الإنفطار
إِذَا When idhā the sky l-samāu (is) cleft asunder infaṭarat
Cuando el cielo se rompa,
وَإِذَا And when wa-idhā the stars l-kawākibu scatter intatharat
cuando los planetas salgan de sus órbitas,
وَإِذَا And when wa-idhā the seas l-biḥāru are made to gush forth fujjirat
cuando los mares se desborden
وَإِذَا And when wa-idhā the graves l-qubūru are overturned buʿ'thirat
y cuando las tumbas se abran.
عَلِمَتْ Will know ʿalimat a soul nafsun what mā it has sent forth qaddamat and left behind wa-akharat
En ese momento sabrá cada alma lo que hizo de bien y de mal.
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا O yāayyuhā man l-insānu What mā has deceived you gharraka concerning your Lord birabbika the Most Noble l-karīmi
¡Oh, seres humanos! ¿Qué fue lo que os engañó para que os apartarais de vuestro Señor Generoso?
ٱلَّذِى Who alladhī created you khalaqaka then fashioned you fasawwāka then balanced you faʿadalaka
Quien os creó, os dio forma y una conformación armoniosa,
فِىٓ In fī whatever ayyi form ṣūratin what mā He willed shāa He assembled you rakkabaka
y os dio la más hermosa figura que quiso.
كَلَّا Nay kallā But bal you deny tukadhibūna the Judgment bil-dīni
Pero aun así desmentís el Día del Juicio.
وَإِنَّ And indeed wa-inna over you ʿalaykum (are) surely guardians laḥāfiẓīna
Hay ángeles que registran vuestras obras,
يَعْلَمُونَ They know yaʿlamūna whatever mā you do tafʿalūna
que saben lo que hacéis.
