لَّقَدْ Certainly laqad disbelieved kafara those who alladhīna said qālū Indeed inna Allah l-laha He huwa (is) the Messiah l-masīḥu son ub'nu (of) Maryam maryama Say qul Then who faman has power yamliku against mina Allah l-lahi (in) anything shayan if in He intends arāda to an destroy yuh'lika the Messiah l-masīḥa son ib'na (of) Maryam maryama and his mother wa-ummahu and whoever waman (is) in fī the earth l-arḍi all jamīʿan And for Allah walillahi (is the) dominion mul'ku (of) the heavens l-samāwāti and the earth wal-arḍi and what wamā (is) between both of them baynahumā He creates yakhluqu what mā He wills yashāu and Allah wal-lahu (is) on ʿalā every kulli thing shayin All-Powerful qadīrun
Son incrédulos quienes dicen: “Jesús hijo de María es Dios”. Diles: “¿Quién podría impedir que Dios exterminara al Mesías hijo de María, a su madre y a todo cuanto existe en la Tierra, si así lo quisiera?” A Dios pertenece el reino de los cielos y de la Tierra, y todo lo que existe entre ambos. Dios crea lo que Le place, porque Él tiene poder sobre todas las cosas.

Dicen judíos y cristianos: “Somos hijos de Dios y sus predilectos”. Diles: “Si así fuera, ¿por qué os castigará por los pecados que cometéis? Sois como el resto de la humanidad, seres creados por Él. Dios perdona a quien quiere y castiga a quien quiere. A Dios pertenece el reino de los cielos y de la tierra, y todo lo que existe entre ambos, y ante Él compareceremos [para que nos juzgue por nuestras acciones]”.
