وَمَا And not wamā were kāna their words qawlahum except illā that an they said qālū Our Lord rabbanā forgive igh'fir for us lanā our sins dhunūbanā and our excesses wa-is'rāfanā in fī our affairs amrinā and make firm wathabbit our feet aqdāmanā and give us victory wa-unṣur'nā over ʿalā [the people] l-qawmi the disbelievers l-kāfirīna
No pronunciaban otras palabras más que: “¡Señor nuestro! Perdona nuestros pecados y nuestros excesos. Afirma nuestros pasos y concédenos el triunfo sobre los que rechazan la verdad”.
