وَمَآ And not wamā We sent arsalnā before you qablaka any mina Messengers l-mur'salīna but illā indeed, they innahum [surely] ate layakulūna food l-ṭaʿāma and walked wayamshūna in fī the markets l-aswāqi And We have made wajaʿalnā some of you baʿḍakum for others libaʿḍin a trial fit'natan will you have patience ataṣbirūna And is wakāna your Lord rabbuka All-Seer baṣīran
Todos los Mensajeros que envié antes de ti [¡Oh, Muhámmad!] se alimentaban y caminaban por el mercado [procurando su sustento]. Les ponemos a prueba unos con otros, para que se evidencie quién es paciente. Tu Señor lo ve todo.
