وَيَـٰقَوْمِ And O my people wayāqawmi Work iʿ'malū (according) to ʿalā your position makānatikum indeed, I am innī working ʿāmilun Soon sawfa you will know taʿlamūna (on) whom man will come yatīhi a punishment ʿadhābun (that will) disgrace him yukh'zīhi and who waman [he] huwa (is) a liar kādhibun And watch wa-ir'taqibū indeed, I am innī with you maʿakum a watcher raqībun
¡Oh, pueblo mío! Obrad acorde a vuestros principios, que yo obraré acorde a los míos. Ya sabréis en el futuro quién recibirá un castigo humillante y quién es el que miente. ¡Estad atentos, que yo también estaré atento junto a vosotros!”
