وَأَصْحَـٰبُ And (the) companions wa-aṣḥābu (of) the left l-shimāli what mā (are the) companions aṣḥābu (of) the left l-shimāli
¡Pero qué desafortunados serán los compañeros de la izquierda!
فِى In fī scorching fire samūmin and scalding water waḥamīmin
Atormentados por un viento abrasador y un líquido hirviente,
وَظِلٍّۢ And a shade waẓillin of min black smoke yaḥmūmin
a la sombra de un humo negro,
لَّا Not lā cool bāridin and not walā pleasant karīmin
que no será fresca ni agradable.
إِنَّهُمْ Indeed, they innahum were kānū before qabla that dhālika indulging in affluence mut'rafīna
Porque se entregaron a los lujos superfluos,
وَكَانُوا۟ And were wakānū persisting yuṣirrūna in ʿalā the sin l-ḥinthi the great l-ʿaẓīmi
se aferraron al más terrible pecado
وَكَانُوا۟ And they used (to) wakānū say yaqūlūna When a-idhā we die mit'nā and become wakunnā dust turāban and bones waʿiẓāman will we a-innā surely be resurrected lamabʿūthūna
y preguntaban burlándose: “¿Acaso cuando muramos y ya seamos tierra y huesos, vamos a ser resucitados?
أَوَءَابَآؤُنَا And also our fathers awaābāunā former l-awalūna
¿Y nuestros ancestros también?”
قُلْ Say qul Indeed inna the former l-awalīna and the later people wal-ākhirīna
Respóndeles: “Los primeros y los últimos
لَمَجْمُوعُونَ Surely, will be gathered lamajmūʿūna for ilā (the) appointment mīqāti (of) a Day yawmin well-known maʿlūmin
serán congregados en un día ya establecido.
ثُمَّ Then thumma indeed you innakum O those astray ayyuhā O those astray l-ḍālūna the deniers l-mukadhibūna
Luego, ¡oh, extraviados y desmentidores!,
لَـَٔاكِلُونَ Will surely eat laākilūna from min (the) tree shajarin of min Zaqqum zaqqūmin
habréis de comer del árbol del Zaqqum
فَمَالِـُٔونَ Then will fill famāliūna with it min'hā the bellies l-buṭūna
con el que llenaréis vuestros vientres,
فَشَـٰرِبُونَ And drink fashāribūna over it ʿalayhi [from] mina the scalding water l-ḥamīmi
y luego beberéis un líquido hirviente
فَشَـٰرِبُونَ And will drink fashāribūna (as) drinking shur'ba (of) the thirsty camels l-hīmi
como beben los camellos sedientos que no pueden saciar su sed”.
هَـٰذَا This hādhā (is) their hospitality nuzuluhum (on the) Day yawma (of) Judgment l-dīni
Esa será su morada el Día del Juicio.
