وَدَّ Wish[ed] wadda many kathīrun from min (the) People ahli (of) the Book l-kitābi if law they could turn you back yaruddūnakum from min after baʿdi your (having) faith īmānikum (to) disbelievers kuffāran (out of) jealousy ḥasadan from min (of) ʿindi themselves anfusihim (even) from min after baʿdi [what] mā became clear tabayyana to them lahumu the truth l-ḥaqu So forgive fa-iʿ'fū and overlook wa-iṣ'faḥū until ḥattā brings yatiya Allah l-lahu His Command bi-amrihi Indeed inna Allah l-laha on ʿalā every kulli thing shayin (is) All-Powerful qadīrun
Muchos de entre la Gente del Libro quisieran que renegarais de vuestra fe y volvierais a ser incrédulos, por la envidia que os tienen, [incluso] después de habérseles evidenciado a ellos la verdad. Pero perdonad y disculpad hasta que Dios decida sobre ellos. Dios tiene poder sobre todas las cosas.
