وَٱقْتُلُوهُمْ

And kill them

wa-uq'tulūhum

حَيْثُ

ثَقِفْتُمُوهُمْ

you find them

وَأَخْرِجُوهُم

and drive them out

wa-akhrijūhum

مِّنْ

from

min

حَيْثُ

wherever

ḥaythu

أَخْرَجُوكُمْ ۚ

they drove you out

akhrajūkum

وَٱلْفِتْنَةُ

and [the] oppression

wal-fit'natu

أَشَدُّ

(is) worse

ashaddu

مِنَ

than

mina

ٱلْقَتْلِ ۚ

[the] killing

l-qatli

وَلَا

And (do) not

walā

تُقَـٰتِلُوهُمْ

fight them

tuqātilūhum

عِندَ

near

ʿinda

ٱلْمَسْجِدِ

Al-Masjid

l-masjidi

ٱلْحَرَامِ

Al-Haraam

l-ḥarāmi

حَتَّىٰ

until

ḥattā

يُقَـٰتِلُوكُمْ

they fight you

yuqātilūkum

فِيهِ ۖ

in it

fīhi

فَإِن

Then if

fa-in

قَـٰتَلُوكُمْ

they fight you

qātalūkum

فَٱقْتُلُوهُمْ ۗ

then kill them

fa-uq'tulūhum

كَذَٰلِكَ

Such

kadhālika

جَزَآءُ

(is the) reward

jazāu

ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ

(of) the disbelievers

l-kāfirīna

١٩١

Dad muerte [a aquellos que os ataquen] donde quiera que los encontréis, y expulsadlos de donde os han expulsado, porque la opresión [y la restricción de la libertad a la que sois sometidos por los agresores] es más grave que combatirlos. No combatáis contra ellos en la Mezquita Sagrada, a menos que ellos os ataquen allí; pero si lo hacen combatidlos, ésta es la retribución que recibirán los que rechacen la verdad.

Then if

فَإِنَّ

ٱللَّهَ

Allah

l-laha

غَفُورٌۭ

(is) Oft-Forgiving

ghafūrun

رَّحِيمٌۭ

Most Merciful

raḥīmun

Pero si ellos cesan de combatiros, sabed que Dios es Absolvedor, Misericordioso.

And fight (against) them

فِتْنَةٌۭ

وَيَكُونَ

and becomes

wayakūna

ٱلدِّينُ

the religion

l-dīnu

لِلَّهِ ۖ

for Allah

فَإِنِ

Then if

fa-ini

ٱنتَهَوْا۟

they cease

intahaw

فَلَا

then (let there be) no

falā

عُدْوَٰنَ

hostility

ʿud'wāna

إِلَّا

except

illā

عَلَى

against

ʿalā

ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

the oppressors

l-ẓālimīna

١٩٣

Combatidlos hasta que cese la opresión y podáis adorar tranquilamente a Dios [sin temer persecución]; pero si ellos cesan de combatir, que no haya más hostilidades, excepto contra los agresores.

ٱلشَّهْرُ

The month

al-shahru

ٱلْحَرَامُ

[the] sacred

l-ḥarāmu

بِٱلشَّهْرِ

(is) for the month

bil-shahri

ٱلْحَرَامِ

[the] sacred

l-ḥarāmi

وَٱلْحُرُمَـٰتُ

and for all the violations

wal-ḥurumātu

قِصَاصٌۭ ۚ

(is) legal retribution

qiṣāṣun

فَمَنِ

Then whoever

famani

ٱعْتَدَىٰ

transgressed

iʿ'tadā

عَلَيْكُمْ

upon you

ʿalaykum

فَٱعْتَدُوا۟

then you transgress

fa-iʿ'tadū

عَلَيْهِ

on him

ʿalayhi

بِمِثْلِ

in (the) same manner

bimith'li

مَا

(as)

mā

ٱعْتَدَىٰ

he transgressed

iʿ'tadā

عَلَيْكُمْ ۚ

upon you

ʿalaykum

وَٱتَّقُوا۟

And fear

wa-ittaqū

ٱللَّهَ

Allah

l-laha

وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟

and know

wa-iʿ'lamū

أَنَّ

that

anna

ٱللَّهَ

Allah

l-laha

مَعَ

(is) with

maʿa

ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ

those who fear (Him)

l-mutaqīna

١٩٤

Solo se puede combatir en un mes sagrado si sois atacados durante el mismo, y para las violaciones [que hayáis cometido] aplicad el principio de retribución igualitaria; así que si sois agredidos, agredid tal como os agredieron [sin excederos]. Seguid las enseñanzas de Dios, y sabed que Dios está con los piadosos.

وَأَنفِقُوا۟

And spend

wa-anfiqū

فِى

in

fī

سَبِيلِ

(the) way

sabīli

ٱللَّهِ

(of) Allah

l-lahi

وَلَا

and (do) not

walā

تُلْقُوا۟

throw (yourselves)

tul'qū

بِأَيْدِيكُمْ

[with your hands]

bi-aydīkum

إِلَى

into

ilā

ٱلتَّهْلُكَةِ ۛ

[the] destruction

l-tahlukati

وَأَحْسِنُوٓا۟ ۛ

And do good

wa-aḥsinū

إِنَّ

indeed

inna

ٱللَّهَ

Allah

l-laha

يُحِبُّ

loves

yuḥibbu

ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ

the good-doers

l-muḥ'sinīna

١٩٥

Contribuid a la causa de Dios [de buen grado] y no os causéis perjuicio a vosotros mismos [siendo avaros], sino haced el bien, porque Dios ama a los que hacen el bien.

وَأَتِمُّوا۟

And complete

wa-atimmū

ٱلْحَجَّ

the Hajj

l-ḥaja

وَٱلْعُمْرَةَ

and the Umrah

wal-ʿum'rata

لِلَّهِ ۚ

for Allah

lillahi

فَإِنْ

And if

fa-in

أُحْصِرْتُمْ

you are held back

uḥ'ṣir'tum

فَمَا

then (offer) whatever

famā

ٱسْتَيْسَرَ

(can be) obtained with ease

is'taysara

مِنَ

of

mina

ٱلْهَدْىِ ۖ

the sacrificial animal

l-hadyi

وَلَا

And (do) not

walā

تَحْلِقُوا۟

shave

taḥliqū

رُءُوسَكُمْ

your heads

ruūsakum

حَتَّىٰ

until

ḥattā

يَبْلُغَ

reaches

yablugha

ٱلْهَدْىُ

the sacrificial animal

l-hadyu

مَحِلَّهُۥ ۚ

(to) its destination

maḥillahu

فَمَن

Then whoever

faman

كَانَ

is

kāna

مِنكُم

among you

minkum

مَّرِيضًا

ill

marīḍan

أَوْ

or

aw

بِهِۦٓ

he (has)

bihi

أَذًۭى

an ailment

adhan

مِّن

of

min

رَّأْسِهِۦ

his head

rasihi

فَفِدْيَةٌۭ

then a ransom

fafid'yatun

مِّن

of

min

صِيَامٍ

fasting

ṣiyāmin

أَوْ

or

aw

صَدَقَةٍ

charity

ṣadaqatin

أَوْ

or

aw

نُسُكٍۢ ۚ

sacrifice

nusukin

فَإِذَآ

Then when

fa-idhā

أَمِنتُمْ

you are secure

amintum

فَمَن

then whoever

faman

تَمَتَّعَ

took advantage

tamattaʿa

بِٱلْعُمْرَةِ

of the Umrah

bil-ʿum'rati

إِلَى

followed

ilā

ٱلْحَجِّ

(by) the Hajj

l-ḥaji

فَمَا

then (offer) whatever

famā

ٱسْتَيْسَرَ

(can be) obtained with ease

is'taysara

مِنَ

of

mina

ٱلْهَدْىِ ۚ

the sacrificial animal

l-hadyi

فَمَن

But whoever

faman

لَّمْ

(can) not

lam

يَجِدْ

find

yajid

فَصِيَامُ

then a fast

faṣiyāmu

ثَلَـٰثَةِ

(of) three

thalāthati

أَيَّامٍۢ

days

ayyāmin

فِى

during

fī

ٱلْحَجِّ

the Hajj

l-ḥaji

وَسَبْعَةٍ

and seven (days)

wasabʿatin

إِذَا

when

idhā

رَجَعْتُمْ ۗ

you return

rajaʿtum

تِلْكَ

This

til'ka

عَشَرَةٌۭ

(is) ten (days)

ʿasharatun

كَامِلَةٌۭ ۗ

in all

kāmilatun

ذَٰلِكَ

That

dhālika

لِمَن

(is) for (the one) whose

liman

لَّمْ

not

lam

يَكُنْ

is

yakun

أَهْلُهُۥ

his family

ahluhu

حَاضِرِى

present

ḥāḍirī

ٱلْمَسْجِدِ

(near) Al-Masjid

l-masjidi

ٱلْحَرَامِ ۚ

Al-Haraam

l-ḥarāmi

وَٱتَّقُوا۟

And fear

wa-ittaqū

ٱللَّهَ

Allah

l-laha

وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟

and know

wa-iʿ'lamū

أَنَّ

that

anna

ٱللَّهَ

Allah

l-laha

شَدِيدُ

(is) severe

shadīdu

ٱلْعِقَابِ

(in) retribution

l-ʿiqābi

Completad la peregrinación mayor y menor en honor a Dios. Pero en caso de que algo os impida completarla, sacrificad el animal que podáis como ofrenda. No os afeitéis la cabeza hasta que la ofrenda llegue al lugar de sacrificio. Si alguien está enfermo o sufre una dolencia en su cabeza [y se afeita] deberá expiar ayunando o dando limosna o sacrificando. Si hay seguridad [en el camino], entonces quien haga la peregrinación menor [durante los meses de la peregrinación mayor] y luego la peregrinación mayor, que sacrifique la ofrenda según sus posibilidades, y si no encuentra qué sacrificar o no dispone de medios, deberá ayunar tres días durante la peregrinación y siete a su regreso [a su lugar de origen]: en total diez días. Esto es para quienes no viven en las proximidades de la Mezquita Sagrada. Cumplid con los ritos y sabed que Dios es severo en el castigo.
