de buen grado’.

فَقَضَىٰهُنَّ

Then He completed them

faqaḍāhunna

سَبْعَ

(as) seven

sabʿa

سَمَـٰوَاتٍۢ

heavens

samāwātin

فِى

in

fī

يَوْمَيْنِ

two periods

yawmayni

وَأَوْحَىٰ

and He revealed

wa-awḥā

فِى

in

fī

كُلِّ

each

kulli

سَمَآءٍ

heaven

samāin

أَمْرَهَا ۚ

its affair

amrahā

وَزَيَّنَّا

And We adorned

wazayyannā

ٱلسَّمَآءَ

the heaven

l-samāa

ٱلدُّنْيَا

[the world]

l-dun'yā

بِمَصَـٰبِيحَ

with lamps

bimaṣābīḥa

وَحِفْظًۭا ۚ

and (to) guard

waḥif'ẓan

ذَٰلِكَ

That

dhālika

تَقْدِيرُ

(is the) Decree

taqdīru

ٱلْعَزِيزِ

(of) the All-Mighty

l-ʿazīzi

ٱلْعَلِيمِ

the All-Knower

l-ʿalīmi

١٢

Creó siete cielos en dos días, y le inspiró a cada cielo su función. Embelleció el cielo de este mundo con estrellas luminosas, como protección. Éste es el decreto del Poderoso, el que todo lo sabe”.

فَإِنْ

But if

fa-in

أَعْرَضُوا۟

they turn away

aʿraḍū

فَقُلْ

then say

faqul

أَنذَرْتُكُمْ

I have warned you

andhartukum

صَـٰعِقَةًۭ

(of) a thunderbolt

ṣāʿiqatan

مِّثْلَ

like

mith'la

صَـٰعِقَةِ

(the) thunderbolt

ṣāʿiqati

عَادٍۢ

(of) Aad

ʿādin

وَثَمُودَ

and Thamud

wathamūda

١٣

Pero si se apartan, diles: “Os advierto que podríais caer fulminados como ‘Ad y Zamud”.

إِذْ

When

جَآءَتْهُمُ

came to them

ٱلرُّسُلُ

the Messengers

مِنۢ

from before them

بَيْنِ

أَيْدِيهِمْ

وَمِنْ

and from

wamin

خَلْفِهِمْ

behind them

khalfihim

أَلَّا

(saying) "Do not

allā

تَعْبُدُوٓا۟

worship

taʿbudū

إِلَّا

except

illā

ٱللَّهَ ۖ

Allah

l-laha

قَالُوا۟

They said

qālū

لَوْ

If

law

شَآءَ

(had) willed

shāa

رَبُّنَا

our Lord

rabbunā

لَأَنزَلَ

surely, He (would have) sent down

la-anzala

مَلَـٰٓئِكَةًۭ

Angels

malāikatan

فَإِنَّا

So indeed, we

fa-innā

بِمَآ

in what

bimā

أُرْسِلْتُم

you have been sent

ur'sil'tum

بِهِۦ

with

bihi

كَـٰفِرُونَ

(are) disbelievers

kāfirūna

١٤

Cuando se les presentaron los Mensajeros, uno después de otro [con el mismo argumento] diciéndoles: “No adoréis sino a Dios”. Respondían: “Si nuestro Señor hubiera querido nos habría enviado un ángel. No creemos en su Mensaje”.

فَأَمَّا

Then as for

fa-ammā

عَادٌۭ

Aad

ʿādun

فَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟

they were arrogant

fa-is'takbarū

فِى

in

fī

ٱلْأَرْضِ

the land

l-arḍi

بِغَيْرِ

without

bighayri

ٱلْحَقِّ

[the] right

l-ḥaqi

وَقَالُوا۟

and they said

waqālū

مَنْ

Who

man

أَشَدُّ

(is) mightier

ashaddu

مِنَّا

than us

minnā

قُوَّةً ۖ

(in) strength

quwwatan

أَوَلَمْ

Do not

awalam

يَرَوْا۟

they see

yaraw

أَنَّ

that

anna

ٱللَّهَ

Allah

l-laha

ٱلَّذِى

the One Who

alladhī

خَلَقَهُمْ

created them

khalaqahum

هُوَ

He

huwa

أَشَدُّ

(is) Mightier

ashaddu

مِنْهُمْ

than them

min'hum

قُوَّةًۭ ۖ

(in) strength

quwwatan

وَكَانُوا۟

But they used to

wakānū

بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا

in Our Signs

biāyātinā

يَجْحَدُونَ

deny

yajḥadūna

١٥

En cuanto a ‘Ad, actuaron con soberbia y cometieron injusticias en la tierra. Dijeron: “¿Acaso existe alguien más poderoso que nosotros?” ¿Acaso no sabían que Dios es Quien les había creado y que Él es más poderoso que ellos? Pero rechazaron Mis signos.

فَأَرْسَلْنَا

So We sent

fa-arsalnā

عَلَيْهِمْ

upon them

ʿalayhim

رِيحًۭا

a wind

rīḥan

صَرْصَرًۭا

furious

ṣarṣaran

فِىٓ

in

fī

أَيَّامٍۢ

(the) days

ayyāmin

نَّحِسَاتٍۢ

(of) misfortune

naḥisātin

لِّنُذِيقَهُمْ

that We may make them taste

linudhīqahum

عَذَابَ

(the) punishment

ʿadhāba

ٱلْخِزْىِ

(of) disgrace

l-khiz'yi

فِى

in

fī

ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ

the life

l-ḥayati

ٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ

(of) the world

l-dun'yā

وَلَعَذَابُ

And surely, (the) punishment

walaʿadhābu

ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ

(of) the Hereafter

l-ākhirati

أَخْزَىٰ ۖ

(is) more disgracing

akhzā

وَهُمْ

and they

wahum

لَا

will not be helped

lā

يُنصَرُونَ

will not be helped

yunṣarūna

١٦

Les envié un fortísimo viento gélido en días terribles, para hacerles sufrir el castigo humillante en esta vida; pero el castigo de la otra vida será más humillante aún, y no tendrán quién les socorra.

وَأَمَّا

And as for

wa-ammā

ثَمُودُ

Thamud

thamūdu

فَهَدَيْنَـٰهُمْ

We guided them

fahadaynāhum

فَٱسْتَحَبُّوا۟

but they preferred

fa-is'taḥabbū

ٱلْعَمَىٰ

[the] blindness

l-ʿamā

عَلَى

over

ʿalā

ٱلْهُدَىٰ

the guidance

l-hudā

فَأَخَذَتْهُمْ

so seized them

fa-akhadhathum

صَـٰعِقَةُ

a thunderbolt

ṣāʿiqatu

ٱلْعَذَابِ

(of) the punishment

l-ʿadhābi

ٱلْهُونِ

humiliating

l-hūni

بِمَا

for what

bimā

كَانُوا۟

they used to

kānū

يَكْسِبُونَ

earn

yaksibūna

١٧

Y en cuanto a Zamud, les aclaré cuál era la verdadera senda, pero prefirieron la ceguera a la guía. Entonces les azotó un castigo fulminante por lo que habían cometido.

وَنَجَّيْنَا

And We saved

wanajjaynā

ٱلَّذِينَ

those who

alladhīna

ءَامَنُوا۟

believed

āmanū

وَكَانُوا۟

and used to

wakānū

يَتَّقُونَ

fear (Allah)

yattaqūna

١٨

Pero salvé a quienes habían creído y tenían temor de Dios.

And (the) Day

will be gathered

أَعْدَآءُ

(the) enemies

ٱللَّهِ

the Fire

فَهُمْ

then they

fahum

يُوزَعُونَ

will be assembled in rows

yūzaʿūna

El día que sean congregados los enemigos de Dios y conducidos al Infierno,

Until

جَآءُوهَا

they come to it

شَهِدَ

(will) testify

عَلَيْهِمْ

their hearing

samʿuhum

وَأَبْصَـٰرُهُمْ

and their sight

wa-abṣāruhum

وَجُلُودُهُم

and their skins

wajulūduhum

بِمَا

(as) to what

bimā

كَانُوا۟

they used to

kānū

يَعْمَلُونَ

do

yaʿmalūna

٢٠

y estén a punto de ser arrojados en él, entonces atestiguarán contra ellos sus propios oídos, ojos y pieles todo lo que cometieron.

And they will say

لِجُلُودِهِمْ

to their skins

They will say

أَنطَقَنَا

Allah made us speak

ٱلَّذِىٓ

the One Who

أَنطَقَ

makes speak

كُلَّ

every

kulla

شَىْءٍۢ

thing

shayin

وَهُوَ

and He

wahuwa

خَلَقَكُمْ

created you

khalaqakum

أَوَّلَ

(the) first

awwala

مَرَّةٍۢ

time

marratin

وَإِلَيْهِ

and to Him

wa-ilayhi

تُرْجَعُونَ

you will be returned

tur'jaʿūna

٢١

Dirán a sus pieles: “¿Por qué atestiguáis contra nosotros?” Les responderán: “Nos ha hecho hablar Dios, Quien hace hablar a todas las cosas”. Sabed que Él os creó la primera vez, y que ante Él volveréis.

covering yourselves

أَن

lest

يَشْهَدَ

testify

عَلَيْكُمْ

سَمْعُكُمْ

your hearing

samʿukum

وَلَآ

and not

walā

أَبْصَـٰرُكُمْ

your sight

abṣārukum

وَلَا

and not

walā

جُلُودُكُمْ

your skins

julūdukum

وَلَـٰكِن

but

walākin

ظَنَنتُمْ

you assumed

ẓanantum

أَنَّ

that

anna

ٱللَّهَ

Allah

l-laha

لَا

(does) not

lā

يَعْلَمُ

know

yaʿlamu

كَثِيرًۭا

much

kathīran

مِّمَّا

of what

mimmā

تَعْمَلُونَ

you do

taʿmalūna

٢٢

No pudisteis esconderos de los oídos, los ojos y la piel que atestiguarán en vuestra contra. Pensabais que Dios ignoraba gran parte de lo que hacíais.

وَذَٰلِكُمْ

And that

wadhālikum

ظَنُّكُمُ

(was) your assumption

ẓannukumu

ٱلَّذِى

which

alladhī

ظَنَنتُم

you assumed

ẓanantum

بِرَبِّكُمْ

about your Lord

birabbikum

أَرْدَىٰكُمْ

It has ruined you

ardākum

فَأَصْبَحْتُم

and you have become

fa-aṣbaḥtum

مِّنَ

of

mina

ٱلْخَـٰسِرِينَ

the losers

l-khāsirīna

٢٣

Eso que pensasteis de vuestro Señor es lo que os ha llevado a la ruina, y ahora sois de los perdedores.

Then if

fa-in

يَصْبِرُوا۟

they endure

yaṣbirū

فَٱلنَّارُ

the Fire

fal-nāru

مَثْوًۭى

(is) an abode

mathwan

لَّهُمْ ۖ

وَإِن

and if

wa-in

يَسْتَعْتِبُوا۟

they ask for favor

yastaʿtibū

فَمَا

then not

famā

هُم

they

hum

مِّنَ

(will be) of

mina

ٱلْمُعْتَبِينَ

those who receive favor

l-muʿ'tabīna

٢٤

Y aunque tengan paciencia, el Infierno será su morada; y aunque supliquen ser excusados, no serán excusados.

And We have destined

for them

companions

فَزَيَّنُوا۟

(who) made fair-seeming

مَّا

what

mā

بَيْنَ

(was) before them

bayna

أَيْدِيهِمْ

(was) before them

aydīhim

وَمَا

and what

wamā

خَلْفَهُمْ

(was) behind them

khalfahum

وَحَقَّ

and (is) justified

waḥaqqa

عَلَيْهِمُ

against them

ʿalayhimu

ٱلْقَوْلُ

the Word

l-qawlu

فِىٓ

among

fī

أُمَمٍۢ

nations

umamin

قَدْ

(that have) passed away

qad

خَلَتْ

(that have) passed away

khalat

مِن

before them

min

قَبْلِهِم

before them

qablihim

مِّنَ

of

mina

ٱلْجِنِّ

the jinn

l-jini

وَٱلْإِنسِ ۖ

and the men

wal-insi

إِنَّهُمْ

Indeed, they

innahum

كَانُوا۟

were

kānū

خَـٰسِرِينَ

losers

khāsirīna

٢٥

Y les había asignado compañeros, que les embellecieron lo que habían cometido y lo que iban a cometer. Entonces merecieron el castigo al igual que otras naciones anteriores de seres humanos y de yinn que fueron destruidas. Ellos fueron los verdaderos perdedores.

And said

ٱلَّذِينَ

those who

alladhīna

كَفَرُوا۟

disbelieve

لَا

(Do) not

lā

تَسْمَعُوا۟

listen

tasmaʿū

لِهَـٰذَا

to this

lihādhā

ٱلْقُرْءَانِ

Quran

l-qur'āni

وَٱلْغَوْا۟

and make noise

wal-ghaw

فِيهِ

therein

fīhi

لَعَلَّكُمْ

so that you may

laʿallakum

تَغْلِبُونَ

overcome

taghlibūna

٢٦

Dicen los que se negaron a creer: “No prestéis atención al Corán cuando es recitado, y elevad la voz parloteando, así os saldréis con la vuestra”.

فَلَنُذِيقَنَّ

But surely We will cause to taste

falanudhīqanna

ٱلَّذِينَ

those who

alladhīna

كَفَرُوا۟

disbelieve

kafarū

عَذَابًۭا

a punishment

ʿadhāban

شَدِيدًۭا

severe

shadīdan

وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْ

and surely We will recompense them

walanajziyannahum

أَسْوَأَ

(the) worst

aswa-a

ٱلَّذِى

(of) what

alladhī

كَانُوا۟

they used to

kānū

يَعْمَلُونَ

do

yaʿmalūna

٢٧

Les haremos sufrir un castigo severo a los que se negaron a creer, retribuyéndoles por todo el mal que hicieron.

جَزَآءُ

(is the) recompense

jazāu

أَعْدَآءِ

(of the) enemies

ٱللَّهِ

لَهُمْ

for them

lahum

فِيهَا

therein

fīhā

دَارُ

(is the) home

dāru

ٱلْخُلْدِ ۖ

(of) the eternity

l-khul'di

جَزَآءًۢ

(as) recompense

jazāan

بِمَا

for what

bimā

كَانُوا۟

they used to

kānū

بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا

of Our Verses

biāyātinā

يَجْحَدُونَ

reject

yajḥadūna

٢٨

Este es el tormento que merecen los enemigos de Dios: el Infierno, donde morarán por toda la eternidad como castigo por haber negado Mis signos.

And (will) say

ٱلَّذِينَ

those who

alladhīna

كَفَرُوا۟

disbelieve

رَبَّنَآ

Our Lord

rabbanā

أَرِنَا

Show us

arinā

ٱلَّذَيْنِ

those who

alladhayni

أَضَلَّانَا

misled us

aḍallānā

مِنَ

of

mina

ٱلْجِنِّ

the jinn

l-jini

وَٱلْإِنسِ

and the men

wal-insi

نَجْعَلْهُمَا

(so) we may put them

najʿalhumā

تَحْتَ

under

taḥta

أَقْدَامِنَا

our feet

aqdāminā

لِيَكُونَا

that they be

liyakūnā

مِنَ

of

mina

ٱلْأَسْفَلِينَ

the lowest

l-asfalīna

٢٩

Dirán los que se negaron a creer: “¡Señor nuestro! Déjanos ver a los yinn y a los seres humanos que nos extraviaron para que los pongamos bajo nuestros pies, y así sean ellos de los que estén más abajo”.

Indeed

ٱلَّذِينَ

those who

قَالُوا۟

رَبُّنَا

Our Lord

rabbunā

ٱللَّهُ

(is) Allah

ٱسْتَقَـٰمُوا۟

stand firm

is'taqāmū

تَتَنَزَّلُ

will descend

tatanazzalu

عَلَيْهِمُ

on them

ʿalayhimu

ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ

the Angels

l-malāikatu

أَلَّا

(Do) not

allā

تَخَافُوا۟

fear

takhāfū

وَلَا

and (do) not

walā

تَحْزَنُوا۟

grieve

taḥzanū

وَأَبْشِرُوا۟

but receive the glad tidings

wa-abshirū

بِٱلْجَنَّةِ

of Paradise

bil-janati

ٱلَّتِى

which

allatī

كُنتُمْ

you were

kuntum

تُوعَدُونَ

promised

tūʿadūna

٣٠

Quienes digan: “Nuestro Señor es Dios” y obren correctamente, los ángeles descenderán sobre ellos [y les dirán:] “No temáis ni estéis tristes. Bienaventurados seáis porque tendréis el Paraíso que os fue prometido.

أَوْلِيَآؤُكُمْ

(are) your protectors

awliyāukum

فِى

ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ

ٱلدُّنْيَا

وَفِى

and in

wafī

ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ ۖ

the Hereafter

l-ākhirati

وَلَكُمْ

And for you

walakum

فِيهَا

therein

fīhā

مَا

whatever

mā

تَشْتَهِىٓ

desire

tashtahī

أَنفُسُكُمْ

your souls

anfusukum

وَلَكُمْ

and for you

walakum

فِيهَا

therein

fīhā

مَا

what

mā

تَدَّعُونَ

you ask

taddaʿūna

٣١

Nosotros somos vuestros protectores en la vida mundanal y en la otra, tendréis allí todo cuanto deseéis y se os concederá todo lo que pidáis

صَـٰلِحًۭا

righteous (deeds)

وَقَالَ

and says

إِنَّنِى

Indeed, I am

innanī

مِنَ

of

mina

ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ

those who submit

l-mus'limīna

٣٣

Quién puede expresar mejores palabras que aquel que invita a la gente a creer en Dios, obra rectamente y dice: “¡Yo soy de los musulmanes!”

And not

تَسْتَوِى

(are) equal

tastawī

ٱلْحَسَنَةُ

the good (deed)

وَلَا

ٱلسَّيِّئَةُ ۚ

ٱدْفَعْ

Repel

id'faʿ

بِٱلَّتِى

by (that) which

bi-allatī

هِىَ

[it]

hiya

أَحْسَنُ

(is) better

aḥsanu

فَإِذَا

then behold

fa-idhā

ٱلَّذِى

One who

alladhī

بَيْنَكَ

between you

baynaka

وَبَيْنَهُۥ

and between him

wabaynahu

عَدَٰوَةٌۭ

(was) enmity

ʿadāwatun

كَأَنَّهُۥ

(will become) as if he

ka-annahu

وَلِىٌّ

(was) a friend

waliyyun

حَمِيمٌۭ

intimate

ḥamīmun

٣٤

No es lo mismo obrar el bien que obrar el mal. Responde con una buena actitud, y verás que aquel con quien tenías enemistad se convierte en un amigo ferviente.

And not

يُلَقَّىٰهَآ

it is granted

yulaqqāhā

إِلَّا

illā

ٱلَّذِينَ

(to) those who

alladhīna

صَبَرُوا۟

(are) patient

ṣabarū

وَمَا

and not

wamā

يُلَقَّىٰهَآ

it is granted

yulaqqāhā

إِلَّا

except

illā

ذُو

(to the) owner

dhū

حَظٍّ

(of) fortune

ḥaẓẓin

عَظِيمٍۢ

great

ʿaẓīmin

٣٥

Esto no lo logran sino los que tienen paciencia; no lo logran sino los que son muy afortunados.

And if

wa-immā

يَنزَغَنَّكَ

whisper comes to you

yanzaghannaka

مِنَ

mina

ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنِ

the Shaitaan

l-shayṭāni

نَزْغٌۭ

an evil suggestion

nazghun

فَٱسْتَعِذْ

then seek refuge

fa-is'taʿidh

بِٱللَّهِ ۖ

in Allah

bil-lahi

إِنَّهُۥ

Indeed, He

innahu

هُوَ

[He]

huwa

ٱلسَّمِيعُ

(is) the All-Hearer

l-samīʿu

ٱلْعَلِيمُ

the All-Knower

l-ʿalīmu

٣٦

Si el demonio te susurra para hacer el mal, busca refugio en Dios, porque Él todo lo oye, todo lo sabe.

And of

wamin

ءَايَـٰتِهِ

His Signs

āyātihi

ٱلَّيْلُ

(are) the night

al-laylu

وَٱلنَّهَارُ

and the day

wal-nahāru

وَٱلشَّمْسُ

wal-shamsu

وَٱلْقَمَرُ ۚ

and the moon

wal-qamaru

لَا

(Do) not

lā

تَسْجُدُوا۟

prostrate

tasjudū

لِلشَّمْسِ

to the sun

lilshamsi

وَلَا

and not

walā

لِلْقَمَرِ

to the moon

lil'qamari

وَٱسْجُدُوا۟

but prostrate

wa-us'judū

لِلَّهِ

to Allah

lillahi

ٱلَّذِى

the One Who

alladhī

خَلَقَهُنَّ

created them

khalaqahunna

إِن

if

in

كُنتُمْ

you

kuntum

إِيَّاهُ

Him alone

iyyāhu

تَعْبُدُونَ

worship

taʿbudūna

٣٧

Entre Sus signos están la noche y el día, el Sol y la Luna. Si realmente es a Él a Quien adoráis, entonces no os prosternéis ante el Sol ni ante la Luna, sino que prosternaos ante Dios, ya que Él es Quien os ha creado.

فَإِنِ

But if

ٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟

they are arrogant

فَٱلَّذِينَ

then those who

fa-alladhīna

عِندَ

(are) near

ʿinda

رَبِّكَ

your Lord

rabbika

يُسَبِّحُونَ

glorify

yusabbiḥūna

لَهُۥ

Him

lahu

بِٱلَّيْلِ

by night

bi-al-layli

وَٱلنَّهَارِ

and day

wal-nahāri

وَهُمْ

And they

wahum

لَا

(do) not

lā

يَسْـَٔمُونَ ۩

tire

yasamūna

٣٨

Pero si se muestran soberbios, sabe que los que están próximos a tu Señor Lo glorifican durante la noche y durante el día, y no se cansan de hacerlo.

وَمِنْ

And among

wamin

ءَايَـٰتِهِۦٓ

His Signs

āyātihi

أَنَّكَ

(is) that you

annaka

تَرَى

see

tarā

ٱلْأَرْضَ

the earth

خَـٰشِعَةًۭ

barren

khāshiʿatan

فَإِذَآ

but when

fa-idhā

أَنزَلْنَا

We send down

anzalnā

عَلَيْهَا

upon it

ʿalayhā

ٱلْمَآءَ

water

l-māa

ٱهْتَزَّتْ

it is stirred (to life)

ih'tazzat

وَرَبَتْ ۚ

and grows

warabat

إِنَّ

Indeed

inna

ٱلَّذِىٓ

the One Who

alladhī

أَحْيَاهَا

gives it life

aḥyāhā

لَمُحْىِ

(is) surely the Giver of life

lamuḥ'yī

ٱلْمَوْتَىٰٓ ۚ

(to) the dead

l-mawtā

إِنَّهُۥ

Indeed, He

innahu

عَلَىٰ

(is) on

ʿalā

كُلِّ

every

kulli

شَىْءٍۢ

thing

shayin

قَدِيرٌ

All-Powerful

qadīrun

٣٩

Entre Sus signos está que puedes ver una tierra árida, sin vegetación, pero cuando Dios hace descender el agua sobre ella, vibra y reverdece. Aquel que le da vida es Quien resucitará a los muertos. Él es sobre toda cosa Poderoso.

عَلَيْنَآ ۗ

from Us

So, is (he) who

يُلْقَىٰ

is cast

yul'qā

فِى

in

fī

ٱلنَّارِ

the Fire

l-nāri

خَيْرٌ

better

khayrun

أَم

or

am

مَّن

(he) who

man

يَأْتِىٓ

comes

yatī

ءَامِنًۭا

secure

āminan

يَوْمَ

(on the) Day

yawma

ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ۚ

(of) Resurrection

l-qiyāmati

ٱعْمَلُوا۟

Do

iʿ'malū

مَا

what

mā

شِئْتُمْ ۖ

you will

shi'tum

إِنَّهُۥ

Indeed, He

innahu

بِمَا

of what

bimā

تَعْمَلُونَ

you do

taʿmalūna

بَصِيرٌ

(is) All-Seer

baṣīrun

٤٠

Quienes niegan Mis signos no pueden ocultarse de Mí. ¿Acaso quienes sean arrojados al Infierno serán mejores el Día de la Resurrección que quienes sean salvos? Haced lo que queráis, pero sabed que Él ve todo lo que hacéis.

And indeed, it

(is) surely a Book

عَزِيزٌۭ

mighty

A Revelation

(the) All-Wise

حَمِيدٍۢ

(the) Praiseworthy

ḥamīdin

٤٢

No puede ser adulterado agregando algo o suprimiendo [parte de él], porque es una revelación proveniente de un Sabio, Loable.

No dicen de ti [¡Oh, Muhámmad!] sino lo que ya había sido dicho sobre los Mensajeros que te precedieron. Tu Señor es el poseedor del perdón y el poseedor de un castigo doloroso.

And if

جَعَلْنَـٰهُ

We (had) made it

jaʿalnāhu

قُرْءَانًا

a Quran

qur'ānan

أَعْجَمِيًّۭا

(in) a foreign (language)

aʿjamiyyan

لَّقَالُوا۟

they (would have) said

laqālū

لَوْلَا

Why not

lawlā

فُصِّلَتْ

are explained in detail

fuṣṣilat

ءَايَـٰتُهُۥٓ ۖ

its verses

āyātuhu

ءَا۬عْجَمِىٌّۭ

(Is it) a foreign (language)

āʿ'jamiyyun

وَعَرَبِىٌّۭ ۗ

and an Arab

waʿarabiyyun

قُلْ

Say

qul

هُوَ

It (is)

huwa

لِلَّذِينَ

for those who

lilladhīna

ءَامَنُوا۟

believe

āmanū

هُدًۭى

a guidance

hudan

وَشِفَآءٌۭ ۖ

and a healing

washifāon

وَٱلَّذِينَ

And those who

wa-alladhīna

لَا

(do) not

lā

يُؤْمِنُونَ

believe

yu'minūna

فِىٓ

in

fī

ءَاذَانِهِمْ

their ears

ādhānihim

وَقْرٌۭ

(is) deafness

waqrun

وَهُوَ

and it

wahuwa

عَلَيْهِمْ

(is) for them

ʿalayhim

عَمًى ۚ

blindness

ʿaman

أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ

Those

ulāika

يُنَادَوْنَ

are being called

yunādawna

مِن

from

min

مَّكَانٍۭ

a place

makānin

بَعِيدٍۢ

far

baʿīdin

٤٤

Si hubiera revelado el Corán en otro idioma habrían dicho [los incrédulos de entre tu pueblo]: “¿Por qué no fue explicado detalladamente en forma clara?” ¡Qué! ¿Una revelación no árabe para un Profeta árabe? Diles: “Este Libro es guía y salud para los creyentes; pero de los que se niegan a creer sus oídos son sordos y no comprenden. [Se comportan] como si se los llamara de un lugar muy lejano.

وَلَقَدْ

And certainly

walaqad

ءَاتَيْنَا

We gave

ātaynā

مُوسَى

Musa

mūsā

ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ

the Book

l-kitāba

فَٱخْتُلِفَ

but disputes arose

fa-ukh'tulifa

فِيهِ ۗ

therein

fīhi

وَلَوْلَا

And had it not been

walawlā

كَلِمَةٌۭ

(for) a word

kalimatun

سَبَقَتْ

(that) preceded

sabaqat

مِن

from

min

رَّبِّكَ

your Lord

rabbika

لَقُضِىَ

surely, would have been settled

laquḍiya

بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ

between them

baynahum

وَإِنَّهُمْ

But indeed, they

wa-innahum

لَفِى

surely (are) in

lafī

شَكٍّۢ

doubt

shakkin

مِّنْهُ

about it

min'hu

مُرِيبٍۢ

disquieting

murībin

٤٥

Le revelé el Libro a Moisés, pero discreparon sobre él. Si no hubiera sido porque tu Señor lo había decretado, se les habría adelantado el castigo. Ellos tienen sobre el Corán una seria duda.

Whoever

man

عَمِلَ

does

ʿamila

صَـٰلِحًۭا

righteous deeds

ṣāliḥan

فَلِنَفْسِهِۦ ۖ

then it is for his soul

falinafsihi

وَمَنْ

and whoever

waman

أَسَآءَ

does evil

asāa

فَعَلَيْهَا ۗ

then it is against it

faʿalayhā

وَمَا

And not

wamā

رَبُّكَ

(is) your Lord

rabbuka

بِظَلَّـٰمٍۢ

unjust

biẓallāmin

لِّلْعَبِيدِ

to His slaves

lil'ʿabīdi

٤٦

Quien obre rectamente lo hará en beneficio propio, y quien obre el mal se perjudicará a sí mismo. Tu Señor no es injusto con Sus siervos.

To Him

comes out

مِّنْ

أَكْمَامِهَا

their coverings

akmāmihā

وَمَا

and not

wamā

تَحْمِلُ

bears

taḥmilu

مِنْ

any

min

أُنثَىٰ

female

unthā

وَلَا

and not

walā

تَضَعُ

gives birth

taḍaʿu

إِلَّا

except

illā

بِعِلْمِهِۦ ۚ

with His knowledge

biʿil'mihi

وَيَوْمَ

And (the) Day

wayawma

يُنَادِيهِمْ

He will call them

yunādīhim

أَيْنَ

Where (are)

ayna

شُرَكَآءِى

My partners

shurakāī

قَالُوٓا۟

They will say

qālū

ءَاذَنَّـٰكَ

We announce (to) You

ādhannāka

مَا

not

mā

مِنَّا

among us

minnā

مِن

any

min

Solo Él sabe cuándo llegará la Hora. No surge ningún fruto de su cáliz, ni concibe ninguna mujer o da a luz sin que Él tenga total conocimiento de ello. El día que se los llame [y pregunte a los idólatras]: “¿Dónde están los socios [en la divinidad] que Me atribuían?” Responderán: “Anunciamos que ninguno de nosotros sigue atestiguando eso”.

وَضَلَّ

And lost

وَظَنُّوا۟

and they (will) be certain

مَّحِيصٍۢ

place of escape

Les abandonará aquello que solían invocar, y sabrán que no tienen escapatoria.

get tired

ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ

وَإِن

but if

wa-in

مَّسَّهُ

touches him

ٱلشَّرُّ

the evil

فَيَـُٔوسٌۭ

then he gives up hope

fayaūsun

قَنُوطٌۭ

(and) despairs

qanūṭun

El ser humano no se cansa de pedir más y más bienestar, pero si le sucede alguna desgracia se desanima y se desespera.

وَلَئِنْ

And verily, if

wala-in

أَذَقْنَـٰهُ

We let him taste

adhaqnāhu

رَحْمَةًۭ

mercy

raḥmatan

مِّنَّا

from Us

minnā

مِنۢ

after

min

بَعْدِ

after

baʿdi

ضَرَّآءَ

an adversity

ḍarrāa

مَسَّتْهُ

(has) touched him

massathu

لَيَقُولَنَّ

he will surely say

layaqūlanna

هَـٰذَا

This (is)

hādhā

لِى

(due) to me

lī

وَمَآ

and not

wamā

أَظُنُّ

I think

aẓunnu

ٱلسَّاعَةَ

the Hour

l-sāʿata

قَآئِمَةًۭ

(will be) established

qāimatan

وَلَئِن

and if

wala-in

رُّجِعْتُ

I am returned

rujiʿ'tu

إِلَىٰ

to

ilā

رَبِّىٓ

my Lord

rabbī

إِنَّ

indeed

inna

لِى

for me

lī

عِندَهُۥ

with Him

ʿindahu

لَلْحُسْنَىٰ ۚ

(will be) the best

lalḥus'nā

فَلَنُنَبِّئَنَّ

But We will surely inform

falanunabbi-anna

ٱلَّذِينَ

those who

alladhīna

كَفَرُوا۟

disbelieved

kafarū

بِمَا

about what

bimā

عَمِلُوا۟

they did

ʿamilū

وَلَنُذِيقَنَّهُم

and We will surely make them taste

walanudhīqannahum

مِّنْ

of

min

عَذَابٍ

a punishment

ʿadhābin

غَلِيظٍۢ

severe

ghalīẓin

٥٠

Si lo agracio con Mi misericordia después de que sufriera una desgracia, dice: “Esto es lo que me merecía, y no creo que la Hora del Juicio llegue jamás; pero si compareciera ante mi Señor, seguro que Él me concedería lo más bello que existe”. Pero ya les informaré a los que se negaron a creer todo lo que hicieron, y los haré sufrir un castigo terrible.

وَإِذَآ

And when

wa-idhā

أَنْعَمْنَا

We bestow favor

anʿamnā

عَلَى

upon

ʿalā

ٱلْإِنسَـٰنِ

man

l-insāni

أَعْرَضَ

he turns away

aʿraḍa

وَنَـَٔا

and distances himself

wanaā

بِجَانِبِهِۦ

and distances himself

bijānibihi

وَإِذَا

but when

wa-idhā

مَسَّهُ

touches him

massahu

ٱلشَّرُّ

the evil

l-sharu

فَذُو

then (he is) full

fadhū

دُعَآءٍ

(of) supplication

duʿāin

عَرِيضٍۢ

lengthy

ʿarīḍin

Cuando agracio a la persona se aparta y se vuelve soberbio. Pero si lo azota un mal, entonces no deja de suplicar.

than (one) who

mimman

هُوَ

huwa

فِى

(is) in

fī

شِقَاقٍۭ

opposition

shiqāqin

بَعِيدٍۢ

far

baʿīdin

Diles: “¿Acaso habéis considerado qué os pasaría si este es un Libro que proviene de Dios y vosotros os negáis a creer en él?”. No existe nadie más desviado que quien persiste obstinado en el error.

سَنُرِيهِمْ

Soon We will show them

ءَايَـٰتِنَا

Our Signs

āyātinā

فِى

ٱلْـَٔافَاقِ

the horizons

وَفِىٓ

أَنفُسِهِمْ

themselves

حَتَّىٰ

until

ḥattā

يَتَبَيَّنَ

becomes clear

yatabayyana

لَهُمْ

to them

lahum

أَنَّهُ

that it

annahu

ٱلْحَقُّ ۗ

(is) the truth

l-ḥaqu

أَوَلَمْ

Is (it) not

awalam

يَكْفِ

sufficient

yakfi

بِرَبِّكَ

concerning your Lord

birabbika

أَنَّهُۥ

that He

annahu

عَلَىٰ

(is) over

ʿalā

كُلِّ

all

kulli

شَىْءٍۢ

things

shayin

شَهِيدٌ

a Witness

shahīdun

Les haré ver Mis signos en los horizontes y en ellos mismos, hasta que se les haga evidente la Verdad. ¿Acaso no es suficiente tu Señor como Testigo de todo?

encompassing

muḥīṭun
