تِلْكَ

These

til'ka

ءَايَـٰتُ

(are the) Verses

āyātu

ٱلْقُرْءَانِ

(of) the Quran

l-qur'āni

وَكِتَابٍۢ

and a Book

wakitābin

مُّبِينٍ

clear

mubīnin

١

Ta’. Sin. Estos son los versículos del Corán, el Libro evidente,

A guidance

وَبُشْرَىٰ

and glad tidings

لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

Those who

يُقِيمُونَ

ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ

وَيُؤْتُونَ

zakah

l-zakata

وَهُم

and they

wahum

بِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ

in the Hereafter

bil-ākhirati

هُمْ

[they]

hum

يُوقِنُونَ

believe with certainty

yūqinūna

٣

que cumplen con la oración prescrita, pagan el zakat y están convencidos de la existencia de la otra vida.

Indeed

بِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ

زَيَّنَّا

We have made fair-seeming

zayyannā

لَهُمْ

to them

lahum

أَعْمَـٰلَهُمْ

their deeds

aʿmālahum

فَهُمْ

so they

fahum

يَعْمَهُونَ

wander blindly

yaʿmahūna

٤

En cambio, a quienes no crean en la otra vida les haré ver como buenas sus malas acciones, y así vagarán ciegos de un lado a otro.

Those

ulāika

ٱلَّذِينَ

(are) the ones

alladhīna

لَهُمْ

for them

lahum

سُوٓءُ

(is) an evil

sūu

ٱلْعَذَابِ

[the] punishment

l-ʿadhābi

وَهُمْ

and they

wahum

فِى

in

fī

ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ

the Hereafter

l-ākhirati

هُمُ

[they]

humu

ٱلْأَخْسَرُونَ

(will be) the greatest losers

Esos sufrirán el peor castigo, y en la otra vida serán los perdedores.

And indeed, you

surely, receive

the Quran

the All-Wise

عَلِيمٍ

the All-Knower

ʿalīmin

Tú [¡Oh, Muhámmad!] recibes el Corán que proviene del Sabio, el Conocedor.

a fire

سَـَٔاتِيكُم

I will bring you

saātīkum

مِّنْهَا

from it

min'hā

بِخَبَرٍ

some information

bikhabarin

أَوْ

or

aw

ءَاتِيكُم

I will bring you

ātīkum

بِشِهَابٍۢ

a torch

bishihābin

قَبَسٍۢ

burning

qabasin

لَّعَلَّكُمْ

so that you may

laʿallakum

تَصْطَلُونَ

warm yourselves

taṣṭalūna

٧

[Recuerda] cuando Moisés dijo a su familia: “He divisado un fuego. Os traeré noticias de él [para orientarnos], o bien una brasa encendida para que podamos calentarnos”.

فَلَمَّا

But when

جَآءَهَا

he came to it

نُودِىَ

he was called

nūdiya

أَنۢ

[that]

an

بُورِكَ

Blessed is

būrika

مَن

who

man

فِى

(is) at

fī

ٱلنَّارِ

the fire

l-nāri

وَمَنْ

and whoever

waman

حَوْلَهَا

(is) around it

ḥawlahā

وَسُبْحَـٰنَ

And glory be

wasub'ḥāna

ٱللَّهِ

(to) Allah

l-lahi

رَبِّ

(the) Lord

rabbi

ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ

(of) the worlds

l-ʿālamīna

٨

Cuando llegó a él, una voz le llamó: “¡Bendito sea quien está donde el fuego y quienes están a su alrededor. ¡Glorificado sea Dios, Señor del universo!

يَـٰمُوسَىٰٓ

O Musa

yāmūsā

إِنَّهُۥٓ

Indeed

innahu

أَنَا

I Am

anā

ٱللَّهُ

Allah

l-lahu

ٱلْعَزِيزُ

the All-Mighty

l-ʿazīzu

ٱلْحَكِيمُ

the All-Wise

l-ḥakīmu

٩

¡Oh, Moisés! Yo soy Dios, el Poderoso, el Sabio.

وَأَلْقِ

And, "Throw

wa-alqi

عَصَاكَ ۚ

your staff

ʿaṣāka

فَلَمَّا

But when

falammā

رَءَاهَا

he saw it

تَهْتَزُّ

moving

كَأَنَّهَا

as if it

ka-annahā

جَآنٌّۭ

(were) a snake

jānnun

وَلَّىٰ

he turned back

wallā

مُدْبِرًۭا

(in) flight

mud'biran

وَلَمْ

and (did) not

walam

يُعَقِّبْ ۚ

look back

yuʿaqqib

يَـٰمُوسَىٰ

O Musa

yāmūsā

لَا

(Do) not

lā

تَخَفْ

fear

takhaf

إِنِّى

Indeed, [I]

innī

لَا

(do) not

lā

يَخَافُ

fear

yakhāfu

لَدَىَّ

(in) My presence

ladayya

ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ

the Messengers

l-mur'salūna

١٠

Arroja tu vara”. Cuando la vio moverse como si fuera una serpiente, atemorizado se dio vuelta buscando alejarse sin mirar atrás. [Pero Dios le dijo:] “¡Oh, Moisés! No tengas temor; los mensajeros no deben temer cuando están ante Mí.

فَإِنِّى

then indeed, I Am

fa-innī

غَفُورٌۭ

Oft-Forgiving

ghafūrun

رَّحِيمٌۭ

Most Merciful

raḥīmun

١١

Sí, en cambio, quien haya obrado injustamente. Pero si enmienda, sabed que Yo soy Absolvedor, Misericordioso.

And enter

يَدَكَ

your hand

جَيْبِكَ

your bosom

تَخْرُجْ

it will come forth

مِنْ

غَيْرِ

ghayri

سُوٓءٍۢ ۖ

harm

فِى

(These are) among

fī

تِسْعِ

nine

tis'ʿi

ءَايَـٰتٍ

signs

āyātin

إِلَىٰ

to

ilā

فِرْعَوْنَ

Firaun

fir'ʿawna

وَقَوْمِهِۦٓ ۚ

and his people

waqawmihi

إِنَّهُمْ

Indeed, they

innahum

كَانُوا۟

are

kānū

قَوْمًۭا

a people

qawman

فَـٰسِقِينَ

defiantly disobedient

fāsiqīna

١٢

Introduce tu mano por el cuello de tu túnica y saldrá blanca, resplandeciente, sin tener ningún mal. Esto es parte de los nueve signos destinados al Faraón y a su pueblo. Ellos son un pueblo perverso”.

فَلَمَّا

But when

falammā

جَآءَتْهُمْ

came to them

jāathum

ءَايَـٰتُنَا

Our Signs

āyātunā

مُبْصِرَةًۭ

visible

mub'ṣiratan

قَالُوا۟

they said

qālū

هَـٰذَا

This

hādhā

سِحْرٌۭ

(is) a magic

siḥ'run

مُّبِينٌۭ

manifest

mubīnun

١٣

Pero cuando Mis Signos fueron visibles ante ellos, exclamaron: “Esto es un hechizo evidente”.

وَجَحَدُوا۟

And they rejected

wajaḥadū

بِهَا

them

bihā

وَٱسْتَيْقَنَتْهَآ

though were convinced with them (signs)

wa-is'tayqanathā

أَنفُسُهُمْ

themselves

anfusuhum

ظُلْمًۭا

(out of) injustice

ẓul'man

وَعُلُوًّۭا ۚ

and haughtiness

waʿuluwwan

فَٱنظُرْ

So see

fa-unẓur

كَيْفَ

how

kayfa

كَانَ

was

kāna

عَـٰقِبَةُ

(the) end

ʿāqibatu

ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ

(of) the corrupters

l-muf'sidīna

١٤

Rechazaron los Signos, a pesar de estar convencidos [de que provenían de Dios], por perversidad y arrogancia. ¡Observa cuál fue el destino de los corruptores!

وَلَقَدْ

And verily

walaqad

ءَاتَيْنَا

We gave

ātaynā

دَاوُۥدَ

Dawood

dāwūda

وَسُلَيْمَـٰنَ

and Sulaiman

wasulaymāna

عِلْمًۭا ۖ

knowledge

ʿil'man

وَقَالَا

and they said

waqālā

ٱلْحَمْدُ

Praise be

l-ḥamdu

لِلَّهِ

to Allah

lillahi

ٱلَّذِى

the One Who

alladhī

فَضَّلَنَا

has favored us

faḍḍalanā

عَلَىٰ

over

ʿalā

كَثِيرٍۢ

many

kathīrin

مِّنْ

of

min

عِبَادِهِ

His servants

ʿibādihi

ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

the believers

l-mu'minīna

١٥

Concedí a David y a Salomón el conocimiento. Ambos dijeron: “¡Alabado sea Dios! Quien nos ha favorecido sobre muchos de Sus siervos creyentes”.

وَوَرِثَ

And inherited

wawaritha

سُلَيْمَـٰنُ

Sulaiman

sulaymānu

دَاوُۥدَ ۖ

Dawood

dāwūda

وَقَالَ

And he said

waqāla

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا

O

yāayyuhā

ٱلنَّاسُ

people

l-nāsu

عُلِّمْنَا

We have been taught

ʿullim'nā

مَنطِقَ

(the) language

manṭiqa

ٱلطَّيْرِ

(of) the birds

l-ṭayri

وَأُوتِينَا

and we have been given

waūtīnā

مِن

from

min

كُلِّ

every

kulli

شَىْءٍ ۖ

thing

shayin

إِنَّ

Indeed

inna

هَـٰذَا

this

hādhā

لَهُوَ

surely, it

lahuwa

ٱلْفَضْلُ

(is) the favor

l-faḍlu

ٱلْمُبِينُ

evident

l-mubīnu

١٦

Salomón sucedió a David [en la profecía]. Dijo: “¡Oh, gente! Se me ha enseñado el lenguaje de los pájaros y se nos han concedido numerosos favores. Esto es una gracia evidente”.

وَحُشِرَ

And were gathered

waḥushira

لِسُلَيْمَـٰنَ

for Sulaiman

lisulaymāna

جُنُودُهُۥ

his hosts

junūduhu

مِنَ

of

mina

ٱلْجِنِّ

jinn

l-jini

وَٱلْإِنسِ

and the men

wal-insi

وَٱلطَّيْرِ

and the birds

wal-ṭayri

فَهُمْ

and they

fahum

يُوزَعُونَ

(were) set in rows

yūzaʿūna

١٧

Fueron concentradas ante Salomón en perfecta formación sus tropas de yinn, de seres humanos y de pájaros.

حَتَّىٰٓ

Until

ḥattā

إِذَآ

when

أَتَوْا۟

they came

عَلَىٰ

ʿalā

وَادِ

(the) valley

ٱلنَّمْلِ

(of) the ants

قَالَتْ

said

qālat

نَمْلَةٌۭ

an ant

namlatun

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا

O

yāayyuhā

ٱلنَّمْلُ

ants

ٱدْخُلُوا۟

Enter

ud'khulū

مَسَـٰكِنَكُمْ

your dwellings

masākinakum

لَا

lest not crush you

lā

يَحْطِمَنَّكُمْ

lest not crush you

yaḥṭimannakum

سُلَيْمَـٰنُ

Sulaiman

sulaymānu

وَجُنُودُهُۥ

and his hosts

wajunūduhu

وَهُمْ

while they

wahum

لَا

(do) not perceive

lā

يَشْعُرُونَ

(do) not perceive

yashʿurūna

١٨

Al pasar por un valle donde había hormigas, una de ellas dijo: “¡Oh, hormigas! Entrad en vuestros hormigueros, no sea que Salomón y sus tropas os pisen sin darse cuenta”.

فَتَبَسَّمَ

So he smiled

My Lord

أَوْزِعْنِىٓ

Grant me (the) power

awziʿ'nī

أَنْ

أَشْكُرَ

I may thank You

ashkura

نِعْمَتَكَ

(for) Your Favor

niʿ'mataka

ٱلَّتِىٓ

which

allatī

أَنْعَمْتَ

You have bestowed

anʿamta

عَلَىَّ

on me

ʿalayya

وَعَلَىٰ

and on

waʿalā

وَٰلِدَىَّ

my parents

wālidayya

وَأَنْ

and that

wa-an

أَعْمَلَ

I may do

aʿmala

صَـٰلِحًۭا

righteous (deeds)

ṣāliḥan

تَرْضَىٰهُ

that will please You

tarḍāhu

وَأَدْخِلْنِى

And admit me

wa-adkhil'nī

بِرَحْمَتِكَ

by Your Mercy

biraḥmatika

فِى

among

fī

عِبَادِكَ

Your slaves

ʿibādika

ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ

righteous

l-ṣāliḥīna

١٩

[Salomón] al oír lo que ella decía, sonrió y exclamó: “¡Señor mío! Haz que te agradezca los favores que nos has concedido, tanto a mí como a mis padres, que haga obras de bien que Te complazcan, y cuéntame, por Tu misericordia, entre Tus siervos justos”.

وَتَفَقَّدَ

And he inspected

the birds

فَقَالَ

and said

ٱلْهُدْهُدَ

the hoopoe

[Luego] pasó revista a los pájaros y dijo: “¿Por qué no veo a la abubilla? ¿Acaso está ausente?

لَأُعَذِّبَنَّهُۥ

I will surely punish him

عَذَابًۭا

(with) a punishment

ʿadhāban

شَدِيدًا

أَوْ

لَأَا۟ذْبَحَنَّهُۥٓ

I will surely slaughter him

laādh'baḥannahu

أَوْ

unless

لَيَأْتِيَنِّى

he brings me

layatiyannī

بِسُلْطَـٰنٍۢ

a reason

bisul'ṭānin

مُّبِينٍۢ

clear

mubīnin

٢١

La castigaré severamente o la degollaré, a menos que me presente una excusa convincente”.

So he stayed

وَجِئْتُكَ

and I have come to you

waji'tuka

مِن

from

سَبَإٍۭ

Saba

saba-in

بِنَبَإٍۢ

with news

binaba-in

يَقِينٍ

certain

yaqīnin

٢٢

No tardó mucho en regresar, y [al volver] dijo: “Tengo conocimiento de algo que tú ignoras. Te traigo desde Saba información fidedigna.

Indeed, I

وَجَدتُّ

found

ٱمْرَأَةًۭ

a woman

تَمْلِكُهُمْ

ruling them

وَأُوتِيَتْ

and she has been given

مِن

of

min

كُلِّ

every

kulli

شَىْءٍۢ

thing

shayin

وَلَهَا

and for her

walahā

عَرْشٌ

(is) a throne

ʿarshun

عَظِيمٌۭ

great

ʿaẓīmun

٢٣

He descubierto que allí reina una mujer, a la que se le ha concedido mucha riqueza y poder, y posee un Trono majestuoso.

And I found her

and her people

يَسْجُدُونَ

لِلشَّمْسِ

to the sun

instead of Allah

dūni

ٱللَّهِ

instead of Allah

l-lahi

وَزَيَّنَ

and has made fair-seeming

wazayyana

لَهُمُ

to them

lahumu

ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ

the Shaitaan

l-shayṭānu

أَعْمَـٰلَهُمْ

their deeds

aʿmālahum

فَصَدَّهُمْ

and averted them

faṣaddahum

عَنِ

from

ʿani

ٱلسَّبِيلِ

the Way

l-sabīli

فَهُمْ

so they

fahum

لَا

(are) not

lā

يَهْتَدُونَ

guided

yahtadūna

Encontré que ella y su pueblo se prosternan ante el Sol, en vez de hacerlo ante Dios. El demonio les ha hecho ver sus malas obras como buenas, apartándolos del sendero recto y por eso no pueden ver la verdad.

وَمَا

تُعْلِنُونَ

you declare

وَكَذَٰلِكَ

مِّمَّآ

than what

mimmā

ءَاتَىٰكُم

He has given you

ātākum

بَلْ

Nay

bal

أَنتُم

you

antum

بِهَدِيَّتِكُمْ

in your gift

bihadiyyatikum

تَفْرَحُونَ

rejoice

tafraḥūna

٣٦

Cuando [los emisarios] se presentaron ante Salomón, [este] dijo: “¿Acaso me ofrecéis riquezas [para tentarme], cuando lo que Dios me ha concedido es mejor que las riquezas con las que Él os ha provisto? Sois vosotros quienes os complacéis con vuestros regalos.

(will be) abased

ṣāghirūna

Regresad a vuestro pueblo [con los regalos, y advertid] que los combatiremos con huestes a las que no podrán vencer, y los expulsaremos de su tierra, sometidos y humillados”.

هَـٰذَا

This

(is) from

فَضْلِ

(the) Favor

faḍli

رَبِّى

(of) my Lord

rabbī

لِيَبْلُوَنِىٓ

to test me

liyabluwanī

ءَأَشْكُرُ

whether I am grateful

a-ashkuru

أَمْ

or

am

أَكْفُرُ ۖ

I am ungrateful

akfuru

وَمَن

And whoever

waman

شَكَرَ

(is) grateful

shakara

فَإِنَّمَا

then only

fa-innamā

يَشْكُرُ

he is grateful

yashkuru

لِنَفْسِهِۦ ۖ

for his own soul

linafsihi

وَمَن

And whoever

waman

كَفَرَ

(is) ungrateful

kafara

فَإِنَّ

then indeed

fa-inna

رَبِّى

my Lord

rabbī

غَنِىٌّۭ

(is) Self-sufficient

ghaniyyun

كَرِيمٌۭ

Noble

karīmun

Dijo [un creyente piadoso] que tenía conocimiento del Libro: “Yo te lo traeré antes de que parpadees”. Y cuando [Salomón] lo vio delante de él dijo: “Esta es una de las gracias de mi Señor para probarme si soy agradecido o ingrato. Quien agradezca [las gracias de su Señor] se beneficiará a sí mismo, pero quien sea ingrato sepa que mi Señor es Opulento, Generoso”.

وَكُنَّا

and we have been

wakunnā

مُسْلِمِينَ

Muslims

mus'limīna

٤٢

Cuando ella llegó, se le preguntó: “¿Así es tu trono?” Respondió: “Pareciera que fuera él”. [Dijo Salomón:] “Recibimos el conocimiento antes que ella y nos sometimos a Dios”.

قَوَارِيرَ ۗ

قَالَتْ

She said

رَبِّ

My Lord

rabbi

إِنِّى

indeed, I

ظَلَمْتُ

[I] have wronged

ẓalamtu

نَفْسِى

myself

nafsī

وَأَسْلَمْتُ

and I submit

wa-aslamtu

مَعَ

with

maʿa

سُلَيْمَـٰنَ

Sulaiman

لِلَّهِ

to Allah

رَبِّ

ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ

(of) the worlds

Se le dijo: “Entra en el palacio [que los yinn habían construido para Salomón]”. Cuando ella lo vio, pensó que ingresaría a un estanque de agua y se recogió el vestido. Dijo [Salomón]: “Todo este palacio es de cristal pulido”. Dijo ella: “¡Señor mío! He sido injusta conmigo misma [al adorar a otros junto a Dios], me someto junto con Salomón al [único] Dios, el Señor del universo”.

Then behold

fa-idhā

هُمْ

They

hum

فَرِيقَانِ

(became) two parties

farīqāni

يَخْتَصِمُونَ

quarreling

yakhtaṣimūna

٤٥

Al pueblo llamado Zamud le envié a su hermano Sálih [como Profeta, quien les dijo]: “Adorad solo a Dios”. Pero ellos se dividieron en dos grupos que disputaban entre sí.

O my people

تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ

(do) you seek to hasten

قَبْلَ

ٱلْحَسَنَةِ ۖ

the good

l-ḥasanati

لَوْلَا

Why not

lawlā

تَسْتَغْفِرُونَ

you ask forgiveness

tastaghfirūna

ٱللَّهَ

(of) Allah

l-laha

لَعَلَّكُمْ

so that you may

laʿallakum

تُرْحَمُونَ

receive mercy

tur'ḥamūna

Les dijo: “¡Oh, pueblo mío! ¿Por qué preferís obrar mal en vez de obrar bien? ¿Por qué no pedís perdón a Dios para alcanzar la misericordia?”

We consider you a bad omen

قَوْمٌۭ

(are) a people

qawmun

تُفْتَنُونَ

being tested

Dijeron: “Creemos que tú y quienes te siguen nos traen mala suerte”. Respondió: “Vuestras adversidades os las envía Dios [por vuestros pecados]. Sois un pueblo que ha sido seducido [por la superstición]”.

Swear to each other

and his family

wa-ahlahu

ثُمَّ

Then

thumma

لَنَقُولَنَّ

we will surely say

lanaqūlanna

لِوَلِيِّهِۦ

to his heir

liwaliyyihi

مَا

Not

mā

شَهِدْنَا

we witnessed

shahid'nā

مَهْلِكَ

(the) destruction

mahlika

أَهْلِهِۦ

(of) his family

ahlihi

وَإِنَّا

and indeed, we

wa-innā

لَصَـٰدِقُونَ

(are) surely truthful

laṣādiqūna

٤٩

Se dijeron: “Juremos por Dios que los sorprenderemos por la noche [y los mataremos] a él y a su familia, luego diremos a quienes exijan justicia: ‘Nosotros no presenciamos los crímenes de su familia, y decimos la verdad’”.

And We saved

بَلْ

Nay

أَنتُمْ

you

antum

قَوْمٌۭ

(are) a people

qawmun

تَجْهَلُونَ

ignorant

tajhalūna

٥٥

¿Satisfacéis vuestros deseos sexuales con hombres en lugar de hacerlo con una mujer? Sois un pueblo ignorante.

ءَالَ

لُوطٍۢ

(of) Lut

مِّن

قَرْيَتِكُمْ ۖ

your town

qaryatikum

إِنَّهُمْ

Indeed, they

innahum

أُنَاسٌۭ

(are) people

unāsun

يَتَطَهَّرُونَ

who keep clean and pure

yataṭahharūna

٥٦

Pero la única respuesta de su pueblo fue: “Expulsad a la familia de Lot de la ciudad; son gente que se hacen los puros”.

فَأَنجَيْنَـٰهُ

So We saved him

fa-anjaynāhu

وَأَهْلَهُۥٓ

and his family

wa-ahlahu

إِلَّا

except

illā

ٱمْرَأَتَهُۥ

قَدَّرْنَـٰهَا

We destined her

qaddarnāhā

مِنَ

(to be) of

mina

ٱلْغَـٰبِرِينَ

those who remained behind

l-ghābirīna

٥٧

Salvé a Lot y a su familia, excepto a su mujer, pues en el decreto era de las condenadas.

And We rained

wa-amṭarnā

عَلَيْهِم

upon them

ʿalayhim

مَّطَرًۭا ۖ

a rain

فَسَآءَ

and was evil

ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ

(on) those who were warned

His slaves

ʿibādihi

ٱلَّذِينَ

those whom

alladhīna

ٱصْطَفَىٰٓ ۗ

He has chosen

iṣ'ṭafā

ءَآللَّهُ

Is Allah

āllahu

خَيْرٌ

better

khayrun

أَمَّا

or what

ammā

يُشْرِكُونَ

they associate (with Him)

yush'rikūna

Di: “¡Alabado sea Dios! Que la paz sea sobre Sus siervos elegidos. ¿Quién es mejor: Dios o lo que Le asocian?”

ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ

the heavens

وَٱلْأَرْضَ

and the earth

لَكُم

for you

lakum

مِّنَ

from

mina

ٱلسَّمَآءِ

the sky

l-samāi

مَآءًۭ

water

māan

فَأَنۢبَتْنَا

And We caused to grow

fa-anbatnā

بِهِۦ

thereby

bihi

حَدَآئِقَ

gardens

ḥadāiqa

ذَاتَ

of beauty (and delight)

dhāta

بَهْجَةٍۢ

of beauty (and delight)

bahjatin

مَّا

not

mā

كَانَ

it is

kāna

لَكُمْ

for you

lakum

أَن

that

an

تُنۢبِتُوا۟

you cause to grow

tunbitū

شَجَرَهَآ ۗ

their trees

shajarahā

أَءِلَـٰهٌۭ

Is there any god

a-ilāhun

مَّعَ

with

maʿa

ٱللَّهِ ۚ

Allah

l-lahi

بَلْ

Nay

bal

هُمْ

they

hum

قَوْمٌۭ

(are) a people

qawmun

يَعْدِلُونَ

who ascribe equals

yaʿdilūna

٦٠

¿Acaso Quien creó los cielos y la Tierra e hizo descender para vosotros agua del cielo, con la que hace surgir jardines espléndidos allí donde vosotros no podríais haber hecho crecer ni un árbol [puede equipararse a quien no es capaz de crear nada de eso]? ¿Acaso puede haber otra divinidad junto con Dios? Realmente son desviados.

أَنْهَـٰرًۭا

rivers

anhāran

وَجَعَلَ

and made

wajaʿala

لَهَا

for it

lahā

رَوَٰسِىَ

firm mountains

rawāsiya

وَجَعَلَ

and made

wajaʿala

بَيْنَ

between

bayna

ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ

the two seas

l-baḥrayni

حَاجِزًا ۗ

a barrier

ḥājizan

أَءِلَـٰهٌۭ

Is there any god

a-ilāhun

مَّعَ

with

maʿa

ٱللَّهِ ۚ

Allah

l-lahi

بَلْ

Nay

bal

أَكْثَرُهُمْ

most of them

aktharuhum

لَا

(do) not

lā

يَعْلَمُونَ

know

yaʿlamūna

٦١

¿Acaso Quien hizo de la Tierra un lugar firme, dispuso en ella ríos, fijó montañas y puso entre los dos mares una barrera [puede equipararse a quien no es capaz de crear nada de eso]? ¿Acaso puede haber otra divinidad junto con Dios? La mayoría lo ignora.

ٱلسُّوٓءَ

the evil

وَيَجْعَلُكُمْ

and makes you

wayajʿalukum

خُلَفَآءَ

inheritors

khulafāa

ٱلْأَرْضِ ۗ

(of) the earth

l-arḍi

أَءِلَـٰهٌۭ

Is there any god

a-ilāhun

مَّعَ

with

maʿa

ٱللَّهِ ۚ

Allah

l-lahi

قَلِيلًۭا

Little

qalīlan

مَّا

(is) what

mā

تَذَكَّرُونَ

you remember

tadhakkarūna

٦٢

¿Acaso Quien responde al afligido cuando Lo invoca, alivia los pesares y os ha hecho a vosotros los responsables de la Tierra [puede equipararse a quien no es capaz de hacer nada de eso]? ¿Acaso puede haber otra divinidad junto con Dios? Pocos son los que reflexionan.

وَمَن

يُرْسِلُ

ٱلرِّيَـٰحَ

بُشْرًۢا

(as) glad tidings

bush'ran

بَيْنَ

before

bayna

يَدَىْ

before

yaday

رَحْمَتِهِۦٓ ۗ

His Mercy

raḥmatihi

أَءِلَـٰهٌۭ

Is there any god

a-ilāhun

مَّعَ

with

maʿa

ٱللَّهِ ۚ

Allah

l-lahi

تَعَـٰلَى

High is

taʿālā

ٱللَّهُ

Allah

l-lahu

عَمَّا

above what

ʿammā

يُشْرِكُونَ

they associate (with Him)

yush'rikūna

٦٣

¿Acaso Quien os guía en la oscuridad [de la noche] por la tierra y el mar, y envía los vientos que traen las lluvias como una misericordia [puede compararse a quien no es capaz de hacer nada de eso]? ¿Acaso puede haber otra divinidad junto con Dios? Dios está por encima de [los ídolos] que Le asocian.

ٱللَّهِ ۚ

هَاتُوا۟

Bring forth

بُرْهَـٰنَكُمْ

your proof

bur'hānakum

إِن

كُنتُمْ

you are

صَـٰدِقِينَ

truthful

ṣādiqīna

٦٤

¿Acaso Quien origina la creación y luego la reproduce, y Quien os sustenta [con las gracias] del cielo y de la Tierra [puede equipararse a quien no es capaz de hacer nada de eso]? ¿Acaso puede haber otra divinidad junto con Dios? Di: “Presentad vuestras pruebas, si es verdad lo que decís”.

ٱلْغَيْبَ

(of) the unseen

l-ghayba

إِلَّا

except

illā

ٱللَّهُ ۚ

Allah

l-lahu

وَمَا

and not

wamā

يَشْعُرُونَ

they perceive

yashʿurūna

أَيَّانَ

when

ayyāna

يُبْعَثُونَ

they will be resurrected

yub'ʿathūna

٦٥

Di: “Nadie en los cielos ni en la Tierra conoce lo oculto salvo Dios. No saben siquiera cuándo serán resucitados.

هُمْ

they

hum

شَكٍّۢ

doubt

مِّنْهَا ۖ

about it

min'hā

بَلْ

Nay

bal

هُم

they

hum

مِّنْهَا

about it

min'hā

عَمُونَ

(are) blind

ʿamūna

٦٦

Su conocimiento no alcanza a comprender la realidad de la otra vida, algunos incluso dudan de su existencia y son ciegos sobre ella.

And say

ٱلَّذِينَ

those who

كَفَرُوٓا۟

disbelieve

أَءِذَا

كُنَّا

we have become

وَءَابَآؤُنَآ

and our forefathers

waābāunā

أَئِنَّا

will we

a-innā

لَمُخْرَجُونَ

surely be brought out

lamukh'rajūna

٦٧

Los que se niegan a creer dicen: “¿Acaso cuando seamos polvo, nosotros y nuestros padres, seremos resucitados?”.

we have been promised

ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

(of) the former (people)

٦٨

Eso ya se nos había prometido anteriormente, a nosotros y a nuestros padres. No es más que una fábula de los ancestros”.

Travel

ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ

(of) the criminals

Di: “Viajad por el mundo y observad cuál fue el final de los que han hecho el mal”.

grieve

from what

يَمْكُرُونَ

they plot

صَـٰدِقِينَ

truthful

Ellos dicen: “¿Cuándo se cumplirá tu advertencia? [Te desafiamos] Si es que dices la verdad”.

Perhaps

alladhī

تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ

you seek to hasten

tastaʿjilūna

Diles: “Puede ser que sea muy pronto, que esté detrás de vosotros algo de lo que pedís que suceda pronto”.

And indeed

wa-inna

رَبَّكَ

your Lord

rabbaka

لَذُو

(is) full of Bounty

ladhū

فَضْلٍ

(is) full of Bounty

عَلَى

ٱلنَّاسِ

the mankind

l-nāsi

وَلَـٰكِنَّ

but

walākinna

أَكْثَرَهُمْ

most of them

aktharahum

لَا

(are) not

lā

يَشْكُرُونَ

grateful

Tu Señor concede Sus gracias a la gente, pero la mayoría no agradece.

وَمَا

and what

wamā

يُعْلِنُونَ

they declare

a Record

مُّبِينٍ

Todo lo que está oculto [al conocimiento de las personas] en el cielo y

إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ

(of) Israel

is'rāīla

أَكْثَرَ

most

ٱلَّذِى

alladhī

هُمْ

they

hum

فِيهِ

in it

يَخْتَلِفُونَ

differ

yakhtalifūna

٧٦

El Corán les relata a los Hijos de Israel [la respuesta] a gran parte de los asuntos sobre los que discrepaban.

And indeed, it

لَهُدًۭى

(is) surely a guidance

وَرَحْمَةٌۭ

and a mercy

لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

ٱلْعَزِيزُ

(is) the All-Mighty

ٱلْعَلِيمُ

the All-Knower

l-ʿalīmu

ٱلدُّعَآءَ

وَلَّوْا۟

they turn back

مُدْبِرِينَ

retreating

mud'birīna

٨٠

Tú no puedes hacer que los muertos [de corazón] oigan ni que los sordos [que no quieren oír] escuchen la prédica cuando rechazan la Verdad.

بِهَـٰدِى

guide

ٱلْعُمْىِ

the blind

عَن

ʿan

ضَلَـٰلَتِهِمْ ۖ

their error

ḍalālatihim

إِن

Not

in

تُسْمِعُ

you can cause to hear

tus'miʿu

إِلَّا

except

illā

مَن

(those) who

man

يُؤْمِنُ

believe

yu'minu

بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا

in Our Signs

biāyātinā

فَهُم

so they

fahum

مُّسْلِمُونَ

(are) Muslims

mus'limūna

٨١

Ni puedes guiar a los ciegos [que no quieren ver] y sacarlos de su extravío. Tú solo puedes hacer que escuchen quienes creen en Mis signos y se someten a Dios [siendo musulmanes].

And when

وَقَعَ

(is) fulfilled

waqaʿa

ٱلْقَوْلُ

the word

l-qawlu

عَلَيْهِمْ

against them

ʿalayhim

أَخْرَجْنَا

We will bring forth

akhrajnā

لَهُمْ

for them

lahum

دَآبَّةًۭ

a creature

dābbatan

مِّنَ

from

mina

ٱلْأَرْضِ

the earth

l-arḍi

تُكَلِّمُهُمْ

speaking to them

tukallimuhum

أَنَّ

that

anna

ٱلنَّاسَ

the people

l-nāsa

كَانُوا۟

were

kānū

بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا

of Our Signs

biāyātinā

لَا

not

lā

يُوقِنُونَ

certain

yūqinūna

٨٢

Cuando ocurra lo que ha sido decretado para ellos, haré salir de la Tierra una bestia que les hablará [milagrosamente diciéndoles] que la gente no estaba convencida de Mis signos.

And (the) Day

We will gather

naḥshuru

مِن

كُلِّ

every

أُمَّةٍۢ

nation

فَوْجًۭا

of (those) who

mimman

يُكَذِّبُ

deny

yukadhibu

بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا

Our Signs

biāyātinā

فَهُمْ

and they

fahum

يُوزَعُونَ

will be set in rows

yūzaʿūna

٨٣

El día que reúna, de cada nación, a quienes desmentían Mis signos, marcharán uno detrás del otro.

Until

they come

He will say

My Signs

وَلَمْ

while not

walam

تُحِيطُوا۟

you encompassed

tuḥīṭū

بِهَا

them

bihā

عِلْمًا

(in) knowledge

ʿil'man

أَمَّاذَا

or what

ammādhā

كُنتُمْ

you used (to)

kuntum

تَعْمَلُونَ

do

taʿmalūna

٨٤

Al llegar [al lugar del juicio, Dios] les dirá: “Desmentisteis Mis signos sin siquiera conocerlos”, [y se les preguntará:] “¿Cuáles han sido vuestras obras?”

And (will be) fulfilled

فِيهِ

in it

fīhi

وَٱلنَّهَارَ

and the day

wal-nahāra

مُبْصِرًا ۚ

giving visibility

mub'ṣiran

إِنَّ

Indeed

inna

فِى

in

fī

ذَٰلِكَ

that

dhālika

لَـَٔايَـٰتٍۢ

surely (are) Signs

laāyātin

لِّقَوْمٍۢ

for a people

liqawmin

يُؤْمِنُونَ

who believe

٨٦

¿Acaso no ven que he creado la noche para que descansen y el día para que procuren el sustento? En eso hay signos para quienes creen.

وَيَوْمَ

And (the) Day

wayawma

يُنفَخُ

will be blown

yunfakhu

فِى

[in]

fī

ٱلصُّورِ

the trumpet

l-ṣūri

فَفَزِعَ

and will be terrified

fafaziʿa

مَن

whoever

man

فِى

(is) in

fī

ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ

the heavens

l-samāwāti

وَمَن

and whoever

waman

فِى

(is) in

fī

ٱلْأَرْضِ

the earth

l-arḍi

إِلَّا

except

illā

مَن

whom

man

شَآءَ

Allah wills

shāa

ٱللَّهُ ۚ

Allah wills

l-lahu

وَكُلٌّ

And all

wakullun

أَتَوْهُ

(will) come to Him

atawhu

دَٰخِرِينَ

humbled

dākhirīna

٨٧

El día que se sople la trompeta se aterrorizarán todos aquellos que estén en los cielos y en la Tierra, salvo quienes Dios proteja. Todos se presentarán sumisos ante Él.

وَتَرَى

And you see

watarā

ٱلْجِبَالَ

the mountains

l-jibāla

تَحْسَبُهَا

thinking them

taḥsabuhā

جَامِدَةًۭ

firmly fixed

jāmidatan

وَهِىَ

while they

wahiya

تَمُرُّ

will pass

tamurru

مَرَّ

(as the) passing

marra

ٱلسَّحَابِ ۚ

(of) the clouds

l-saḥābi

صُنْعَ

(The) Work

ṣun'ʿa

ٱللَّهِ

(of) Allah

l-lahi

ٱلَّذِىٓ

Who

alladhī

أَتْقَنَ

perfected

atqana

كُلَّ

all

kulla

شَىْءٍ ۚ

things

shayin

إِنَّهُۥ

Indeed, He

innahu

خَبِيرٌۢ

(is) All-Aware

khabīrun

بِمَا

of what

bimā

تَفْعَلُونَ

you do

tafʿalūna

٨٨

Veréis las montañas, las cuales creíais firmes, pasar como lo hacen las nubes. Esto es obra de Dios, Quien ha hecho todo a la perfección. Él conoce lo que hacéis.

مَن

Whoever

man

جَآءَ

comes

jāa

بِٱلْحَسَنَةِ

with the good

bil-ḥasanati

فَلَهُۥ

then for him

falahu

خَيْرٌۭ

(will be) better

khayrun

مِّنْهَا

than it

min'hā

وَهُم

and they

wahum

مِّن

from

min

فَزَعٍۢ

(the) terror

fazaʿin

يَوْمَئِذٍ

(of) that Day

yawma-idhin

ءَامِنُونَ

(will be) safe

āminūna

٨٩

Quien se presente con buenas obras será recompensado con algo mejor [que lo que merezca], y estará a salvo del terror de ese día.

وَمَن

And whoever

waman

جَآءَ

comes

jāa

بِٱلسَّيِّئَةِ

with the evil

bil-sayi-ati

فَكُبَّتْ

will be cast down

fakubbat

وُجُوهُهُمْ

their faces

wujūhuhum

فِى

in

fī

ٱلنَّارِ

the Fire

l-nāri

هَلْ

Are

hal

تُجْزَوْنَ

you recompensed

tuj'zawna

إِلَّا

except

illā

مَا

(for) what

mā

كُنتُمْ

you used (to)

kuntum

تَعْمَلُونَ

do

taʿmalūna

٩٠

Pero quien se presente con obras malas será arrojado de cara al Fuego. [Se le dirá:] “¿Acaso se os retribuye por algo distinto a lo que habíais cometido?”

إِنَّمَآ

Only

innamā

أُمِرْتُ

I am commanded

umir'tu

أَنْ

that

an

أَعْبُدَ

I worship

aʿbuda

رَبَّ

(the) Lord

rabba

هَـٰذِهِ

(of) this

hādhihi

ٱلْبَلْدَةِ

city

l-baldati

ٱلَّذِى

the One Who

alladhī

حَرَّمَهَا

made it sacred

ḥarramahā

وَلَهُۥ

and to Him (belongs)

walahu

كُلُّ

all

kullu

شَىْءٍۢ ۖ

things

shayin

وَأُمِرْتُ

And I am commanded

wa-umir'tu

أَنْ

that

an

أَكُونَ

I be

akūna

مِنَ

of

mina

ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ

the Muslims

l-mus'limīna

٩١

[Diles, oh, Muhámmad:] “Me ha sido ordenado adorar al Señor de esta ciudad [La Meca], a la que ha declarado sagrada; el Señor de todas las cosas. Me ha sido ordenado ser de los musulmanes [que someten a Dios

وَأَنْ

And that

wa-an

أَتْلُوَا۟

I recite

atluwā

ٱلْقُرْءَانَ ۖ

the Quran

l-qur'āna

فَمَنِ

And whoever

famani

ٱهْتَدَىٰ

accepts guidance

ih'tadā

فَإِنَّمَا

then only

fa-innamā

يَهْتَدِى

he accepts guidance

yahtadī

لِنَفْسِهِۦ ۖ

for himself

linafsihi

وَمَن

and whoever

waman

ضَلَّ

goes astray

ḍalla

فَقُلْ

then say

faqul

إِنَّمَآ

Only

innamā

أَنَا۠

I am

anā

مِنَ

of

mina

ٱلْمُنذِرِينَ

the warners

l-mundhirīna

٩٢

[Se me ha ordenado] recitar el Corán. Quien siga la guía lo hará en beneficio propio, y a quien se extravíe dile: “Yo solo he venido a advertiros…”.

وَقُلِ

And say

waquli

ٱلْحَمْدُ

All praise (be)

l-ḥamdu

لِلَّهِ

to Allah

lillahi

سَيُرِيكُمْ

He will show you

sayurīkum

ءَايَـٰتِهِۦ

His Signs

āyātihi

فَتَعْرِفُونَهَا ۚ

and you will recognize them

fataʿrifūnahā

وَمَا

And your Lord is not

wamā

رَبُّكَ

And your Lord is not

rabbuka

بِغَـٰفِلٍ

unaware

bighāfilin

عَمَّا

of what

ʿammā

تَعْمَلُونَ

you do

taʿmalūna

٩٣

Di: “¡Alabado sea Dios! Él os mostrará Sus signos y los reconoceréis. [Sabe que] tu Señor no está desatento de lo que hacéis”.
