التكوير
إِذَا When idhā the sun l-shamsu is wrapped up kuwwirat
Cuando el Sol se contraiga [y oscurezca],
وَإِذَا And when wa-idhā the stars l-nujūmu fall, losing their luster inkadarat
cuando las estrellas pierdan su luz,
وَإِذَا And when wa-idhā the mountains l-jibālu are moved away suyyirat
cuando las montañas sean pulverizadas,
وَإِذَا And when wa-idhā the full-term she-camels l-ʿishāru (are) left untended ʿuṭṭilat
cuando las camellas preñadas sean dejadas de lado,
وَإِذَا And when wa-idhā the wild beasts l-wuḥūshu are gathered ḥushirat
cuando las bestias salvajes sean acorraladas,
وَإِذَا And when wa-idhā the seas l-biḥāru are made to overflow sujjirat
cuando los mares hiervan y se desborden,
وَإِذَا And when wa-idhā the souls l-nufūsu are paired zuwwijat
cuando las almas vuelvan a emparejarse [con sus cuerpos],
وَإِذَا And when wa-idhā the female infant buried alive l-mawūdatu is asked su-ilat
cuando se le pregunte a las niñas que fueron enterradas vivas
بِأَىِّ For what bi-ayyi sin dhanbin she was killed qutilat
por qué pecado las mataron,
وَإِذَا And when wa-idhā the pages l-ṣuḥufu are laid open nushirat
cuando los registros [de las obras] sean repartidos,
وَإِذَا And when wa-idhā the sky l-samāu is stripped away kushiṭat
cuando la bóveda celeste desaparezca,
وَإِذَا And when wa-idhā the Hellfire l-jaḥīmu is set ablaze suʿʿirat
cuando el fuego del Infierno sea avivado,
وَإِذَا And when wa-idhā Paradise l-janatu is brought near uz'lifat
y cuando el Paraíso sea acercado.
عَلِمَتْ Will know ʿalimat a soul nafsun what mā it has brought aḥḍarat
En ese momento sabrá cada alma el resultado de sus obras.
فَلَآ But nay falā I swear uq'simu by the retreating planets bil-khunasi
Juro por los astros
ٱلْجَوَارِ Those that run al-jawāri (and) disappear l-kunasi
que recorren sus órbitas,
وَٱلَّيْلِ And the night wa-al-layli when idhā it departs ʿasʿasa
y [juro] por la noche cuando extiende su oscuridad,
وَٱلصُّبْحِ And the dawn wal-ṣub'ḥi when idhā it breathes tanaffasa
y [juro] por la mañana cuando extiende su luminosidad,
إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, it innahu (is) surely a word laqawlu (of) a Messenger rasūlin noble karīmin
que [el Corán] es la palabra [de Dios transmitida] por un emisario noble,
ذِى Possessor of dhī power quwwatin with ʿinda (the) Owner of dhī the Throne l-ʿarshi secure makīnin
dotado de poder y distinción ante el Señor del Trono.
مُّطَاعٍۢ One to be obeyed muṭāʿin and thamma trustworthy amīnin
El obedecido [por otros ángeles] y el digno confidente [de la revelación].
وَمَا And not wamā (is) your companion ṣāḥibukum mad bimajnūnin
[Sabed que] su compañero [el profeta Muhámmad] no es un loco,
وَلَقَدْ And certainly walaqad he saw him raāhu in the horizon bil-ufuqi the clear l-mubīni
lo vio [al ángel Gabriel] en el horizonte claro,
وَمَا And not wamā he (is) huwa on ʿalā the unseen l-ghaybi a withholder biḍanīnin
no oculta nada de lo que le fue revelado.
وَمَا And not wamā it huwa (is the) word biqawli (of) Shaitaan shayṭānin accursed rajīmin
[El Corán] no es la palabra de un demonio maldito.
فَأَيْنَ So where fa-ayna are you going tadhhabūna
¿A dónde iréis [con ese argumento]?
إِنْ Not in it huwa (is) except illā a reminder dhik'run to the worlds lil'ʿālamīna
[El Corán] es un Mensaje para toda la humanidad,
لِمَن For whoever liman wills shāa among you minkum to an take a straight way yastaqīma
para que se encamine quien quiera.
وَمَا And not wamā you will tashāūna except illā that an wills yashāa Allah l-lahu Lord rabbu (of) the worlds l-ʿālamīna
Pero sabed que solo se encaminará quien quiera Dios, Señor del universo.
