وَجَآءَ And came wajāa (the) people ahlu (of) the city l-madīnati rejoicing yastabshirūna
Pero se presentaron los habitantes de la ciudad contentos.
قَالَ He said qāla Indeed inna these hāulāi (are) my guests ḍayfī so (do) not falā shame me tafḍaḥūni
Les dijo [Lot]: “Éstos son mis huéspedes. No me avergoncéis.
وَٱتَّقُوا۟ And fear wa-ittaqū Allah l-laha and (do) not walā disgrace me tukh'zūni
Tened temor de Dios y no me humilléis”.
قَالُوٓا۟ They said qālū Did not awalam we forbid you nanhaka from ʿani the world l-ʿālamīna
Dijeron: “¿No te habíamos prohibido que protegieras a la gente [en tu casa]?”
قَالَ He said qāla These hāulāi (are) my daughters banātī if in you would be kuntum doers fāʿilīna
Les respondió: “Aquí están mis hijas si queréis [casaros]”.
لَعَمْرُكَ By your life laʿamruka indeed, they innahum were in lafī their intoxication sakratihim wandering blindly yaʿmahūna
[Dice Dios:] ¡Juro por tu vida! [¡Oh, Muhámmad!], que la aberración embriagaba sus mentes.
