ثُمَّ Then thumma you antum (are) those hāulāi (who) kill taqtulūna yourselves anfusakum and evict watukh'rijūna a party farīqan of you minkum from min their homes diyārihim you support one another taẓāharūna against them ʿalayhim in sin bil-ith'mi and [the] transgression wal-ʿud'wāni And if wa-in they come to you yatūkum (as) captives usārā you ransom them tufādūhum while it wahuwa (was) forbidden muḥarramun to you ʿalaykum their eviction ikh'rājuhum So do you believe afatu'minūna in part (of) bibaʿḍi the Book l-kitābi and disbelieve watakfurūna in part bibaʿḍin Then what famā (should be the) recompense jazāu (for the one) who man does yafʿalu that dhālika among you minkum except illā disgrace khiz'yun in fī the life l-ḥayati (of) the world l-dun'yā and (on the) Day wayawma of [the] Resurrection l-qiyāmati they will be sent back yuraddūna to ilā (the) most severe ashaddi punishment l-ʿadhābi And not wamā (is) Allah l-lahu unaware bighāfilin of what ʿammā you do taʿmalūna
Pero fuisteis vosotros mismos quienes matasteis y expulsasteis a algunos de los vuestros de sus hogares, haciendo causa común contra ellos con pecado y violación de la ley. Si alguno de ellos caía cautivo, pagabais el rescate por él, pero el haberlos expulsado era ya ilícito. ¿Acaso creéis en una parte del libro y descreéis de otra? ¿Cuál es la consecuencia de quienes obran así sino la humillación en la vida mundanal y el castigo más severo el Día de la Resurrección? [Sabed que] Dios no está desatento de cuanto hacen.
