وَإِذَا And when wa-idhā it is said qīla to them lahum Come taʿālaw to ilā what mā has (been) revealed anzala (by) Allah l-lahu and to wa-ilā the Messenger l-rasūli they said qālū Sufficient for us ḥasbunā (is) what mā we found wajadnā upon it ʿalayhi our forefathers ābāanā Even though awalaw (that) kāna their forefathers ābāuhum (were) not lā knowing yaʿlamūna anything shayan and not walā they (were) guided yahtadūna
Cuando se les dice: “Tomad lo que Dios ha revelado y seguid al Mensajero”, dicen: “Nos basta con lo que nos transmitieron nuestros padres”, a pesar de que sus padres eran ignorantes y no estaban bien encaminados.
