فَإِن Then if fa-in Allah returns you rajaʿaka Allah returns you l-lahu to ilā a group ṭāifatin of them min'hum and they ask you permission fa-is'tadhanūka to go out lil'khurūji then say faqul Never lan will you come out takhrujū with me maʿiya ever abadan and never walan will you fight tuqātilū with me maʿiya any enemy ʿaduwwan Indeed, you innakum were satisfied raḍītum with sitting bil-quʿūdi (the) first awwala time marratin so sit fa-uq'ʿudū with maʿa those who stay behind l-khālifīna
Si Dios te trae nuevamente [después de la batalla de Tabuk] ante un grupo de ellos [los hipócritas], y te piden permiso para salir a combatir [en otra batalla], diles: “No marcharéis ni combatiréis conmigo contra un enemigo jamás, porque os complacisteis en rezagaros la primera vez; quedaos entonces con los que se rezagan”.
