Those who alladhīna We gave them ātaynāhumu the Scripture l-kitāba before it min before it qablihi they hum in it bihi believe yu'minūna
And when wa-idhā it is recited yut'lā to them ʿalayhim they say qālū We believe āmannā in it bihi Indeed, it innahu (is) the truth l-ḥaqu from min our Lord rabbinā Indeed, we innā [we] were kunnā before it min before it qablihi Muslims mus'limīna
Those ulāika will be given yu'tawna their reward ajrahum twice marratayni because bimā they are patient ṣabarū and they repel wayadraūna with good bil-ḥasanati the evil l-sayi-ata and from what wamimmā We have provided them razaqnāhum they spend yunfiqūna
And when wa-idhā they hear samiʿū vain talk l-laghwa they turn away aʿraḍū from it ʿanhu and say waqālū For us lanā our deeds aʿmālunā and for you walakum your deeds aʿmālukum Peace (be) salāmun on you ʿalaykum not lā we seek nabtaghī the ignorant l-jāhilīna
