ٱقْتَرَبَ

(Has) approached

iq'taraba

لِلنَّاسِ

for [the] mankind

lilnnāsi

حِسَابُهُمْ

their account

ḥisābuhum

وَهُمْ

while they

wahum

فِى

(are) in

fī

غَفْلَةٍۢ

heedlessness

ghaflatin

مُّعْرِضُونَ

turning away

muʿ'riḍūna

Se aproxima la hora en que la gente deberá comparecer [ante Dios para ser juzgada], sin embargo, se muestran indiferentes, lejanos.

Siempre que les llega de su Señor una nueva revelación, la escuchan y la toman a broma,

those who

alladhīna

ظَلَمُوا۟

[they] wronged

ẓalamū

هَلْ

Is

hal

هَـٰذَآ

this

hādhā

إِلَّا

except

illā

بَشَرٌۭ

a human being

basharun

مِّثْلُكُمْ ۖ

like you

mith'lukum

أَفَتَأْتُونَ

So would you approach

afatatūna

ٱلسِّحْرَ

the magic

l-siḥ'ra

وَأَنتُمْ

while you

wa-antum

تُبْصِرُونَ

see (it)

tub'ṣirūna

٣

con sus corazones distraídos. Los injustos dicen entre sí en secreto: “[Muhámmad] no es más que un mortal como nosotros. [Y recriminando a los que le escuchaban dicen:] ¿Cómo aceptan ser cautivados por la magia de sus palabras si saben [que es un farsante]?”

وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ

and the earth

wal-arḍi

وَهُوَ

And He

wahuwa

ٱلسَّمِيعُ

(is) the All-Hearer

l-samīʿu

ٱلْعَلِيمُ

the All-Knower

l-ʿalīmu

Diles [¡Oh, Muhámmad!]: “Mi Señor sabe bien todo lo que se dice en el cielo y en la Tierra. Él todo lo oye, todo lo sabe”.

he (has) invented it

he

huwa

شَاعِرٌۭ

(is) a poet

shāʿirun

فَلْيَأْتِنَا

So let him bring us

falyatinā

بِـَٔايَةٍۢ

a sign

biāyatin

كَمَآ

like what

kamā

أُرْسِلَ

was sent

ur'sila

ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ

(to) the former

l-awalūna

٥

Y dicen [otros idólatras]: “[El Corán] no es más que sueños incoherentes, o [palabras que] él mismo ha inventado, o es un poeta. Que nos muestre un milagro como lo hicieron los primeros [Mensajeros, si es verdad lo que dice]”.

Ninguno de los pueblos a los que he exterminado creyeron [al ver los milagros], ¿acaso estos van a creer? [No lo harán].

We sent

نُّوحِىٓ

إِلَيْهِمْ ۖ

to them

ilayhim

فَسْـَٔلُوٓا۟

So ask

أَهْلَ

(the) people

ahla

ٱلذِّكْرِ

(of) the Reminder

l-dhik'ri

إِن

if

in

كُنتُمْ

you

kuntum

لَا

(do) not

lā

تَعْلَمُونَ

know

taʿlamūna

٧

No he enviado antes de ti sino hombres a quienes transmití Mi revelación. Preguntad a la gente de conocimiento si es que no saben.

We made them

جَسَدًۭا

لَّا

يَأْكُلُونَ

وَمَا

and not

wamā

كَانُوا۟

they were

kānū

خَـٰلِدِينَ

immortals

No les di [a los Mensajeros] cuerpos que no necesitaran comer, tampoco eran inmortales.

صَدَقْنَـٰهُمُ

We fulfilled (for) them

ṣadaqnāhumu

ٱلْوَعْدَ

the promise

فَأَنجَيْنَـٰهُمْ

and We saved them

fa-anjaynāhum

وَمَن

and whom

waman

نَّشَآءُ

We willed

nashāu

وَأَهْلَكْنَا

and We destroyed

wa-ahlaknā

ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ

the transgressors

Luego cumplí con la promesa que les había hecho. Les salvé a ellos y a otros que quise, pero hice perecer a los transgresores.

(is) your mention

أَفَلَا

Then will not

تَعْقِلُونَ

you use reason

Os he revelado un Libro en el que hay una amonestación para vosotros. ¿Cómo es que no reflexionáis?

And how many

We (have) shattered

وَأَنشَأْنَا

and We produced

بَعْدَهَا

¡Cuántos pueblos opresores he destruido, y he hecho surgir después de ellos nuevas generaciones!

أَحَسُّوا۟

they perceived

بَأْسَنَآ

Our torment

مِّنْهَا

were fleeing

Cuando sintieron que Mi tormento se desencadenaba sobre ellos, trataron de escapar.

فِيهِ

وَمَسَـٰكِنِكُمْ

and to your homes

wamasākinikum

لَعَلَّكُمْ

so that you may

laʿallakum

تُسْـَٔلُونَ

be questioned

tus'alūna

١٣

[Entonces se les dijo irónicamente:] “No intentéis escapar, regresad a la vida placentera que llevabais y esperad en vuestros hogares, quizás tengáis

يَـٰوَيْلَنَآ

O woe to us

yāwaylanā

إِنَّا

Indeed, [we]

innā

كُنَّا

we were

kunnā

ظَـٰلِمِينَ

wrongdoers

Respondieron: “¡Ay de nosotros! En verdad hemos sido injustos”.

Then not

تِّلْكَ

[this]

til'ka

دَعْوَىٰهُمْ

their cry

daʿwāhum

حَتَّىٰ

until

ḥattā

جَعَلْنَـٰهُمْ

We made them

jaʿalnāhum

حَصِيدًا

reaped

ḥaṣīdan

خَـٰمِدِينَ

extinct

khāmidīna

١٥

Y no cesaron de lamentarse hasta que les aniquilé, dejándoles inertes como paja segada.

And not

wamā

خَلَقْنَا

We created

khalaqnā

ٱلسَّمَآءَ

the heavens

وَٱلْأَرْضَ

and the earth

وَمَا

(is) between them

baynahumā

لَـٰعِبِينَ

(for) playing

lāʿibīna

١٦

No he creado el cielo y la Tierra y todo cuanto existe entre ellos solo como un juego.

فَـٰعِلِينَ

doers

fāʿilīna

١٧

Si hubiera buscado divertirme, lo habría hecho por Mi cuenta [sin crear nada para ello].

نَقْذِفُ

We hurl

بِٱلْحَقِّ

the truth

bil-ḥaqi

عَلَى

ʿalā

ٱلْبَـٰطِلِ

[the] falsehood

فَيَدْمَغُهُۥ

and it breaks its head

fayadmaghuhu

فَإِذَا

behold

fa-idhā

هُوَ

it (is)

huwa

زَاهِقٌۭ ۚ

vanishing

zāhiqun

وَلَكُمُ

And for you

walakumu

ٱلْوَيْلُ

(is) destruction

l-waylu

مِمَّا

for what

mimmā

تَصِفُونَ

you ascribe

taṣifūna

١٨

Por el contrario, refuto lo falso con la Verdad, y lo falso se desvanece. Os aguarda la perdición por cómo habéis descrito [a Dios].

And to Him (belongs)

مَن

whoever

فِى

ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ

the heavens

وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ

وَمَنْ

And (those) who

waman

عِندَهُۥ

(are) near Him

ʿindahu

لَا

not

lā

يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ

they are arrogant

yastakbirūna

عَنْ

to

ʿan

عِبَادَتِهِۦ

worship Him

ʿibādatihi

وَلَا

and not

walā

يَسْتَحْسِرُونَ

they tire

yastaḥsirūna

١٩

A Él pertenece cuanto existe en los cielos y en la Tierra, y quienes están junto a Él [los ángeles] no dejan, por soberbia, de adorarlo ni se cansan de hacerlo.

They glorify (Him)

فَسُبْحَـٰنَ

So glorified

ٱللَّهِ

(is) Allah

رَبِّ

Lord

rabbi

ٱلْعَرْشِ

(of) the Throne

l-ʿarshi

عَمَّا

(above) what

ʿammā

يَصِفُونَ

they attribute

yaṣifūna

٢٢

Si hubiese habido en los cielos y en la Tierra otras divinidades además de Dios, estos se habrían destruido. ¡Glorificado sea Dios, Señor del Trono! Él está por encima de lo que Le atribuyen.

(are) with me

maʿiya

وَذِكْرُ

and a Reminder

wadhik'ru

مَن

(for those) who

قَبْلِى ۗ

(were) before me

qablī

بَلْ

But

bal

أَكْثَرُهُمْ

most of them

aktharuhum

لَا

(do) not

lā

يَعْلَمُونَ

know

yaʿlamūna

ٱلْحَقَّ ۖ

the truth

l-ḥaqa

فَهُم

so they

fahum

مُّعْرِضُونَ

(are) averse

muʿ'riḍūna

٢٤

A aquellos que adoran a otras divinidades en lugar de Dios, diles: “Presentad pruebas válidas. Este es mi Mensaje y el de quienes me siguen, y el Mensaje de quienes nos han precedido. Pero la mayoría no reconoce la Verdad y la rechazan”.

We reveal(ed)

إِلَيْهِ

to him

(There is) no

lā

إِلَـٰهَ

god

ilāha

إِلَّآ

except

illā

أَنَا۠

Me

anā

فَٱعْبُدُونِ

so worship Me

fa-uʿ'budūni

٢٥

No he enviado en el pasado a ningún Mensajero, excepto que hubiera recibido la misma revelación que tú: “Nada ni nadie merece ser adorado excepto Yo, ¡Adoradme solo a Mí!”

And they say

Has taken

ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ

the Most Gracious

l-raḥmānu

وَلَدًۭا ۗ

سُبْحَـٰنَهُۥ ۚ

Glorified is He

sub'ḥānahu

بَلْ

Nay

bal

عِبَادٌۭ

(they are) slaves

ʿibādun

مُّكْرَمُونَ

honored

muk'ramūna

٢٦

[Algunos] dicen: “El Misericordioso ha tenido un hijo”. ¡Glorificado sea! Por el contrario, [los ángeles y los Profetas] son solo siervos distinguidos.

they (can) precede Him

بِٱلْقَوْلِ

خَشْيَتِهِۦ

fear of Him

مُشْفِقُونَ

stand in awe

mush'fiqūna

٢٨

[Dios] Conoce tanto lo que han hecho como lo que harán, y solo podrán interceder por quienes Dios se complazca. Por temor a Él están sobrecogidos.

فَذَٰلِكَ

Then that

fadhālika

نَجْزِيهِ

We will recompense

najzīhi

جَهَنَّمَ ۚ

(with) Hell

jahannama

كَذَٰلِكَ

Thus

kadhālika

نَجْزِى

We recompense

najzī

ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

the wrongdoers

l-ẓālimīna

٢٩

Si uno de ellos dijera: “Yo soy un dios junto a Él”, le condenaría al Infierno, porque así castigo a los injustos.

Do not

awalam

يَرَ

see

yara

ٱلَّذِينَ

those who

alladhīna

كَفَرُوٓا۟

disbelieved

kafarū

أَنَّ

that

anna

ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ

the heavens

l-samāwāti

وَٱلْأَرْضَ

and the earth

wal-arḍa

كَانَتَا

were

kānatā

رَتْقًۭا

a joined entity

ratqan

فَفَتَقْنَـٰهُمَا ۖ

then We parted them

fafataqnāhumā

وَجَعَلْنَا

and We made

wajaʿalnā

مِنَ

from

mina

ٱلْمَآءِ

[the] water

l-māi

كُلَّ

every

kulla

شَىْءٍ

living thing

shayin

حَىٍّ ۖ

living thing

ḥayyin

أَفَلَا

Then will not

afalā

يُؤْمِنُونَ

they believe

yu'minūna

٣٠

¿Acaso los que se niegan a creer no reparan en que los cielos y la Tierra formaban una masa homogénea y la disgregué, y que creé del agua a todo ser vivo? ¿Es que aún después de esto no van a creer?

وَجَعَلْنَا

And We (have) placed

wajaʿalnā

فِى

in

fī

ٱلْأَرْضِ

the earth

l-arḍi

رَوَٰسِىَ

firmly set mountains

rawāsiya

أَن

lest

an

تَمِيدَ

it (should) shake

tamīda

بِهِمْ

with them

bihim

وَجَعَلْنَا

and We made

wajaʿalnā

فِيهَا

therein

fīhā

فِجَاجًۭا

broad passes

fijājan

سُبُلًۭا

(as) ways

subulan

لَّعَلَّهُمْ

so that they may

laʿallahum

يَهْتَدُونَ

(be) guided

yahtadūna

٣١

Afirmé la Tierra con montañas para que no temblara, y dispuse caminos para que encontréis guía.

وَجَعَلْنَا

And We made

wajaʿalnā

ٱلسَّمَآءَ

the sky

l-samāa

سَقْفًۭا

a roof

saqfan

مَّحْفُوظًۭا ۖ

protected

maḥfūẓan

وَهُمْ

But they

wahum

عَنْ

from

ʿan

ءَايَـٰتِهَا

its Signs

āyātihā

مُعْرِضُونَ

turn away

muʿ'riḍūna

٣٢

Hice del cielo un techo protector, pero aun así los que se niegan a creer rechazan reflexionar en Mis signos.

وَهُوَ

And He

wahuwa

ٱلَّذِى

(is) the One Who

alladhī

خَلَقَ

created

khalaqa

ٱلَّيْلَ

the night

al-layla

وَٱلنَّهَارَ

and the day

wal-nahāra

وَٱلشَّمْسَ

and the sun

wal-shamsa

وَٱلْقَمَرَ ۖ

and the moon

wal-qamara

كُلٌّۭ

each

kullun

فِى

in

fī

فَلَكٍۢ

an orbit

falakin

يَسْبَحُونَ

floating

yasbaḥūna

٣٣

Él es Quien creó la noche y el día, el Sol y la Luna. Cada uno recorre su órbita.

And not

wamā

جَعَلْنَا

We made

jaʿalnā

لِبَشَرٍۢ

for any man

libasharin

مِّن

before you

min

قَبْلِكَ

before you

qablika

ٱلْخُلْدَ ۖ

[the] immortality

l-khul'da

أَفَإِي۟ن

so if

afa-in

مِّتَّ

you die

mitta

فَهُمُ

then (would) they

fahumu

ٱلْخَـٰلِدُونَ

live forever

l-khālidūna

٣٤

No he concedido la inmortalidad a ningún ser humano. Si tú [¡Oh, Muhámmad!] has de morir, ¿por qué razón iban ellos a ser inmortales?

Every

kullu

نَفْسٍۢ

soul

nafsin

ذَآئِقَةُ

(will) taste

dhāiqatu

ٱلْمَوْتِ ۗ

[the] death

l-mawti

وَنَبْلُوكُم

And We test you

wanablūkum

بِٱلشَّرِّ

with [the] bad

bil-shari

وَٱلْخَيْرِ

and [the] good

wal-khayri

فِتْنَةًۭ ۖ

(as) a trial

fit'natan

وَإِلَيْنَا

and to Us

wa-ilaynā

تُرْجَعُونَ

you will be returned

tur'jaʿūna

٣٥

Toda alma probará la muerte. Los pondré a prueba con cosas malas y cosas buenas, pero finalmente volverán a Mí para ser juzgados.

وَإِذَا

And when

wa-idhā

رَءَاكَ

they see you

raāka

ٱلَّذِينَ

those who

alladhīna

كَفَرُوٓا۟

disbelieve

kafarū

إِن

not

in

يَتَّخِذُونَكَ

they take you

yattakhidhūnaka

إِلَّا

except

illā

هُزُوًا

(in) ridicule

huzuwan

أَهَـٰذَا

Is this

ahādhā

ٱلَّذِى

the one who

alladhī

يَذْكُرُ

mentions

yadhkuru

ءَالِهَتَكُمْ

your gods

ālihatakum

وَهُم

And they

wahum

بِذِكْرِ

at (the) mention

bidhik'ri

ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ

(of) the Most Gracious

l-raḥmāni

هُمْ

[they]

hum

كَـٰفِرُونَ

(are) disbelievers

kāfirūna

٣٦

Cuando los que se niegan a creer te ven, se burlan de ti, y dicen: “Este es quien desdeña a nuestros ídolos”; sin embargo, son ellos los que, cuando es mencionado el Misericordioso, rechazan la verdad.

Is created

khuliqa

ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ

the man

l-insānu

مِنْ

of

min

عَجَلٍۢ ۚ

haste

ʿajalin

سَأُو۟رِيكُمْ

I will show you

sa-urīkum

ءَايَـٰتِى

My Signs

āyātī

فَلَا

so (do) not

falā

تَسْتَعْجِلُونِ

ask Me to hasten

tastaʿjilūni

٣٧

El ser humano fue creado impaciente. Ya os mostraré Mis signos, así que no me pidáis que se adelanten.

وَيَقُولُونَ

And they say

wayaqūlūna

مَتَىٰ

When (will be fulfilled)

matā

هَـٰذَا

this

hādhā

ٱلْوَعْدُ

promise

l-waʿdu

إِن

if

in

كُنتُمْ

you are

kuntum

صَـٰدِقِينَ

truthful

ṣādiqīna

٣٨

Dicen: “¿Cuándo se cumplirá tu advertencia? Si es verdad lo que dices”.

لَوْ

If

law

يَعْلَمُ

knew

yaʿlamu

ٱلَّذِينَ

those who

alladhīna

كَفَرُوا۟

disbelieved

kafarū

حِينَ

(the) time

ḥīna

لَا

(when) not

يَكُفُّونَ

they will avert

yakuffūna

عَن

from

ʿan

وُجُوهِهِمُ

their faces

wujūhihimu

ٱلنَّارَ

the Fire

l-nāra

وَلَا

and not

walā

عَن

from

ʿan

ظُهُورِهِمْ

their backs

ẓuhūrihim

وَلَا

and not

walā

هُمْ

they

hum

يُنصَرُونَ

will be helped

yunṣarūna

٣٩

Si supieran los que se niegan a creer, que llegará un momento en que no podrán impedir que el fuego queme sus rostros y sus espaldas, y no serán socorridos.

Nay

bal

تَأْتِيهِم

it will come to them

tatīhim

بَغْتَةًۭ

unexpectedly

baghtatan

فَتَبْهَتُهُمْ

and bewilder them

fatabhatuhum

فَلَا

then not

falā

يَسْتَطِيعُونَ

they will be able

yastaṭīʿūna

رَدَّهَا

to repel it

raddahā

وَلَا

and not

walā

هُمْ

they

hum

يُنظَرُونَ

will be given respite

yunẓarūna

٤٠

Por el contrario, [el fuego] les llegará por sorpresa dejándolos desconcertados sin que puedan evitarlo, y no serán indultados.

And verily

walaqadi

ٱسْتُهْزِئَ

were mocked

us'tuh'zi-a

بِرُسُلٍۢ

Messengers

birusulin

مِّن

before you

min

قَبْلِكَ

before you

qablika

فَحَاقَ

then surrounded

faḥāqa

بِٱلَّذِينَ

those who

bi-alladhīna

سَخِرُوا۟

mocked

sakhirū

مِنْهُم

from them

min'hum

مَّا

what

mā

كَانُوا۟

they used

kānū

بِهِۦ

at it

bihi

يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ

(to) mock

yastahziūna

٤١

También se burlaron de otros Mensajeros anteriores a ti [¡Oh, Muhámmad!], y el castigo azotó a los que se burlaban por haberlos ridiculizado.

Say

qul

مَن

Who

man

يَكْلَؤُكُم

(can) protect you

yakla-ukum

بِٱلَّيْلِ

in the night

bi-al-layli

وَٱلنَّهَارِ

and the day

wal-nahāri

مِنَ

from

mina

ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ۗ

the Most Gracious

l-raḥmāni

بَلْ

Yet

bal

هُمْ

they

hum

عَن

from

ʿan

ذِكْرِ

(the) remembrance

dhik'ri

رَبِّهِم

(of) their Lord

rabbihim

مُّعْرِضُونَ

turn away

muʿ'riḍūna

٤٢

Diles [¡Oh, Muhámmad!]: “¿Quién sino el Misericordioso os protege durante la noche y el día?” Pero ellos, a pesar de esto, se niegan a recordar a su Señor.

Or

am

لَهُمْ

have they

lahum

ءَالِهَةٌۭ

gods

ālihatun

تَمْنَعُهُم

(to) defend them

tamnaʿuhum

مِّن

from

min

دُونِنَا ۚ

Us

dūninā

لَا

Not

lā

يَسْتَطِيعُونَ

they are able

yastaṭīʿūna

نَصْرَ

(to) help

naṣra

أَنفُسِهِمْ

themselves

anfusihim

وَلَا

and not

walā

هُم

they

hum

مِّنَّا

from Us

minnā

يُصْحَبُونَ

can be protected

yuṣ'ḥabūna

٤٣

¿Acaso creen que existen otras divinidades que les pueden socorrer en vez de Mí? [Lo que consideran divinidades] No pueden defenderse ni protegerse a sí mismos de Mí.

بَلْ

Nay

bal

مَتَّعْنَا

We gave provision

mattaʿnā

هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ

(to) these

hāulāi

وَءَابَآءَهُمْ

and their fathers

waābāahum

حَتَّىٰ

until

ḥattā

طَالَ

grew long

ṭāla

عَلَيْهِمُ

for them

ʿalayhimu

ٱلْعُمُرُ ۗ

the life

l-ʿumuru

أَفَلَا

Then do not

afalā

يَرَوْنَ

they see

yarawna

أَنَّا

that We

annā

نَأْتِى

We come

natī

ٱلْأَرْضَ

(to) the land

l-arḍa

نَنقُصُهَا

We reduce it

nanquṣuhā

مِنْ

from

min

أَطْرَافِهَآ ۚ

its borders

aṭrāfihā

أَفَهُمُ

So is (it) they

afahumu

ٱلْغَـٰلِبُونَ

(who will be) overcoming

l-ghālibūna

٤٤

A ellos y a sus padres les dejé disfrutar muchas bondades y les otorgué una larga vida. ¿Acaso no ven que van perdiendo el control del territorio? ¿Pensaron que iban a ser los vencedores?

قُلْ

Say

qul

إِنَّمَآ

Only

innamā

أُنذِرُكُم

I warn you

undhirukum

بِٱلْوَحْىِ ۚ

by the revelation

bil-waḥyi

وَلَا

But not

walā

يَسْمَعُ

hear

yasmaʿu

ٱلصُّمُّ

the deaf

l-ṣumu

ٱلدُّعَآءَ

the call

l-duʿāa

إِذَا

when

idhā

مَا

when

mā

يُنذَرُونَ

they are warned

yundharūna

٤٥

Diles [¡Oh, Muhámmad!]: “Solo os exhorto con la revelación”. Pero los sordos [de corazón] no oyen cuando se les exhorta.

وَلَئِن

And if

wala-in

مَّسَّتْهُمْ

touches them

massathum

نَفْحَةٌۭ

a whiff

nafḥatun

مِّنْ

of

min

عَذَابِ

(the) punishment

ʿadhābi

رَبِّكَ

(of) your Lord

rabbika

لَيَقُولُنَّ

surely they will say

layaqūlunna

يَـٰوَيْلَنَآ

O woe to us

yāwaylanā

إِنَّا

Indeed, we

innā

كُنَّا

[we] were

kunnā

ظَـٰلِمِينَ

wrongdoers

ẓālimīna

٤٦

Mas cuando les alcance un soplo del castigo de tu Señor, dirán: “¡Ay de nosotros! Fuimos injustos”.

وَنَضَعُ

And We set

wanaḍaʿu

ٱلْمَوَٰزِينَ

the scales

l-mawāzīna

ٱلْقِسْطَ

(of) the justice

l-qis'ṭa

لِيَوْمِ

for (the) Day

liyawmi

ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ

(of) the Resurrection

l-qiyāmati

فَلَا

so not

falā

تُظْلَمُ

will be wronged

tuẓ'lamu

نَفْسٌۭ

any soul

nafsun

شَيْـًۭٔا ۖ

(in) anything

shayan

وَإِن

And if

wa-in

كَانَ

(there) be

kāna

مِثْقَالَ

weight

mith'qāla

حَبَّةٍۢ

(of) a seed

ḥabbatin

مِّنْ

of

min

خَرْدَلٍ

a mustard

khardalin

أَتَيْنَا

We will bring

ataynā

بِهَا ۗ

[with] it

bihā

وَكَفَىٰ

And sufficient

wakafā

بِنَا

(are) We

binā

حَـٰسِبِينَ

(as) Reckoners

ḥāsibīna

٤٧

Y dispondré la balanza de la justicia el Día de la Resurrección, y nadie será oprimido en lo más mínimo. Todas las obras, aunque sean tan ínfimas como un grano de mostaza, serán tenidas en cuenta. Nadie lleva las cuentas mejor que Yo.

وَلَقَدْ

And verily

walaqad

ءَاتَيْنَا

We gave

ātaynā

مُوسَىٰ

Musa

mūsā

وَهَـٰرُونَ

and Harun

wahārūna

ٱلْفُرْقَانَ

the Criterion

l-fur'qāna

وَضِيَآءًۭ

and a light

waḍiyāan

وَذِكْرًۭا

and a Reminder

wadhik'ran

لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ

for the righteous

lil'muttaqīna

٤٨

Concedí a Moisés y a Aarón el Criterio [la Torá], para iluminar y exhortar a los piadosos,

ٱلَّذِينَ

Those who

alladhīna

يَخْشَوْنَ

fear

yakhshawna

رَبَّهُم

their Lord

rabbahum

بِٱلْغَيْبِ

in the unseen

bil-ghaybi

وَهُم

and they

wahum

مِّنَ

of

mina

ٱلسَّاعَةِ

the Hour

l-sāʿati

مُشْفِقُونَ

(are) afraid

mush'fiqūna

٤٩

a los que tienen temor a su Señor en privado, y sienten temor de la Hora [del Juicio].

وَهَـٰذَا

And this

wahādhā

ذِكْرٌۭ

(is) a Reminder

dhik'run

مُّبَارَكٌ

blessed

mubārakun

أَنزَلْنَـٰهُ ۚ

which We (have) revealed

anzalnāhu

أَفَأَنتُمْ

Then are you

afa-antum

لَهُۥ

of it

lahu

مُنكِرُونَ

rejecters

munkirūna

٥٠

Este [Corán] es un Mensaje bendito que he revelado. ¿Acaso lo vais a rechazar?

۞ وَلَقَدْ

And verily

walaqad

ءَاتَيْنَآ

We gave

ātaynā

إِبْرَٰهِيمَ

Ibrahim

ib'rāhīma

رُشْدَهُۥ

his guidance

rush'dahu

مِن

before

min

قَبْلُ

before

qablu

وَكُنَّا

and We were

wakunnā

بِهِۦ

about him

bihi

عَـٰلِمِينَ

Well-Knowing

ʿālimīna

٥١

Antes [de Moisés] le concedí la guía a Abraham, a quien conocía bien .

When

قَالَ

he said

لِأَبِيهِ

to his father

li-abīhi

وَقَوْمِهِۦ

and his people

waqawmihi

مَا

What

mā

هَـٰذِهِ

(are) these

hādhihi

ٱلتَّمَاثِيلُ

[the] statues

l-tamāthīlu

ٱلَّتِىٓ

which

allatī

أَنتُمْ

you

antum

لَهَا

to it

lahā

عَـٰكِفُونَ

(are) devoted

ʿākifūna

٥٢

Cuando dijo a su padre y a su pueblo: “¿Qué son estas estatuas a las que dedicáis vuestra adoración?”

قَالُوا۟

They said

qālū

وَجَدْنَآ

We found

wajadnā

ءَابَآءَنَا

our forefathers

ābāanā

لَهَا

of them

lahā

عَـٰبِدِينَ

worshippers

ʿābidīna

٥٣

Respondieron: “Hemos visto que nuestros padres las adoraban”.

— Sheikh Isa Garcia

قَالَ

He said

qāla

لَقَدْ

Verily

laqad

كُنتُمْ

you are

kuntum

أَنتُمْ

[you]

antum

وَءَابَآؤُكُمْ

and your forefathers

waābāukum

فِى

(were) in

fī

ضَلَـٰلٍۢ

an error

ḍalālin

مُّبِينٍۢ

manifest

mubīnin

٥٤

Dijo: “Vosotros y vuestros padres estáis en un error evidente”.

— Sheikh Isa Garcia

قَالُوٓا۟

They said

qālū

أَجِئْتَنَا

Have you come to us

aji'tanā

بِٱلْحَقِّ

with the truth

bil-ḥaqi

أَمْ

or

am

أَنتَ

you

anta

مِنَ

(are) of

mina

ٱللَّـٰعِبِينَ

those who play

l-lāʿibīna

٥٥

Dijeron: “¿Nos hablas en serio o estás bromeando?”

— Sheikh Isa Garcia

قَالَ

He said

qāla

بَل

Nay

bal

رَّبُّكُمْ

your Lord

rabbukum

رَبُّ

(is the) Lord

rabbu

ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ

(of) the heavens

l-samāwāti

وَٱلْأَرْضِ

and the earth

wal-arḍi

ٱلَّذِى

the One Who

alladhī

فَطَرَهُنَّ

created them

faṭarahunna

وَأَنَا۠

and I am

wa-anā

عَلَىٰ

to

ʿalā

ذَٰلِكُم

that

dhālikum

مِّنَ

of

mina

ٱلشَّـٰهِدِينَ

the witnesses

l-shāhidīna

٥٦

Dijo: “Vuestro Señor es el Señor de los cielos y de la Tierra, el Creador de ambos, y yo doy testimonio de ello.

— Sheikh Isa Garcia

وَتَٱللَّهِ

And by Allah

watal-lahi

لَأَكِيدَنَّ

surely, I will plan

la-akīdanna

أَصْنَـٰمَكُم

(against) your idols

aṣnāmakum

بَعْدَ

after

baʿda

أَن

[that]

an

تُوَلُّوا۟

you go away

tuwallū

مُدْبِرِينَ

turning (your) backs

mud'birīna

٥٧

Juro por Dios que voy a tramar algo contra vuestros ídolos cuando os hayáis retirado”.

فَجَعَلَهُمْ

So he made them

fajaʿalahum

جُذَٰذًا

(into) pieces

judhādhan

إِلَّا

except

illā

كَبِيرًۭا

a large (one)

kabīran

لَّهُمْ

of them

lahum

لَعَلَّهُمْ

so that they may

laʿallahum

إِلَيْهِ

to it

ilayhi

يَرْجِعُونَ

return

yarjiʿūna

٥٨

Y los hizo pedazos excepto al más grande, para que su atención se volviera sobre él.

قَالُوا۟

They said

qālū

مَن

Who

man

فَعَلَ

(has) done

faʿala

هَـٰذَا

this

hādhā

بِـَٔالِهَتِنَآ

to our gods

biālihatinā

إِنَّهُۥ

Indeed, he

innahu

لَمِنَ

(is) of

lamina

ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

the wrongdoers

l-ẓālimīna

٥٩

Exclamaron: “¿Quién ha sido capaz de hacer esto con nuestros dioses? Sin duda se trata de un malhechor”.

قَالُوا۟

They said

qālū

سَمِعْنَا

We heard

samiʿ'nā

فَتًۭى

a youth

fatan

يَذْكُرُهُمْ

mention them

yadhkuruhum

يُقَالُ

he is called

yuqālu

لَهُۥٓ

he is called

lahu

إِبْرَٰهِيمُ

Ibrahim

ib'rāhīmu

٦٠

Alguien dijo: “Oímos a un joven, llamado Abraham, hablar [mal] de ellos”.

قَالُوا۟

They said

qālū

فَأْتُوا۟

Then bring

fatū

بِهِۦ

him

bihi

عَلَىٰٓ

before

ʿalā

أَعْيُنِ

(the) eyes

aʿyuni

ٱلنَّاسِ

(of) the people

l-nāsi

لَعَلَّهُمْ

so that they may

laʿallahum

يَشْهَدُونَ

bear witness

yashhadūna

٦١

Dijeron: “Traedlo a la vista de la gente, para que puedan atestiguar [contra él]”.

قَالُوٓا۟

They said

qālū

ءَأَنتَ

Have you

a-anta

فَعَلْتَ

done

faʿalta

هَـٰذَا

this

hādhā

بِـَٔالِهَتِنَا

to our gods

biālihatinā

يَـٰٓإِبْرَٰهِيمُ

O Ibrahim

yāib'rāhīmu

٦٢

Le dijeron: “¡Oh, Abraham! ¿Has sido tú quien ha destruido nuestros dioses?”

— Sheikh Isa Garcia

قَالَ

He said

qāla

بَلْ

Nay

bal

فَعَلَهُۥ

(some doer) did it

faʿalahu

كَبِيرُهُمْ

Their chief

kabīruhum

هَـٰذَا

(is) this

hādhā

فَسْـَٔلُوهُمْ

So ask them

fasalūhum

إِن

if

in

كَانُوا۟

they (can)

kānū

يَنطِقُونَ

speak

yanṭiqūna

٦٣

Respondió: “¡Ha sido ese, el mayor de todos! Preguntadle [a vuestros dioses], si es que ellos son capaces [al menos] de hablar”.

فَرَجَعُوٓا۟

So they returned

farajaʿū

إِلَىٰٓ

to

ilā

أَنفُسِهِمْ

themselves

anfusihim

فَقَالُوٓا۟

and said

faqālū

إِنَّكُمْ

Indeed, you

innakum

أَنتُمُ

[you]

antumu

ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ

(are) the wrongdoers

l-ẓālimūna

٦٤

Comenzaron a criticarse unos a otros diciendo: “Vosotros sois los malhechores”.

ثُمَّ

Then

thumma

نُكِسُوا۟

they were turned

عَلَىٰ

on

ʿalā

رُءُوسِهِمْ

their heads

ruūsihim

لَقَدْ

Verily

laqad

عَلِمْتَ

you know

ʿalim'ta

مَا

not

mā

هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ

these

hāulāi

يَنطِقُونَ

(can) speak

yanṭiqūna

٦٥

Pero luego volvieron a su estado anterior [y le dijeron]: “Tú bien sabes que no pueden hablar”.

He said

أَفَتَعْبُدُونَ

Then do you worship

afataʿbudūna

مِن

besides

min

دُونِ

besides

dūni

ٱللَّهِ

Allah

l-lahi

مَا

what

mā

لَا

(does) not

lā

يَنفَعُكُمْ

benefit you

yanfaʿukum

شَيْـًۭٔا

(in) anything

shayan

وَلَا

and not

walā

يَضُرُّكُمْ

harms you

yaḍurrukum

٦٦

Dijo [Abraham]: “¿Acaso adoráis en vez de Dios lo que no puede beneficiarlos ni perjudicarlos [en lo más mínimo]?

أُفٍّۢ

Uff

uffin

لَّكُمْ

to you

lakum

وَلِمَا

and to what

walimā

تَعْبُدُونَ

you worship

taʿbudūna

مِن

besides

min

دُونِ

besides

dūni

ٱللَّهِ ۖ

Allah

l-lahi

أَفَلَا

Then will not

afalā

تَعْقِلُونَ

you use reason

taʿqilūna

٦٧

¡Uf, qué perdidos estáis y lo que adoráis en vez de Dios! ¿Es que no vais a reflexionar?”

قَالُوا۟

They said

qālū

حَرِّقُوهُ

Burn him

ḥarriqūhu

وَٱنصُرُوٓا۟

and support

wa-unṣurū

ءَالِهَتَكُمْ

your gods

ālihatakum

إِن

if

in

كُنتُمْ

you are

kuntum

فَـٰعِلِينَ

doers

fāʿilīna

٦٨

Exclamaron: “¡Quemadlo [en la hoguera] para vengar a vuestros ídolos! Si es que vais a hacer algo”.

قُلْنَا

We said

qul'nā

يَـٰنَارُ

O fire

yānāru

كُونِى

Be

kūnī

بَرْدًۭا

cool[ness]

bardan

وَسَلَـٰمًا

and safe[ty]

wasalāman

عَلَىٰٓ

for

ʿalā

إِبْرَٰهِيمَ

Ibrahim

ib'rāhīma

٦٩

Pero dijo [Dios]: “¡Oh, fuego! Sé fresco y no dañes a Abraham”.

وَأَرَادُوا۟

And they intended

wa-arādū

بِهِۦ

for him

bihi

كَيْدًۭا

a plan

kaydan

فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمُ

but We made them

fajaʿalnāhumu

ٱلْأَخْسَرِينَ

the greatest losers

l-akhsarīna

٧٠

Pretendieron deshacerse de él, pero hice que fueran ellos los perdedores.

وَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُ

And We delivered him

wanajjaynāhu

وَلُوطًا

and Lut

walūṭan

إِلَى

to

ilā

ٱلْأَرْضِ

the land

l-arḍi

ٱلَّتِى

which

allatī

بَـٰرَكْنَا

We (had) blessed

bāraknā

فِيهَا

[in it]

fīhā

لِلْعَـٰلَمِينَ

for the worlds

lil'ʿālamīna

٧١

Lo salvé a él y también a Lot, para que fueran a la tierra que bendije para toda la humanidad.

وَوَهَبْنَا

And We bestowed

wawahabnā

لَهُۥٓ

on him

lahu

إِسْحَـٰقَ

Isaac

is'ḥāqa

وَيَعْقُوبَ

and Yaqub

wayaʿqūba

نَافِلَةًۭ ۖ

(in) addition

nāfilatan

وَكُلًّۭا

and all

wakullan

جَعَلْنَا

We made

jaʿalnā

صَـٰلِحِينَ

righteous

ṣāliḥīna

٧٢

Y le concedí [dos hijos, Ismael e] Isaac, y luego [al hijo de Isaac,] Jacob, y a ambos les hice hombres rectos,

وَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمْ

And We made them

wajaʿalnāhum

أَئِمَّةًۭ

leaders

a-immatan

يَهْدُونَ

they guide

yahdūna

بِأَمْرِنَا

by Our Command

bi-amrinā

وَأَوْحَيْنَآ

And We inspired

wa-awḥaynā

إِلَيْهِمْ

to them

ilayhim

فِعْلَ

(the) doing

fiʿ'la

ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ

(of) good deeds

l-khayrāti

وَإِقَامَ

and establishment

wa-iqāma

ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ

(of) the prayer

l-ṣalati

وَإِيتَآءَ

and giving

waītāa

ٱلزَّكَوٰةِ ۖ

(of) zakah

l-zakati

وَكَانُوا۟

and they were

wakānū

لَنَا

of Us

lanā

عَـٰبِدِينَ

worshippers

ʿābidīna

٧٣

y líderes ejemplares para que guiasen [a la gente] siguiendo Mi voluntad. Y les inspiré realizar buenas obras, practicar la oración prescrita y pagar el zakat. Fueron devotos en la adoración.

وَلُوطًا

And (to) Lut

walūṭan

ءَاتَيْنَـٰهُ

We gave him

ātaynāhu

حُكْمًۭا

judgment

ḥuk'man

وَعِلْمًۭا

and knowledge

waʿil'man

وَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُ

and We saved him

wanajjaynāhu

مِنَ

from

mina

ٱلْقَرْيَةِ

the town

l-qaryati

ٱلَّتِى

which

allatī

كَانَت

was

kānat

تَّعْمَلُ

doing

taʿmalu

ٱلْخَبَـٰٓئِثَ ۗ

wicked deeds

l-khabāitha

إِنَّهُمْ

Indeed, they

innahum

كَانُوا۟

were

kānū

قَوْمَ

a people

qawma

سَوْءٍۢ

evil

sawin

فَـٰسِقِينَ

defiantly disobedient

fāsiqīna

٧٤

A Lot le concedí conocimiento y sabiduría, y lo salvé de la ciudad donde se cometían obscenidades. Era un pueblo malvado lleno de corruptos.

وَأَدْخَلْنَـٰهُ

And We admitted him

wa-adkhalnāhu

فِى

into

fī

رَحْمَتِنَآ ۖ

Our Mercy

raḥmatinā

إِنَّهُۥ

Indeed, he

innahu

مِنَ

(was) of

mina

ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ

the righteous

l-ṣāliḥīna

٧٥

Le hice entrar en Mi misericordia, porque era uno de los justos.

وَنُوحًا

And Nuh

wanūḥan

إِذْ

when

idh

نَادَىٰ

he called

nādā

مِن

before

min

قَبْلُ

before

qablu

فَٱسْتَجَبْنَا

so We responded

fa-is'tajabnā

لَهُۥ

to him

lahu

فَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُ

and We saved him

fanajjaynāhu

وَأَهْلَهُۥ

and his family

wa-ahlahu

مِنَ

from

mina

ٱلْكَرْبِ

the affliction

l-karbi

ٱلْعَظِيمِ

[the] great

l-ʿaẓīmi

٧٦

Cuando antes [de Lot] Noé Me invocó, le respondí [su súplica], salvándole junto a su familia de la gran calamidad.

وَنَصَرْنَـٰهُ

And We helped him

wanaṣarnāhu

مِنَ

from

mina

ٱلْقَوْمِ

the people

l-qawmi

ٱلَّذِينَ

who

alladhīna

كَذَّبُوا۟

denied

kadhabū

بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَآ ۚ

Our Signs

biāyātinā

إِنَّهُمْ

Indeed, they

innahum

كَانُوا۟

were

kānū

قَوْمَ

a people

qawma

سَوْءٍۢ

evil

sawin

فَأَغْرَقْنَـٰهُمْ

so We drowned them

fa-aghraqnāhum

أَجْمَعِينَ

all

ajmaʿīna

٧٧

Le protegí del pueblo que rechazó Mis signos, era un pueblo perverso, y por eso hice que todos se ahogaran.

وَدَاوُۥدَ

And Dawud

wadāwūda

وَسُلَيْمَـٰنَ

and Sulaiman

wasulaymāna

إِذْ

when

idh

يَحْكُمَانِ

they judged

yaḥkumāni

فِى

concerning

fī

ٱلْحَرْثِ

the field

l-ḥarthi

إِذْ

when

idh

نَفَشَتْ

pastured

nafashat

فِيهِ

in it

fīhi

غَنَمُ

sheep

ghanamu

ٱلْقَوْمِ

(of) a people

l-qawmi

وَكُنَّا

and We were

wakunnā

لِحُكْمِهِمْ

to their judgment

liḥuk'mihim

شَـٰهِدِينَ

witness

shāhidīna

٧٨

[Recuerda] cuando [los Profetas] David y Salomón dictaron sentencia sobre un campo sembrado en el que las ovejas de otra gente [habían entrado por la noche arruinándolo], y fui testigo de su sentencia,

فَفَهَّمْنَـٰهَا

And We gave understanding of it

fafahhamnāhā

سُلَيْمَـٰنَ ۚ

(to) Sulaiman

sulaymāna

وَكُلًّا

and (to) each

wakullan

ءَاتَيْنَا

We gave

ātaynā

حُكْمًۭا

judgment

ḥuk'man

وَعِلْمًۭا ۚ

and knowledge

waʿil'man

وَسَخَّرْنَا

And We subjected

wasakharnā

مَعَ

with

maʿa

دَاوُۥدَ

Dawud

dāwūda

ٱلْجِبَالَ

the mountains

l-jibāla

يُسَبِّحْنَ

(to) glorify Our praises

yusabbiḥ'na

وَٱلطَّيْرَ ۚ

and the birds

wal-ṭayra

وَكُنَّا

And We were

wakunnā

فَـٰعِلِينَ

the Doers

fāʿilīna

٧٩

Le hice comprender a Salomón [el veredicto más justo], y a ambos les concedí conocimiento y sabiduría. A David le sometí las montañas y los pájaros para que cantaran junto a él alabanzas a Dios. Así lo hice.

وَعَلَّمْنَـٰهُ

And We taught him

waʿallamnāhu

صَنْعَةَ

(the) making

ṣanʿata

لَبُوسٍۢ

(of) coats of armor

labūsin

لَّكُمْ

for you

lakum

لِتُحْصِنَكُم

to protect you

lituḥ'ṣinakum

مِّنۢ

from

min

بَأْسِكُمْ ۖ

your battle

basikum

فَهَلْ

Then will

fahal

أَنتُمْ

you

antum

شَـٰكِرُونَ

(be) grateful

shākirūna

٨٠

Le enseñé cómo fabricar cotas de malla para que se protegieran en la batalla. ¿Acaso son agradecidos?

وَلِسُلَيْمَـٰنَ

And to Sulaiman

walisulaymāna

ٱلرِّيحَ

the wind

l-rīḥa

عَاصِفَةًۭ

forcefully

ʿāṣifatan

تَجْرِى

blowing

tajrī

بِأَمْرِهِۦٓ

by his command

bi-amrihi

إِلَى

to

ilā

ٱلْأَرْضِ

the land

l-arḍi

ٱلَّتِى

which

allatī

بَـٰرَكْنَا

We blessed

bāraknā

فِيهَا ۚ

[in it]

fīhā

وَكُنَّا

And We are

wakunnā

بِكُلِّ

of every

bikulli

شَىْءٍ

thing

shayin

عَـٰلِمِينَ

Knowers

ʿālimīna

٨١

A Salomón le sometí los vientos fuertes, que soplaban por orden suya hacia la tierra que bendije. Tengo conocimiento de todas las cosas.

وَمِنَ

And of

wamina

ٱلشَّيَـٰطِينِ

the devils

l-shayāṭīni

مَن

(were some) who

man

يَغُوصُونَ

would dive

yaghūṣūna

لَهُۥ

for him

lahu

وَيَعْمَلُونَ

and would do

wayaʿmalūna

عَمَلًۭا

work

ʿamalan

دُونَ

other than

dūna

ذَٰلِكَ ۖ

that

dhālika

وَكُنَّا

And We were

wakunnā

لَهُمْ

of them

lahum

حَـٰفِظِينَ

Guardians

ḥāfiẓīna

٨٢

También le sometí a los demonios, algunos buceaban para él [en busca de perlas y gemas] y también realizaban otras tareas. Yo era su Protector.

۞ وَأَيُّوبَ

And Ayub

wa-ayyūba

إِذْ

when

idh

نَادَىٰ

he called

nādā

رَبَّهُۥٓ

(to) his Lord

rabbahu

أَنِّى

Indeed, [I]

annī

مَسَّنِىَ

has touched me

massaniya

ٱلضُّرُّ

the adversity

l-ḍuru

وَأَنتَ

and You

wa-anta

أَرْحَمُ

(are) Most Merciful

arḥamu

ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ

(of) the Merciful

l-rāḥimīna

٨٣

[El Profeta] Job invocó a su Señor: “[¡Oh, Dios! Tú bien sabes que] he sido probado con enfermedades, pero Tú eres el más Misericordioso”.

فَٱسْتَجَبْنَا

So We responded

fa-is'tajabnā

لَهُۥ

to him

lahu

فَكَشَفْنَا

and We removed

fakashafnā

مَا

what

mā

بِهِۦ

(was) on him

bihi

مِن

of

min

ضُرٍّۢ ۖ

(the) adversity

ḍurrin

وَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُ

And We gave him

waātaynāhu

أَهْلَهُۥ

his family

ahlahu

وَمِثْلَهُم

and (the) like thereof

wamith'lahum

مَّعَهُمْ

with them

maʿahum

رَحْمَةًۭ

(as) Mercy

raḥmatan

مِّنْ

from Ourselves

min

عِندِنَا

from Ourselves

ʿindinā

وَذِكْرَىٰ

and a reminder

wadhik'rā

لِلْعَـٰبِدِينَ

for the worshippers

lil'ʿābidīna

٨٤

Respondí su invocación y lo curé de sus enfermedades, y le di nueva descendencia, multiplicándola como misericordia de Mi parte y como recuerdo para los adoradores devotos.

وَإِسْمَـٰعِيلَ

And Ishmael

wa-is'māʿīla

وَإِدْرِيسَ

and Idris

wa-id'rīsa

وَذَا

and Dhul-Kifl

wadhā

ٱلْكِفْلِ ۖ

and Dhul-Kifl

l-kif'li

كُلٌّۭ

all

kullun

مِّنَ

(were) of

mina

ٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ

the patient ones

l-ṣābirīna

٨٥

[Los profetas] Ismael, Enoc y Dhul-Kifl, todos ellos fueron muy pacientes.

وَأَدْخَلْنَـٰهُمْ

And We admitted them

wa-adkhalnāhum

فِى

in

fī

رَحْمَتِنَآ ۖ

Our Mercy

raḥmatinā

إِنَّهُم

Indeed, they

innahum

مِّنَ

(were) of

mina

ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ

the righteous

l-ṣāliḥīna

٨٦

Les introduje en Mi misericordia porque obraban con justicia.

وَذَا

And Dhun-Nun

wadhā

ٱلنُّونِ

And Dhun-Nun

l-nūni

إِذ

when

idh

ذَّهَبَ

he went

dhahaba

مُغَـٰضِبًۭا

(while) angry

mughāḍiban

فَظَنَّ

and thought

faẓanna

أَن

that

an

لَّن

never

lan

نَّقْدِرَ

We would decree

naqdira

عَلَيْهِ

upon him

ʿalayhi

فَنَادَىٰ

Then he called

fanādā

فِى

in

fī

ٱلظُّلُمَـٰتِ

the darkness(es)

l-ẓulumāti

أَن

that

an

لَّآ

(There is) no

lā

إِلَـٰهَ

god

ilāha

إِلَّآ

except

illā

أَنتَ

You

anta

سُبْحَـٰنَكَ

Glory be to You

sub'ḥānaka

إِنِّى

Indeed, [I]

innī

كُنتُ

I am

kuntu

مِنَ

of

mina

ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

the wrongdoers

l-ẓālimīna

٨٧

[El Profeta] Jonás, cuando se marchó enojado [con la gente de su pueblo que se negó a creer en él], pensó que no lo iba a castigar [por no haber tenido paciencia, pero lo hice tragar por la ballena], e invocó desde la oscuridad [de su estómago]: “No hay otra divinidad más que Tú. ¡Glorificado seas! En verdad he sido de los injustos”.

فَٱسْتَجَبْنَا

So We responded

fa-is'tajabnā

لَهُۥ

to him

lahu

وَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُ

and We saved him

wanajjaynāhu

مِنَ

from

mina

ٱلْغَمِّ ۚ

the distress

l-ghami

وَكَذَٰلِكَ

And thus

wakadhālika

نُـۨجِى

We save

nunjī

ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

the believers

l-mu'minīna

٨٨

Respondí su súplica y lo libré de su angustia. Así salvo a los creyentes.

وَزَكَرِيَّآ

And Zakariya

wazakariyyā

إِذْ

when

idh

نَادَىٰ

he called

nādā

رَبَّهُۥ

(to) his Lord

rabbahu

رَبِّ

My Lord

rabbi

لَا

(Do) not

lā

تَذَرْنِى

leave me

tadharnī

فَرْدًۭا

alone

fardan

وَأَنتَ

while You

wa-anta

خَيْرُ

(are) [the] Best

khayru

ٱلْوَٰرِثِينَ

(of) the inheritors

l-wārithīna

٨٩

Cuando [el profeta] Zacarías invocó a su Señor: “¡Señor mío! No me dejes solo [sin hijos]. Tú eres Quien concede descendencia”.

فَٱسْتَجَبْنَا

So We responded

fa-is'tajabnā

لَهُۥ

to him

lahu

وَوَهَبْنَا

and We bestowed

wawahabnā

لَهُۥ

on him

lahu

يَحْيَىٰ

Yahya

yaḥyā

وَأَصْلَحْنَا

and We cured

wa-aṣlaḥnā

لَهُۥ

for him

lahu

زَوْجَهُۥٓ ۚ

his wife

zawjahu

إِنَّهُمْ

Indeed, they

innahum

كَانُوا۟

used (to)

kānū

يُسَـٰرِعُونَ

hasten

yusāriʿūna

فِى

in

fī

ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ

good deeds

l-khayrāti

وَيَدْعُونَنَا

and they supplicate to Us

wayadʿūnanā

رَغَبًۭا

(in) hope

raghaban

وَرَهَبًۭا ۖ

and fear

warahaban

وَكَانُوا۟

and they were

wakānū

لَنَا

to Us

lanā

خَـٰشِعِينَ

humbly submissive

khāshiʿīna

٩٠

Respondí su súplica y le agracié con [su hijo] Juan, haciendo que su mujer fuera otra vez fértil. Los agracié porque siempre se apresuraban a realizar obras buenas, Me invocaban con temor y esperanza, y eran humildes ante Mí.

وَٱلَّتِىٓ

And she who

wa-allatī

أَحْصَنَتْ

guarded

aḥṣanat

فَرْجَهَا

her chastity

farjahā

فَنَفَخْنَا

so We breathed

fanafakhnā

فِيهَا

into her

fīhā

مِن

of

min

رُّوحِنَا

Our Spirit

rūḥinā

وَجَعَلْنَـٰهَا

and We made her

wajaʿalnāhā

وَٱبْنَهَآ

and her son

wa-ib'nahā

ءَايَةًۭ

a sign

āyatan

لِّلْعَـٰلَمِينَ

for the worlds

lil'ʿālamīna

٩١

[Recuerda] a aquella que conservó su virginidad, cuando insuflé un espíritu Mío en ella. Así hice de ella y su hijo un signo [de Mi poder divino] para toda la humanidad.

إِنَّ

Indeed

inna

هَـٰذِهِۦٓ

this

hādhihi

أُمَّتُكُمْ

(is) your religion

ummatukum

أُمَّةًۭ

religion

ummatan

وَٰحِدَةًۭ

one

wāḥidatan

وَأَنَا۠

and I Am

wa-anā

رَبُّكُمْ

your Lord

rabbukum

فَٱعْبُدُونِ

so worship Me

fa-uʿ'budūni

٩٢

La religión de todos los Profetas es una religión única. Yo soy vuestro Señor, ¡adoradme solo a Mí!

وَتَقَطَّعُوٓا۟

But they cut off

wataqaṭṭaʿū

أَمْرَهُم

their affair

amrahum

بَيْنَهُمْ ۖ

among themselves

baynahum

كُلٌّ

all

kullun

إِلَيْنَا

to Us

ilaynā

رَٰجِعُونَ

(will) return

rājiʿūna

٩٣

Pero luego [las generaciones que vinieron después] se dividieron, aunque todos regresarán ante Mí.

فَمَن

Then whoever

faman

يَعْمَلْ

does

yaʿmal

مِنَ

[of]

mina

ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ

[the] righteous deeds

l-ṣāliḥāti

وَهُوَ

while he

wahuwa

مُؤْمِنٌۭ

(is) a believer

mu'minun

فَلَا

then not

falā

كُفْرَانَ

(will be) rejected

kuf'rāna

لِسَعْيِهِۦ

[of] his effort

lisaʿyihi

وَإِنَّا

And indeed, We

wa-innā

لَهُۥ

of it

lahu

كَـٰتِبُونَ

(are) Recorders

kātibūna

٩٤

Quien sea creyente y realice obras buenas sepa que no habrá ingratitud para su esfuerzo. Todo lo tengo registrado.

وَحَرَٰمٌ

And (there is) prohibition

waḥarāmun

عَلَىٰ

upon

ʿalā

قَرْيَةٍ

a city

qaryatin

أَهْلَكْنَـٰهَآ

which We have destroyed

ahlaknāhā

أَنَّهُمْ

that they

annahum

لَا

not

lā

يَرْجِعُونَ

will return

yarjiʿūna

٩٥

Es imposible que [los habitantes de] una ciudad que haya destruido vuelvan [a este mundo y se puedan arrepentir de su incredulidad].

حَتَّىٰٓ

Until

ḥattā

إِذَا

when

idhā

فُتِحَتْ

has been opened

futiḥat

يَأْجُوجُ

(for) the Yajuj

yajūju

وَمَأْجُوجُ

and Majuj

wamajūju

وَهُم

and they

wahum

مِّن

from

min

كُلِّ

every

kulli

حَدَبٍۢ

elevation

ḥadabin

يَنسِلُونَ

descend

yansilūna

٩٦

[Cuando se aproxime el Último Día] serán liberados Gog y Magog, y se precipitarán desde las colinas [devastando cuanto encuentren a su paso].

وَٱقْتَرَبَ

And has approached

wa-iq'taraba

ٱلْوَعْدُ

the promise

l-waʿdu

ٱلْحَقُّ

[the] true

l-ḥaqu

فَإِذَا

then behold

fa-idhā

هِىَ

[it]

hiya

شَـٰخِصَةٌ

(are) staring

shākhiṣatun

أَبْصَـٰرُ

(the) eyes

abṣāru

ٱلَّذِينَ

(of) those who

alladhīna

كَفَرُوا۟

disbelieved

kafarū

يَـٰوَيْلَنَا

O woe to us

yāwaylanā

قَدْ

Verily

qad

كُنَّا

we had been

kunnā

فِى

in

fī

غَفْلَةٍۢ

heedlessness

ghaflatin

مِّنْ

of

min

هَـٰذَا

this

hādhā

بَلْ

nay

bal

كُنَّا

we were

kunnā

ظَـٰلِمِينَ

wrongdoers

ẓālimīna

٩٧

La promesa de la verdad se acerca. Cuando llegue, la mirada de los que se negaron a creer quedará fija [y exclamarán:] “¡Ay de nosotros! Éramos indiferentes a esta realidad y fuimos de los malhechores”.

إِنَّكُمْ

Indeed, you

innakum

وَمَا

and what

wamā

تَعْبُدُونَ

you worship

taʿbudūna

مِن

besides Allah

min

دُونِ

besides Allah

dūni

ٱللَّهِ

besides Allah

l-lahi

حَصَبُ

(are) firewood

ḥaṣabu

جَهَنَّمَ

(of) Hell

jahannama

أَنتُمْ

You

antum

لَهَا

to it

lahā

وَٰرِدُونَ

will come

wāridūna

٩٨

Vosotros y cuanto adoráis en vez de Dios seréis combustible para el fuego del Infierno en el que ingresaréis.

لَوْ

If

law

كَانَ

were

kāna

هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ

these

hāulāi

ءَالِهَةًۭ

gods

ālihatan

مَّا

not

mā

وَرَدُوهَا ۖ

they (would) have come to it

waradūhā

وَكُلٌّۭ

And all

wakullun

فِيهَا

therein

fīhā

خَـٰلِدُونَ

will abide forever

khālidūna

٩٩

Si estos [ídolos] fueran divinidades como vosotros pretendéis, no ingresarían en él. Pero todos vosotros junto a lo que adoráis estaréis allí por toda la eternidad.

لَهُمْ

For them

lahum

فِيهَا

therein

زَفِيرٌۭ

(is) sighing

zafīrun

وَهُمْ

and they

wahum

فِيهَا

therein

fīhā

لَا

not

lā

يَسْمَعُونَ

will hear

yasmaʿūna

١٠٠

Allí emitirán alaridos [por el tormento], y por eso no podrán oír nada más.

إِنَّ

Indeed

inna

ٱلَّذِينَ

those

alladhīna

سَبَقَتْ

has gone forth

sabaqat

لَهُم

for them

lahum

مِّنَّا

from Us

minnā

ٱلْحُسْنَىٰٓ

the good

l-ḥus'nā

أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ

those

ulāika

عَنْهَا

from it

ʿanhā

مُبْعَدُونَ

(will be) removed far

mub'ʿadūna

١٠١

Pero aquellos para quienes estaba decretado que recibirían “lo más hermoso”, estarán alejados del Infierno,

they will hear

حَسِيسَهَا ۖ

(the) slightest sound of it

ḥasīsahā

وَهُمْ

and they

wahum

فِى

in

fī

مَا

ٱشْتَهَتْ

desire

ish'tahat

أَنفُسُهُمْ

their souls

anfusuhum

خَـٰلِدُونَ

will abide forever

khālidūna

١٠٢

No oirán su crepitar y disfrutarán lo que deseen por toda la eternidad.

Not

lā

يَحْزُنُهُمُ

will grieve them

yaḥzunuhumu

ٱلْفَزَعُ

the terror

l-fazaʿu

ٱلْأَكْبَرُ

[the] greatest

l-akbaru

وَتَتَلَقَّىٰهُمُ

and will meet them

watatalaqqāhumu

ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ

the Angels

l-malāikatu

هَـٰذَا

This

hādhā

يَوْمُكُمُ

(is) your Day

yawmukumu

ٱلَّذِى

which

alladhī

كُنتُمْ

you were

kuntum

تُوعَدُونَ

promised

tūʿadūna

١٠٣

No les afligirá el gran espanto [del castigo], y los ángeles acudirán a su encuentro [cuando salgan de las tumbas y les dirán]: “Éste es el día que se les había prometido”.

يَوْمَ

(The) Day

yawma

نَطْوِى

We will fold

naṭwī

ٱلسَّمَآءَ

the heaven

l-samāa

كَطَىِّ

like (the) folding

kaṭayyi

ٱلسِّجِلِّ

(of) a scroll

l-sijili

لِلْكُتُبِ ۚ

for records

lil'kutubi

كَمَا

As

kamā

بَدَأْنَآ

We began

badanā

أَوَّلَ

(the) first

awwala

خَلْقٍۢ

creation

khalqin

نُّعِيدُهُۥ ۚ

We will repeat it

nuʿīduhu

وَعْدًا

a promise

waʿdan

عَلَيْنَآ ۚ

upon Us

ʿalaynā

إِنَّا

Indeed, We

innā

كُنَّا

We are

kunnā

فَـٰعِلِينَ

(the) Doers

fāʿilīna

١٠٤

El cielo ese día será enrollado como un pergamino. Así como inicié la primera creación, la repetiré. Ésta es una promesa que he de cumplir.

وَلَقَدْ

And verily

walaqad

كَتَبْنَا

We have written

katabnā

فِى

in

fī

ٱلزَّبُورِ

the Scripture

l-zabūri

مِنۢ

after

min

بَعْدِ

after

baʿdi

ٱلذِّكْرِ

the mention

l-dhik'ri

أَنَّ

that

anna

ٱلْأَرْضَ

the earth

l-arḍa

يَرِثُهَا

will inherit it

yarithuhā

عِبَادِىَ

My slaves

ʿibādiya

ٱلصَّـٰلِحُونَ

the righteous

l-ṣāliḥūna

١٠٥

Ya mencioné anteriormente en las Escrituras Reveladas como lo había hecho en la Tabla Protegida, que la Tierra será heredada por Mis siervos justos.

إِنَّ

Indeed

inna

فِى

in

fī

هَـٰذَا

this

hādhā

لَبَلَـٰغًۭا

surely is a Message

labalāghan

لِّقَوْمٍ

for a people

liqawmin

عَـٰبِدِينَ

worshippers

ʿābidīna

١٠٦

En esto hay mensaje suficiente para un pueblo que realmente adora a Dios.

وَمَآ

And not

wamā

أَرْسَلْنَـٰكَ

We have sent you

arsalnāka

إِلَّا

but

illā

رَحْمَةًۭ

(as) a mercy

raḥmatan

لِّلْعَـٰلَمِينَ

for the worlds

lil'ʿālamīna

١٠٧

No te he enviado [¡Oh, Muhámmad!] sino como misericordia para todos los seres.

قُلْ

Say

qul

إِنَّمَا

Only

innamā

يُوحَىٰٓ

it is revealed

yūḥā

إِلَىَّ

to me

ilayya

أَنَّمَآ

that

annamā

إِلَـٰهُكُمْ

your god

ilāhukum

إِلَـٰهٌۭ

(is) God

ilāhun

وَٰحِدٌۭ ۖ

One

wāḥidun

فَهَلْ

so will

fahal

أَنتُم

you

antum

مُّسْلِمُونَ

submit (to Him)

mus'limūna

١٠٨

Diles: “Me ha sido revelado que Dios es un Dios único. ¿Acaso no vais a ser musulmanes?

فَإِن

But if

fa-in

تَوَلَّوْا۟

they turn away

tawallaw

فَقُلْ

then say

faqul

ءَاذَنتُكُمْ

I (have) announced to you

ādhantukum

عَلَىٰ

equally

ʿalā

سَوَآءٍۢ ۖ

equally

sawāin

وَإِنْ

And not

wa-in

أَدْرِىٓ

I know

adrī

أَقَرِيبٌ

whether is near

aqarībun

أَم

or

am

بَعِيدٌۭ

far

baʿīdun

مَّا

what

mā

تُوعَدُونَ

you are promised

tūʿadūna

١٠٩

Pero si rechazan [el Mensaje] diles: “Os advierto sobre un castigo que caerá sobre todos por igual, aunque no tengo conocimiento de si lo que os advierto está cerca o lejos.

إِنَّهُۥ

Indeed, He

innahu

يَعْلَمُ

knows

yaʿlamu

ٱلْجَهْرَ

the declared

l-jahra

مِنَ

[of]

mina

ٱلْقَوْلِ

[the] speech

l-qawli

وَيَعْلَمُ

and He knows

wayaʿlamu

مَا

what

mā

تَكْتُمُونَ

you conceal

taktumūna

١١٠

Él bien sabe tanto lo que dicen abiertamente como lo que dicen en secreto.

وَإِنْ

And not

wa-in

أَدْرِى

I know

adrī

لَعَلَّهُۥ

perhaps it may be

laʿallahu

فِتْنَةٌۭ

a trial

fit'natun

لَّكُمْ

for you

lakum

وَمَتَـٰعٌ

and an enjoyment

wamatāʿun

إِلَىٰ

for

ilā

حِينٍۢ

a time

ḥīnin

١١١

Pero ignoro si Él os está poniendo a prueba al toleraros y dejaros disfrutar de la vida [mundanal] por un tiempo”.

قَـٰلَ

He said

qāla

رَبِّ

My Lord

rabbi

ٱحْكُم

judge

uḥ'kum

بِٱلْحَقِّ ۗ

in truth

bil-ḥaqi

وَرَبُّنَا

And our Lord

warabbunā

ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ

(is) the Most Gracious

l-raḥmānu

ٱلْمُسْتَعَانُ

the One Whose help is sought

l-mus'taʿānu

عَلَىٰ

against

ʿalā

مَا

what

mā

تَصِفُونَ

you attribute

taṣifūna

١١٢

Di: “¡Señor mío! Juzga con la verdad. Nuestro Señor es el Misericordioso, Aquel a quien recurrir contra lo que le atribuyen [falsamente a Dios].
