Los Defraudadores
﷽
المطففين
وَيْلٌۭ Woe waylun to those who give less lil'muṭaffifīna
¡Ay de los tramposos!
ٱلَّذِينَ Those who alladhīna when idhā they take a measure ik'tālū from ʿalā the people l-nāsi they take in full yastawfūna
Que cuando compran exigen el peso exacto,
وَإِذَا But when wa-idhā they give by measure (to) them kālūhum or aw they weigh (for) them wazanūhum they give less yukh'sirūna
pero cuando venden hacen trampa [dando menos] en el peso y la medida.
أَلَا Do not alā think yaẓunnu those ulāika that they annahum (will be) resurrected mabʿūthūna
¿Acaso no saben que serán resucitados?
يَوْمَ (The) Day yawma will stand yaqūmu mankind l-nāsu before (the) Lord lirabbi (of) the worlds l-ʿālamīna
un día en el que comparecerán los seres humanos ante el Señor del universo.
كَلَّآ Nay kallā Indeed inna (the) record kitāba (of) the wicked l-fujāri (is) surely in lafī Sijjin sijjīnin
No quedarán impunes como piensan, porque el registro de los pecadores está en un libro ineludible.
وَمَآ And what wamā can make you know adrāka what mā (is) Sijjin sijjīnun
¿Y qué te hará saber lo que es un libro ineludible?
كِتَـٰبٌۭ A book kitābun written marqūmun
Es un libro donde se registran las obras de los pecadores.
وَيْلٌۭ Woe waylun that Day yawma-idhin to the deniers lil'mukadhibīna
¡Cuán desdichados serán ese día los que negaron la verdad!
ٱلَّذِينَ Those who alladhīna deny yukadhibūna (the) Day biyawmi (of) the Judgment l-dīni
Los que desmintieron el Día del Juicio,
وَمَا And not wamā can deny yukadhibu [of] it bihi except illā every kullu transgressor muʿ'tadin sinful athīmin
pues solo lo desmienten los transgresores y los pecadores.
إِذَا When idhā are recited tut'lā to him ʿalayhi Our Verses āyātunā he says qāla Stories asāṭīru (of) the former (people) l-awalīna
Quienes, cuando les es recitada Mi palabra, dicen: “Son fábulas de los pueblos antiguos”.
كَلَّا ۖ Nay kallā But bal (the) stain has covered rāna [over] ʿalā their hearts qulūbihim (for) what mā they used to kānū earn yaksibūna
Pero no es así, sino que sus corazones están duros, llenos de herrumbre, debido a los pecados que cometieron.
كَلَّآ Nay kallā Indeed, they innahum from ʿan their Lord rabbihim that Day yawma-idhin surely will be partitioned lamaḥjūbūna
No es así, sino que ese día no podrán ver a su Señor.
ثُمَّ Then thumma indeed, they innahum (surely) will burn laṣālū (in) the Hellfire l-jaḥīmi
Luego serán llevados al Infierno,
ثُمَّ Then thumma it will be said yuqālu This hādhā (is) what alladhī you used to kuntum [of it] bihi deny tukadhibūna
donde se les dirá: “Esto es lo que desmentíais y rechazabais”.
كَلَّآ Nay kallā Indeed inna (the) record kitāba (of) the righteous l-abrāri (will be) surely in lafī Illiyin ʿilliyyīna
En cambio, el registro de los bienaventurados será un libro noble.
وَمَآ And what wamā can make you know adrāka what mā (is) Illiyun ʿilliyyūna
¿Y qué te hará saber lo que es un libro noble?
كِتَـٰبٌۭ A book kitābun written marqūmun
Es el libro donde se registran las obras de los que hacen el bien,
يَشْهَدُهُ Witness it yashhaduhu those brought near l-muqarabūna
que puede ser visto por los [ángeles] cercanos [a Dios].
إِنَّ Indeed inna the righteous l-abrāra (will be) surely in lafī bliss naʿīmin
Los bienaventurados gozarán las delicias del Paraíso,
عَلَى On ʿalā thrones l-arāiki observing yanẓurūna
recostados en sofás, contemplando.
تَعْرِفُ You will recognize taʿrifu in fī their faces wujūhihim (the) radiance naḍrata (of) bliss l-naʿīmi
Reconocerás en sus rostros el resplandor de la dicha.
يُسْقَوْنَ They will be given to drink yus'qawna of min a pure wine raḥīqin sealed makhtūmin
Se les dará de beber un néctar sellado,
خِتَـٰمُهُۥ Its seal khitāmuhu (will be of) musk mis'kun And for wafī that dhālika let aspire falyatanāfasi the aspirers l-mutanāfisūna
cuyo último sorbo deja un sabor a almizcle. ¡Que se esfuercen por alcanzarla los aspirantes!
وَمِزَاجُهُۥ And its mixture wamizājuhu (is) of min Tasneem tasnīmin
[El néctar] estará mezclado con agua de Tasnim,
عَيْنًۭا A spring ʿaynan will drink yashrabu from it bihā those brought near l-muqarabūna
un manantial del que solo beberán los más cercanos a Dios.
إِنَّ Indeed inna those who alladhīna committed crimes ajramū used to kānū at mina those who alladhīna believed āmanū laugh yaḍḥakūna
Los que se abandonan al pecado se ríen [en esta vida] de los creyentes.
وَإِذَا And when wa-idhā they passed marrū by them bihim they winked at one another yataghāmazūna
Cuando pasan junto a ellos se hacen gestos [despectivos],
وَإِذَا And when wa-idhā they returned inqalabū to ilā their people ahlihimu they would return inqalabū jesting fakihīna
y cuando regresan a sus hogares se jactan [de ello].
وَإِذَا And when wa-idhā they saw them ra-awhum they said qālū Indeed inna these hāulāi surely have gone astray laḍāllūna
Cuando ven a los suyos dicen: “Ellos son unos desviados”,
وَمَآ But not wamā they had been sent ur'silū over them ʿalayhim (as) guardians ḥāfiẓīna
aunque no les fue encargado velar por ellos.
فَٱلْيَوْمَ So today fal-yawma those who alladhīna believed āmanū at mina the disbelievers l-kufāri they will laugh yaḍḥakūna
Pero este día los creyentes serán quienes se rían de los que rechazaron la verdad.
عَلَى On ʿalā the thrones l-arāiki observing yanẓurūna
[Los creyentes] estarán reclinados sobre sofás, contemplando [el Rostro de Dios].
هَلْ Have (not) hal been rewarded thuwwiba the disbelievers l-kufāru (for) what mā they used to kānū do yafʿalūna
¿Acaso los que rechazaron la verdad no han recibido una retribución justa por sus propias obras?
