فَلَمْ And not falam you kill them taqtulūhum but walākinna Allah l-laha killed them qatalahum And not wamā you threw ramayta when idh you threw ramayta but walākinna Allah l-laha threw ramā and that He may test waliyub'liya the believers l-mu'minīna from Him min'hu (with) a trial balāan good ḥasanan Indeed inna Allah l-laha (is) All-Hearing samīʿun All-Knowing ʿalīmun
No fuisteis vosotros quienes les mataron [a sus enemigos] sino que fue Dios quien les dio muerte, y no fuiste tú [¡Oh, Muhámmad!] quien arrojó [el polvo que llegó a los ojos del enemigo en el combate], sino que fue Dios Quien lo hizo. Dios agracia así a los creyentes. Dios todo lo oye, todo lo sabe.
ذَٰلِكُمْ That (is the case) dhālikum and that wa-anna Allah (is) l-laha one who makes weak mūhinu (the) plan kaydi (of) the disbelievers l-kāfirīna
Eso fue para que Dios desbaratara las confabulaciones de los que se niegan a creer.
إِن If in you ask for victory tastaftiḥū then certainly faqad has come to you jāakumu the victory l-fatḥu And if wa-in you desist tantahū then it (is) fahuwa good khayrun for you lakum but if wa-in you return taʿūdū We will return (too) naʿud And never walan will avail tugh'niya you ʿankum your forces fi-atukum anything shayan even if walaw (they are) numerous kathurat And that wa-anna Allah l-laha (is) with maʿa the believers l-mu'minīna
[¡Oh, incrédulos!] Pedisteis que triunfara quien estuviera en la verdad, y esto fue lo que ocurrió. Sabed que si desistís [de combatir al Islam y a los creyentes] será mejor para vosotros; pero si volvéis a hacerlo volveré [a castigaros] y de nada os servirán vuestros ejércitos, aunque fueran numerosos. Porque Dios está con los creyentes.
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا O you yāayyuhā who alladhīna believe āmanū Obey aṭīʿū Allah l-laha and His Messenger warasūlahu And (do) not walā turn away tawallaw from him ʿanhu while you wa-antum hear tasmaʿūna
¡Oh, creyentes! Obedeced a Dios y a Su Mensajero, y no le deis la espalda al escuchar [el mensaje].
وَلَا And (do) not walā be takūnū like those who ka-alladhīna say qālū We heard samiʿ'nā while they wahum (do) not lā hear yasmaʿūna
No seáis como quienes dicen: “Oímos”, pero no prestan atención.
۞ إِنَّ Indeed inna worst sharra (of) the living creatures l-dawābi near ʿinda Allah l-lahi (are) the deaf l-ṣumu the dumb l-buk'mu those who alladhīna (do) not lā use (their) intellect yaʿqilūna
Las peores criaturas para Dios son los sordos [que no quieren oír la Verdad] y los mudos [que no quieren atestiguar la Verdad], los que no razonan.
وَلَوْ And if walaw (had) known ʿalima Allah l-lahu in them fīhim any good khayran surely, He (would) have made them hear la-asmaʿahum And if walaw He had made them hear asmaʿahum surely they would have turned away latawallaw while they wahum (were) averse muʿ'riḍūna
Si Dios supiera que en ellos hay algún bien les haría oír, pero aun si les hiciera oír le darían la espalda, desentendiéndose.
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا O you yāayyuhā who alladhīna believe āmanū Respond is'tajībū to Allah lillahi and His Messenger walilrrasūli when idhā he calls you daʿākum to what limā gives you life yuḥ'yīkum And know wa-iʿ'lamū that anna Allah l-laha comes yaḥūlu (in) between bayna a man l-mari and his heart waqalbihi and that wa-annahu to Him ilayhi you will be gathered tuḥ'sharūna
¡Oh, creyentes! Obedeced a Dios y al Mensajero cuando os invitan a practicar aquello que os da vida, y sabed que Dios se interpone entre la persona y [los deseos de] su corazón. Ante Dios compareceréis.
وَٱتَّقُوا۟ And fear wa-ittaqū a trial fit'natan not lā which will afflict tuṣībanna those who alladhīna do wrong ẓalamū among you minkum exclusively khāṣṣatan And know wa-iʿ'lamū that anna Allah l-laha (is) severe shadīdu (in) the penalty l-ʿiqābi
Cuidaos de una prueba que afligirá no solamente a los opresores, sino a todos. Dios es severo en el castigo.
