Were not alam Were not takun My Verses āyātī recited tut'lā to you ʿalaykum and you used (to) fakuntum deny them bihā deny them tukadhibūna
They (will) say qālū Our Lord rabbanā Overcame ghalabat [on] us ʿalaynā our wretchedness shiq'watunā and we were wakunnā a people qawman astray ḍāllīna
Dirán: “¡Señor nuestro! Estábamos dominados por nuestras pasiones, éramos gente extraviada.
Our Lord rabbanā Bring us out akhrij'nā from it min'hā then if fa-in we return ʿud'nā then indeed, we fa-innā (would be) wrongdoers ẓālimūna
He (will) say qāla Remain despised ikh'saū in it fīhā and (do) not walā speak to Me tukallimūni
Indeed innahu (there) was kāna a party farīqun of min My slaves ʿibādī (who) said yaqūlūna Our Lord rabbanā We believe āmannā so forgive fa-igh'fir us lanā and have mercy on us wa-ir'ḥamnā and You wa-anta (are) best khayru (of) those who show mercy l-rāḥimīna
Algunos de Mis siervos decían: “¡Señor nuestro! Somos creyentes, perdónanos y ten misericordia de nosotros. Tú eres el mejor de los misericordiosos”.
But you took them fa-ittakhadhtumūhum (in) mockery sikh'riyyan until ḥattā they made you forget ansawkum My remembrance dhik'rī and you used (to) wakuntum at them min'hum laugh taḍḥakūna
Indeed, I innī have rewarded them jazaytuhumu this Day l-yawma because bimā they were patient ṣabarū indeed, they annahum [they] humu (are) the successful ones l-fāizūna
He will say qāla How long kam did you remain labith'tum in fī the earth l-arḍi (in) number ʿadada (of) years sinīna
They will say qālū We remained labith'nā a day yawman or aw a part baʿḍa (of) a day yawmin but ask fasali those who keep count l-ʿādīna
He will say qāla Not in you stayed labith'tum but illā a little qalīlan if law only you annakum [you] kuntum knew taʿlamūna
Dios les dirá: “No permanecieron sino poco tiempo. ¡Si tan solo hubieran sabido!
Then did you think afaḥasib'tum that annamā We created you khalaqnākum uselessly ʿabathan and that you wa-annakum to Us ilaynā not lā will be returned tur'jaʿūna
So exalted is fataʿālā Allah l-lahu the King l-maliku the Truth l-ḥaqu (There is) no lā god ilāha except illā Him huwa (the) Lord rabbu (of) the Throne l-ʿarshi Honorable l-karīmi
¡Exaltado sea Dios!
And whoever waman invokes yadʿu with maʿa Allah l-lahi god ilāhan other ākhara no lā proof bur'hāna for him lahu in it bihi Then only fa-innamā his account ḥisābuhu (is) with ʿinda his Lord rabbihi Indeed, [he] innahu not lā will succeed yuf'liḥu the disbelievers l-kāfirūna
And say waqul My Lord rabbi Forgive igh'fir and have mercy wa-ir'ḥam and You wa-anta (are the) Best khayru (of) those who show mercy l-rāḥimīna
Di [¡Oh, Muhámmad!, enseñando a los creyentes]: “¡Señor mío! Perdona y ten misericordia. Tú eres el mejor de los misericordiosos”.
