And He has cast

wa-alqā

ٱلْأَرْضِ

the earth

رَوَٰسِىَ

firm mountains

rawāsiya

أَن

lest

an

تَمِيدَ

it should shake

tamīda

بِكُمْ

with you

bikum

وَأَنْهَـٰرًۭا

and rivers

wa-anhāran

وَسُبُلًۭا

and roads

wasubulan

لَّعَلَّكُمْ

so that you may

laʿallakum

تَهْتَدُونَ

be guided

tahtadūna

١٥

Dios afirmó la tierra con montañas para que se estabilizara, dispuso ríos y caminos para que podáis guiaros,

وَعَلَـٰمَـٰتٍۢ ۚ

And landmarks

waʿalāmātin

وَبِٱلنَّجْمِ

And by the stars

wabil-najmi

هُمْ

they

hum

يَهْتَدُونَ

guide themselves

y también señales, y para que os orientéis en vuestros viajes, [ha creado] las estrellas.

Then is He Who

¿Es procedente comparar a Quien es capaz de crear con quien no puede crear nada? ¿Acaso no recapacitáis?

إِنَّ

Indeed

ٱللَّهَ

Allah

l-laha

لَغَفُورٌۭ

(is) Oft-Forgiving

laghafūrun

رَّحِيمٌۭ

Most Merciful

raḥīmun

Si intentarais contar las gracias de Dios no podríais enumerarlas. Dios es Absolvedor, Misericordioso.

And Allah

Dios sabe lo que ocultáis y lo que manifestáis.

وَٱلَّذِينَ

And those whom

يَدْعُونَ

they invoke

شَيْـًۭٔا

وَهُمْ

but (are) themselves

[Los ídolos] a quienes invocáis en lugar de Dios, no solo no pueden crear absolutamente nada, sino que ellos mismos fueron creados.

(They are) dead

they will be resurrected

Son [objetos] inertes, sin vida. ¿Cómo van a saber ellos cuándo serán resucitados?

Your god

فَٱلَّذِينَ

But those who

يُؤْمِنُونَ

believe

yu'minūna

بِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ

in the Hereafter

bil-ākhirati

قُلُوبُهُم

their hearts

qulūbuhum

مُّنكِرَةٌۭ

refuse

munkiratun

وَهُم

and they

wahum

مُّسْتَكْبِرُونَ

(are) arrogant

mus'takbirūna

Vuestra divinidad es una sola, pero los corazones de quienes no creen en la otra vida no admiten [la fe] porque son soberbios.

No hay duda de que Dios sabe lo que ocultáis y lo que manifestáis. Él no ama a los soberbios.

And when

قَالُوٓا۟

They say

أَسَـٰطِيرُ

Tales

asāṭīru

ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

(of) the ancient

l-awalīna

٢٤

Cuando se les pregunta [a los idólatras]: “¿Qué opináis sobre lo que ha revelado vuestro Señor?” Responden: “Son leyendas de los antiguos”.

لِيَحْمِلُوٓا۟

That they may bear

liyaḥmilū

أَوْزَارَهُمْ

their own burdens

awzārahum

كَامِلَةًۭ

(in) full

kāmilatan

يَوْمَ

on (the) Day

yawma

ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ۙ

(of) the Resurrection

l-qiyāmati

وَمِنْ

and of

wamin

أَوْزَارِ

the burdens

awzāri

ٱلَّذِينَ

(of) those whom

alladhīna

يُضِلُّونَهُم

they misled [them]

yuḍillūnahum

بِغَيْرِ

without

bighayri

عِلْمٍ ۗ

knowledge

ʿil'min

أَلَا

Unquestionably

alā

سَآءَ

evil

sāa

مَا

(is) what

mā

يَزِرُونَ

they will bear

yazirūna

٢٥

Éstos cargarán con sus propios pecados el Día de la Resurrección, y con parte de los pecados de aquellos a quienes extraviaron y que les siguieron por ignorancia. ¡Qué pésima es la carga que llevarán!

فَخَرَّ

so fell

fakharra

عَلَيْهِمُ

upon them

ʿalayhimu

ٱلسَّقْفُ

the roof

l-saqfu

مِن

from

min

فَوْقِهِمْ

above them

fawqihim

وَأَتَىٰهُمُ

and came to them

wa-atāhumu

ٱلْعَذَابُ

the punishment

l-ʿadhābu

مِنْ

from

min

حَيْثُ

where

ḥaythu

لَا

they (did) not perceive

lā

يَشْعُرُونَ

they (did) not perceive

yashʿurūna

٢٦

También se confabularon [los incrédulos] anteriormente [en Babel], pero Dios destruyó sus [altas] edificaciones desde los cimientos y los techos se derrumbaron sobre ellos. El castigo les llegó de donde menos lo esperaban.
