فَدَلَّىٰهُمَا So he made both of them fall fadallāhumā by deception bighurūrin Then when falammā they both tasted dhāqā the tree l-shajarata became apparent badat to both of them lahumā their shame sawātuhumā and they began waṭafiqā (to) fasten yakhṣifāni over themselves ʿalayhimā from min (the) leaves waraqi (of) the Garden l-janati And called them both wanādāhumā their Lord rabbuhumā Did not alam I forbid you both anhakumā from ʿan this til'kumā [the] tree l-shajarati and [I] say wa-aqul to both of you lakumā that inna [the] Shaitaan l-shayṭāna to both of you lakumā (is) an enemy ʿaduwwun open mubīnun
Les sedujo con engaños. Cuando ambos comieron del árbol se les hizo manifiesta su desnudez y comenzaron a cubrirse con hojas del Jardín. Entonces su Señor los llamó: “¿No os había prohibido comer de este árbol? ¿No os había advertido que el demonio era su enemigo declarado?”
قَالَا Both of them said qālā Our Lord rabbanā we have wronged ẓalamnā ourselves anfusanā and if wa-in not lam You forgive taghfir [for] us lanā and have mercy (on) us watarḥamnā surely, we will be lanakūnanna among mina the losers l-khāsirīna
Ellos dijeron [arrepentidos]: “¡Señor nuestro! Hemos sido injustos con nosotros mismos; si no nos perdonas y nos tienes misericordia, seremos de los perdidos”.
