وَإِذَا And when wa-idhā they meet laqū those who alladhīna believe[d] āmanū they say qālū We believe[d] āmannā But when wa-idhā they are alone khalaw with ilā their evil ones shayāṭīnihim they say qālū Indeed, we innā (are) with you maʿakum only innamā we naḥnu (are) mockers mus'tahziūna
Cuando se encuentran con los creyentes les dicen: “¡Somos creyentes!” Pero cuando están a solas con los malvados de entre ellos, les aseguran:
ٱللَّهُ Allah al-lahu mocks yastahzi-u at them bihim and prolongs them wayamudduhum in fī their transgression ṭugh'yānihim they wander blindly yaʿmahūna
[Pero] Dios hará que sus burlas caigan sobre ellos mismos y dejará que permanezcan extraviados, en su ceguera.
