فَلَيْسَ So not falaysa for him lahu today l-yawma here hāhunā any devoted friend ḥamīmun
Hoy no tiene aquí amigo que pueda interceder por él.
وَلَا And not walā any food ṭaʿāmun except illā from min (the) discharge of wounds ghis'līnin
No tendrá más comida que pus,
لَّا Not lā will eat it yakuluhu except illā the sinners l-khāṭiūna
que solo comerán los pecadores”.
فَلَآ But nay falā I swear uq'simu by what bimā you see tub'ṣirūna
Juro por lo que veis
إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, it (is) innahu surely (the) Word laqawlu (of) a Messenger rasūlin noble karīmin
que el Corán es la palabra recitada por un Mensajero noble.
وَمَا And not wamā it huwa (is the) word biqawli (of) a poet shāʿirin little qalīlan (is) what mā you believe tu'minūna
No es la palabra de un poeta. ¡Qué poco creéis!
وَلَا And not walā (it is the) word biqawli (of) a soothsayer kāhinin little qalīlan (is) what mā you take heed tadhakkarūna
Ni tampoco la palabra de un adivino. ¡Qué poco reflexionáis!
تَنزِيلٌۭ (It is) a revelation tanzīlun from min (the) Lord rabbi (of) the worlds l-ʿālamīna
Es una revelación que dimana del Señor del universo.
وَلَوْ And if walaw he (had) fabricated taqawwala against Us ʿalaynā some baʿḍa sayings l-aqāwīli
Si [el Profeta] hubiera atribuido algo falsamente a Mi Mensaje,
لَأَخَذْنَا Certainly We (would) have seized la-akhadhnā him min'hu by the right hand bil-yamīni
le habría apresado severamente,
ثُمَّ Then thumma certainly We (would) have cut off laqaṭaʿnā from him min'hu the aorta l-watīna
luego le habría cortado la arteria vital,
فَمَا And not famā from you minkum any min one aḥadin [from him] ʿanhu (who could) prevent (it) ḥājizīna
y nadie habría podido impedirlo.
وَإِنَّهُۥ And indeed, it wa-innahu (is) surely a reminder latadhkiratun for the Allah-fearing lil'muttaqīna
El Corán es un motivo de reflexión para los que tienen temor de Dios,
وَإِنَّا And indeed, We wa-innā surely know lanaʿlamu that anna among you minkum (are) deniers mukadhibīna
y bien sé que hay entre vosotros quienes desmienten,
وَإِنَّهُۥ And indeed, it wa-innahu (is) surely a regret laḥasratun upon ʿalā the disbelievers l-kāfirīna
pero eso será motivo de pesar para los que rechazan el Mensaje.
وَإِنَّهُۥ And indeed, it (is) wa-innahu surely (the) truth laḥaqqu (of) certainty l-yaqīni
El Corán es la verdad indubitable.
فَسَبِّحْ So glorify fasabbiḥ (the) name bi-is'mi (of) your Lord rabbika the Most Great l-ʿaẓīmi
¡Glorifica el nombre de tu Señor, el Grandioso!

المعارج
سَأَلَ Asked sa-ala a questioner sāilun about a punishment biʿadhābin bound to happen wāqiʿin
Alguien pide que se desencadene el castigo prometido
لِّلْكَـٰفِرِينَ To the disbelievers lil'kāfirīna not laysa of it lahu any preventer dāfiʿun
para que caiga sobre los que niegan el Mensaje. Cuando ocurra, nadie podrá impedirlo,
مِّنَ From mina Allah l-lahi Owner dhī (of) the ways of ascent l-maʿāriji
pues procede de Dios, Señor de las vías de ascensión,
تَعْرُجُ Ascend taʿruju the Angels l-malāikatu and the Spirit wal-rūḥu to Him ilayhi in fī a Day yawmin [is] kāna its measure miq'dāruhu (is) fifty khamsīna thousand alfa year(s) sanatin
por las que ascienden hacia Él los ángeles y las almas; un día que durará cincuenta mil años.
فَٱصْبِرْ So be patient fa-iṣ'bir a patience ṣabran good jamīlan
Persevera con profunda paciencia,
إِنَّهُمْ Indeed, they innahum see it yarawnahu (as) far off baʿīdan
porque ellos lo ven lejano [al Día del Juicio],
يَوْمَ (The) Day yawma will be takūnu the sky l-samāu like molten copper kal-muh'li
El día que el cielo parezca masas de minerales fundidos
وَتَكُونُ And will be watakūnu the mountains l-jibālu like wool kal-ʿih'ni
y las montañas copos de lana,
وَلَا And not walā will ask yasalu a friend ḥamīmun (about) a friend ḥamīman
y nadie pregunte por sus seres amados
