أَوَلَا Do not awalā they see yarawna that they annahum are tried yuf'tanūna [in] fī every kulli year ʿāmin once marratan or aw twice marratayni Yet thumma not lā they turn (in repentance) yatūbūna and not walā they hum pay heed yadhakkarūna
¿Acaso no ven que son puestos a prueba cada año una o dos veces? Pero aun así no se arrepienten ni reflexionan.
وَإِذَا And whenever wa-idhā And whenever mā is revealed unzilat a Surah sūratun look naẓara some of them baʿḍuhum to ilā others baʿḍin Does hal see you yarākum any min one aḥadin Then thumma they turn away inṣarafū Allah has turned away ṣarafa Allah has turned away l-lahu their hearts qulūbahum because they bi-annahum (are) a people qawmun not lā they understand yafqahūna
Cuando un capítulo [del Corán] es revelado, [los hipócritas] se miran entre sí [y susurran]: “¿Acaso alguien puede ver [lo que hay en nuestros corazones]?”, y se alejan. Pero Dios ha alejado sus corazones [de la verdad] porque son gente que no la comprende.
