They said qālū O Musa yāmūsā Either immā [that] an you throw tul'qiya or wa-immā [that] an we will be nakūna the first awwala who man throws alqā
Dijeron: “¡Oh, Moisés! ¿Arrojas tú o lo hacemos nosotros primero?”
He said qāla Nay bal you throw alqū Then behold fa-idhā Their ropes ḥibāluhum and their staffs waʿiṣiyyuhum seemed yukhayyalu to him ilayhi by min their magic siḥ'rihim that they annahā (were) moving tasʿā
So sensed fa-awjasa in fī himself nafsihi a fear khīfatan Musa mūsā
We said qul'nā (Do) not lā fear takhaf Indeed, you innaka you anta (will be) superior l-aʿlā
And throw wa-alqi what mā (is) in fī your right hand yamīnika it will swallow up talqaf what mā they have made ṣanaʿū Only innamā they (have) made ṣanaʿū a trick kaydu (of) a magician sāḥirin and not walā will be successful yuf'liḥu the magician l-sāḥiru wherever ḥaythu he comes atā
So were thrown down fa-ul'qiya the magicians l-saḥaratu prostrating sujjadan They said qālū We believe āmannā in (the) Lord birabbi (of) Harun hārūna and Musa wamūsā
He said qāla You believe āmantum [to] him lahu before qabla [that] an I gave permission ādhana to you lakum Indeed, he innahu (is) your chief lakabīrukumu the one who alladhī taught you ʿallamakumu the magic l-siḥ'ra So surely I will cut off fala-uqaṭṭiʿanna your hands aydiyakum and your feet wa-arjulakum of min opposite sides khilāfin and surely I will crucify you wala-uṣallibannakum on fī (the) trunks judhūʿi (of) date-palms l-nakhli and surely you will know walataʿlamunna which of us ayyunā (is) more severe ashaddu (in) punishment ʿadhāban and more lasting wa-abqā
They said qālū Never lan we will prefer you nu'thiraka over ʿalā what mā has come to us jāanā of mina the clear proofs l-bayināti and the One Who wa-alladhī created us faṭaranā So decree fa-iq'ḍi whatever mā you anta (are) decreeing qāḍin Only innamā you can decree taqḍī (for) this hādhihi life l-ḥayata (of) the world l-dun'yā
Indeed, [we] innā we believe āmannā in our Lord birabbinā that He may forgive liyaghfira for us lanā our sins khaṭāyānā and what wamā you compelled us akrahtanā on it ʿalayhi of mina the magic l-siḥ'ri And Allah wal-lahu (is) Best khayrun and Ever Lasting wa-abqā
Indeed, he innahu who man comes yati (to) his Lord rabbahu (as) a criminal muj'riman then indeed fa-inna for him lahu (is) Hell jahannama Not lā he will die yamūtu in it fīhā and not walā live yaḥyā
But whoever waman comes to Him yatihi (as) a believer mu'minan verily qad he has done ʿamila the righteous deeds l-ṣāliḥāti then those fa-ulāika for them lahumu (will be) the ranks l-darajātu [the] high l-ʿulā
Gardens jannātu (of) Eden ʿadnin flows tajrī from min underneath them taḥtihā the rivers l-anhāru abiding forever khālidīna in it fīhā And that wadhālika (is) the reward jazāu (for him) who man purifies himself tazakkā
