وَمَا But what wamā (is) for them lahum that not allā (should) punish them yuʿadhibahumu Allah l-lahu while they wahum hinder (people) yaṣuddūna from ʿani Al-Masjid l-masjidi Al-Haraam l-ḥarāmi while not wamā they are kānū its guardians awliyāahu Not (can be) in its guardians awliyāuhu except illā the ones who fear Allah l-mutaqūna but walākinna most of them aktharahum (do) not lā know yaʿlamūna
¿Por qué no iba Dios a castigarlos si ellos impiden [a los creyentes] el ingreso a la Mezquita Sagrada, sin ser los protectores [legítimos de la Mezquita Sagrada]? que sepan que los [legítimos] protectores son los piadosos. Pero la mayoría de los idólatras no lo sabe.
وَمَا And not wamā was kāna their prayer ṣalātuhum at ʿinda the House l-bayti except illā whistling mukāan and clapping wataṣdiyatan So taste fadhūqū the punishment l-ʿadhāba because bimā you used to kuntum disbelieve takfurūna
Su oración ante la Casa Sagrada [de La Meca] no era más que silbidos y aplausos. Sufrid [¡oh, idólatras!] el castigo por vuestro rechazo obstinado a la verdad.
إِنَّ Indeed inna those who alladhīna disbelieve kafarū they spend yunfiqūna their wealth amwālahum to hinder (people) liyaṣuddū from ʿan (the) way sabīli (of) Allah l-lahi So they will spend it fasayunfiqūnahā then thumma it will be takūnu for them ʿalayhim a regret ḥasratan then thumma they will be overcome yugh'labūna And those who wa-alladhīna disbelieve kafarū to ilā Hell jahannama they will be gathered yuḥ'sharūna
Los que se niegan a creer gastan su dinero para apartar a la gente del sendero de Dios. Seguirán gastando hasta lamentarlo, y finalmente serán vencidos. Los que se niegan a creer serán finalmente congregados en el Infierno.
لِيَمِيزَ That may distinguish liyamīza Allah l-lahu the wicked l-khabītha from mina the good l-ṭayibi and place wayajʿala the wicked l-khabītha some of them baʿḍahu on ʿalā others baʿḍin and heap them fayarkumahu all together jamīʿan and put them fayajʿalahu in fī Hell jahannama Those ulāika they humu (are) the losers l-khāsirūna
Así Dios diferenciará al corrupto del honesto, y reunirá a los perversos unos con otros y les congregará en el Infierno. Ésos serán los perdedores.
قُل Say qul to those who lilladhīna disbelieve kafarū if in they cease yantahū will be forgiven yugh'far for them lahum what mā [verily] qad (is) past salafa But if wa-in they return yaʿūdū then verily faqad preceded maḍat (the) practice sunnatu (of) the former (people) l-awalīna
Diles a los que se niegan a creer que si desisten [y abrazan el Islam] les será perdonado cuanto cometieron en el pasado; pero si persisten, tendrán el mismo destino de los pueblos que les precedieron.
وَقَـٰتِلُوهُمْ And fight them waqātilūhum until ḥattā not lā there is takūna oppression fit'natun and is wayakūna the religion l-dīnu all of it kulluhu for Allah lillahi But if fa-ini they cease intahaw then indeed fa-inna Allah l-laha of what bimā they do yaʿmalūna (is) All-Seer baṣīrun
Combatid [a los criminales] hasta que cese la opresión y todos puedan adorar libremente a Dios. Pero si desisten [de perseguir a los creyentes] Dios bien ve lo que hacen.
وَإِن And if wa-in they turn away tawallaw then know fa-iʿ'lamū that anna Allah l-laha (is) your Protector mawlākum Excellent niʿ'ma (is) the Protector l-mawlā and Excellent waniʿ'ma (is) the Helper l-naṣīru
Pero si se niegan [y prefieren seguir persiguiendo a los creyentes], sabed que Dios es vuestro Protector. ¡Qué excelente Protector y qué excelente Defensor!
