وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who wa-alladhīna die yutawaffawna among you minkum and leave behind wayadharūna (their) wives azwājan (should make) a will waṣiyyatan for their wives li-azwājihim provision matāʿan for ilā the year l-ḥawli without ghayra driving (them) out ikh'rājin But if fa-in they leave kharajna then no falā blame junāḥa upon you ʿalaykum in fī what mā they do faʿalna concerning fī themselves anfusihinna [of] min honorably maʿrūfin And Allah wal-lahu (is) All-Mighty ʿazīzun All-Wise ḥakīmun
Los casados, al morir, dejan a su viuda un legado que consiste en un año de manutención y que no sean obligadas a abandonar el domicilio conyugal; pero si lo abandonaran antes, no serán reprochados de lo que ellas dispongan hacer consigo mismas [rehaciendo sus vidas siempre que sea] de manera correcta. Dios es Poderoso, Sabio.
