وَلَقَدْ And certainly walaqad came jāa (to the) people āla (of) Firaun fir'ʿawna warnings l-nudhuru
Mi advertencia le llegó al Faraón [y su pueblo],
كَذَّبُوا۟ They denied kadhabū Our Signs biāyātinā all of them kullihā so We seized them fa-akhadhnāhum (with) a seizure akhdha (of) All-Mighty ʿazīzin (the) Powerful One muq'tadirin
pero desmintieron todos Mis signos, y les castigué con un castigo severo, como solo puede hacer el Todopoderoso, el Omnipotente.
أَكُفَّارُكُمْ Are your disbelievers akuffārukum better khayrun than min those ulāikum or am for you lakum (is) an exemption barāatun in fī the Scriptures l-zuburi
¿Acaso los que se niegan a creer entre vosotros son mejores que estos? ¿O tienen alguna Escritura que les proporcione inmunidad?
أَمْ Or am (do) they say yaqūlūna We naḥnu (are) an assembly jamīʿun helping (each other) muntaṣirun
¿Es por ello que dicen: “Somos un grupo invencible”?
سَيُهْزَمُ Soon will be defeated sayuh'zamu (their) assembly l-jamʿu and they will turn wayuwallūna (their) backs l-dubura
Pero todos ellos serán vencidos y huirán.
بَلِ Nay bali the Hour l-sāʿatu (is) their promised time mawʿiduhum and the Hour wal-sāʿatu (will be) more grievous adhā and more bitter wa-amarru
Mas la Hora será su cita, y ese día será más terrible y amargo aún.
