يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا O you yāayyuhā who alladhīna believe āmanū Surely will test you layabluwannakumu Allah l-lahu through something bishayin of mina the game l-ṣaydi can reach it tanāluhu your hands aydīkum and your spears warimāḥukum that may make evident liyaʿlama Allah l-lahu who man fears Him yakhāfuhu in the unseen bil-ghaybi And whoever famani transgressed iʿ'tadā after baʿda that dhālika then for him falahu (is) a punishment ʿadhābun painful alīmun
¡Oh, creyentes! Dios os pondrá a prueba [mientras estéis consagrados a la peregrinación] colocando delante de vosotros presas de caza que podríais alcanzar fácilmente con vuestras manos o lanzas para distinguir quién Le teme en secreto. Quien transgreda [las leyes] tendrá un castigo doloroso.
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا O you yāayyuhā who alladhīna believe āmanū (Do) not lā kill taqtulū the game l-ṣayda while you wa-antum (are in) Ihram ḥurumun And whoever waman killed it qatalahu among you minkum intentionally mutaʿammidan then penalty fajazāon (is) similar mith'lu (to) what mā he killed qatala of mina the cattle l-naʿami judging yaḥkumu it bihi two men dhawā just ʿadlin among you minkum (as) an offering hadyan reaching bāligha the Kabah l-kaʿbati or aw an expiation kaffāratun feeding ṭaʿāmu needy people masākīna or aw equivalent ʿadlu (of) that dhālika (in) fasting ṣiyāman that he may taste liyadhūqa (the) consequence wabāla (of) his deed amrihi Pardoned ʿafā (by) Allah l-lahu what ʿammā (has) passed salafa but whoever waman returned ʿāda then will take retribution fayantaqimu Allah l-lahu from him min'hu And Allah wal-lahu (is) All-Mighty ʿazīzun Owner dhū (of) Retribution intiqāmin
¡Oh, creyentes! No cacéis mientras estéis consagrados a la peregrinación. Quien lo haga deliberadamente deberá compensarlo sacrificando una res de ganado equivalente a la que mató, la que será determinada por dos personas justas y será ofrendada [a Dios] ante la Ka‘bah [y repartida entre los necesitados], o deberá hacer una expiación alimentando a pobres o ayunando un plazo equivalente, para que sufra y comprenda las consecuencias de sus ofensas. Dios no os pedirá cuentas por lo que hayáis hecho antes de descender la legislación. Pero quien reincida, sepa que Dios le retribuirá con lo que se merece. Dios es Poderoso, Dueño de la retribución.
