قَالُوا۟ They said qālū Pray ud'ʿu for us lanā (to) your Lord rabbaka to make clear yubayyin to us lanā what mā it (is) hiya He said qāla Indeed, He innahu says yaqūlu [Indeed] it innahā (is) a cow baqaratun not lā old fāriḍun and not walā young bik'run middle aged ʿawānun between bayna that dhālika so do fa-if'ʿalū what mā you are commanded tu'marūna
Dijeron: “Pide a tu Señor que nos indique cómo es”. Dijo [Moisés]: “Dios dice que la vaca no debe ser vieja ni joven, sino de edad intermedia; cumplid con lo que se os ordena”.

Dijeron: “Pide a tu Señor que nos indique de qué color es”. Dijo [Moisés]: “Él dice que es una vaca de color amarillo, intenso, que alegre a quienes la miren”.

Dijeron: “Pide a tu Señor para que nos indique cómo es, porque todas las vacas nos parecen iguales; y si Dios quiere seremos de los que siguen la guía”.
قَالَ He said qāla Indeed, He innahu says yaqūlu [Indeed] it innahā (is) a cow baqaratun not lā trained dhalūlun to plough tuthīru the earth l-arḍa and not walā water tasqī the field l-ḥartha sound musallamatun no lā blemish shiyata in it fīhā They said qālū Now l-āna you have come ji'ta with the truth bil-ḥaqi So they slaughtered it fadhabaḥūhā and not wamā they were near kādū (to) doing (it) yafʿalūna
Dijo [Moisés]: “Él dice que debe ser una vaca que no haya sido utilizada para arar la tierra ni regar los cultivos, sana y sin manchas”. Dijeron: “Por fin has dicho la verdad”. Y la degollaron, aunque estuvieron a punto de no hacerlo.
