وَجَآءَ And came wajāa Firaun fir'ʿawnu and (those) waman before him qablahu and the overturned cities wal-mu'tafikātu with sin bil-khāṭi-ati
El Faraón, otros pueblos de la antigüedad y los que fueron elevados con sus casas y arrojados al revés, cometieron los pecados más graves,
فَعَصَوْا۟ And they disobeyed faʿaṣaw (the) Messenger rasūla (of) their Lord rabbihim so He seized them fa-akhadhahum (with) a seizure akhdhatan exceeding rābiyatan
desobedecieron al Mensajero que les había enviado su Señor, y por eso Dios les sorprendió con un castigo severo.
إِنَّا Indeed, We innā when lammā overflowed ṭaghā the water l-māu We carried you ḥamalnākum in fī the sailing (ship) l-jāriyati
Cuando las aguas lo inundaron todo, les salvé en el arca,
لِنَجْعَلَهَا That We might make it linajʿalahā for you lakum a reminder tadhkiratan and would be conscious of it wataʿiyahā an ear udhunun conscious wāʿiyatun
para que sea un motivo de reflexión y para que todo oído atento escuche su historia.
فَإِذَا Then when fa-idhā is blown nufikha in fī the trumpet l-ṣūri a blast nafkhatun single wāḥidatun
Cuando la trompeta sea soplada una primera vez
وَحُمِلَتِ And are lifted waḥumilati the earth l-arḍu and the mountains wal-jibālu and crushed fadukkatā (with) a crushing dakkatan single wāḥidatan
y la tierra y las montañas sean elevadas y choquen unas contra otras,
فَيَوْمَئِذٍۢ Then (on) that Day fayawma-idhin will occur waqaʿati the Occurrence l-wāqiʿatu
entonces ocurrirá el suceso.
وَٱنشَقَّتِ And will split wa-inshaqqati the heaven l-samāu so it fahiya (is on) that Day yawma-idhin frail wāhiyatun
Ese día el cielo se quebrantará en su fragilidad.
وَٱلْمَلَكُ And the Angels wal-malaku (will be) on ʿalā its edges arjāihā and will bear wayaḥmilu (the) Throne ʿarsha (of) your Lord rabbika above them fawqahum that Day yawma-idhin eight thamāniyatun
Los ángeles estarán en sus confines, y ocho serán los que portarán el Trono de tu Señor ese día.
يَوْمَئِذٍۢ That Day yawma-idhin you will be exhibited tuʿ'raḍūna not lā will be hidden takhfā among you minkum any secret khāfiyatun
Ese día vosotros compareceréis [ante Dios], y ni la más secreta de vuestras obras quedará oculta.
فَأَمَّا Then as for fa-ammā (him) who man is given ūtiya his record kitābahu in his right hand biyamīnihi will say fayaqūlu Here hāumu read iq'raū my record kitābiyah
Quien reciba el libro de sus obras con la mano derecha dirá [a los demás con felicidad]: “Mirad y ved mi libro,
إِنِّى Indeed, I innī was certain ẓanantu that I annī (will) meet mulāqin my account ḥisābiyah
yo sabía que iba a ser juzgado [algún día]”.
فَهُوَ So he fahuwa (will be) in fī a life ʿīshatin pleasant rāḍiyatin
Tendrá una vida placentera
قُطُوفُهَا Its clusters of fruits quṭūfuhā hanging near dāniyatun
cuyos frutos estarán al alcance de la mano.
كُلُوا۟ Eat kulū and drink wa-ish'rabū (in) satisfaction hanīan for what bimā you sent before you aslaftum in fī the days l-ayāmi past l-khāliyati
[Se les dirá:] “Comed y bebed con alegría en recompensa por lo que habéis obrado en los días pasados”.
وَأَمَّا But as for wa-ammā (him) who man is given ūtiya his record kitābahu in his left hand bishimālihi will say fayaqūlu O! I wish yālaytanī not lam I had been given ūta my record kitābiyah
En cambio, quien reciba el registro de sus obras en la mano izquierda, se dirá a sí mismo: “Ojalá no se me hubiera entregado mi libro
وَلَمْ And not walam I had known adri what mā (is) my account ḥisābiyah
ni se me hubiese juzgado.
يَـٰلَيْتَهَا O! I wish it yālaytahā had been kānati the end l-qāḍiyata
Ojalá mi muerte hubiera sido definitiva [y no me hubiesen resucitado].
مَآ Not mā has availed aghnā me ʿannī my wealth māliyah
De nada me sirve ahora el dinero que tuve.
هَلَكَ Is gone halaka from me ʿannī my authority sul'ṭāniyah
Mi influencia ha desaparecido”.
خُذُوهُ Seize him khudhūhu and shackle him faghullūhu
[Dios dirá a los ángeles:] “Apresadlo y encadenadlo.
ثُمَّ Then thumma (into) the Hellfire l-jaḥīma burn him ṣallūhu
Introducidlo en el fuego del Infierno,
ثُمَّ Then thumma into fī a chain sil'silatin its length dharʿuhā (is) seventy sabʿūna cubits dhirāʿan insert him fa-us'lukūhu
sujetadlo con una cadena de setenta codos,
إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, he innahu was kāna not lā believing yu'minu in Allah bil-lahi the Most Great l-ʿaẓīmi
porque no creía en Dios, el Grandioso,
وَلَا And (did) not walā feel the urge yaḥuḍḍu on ʿalā (the) feeding ṭaʿāmi (of) the poor l-mis'kīni
ni alentaba a alimentar al pobre.
